Eryn Scott is the author of heartwarming cozy mysteries. Her novels feature close friendships and strong families because those are the most important things in her life -- a little humor doesn't hurt either.

She calls the Pacific Northwest home and doesn't plan on changing that anytime soon. Eryn loves to hike, horseback ride, knit, ski, and read. She believes musicals are the greatest thing since lattes, even though she's not particularly good at singing or dancing -- hey, a girl can dream, right?

Her first cozy mystery series, Pepper Brooks, is based on some of the greats in classic literature. Each book features a different author from Shakespeare to Austen. Eryn's newest series is set in a little town called Stoneybrook. The Stoneybrook Mysteries follow local jam-maker Hadley James as she solves mysteries in her town's year-round farmers market. From deceased knitters to sabotaged florists, these crafty citizens keep Hadley and her twin brother, a deputy sheriff, on their toes. Pebble Cove Teahouse Mysteries are great for readers who love a hint of paranormal with their mysteries. These books feature a tiny town tucked between craggy coastline and rocky shores with quirky characters of both the living and non-living variety. Look for new releases from all three of these series in 2022 as well as Eryn Scott's new cozy series.

This was a clean cozy mystery with likable characters and just a touch of romance. Hadley, Paul, Suze and Leo all work together to solve this murder that involves blackmail and internet/tech shenanigans.

The pitfalls of technology

A good read. Had me fooled until nearly the end as to who the culprit was. Good to see that her old issues are getting forgotten and that her romantic life has taken an upswing. Good plot that shows the damage we can do by roaming the Internet and then not really knowing the person we ask to fix our computers/laptops.
She has been rushed off her feet but has decided to accompany Luke on a first visit to the new smoothy business that has opened up. Not expecting to find the ody of a young woman in the alley behind the shop. A woman that has apparently lived in their small town for over a year but that no one seems to know. Add in a cat locked in a hot car, a computer helper business, blackmail and a list of suspects. But who killed the woman and why? Plus why was the cat stolen from her house and now that she and Luke have agreed to date, what is in store from them?

There's a new shop in town and suddenly there's a new murder as well. The body wasn't the shop owner, but she did discover it (she has an alibi). no one seems to know who the victim is until two friend spot and rescue a kitten from an overheated car owned by the victim and the law discovers that the victim has lived relatively unseen in their small town for about a year. Let the sleuthing begin! There's a little romance on the side but it doesn't overpower the great mysteries of the book.
Narrator Jennifer Jill Araya has an enthusiastic delivery that adds so much to the story.

Fantastic mystery

Just when you were getting comfortable with Stoneybrook and thought you knew every one and their motives Eryn threw us a major curveball.

Be prepared for excitement, more guessing games than ever and a fresh perspective on Stoneybrook.

Also two new recipes!!

5 Star review A Juicy Murder (Stoneybrook Mystery #5) by Eryn Scott

Audio Review:

I loved this book from start to finish. It’s a cozy mystery and one that I found thoroughly entertaining. In fact I listened to this one in almost one go as I kept saying, just one more chapter.

The narrator Jennifer Jill Araya did a fabulous job and certainly kept me entertained. This was a a book filled with secrets, miss communication and enough clues to indulge my detective spirit. The intrigue and suspense kept me on riveted as I listened to this story.
There are many twists, turns and surprises in Juicy Murder as Hadley, her brother and her band of friends follow the clues and I have to say that I was a little shocked on occasion.
I was given this free review copy of this audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I love how the titles are linked to the crime in this series. A new juice bar opened up and there's two new residences of Stoneybrook, one ends up dead, the other standing over her. There's a new kitten. And the sleuths split up to follow three main suspects. There's love in the air as well.

This is my favorite of the series so far. It’s so cozy for all the right reasons. I can’t stop coming back to Stonybrook. And I can’t stop coming back to Eryn Scott’s novels. They are such a comfort to me.

I really enjoyed this book and In fact I just love the series and highly recommend every book. The mystery is good with a number of twists but it is the characters that really make the story so much fun,. They are so likeable and because I started with book one they now feel like old friends and it is like catching up with friends as each new book comes out. The author creates such a colourful world with her words and description that it is easy to picture and imagine. I am off to start the next book which is unusual because I like to break up a series so I don't finish it to quickly but with this series I can't wait to start the next book.
There is a new shop in Stoneybrook that is proving to be very popular with villagers. That is until a stranger is found murdered in the alleyway behind the shop. Hadley's twin brother has his work cut out for him as the deputy in charge of the investigation because despite the victim having lived in the village for a year nobody knows who she is or won't admit to knowing her. He soon enlists help from Hadley, Luke and Suez in questioning the three leading suspects because they might be more willing to open up to someone that isn't in a uniform. All three have very strong motives but also alibi's. Can Hadley and her friends find a clue that will help the police make an arrest? As Luke and Hadley's friendship grows stronger they also come to the aid of a trapped cat. Could that prove to be a turning point in the case or there relationship?
I like the narrator and think she really helps bring the characters to life with her bubbly voices.

As a cat lover this case hit me right in the feels.
If you are cat sensitive I'm just going to say, there's a cat-napping inside this one.

Paul and the Scooby gang have their work cut out for them.
With each case Paul understandably get's more anxious at the fact that his family and friends are putting themselves at risk to solve the case with him. This case has them more at risk than ever.

It was so fun to see how the town reacts to not only a new member of the community but also a member that has been living under the radar for a full year. Really gives new meaning to the idea of if you truly know your community. For such a tight nit place like Stoneybrook, the answer is filled with red flags when it comes to the latest victim.

Eryn does a fantastic job at balancing such a large cast in these books. With each one we dive into members of the town, while also getting to know the main four better as their lives intertwine more. All admit I am not a fan of 3rd person cozies, but this is an example of it done right.

The entire cast breathes emotion and while I can definitely see where there would have been deeper connections formed between me and the characters had it been in 1st, I can't put these books down. Hadley and Luke's entire situation this book had me a swoony mess.

Now that I'm half way in the series I'm already heartbroken that I'll have to leave this cast of characters soon.

Juice can be murder!

Who knew a juice bar could be deadly?! Well, when you get Hadley, Luke, Paul, and Suzanne involved you know there will be plenty of fun...cats...and murder. And that's exactly what you get in A Juicy Murder!

I have to say that it's been interesting to see what tough and even dark issues Eryn Scott will take on in her fun and entertaining A Stoneybrook Mystery series. This book was no exception. I enjoyed every bit of the seeming contradiction between wholesome and mayhem that makes up a really good cozy mystery.

A Juicy Murder was a fun case to try and solve alongside Hadley and crew. Eryn Scott added plenty of twists and turns to her story which kept it interesting and me eagerly listening to find out if I was right about whodunit in the fifth Stoneybrook Mystery.

As far as audiobooks go I was pretty happy with this one. The narrator has remained the same for the series so far and she was a great choice for the job. No complaints about the sound quality or anything else. Just a great story to while away a few hours listening...

(I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

I love this book and I think that Eryn Scott really out did herself and wrote the best Stoneybrook cozy mystery yet! Of course I prolly said that in my last review, but the book in hand is often my very favorite! LOL!!!
Hadley, Luke, and Paul are hard pressed to not only solve the murder of the Jane Doe that they discovered, but to save a kitten, left too long in a hot car!
The book is tight and with the ever present susserations of the Cascade River in the background, how can you not be whisked away to Stoneybrook?
As another plus, Jennifer Jill Araya's performance makes it sooooo very easy to forget yourself, and become an honorary citizen of Stoneybrook!

This series continues to get better with every book!

I love reading cozy mysteries especially when the author tells the story so well that you feel like one of the townies. That is exactly how I feel about this cozy mystery series. This story is the fifth book of the series and just as entertaining as the first four books. I am now binge reading the series. Eryn Scott is definitely one of my favorite authors now.

If you enjoy new recipes to add to your collection, the following recipes are included in this book:
1) Gingery Rhubarb Jam
2) Quick Pickled Snap Peas
Both recipes created by Marisa McClellan, creator of Food in Jars.

Juicy Lies and Stoneybrook Spies

When the newest Stoneybrook business owner is found standing over a body, Deputy Paul calls in his Scooby squad to help solve the case. Hadley, Luke and Suze handle spying just about as well as Gran wrangles a laptop, but just like Millie, they get the job done.
Another great Stoneybrook mystery, with a little romance tossed in. Plus, we get to see more of the trouble up in Cascade Ridge with their slimy mayor. Like her first book, this one had me guessing until about 75%, which is extremely unusual for me. But I love cozy mysteries like this no matter when I figure them out, and still love the Stoneybrook crew.

I have enjoyed every book in the Stoneybrook Mystery series by Eryn Scott. In this story, an unknown woman is found dead outside the new Power Juice store in Stoneybrook. The town has a meeting to try and determine who the woman is. I liked the reference to the t.v. show, Gilmore Girls. Instead of being quirky and entertaining like those in Star's Hallow, the meetings in Stoneybrook are "snoozefests"! I enjoy learning more about Hadley, Paul, Suzanne, and Luke in each book and the weekly Stoneybrook Farms' markets in this small town. I also like reading about the cats who have found their forever homes.

A Juicy Murder is the 5th fun book in Eryn Scott’s A Stoneybrook Mystery series and they have all been great. Hadley James has a jam shop. Her twin brother Paul is the Deputy Sheriff and Paul is dating her best friend Suze. Hadley’s romantic interest Luke is helping out on his family’s farm and their relationship improves. The 4 of them are trying to figure out who the mysterious woman is that was killed in town. The new juice shop owner is a suspect. There are secrets and other things going on that keep this cozy mystery interesting right to the end! The audiobook is well done and the voices fit the characters. #AJuicyMurder #AStoneybrookMystery #KristophersonPress

Another great book!

Another great book! I really enjoyed this book and series. It has a little bit of romance and murder. It is a cozy mystery(no gore or foul language) The characters are believable and likeable. It has a woman who has a store where she makes jams. Her twin brother is a police officer who she helps solves murders with her two best friends from high school. It is a cozy small town where the town citizens are nosy. I highly recommend this book and series to you. Enjoy

My favorite of the series so far. Another trip to Stoneybrooke, a very charming town, filled with so many wonderful characters. Gran has been an absolutely delightful addition to the town. Another cat is introduced and plays a big part in this mystery. The dynamics of Hadley and Luke's relationship has improved and watching Hadley and Suze, now along Luke, on the hunt for clues is so much fun. Like Luke charms everyone in the town, so he does with the readers as well. Good mystery with many suspects and definitely some surprises. Looking forward to the next book, which I've already started.

A woman is murdered in Stoneybrook, but no one claims to know her. But she is not a stranger as everyone believes. Someone is lying, but are they the murderer? Or is there more that want her dead?
There are enough twists to keep you guessing. An enjoyable
cozy from Eryn Scott that I enjoyed. I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

A juicy murder

The fifth book in the Stoneybrook mystery series is quite good. If you’ve been following the series you will know the star is Hadley James but almost as important are her friends and family. The victim this time is someone who lived in Stoneybrook but nobody seems to know. It’s quite good and fun to read.

Small town secrets

Stoneybrook is great, and the main characters (and ever-expanding furry additions) continue to charm. The story is well-written and entertaining; however, the premise surrounding the murder is wildly improbable, especially in a small town where everyone knows everyone else! The mystery yields surprising reminders that small towns aren't always sleepy!

Things are going well in Stoneybrook with the addition of a new juice bar downtown. When Hadley and Luke stop by for a juice, they find the owner, Simone, standing over the body of Lacey, a relatively new member of the community. That's when her twin, Paul, enlists the help of Hadley, Luke, and his girlfriend Suze to help solve the crime. Another delightful read!
