Kevin is desperate for some rice, so he and his companions travel to the Water Kingdom - a land founded by a Otherworlder from Japan and which is known for its rice and Japanese kitchen. He meets the four Heroes there, and realizes they need training. What follows is a decently entertaining story, consisting mostly of tropes (including the typical beach scene) of the OP isekai protagonist with a few subversions. It is an enjoyable quick read, but nothing jumps out as being special: the characters are kind of one dimensional and the world a typical JRPG one.
Kelvin our protagonist has successfully integrated to his new life. He has been joined by three other companions and they are making themselves known in Parth. But a request comes and Kelvin and his party go to Toraj. Here he meets with the Heroes of the Age. But he figures he must help them out by training them as he is further ahead of them at this point in their careers. More battles and more monsters to read and enjoy.
Having gotten comfortable in his home city, he decides to go over the border for rice. Meets champions, who are also from Japan, and gives them some pointers. There might also be a bandit gang and a friendly queen involved...
By the book, standard Isekai book. No surprises, but a pleasant read.
A 7hr audio book. Like the first book, this was not amazing, but it does have some really good characters and fun Litrpg ideas, I am curious how far they will carry the main story, the main protagonist is overpowered as is, will they continue to level past 100 making him and his allies even stronger?
This is a great series that I can't get enough of. I'm looking forward to the next installment of my now 2nd favorite book series I would love it if they came out a little faster but you shouldn't rush awesome.
