A woman who can’t be found.
A man who can’t connect.

Barrett has worked hard to get his life exactly how he wants it. Solitary. Free from external pressure to try to be someone he isn’t. Nothing could convince him that he could possibly want anything more.

Until Clarke happened until his life with her mile-a-minute mouth, reckless impulsiveness, and her previously never before seen ability to take him just the way he is.

And he can’t help but wonder if maybe his friends and family were right; there was more to life. And even he could have it. With her.

Title: ➳ ❤ 4 Months
Series ➳ Investigators 3#
Author: ➳ Jessica Gadziala
Published July 14th 2019
Genre: Romantic Suspense/Mystery

ღ Barrett & Clarke story… As always Jessica has out done herself! Barrett is not your typical Hero in a romance story. But then course why does the hero always need to be some huge hulk of man to play the hero in a book? No Barrett is pretty much a nerdy man , but sexy nerd at that! & more into his work than life around him. Except for once he meets Clarke

we have known Detective Connor Collings for some time Navesink Bank Universe! And he is a well know man within Navesink Bank , when his daughter turn up missing , Connor turn to Barrett for help

I must admit that, I was already half way in love with Barrett from the previous Investigator books! I loved Barrett & Clarke story & the chemistry between the two of them. Most of all I loved how Clarke got all of Barrett’s Lil quarks

It took me way too long to read this book! I’ve got so behind on Jessica’s books…. But no worries I making up for lost time as fast as I can

I’m going to try my best to stay on my course of reading Navesink Bank Universe in the proper order, but no promises

I know there are so many more of Jessica Gadziala’s books I want to read, but right now my curious bones wants to read is Reese & Cyrus story

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book,

Happy Reading --- Enjoy ……. Paulette Review

description I saw this book recommended in a FB group yesterday and realized I had already bought it when it came out. 😂 I swear I need a twelve-step program for "one-clicking" 🙈 Anyway, it was cute. It didn't WOW me or anything. I thought the whole "mob" storyline was pretty stupid, and as much as I liked both Barrett and Clarke as individual characters, I never felt this burning connection between them. 🚫 Honestly, they were a very boring couple with next to no spark and zero angst. C'est la vie...

Another great read! This was the third instalment in the Investigators series and it was Barett and Clarke’s book! I loved this one as Barett is described to be on the spectrum! He’s definitely got his quirks about him! The way that Clarke treats his obsessiveness etc… is so heartwarming, and I adore her for it! The bird in the book was also a plus for me!!! All in all a fabulous read!

When his daughter went missing, Detective Connor Collings went to the best man for the job, Barrett, the least flashy and most introverted private investigator in Navesink Bank. Had Clarke gone missing or had she gone off the grid to fulfill her own dreams, not her parents’.

4 MONTHS brings two people together, one a rapid-fire whirling dervish and the other, a geeky and private guy who may not be the most socially adept person, but has a heart of gold.
Jessica Gadziala has taken on romance, danger, overbearing parental issues, and even autism, and you know what? She slammed another hit right out of the ballpark! Brilliant characters who are as endearing as they can be clumsy or a little too wired, Clarke and Barrett grow into an incredible P.I. team, but can their differences make them an incredible couple?

Get ready to feel some warm and fuzzies, because this tale has heart as once again, Jessica Gadziala proves the power of the words at her fingertips!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Jessica Gadziala!

I picked this up because I just finished Vigilante and Barrett was Luce’s friend, and shared custody of the parrot. I walked away with much the same feelings as that book. It is a well written safe romance with very likable characters. It just sort of vanilla. (no angst, drama, feels)

Bottom Line- I will continue to read this author… I like her, just find I couldn’t really sink my teeth into it. I won’t continue this series but do enjoy her mc/mafia stuff.

I love escaping into a Jessica Gadziala book for hours. 4 months is the next book in the Investigators series and gives us Barrett Anderson story who is not your typical leading man.

On the outside private investigator Barrett looks and acts like a computer geek/nerd who lives in his ciber world. But when Clarke Anderson meets him she see that his behavior, social interactions, communication and sensory sensitivities are perhaps something that was never properly diagnosed when he was a child. Clarke herself is also an interesting person in she is the daughter of Det. Conner Collings who has been in many of the Navesink Bank series. Due to his job he was an absentee husband and father which cost him his marriage and lots of lost time with his daughter which left her with daddy issues but also turned her into a tough woman who could take care of herself. I loved her and Barrett together – they were the perfect balance of each others strengths and weakness and quirks.

O.M.G. I didn’t realize how much I had wanted Barrett’s book until I read it. Him and Clarke make the most perfect couple. Barrett being on the spectrum, and his idiosyncrasies, when he showed up in previous books you wondered if there was a girl out there that could handle it, look past his quirks. Clarke walks into his life and she just fits. She gets him. She doesn’t judge, try to figure him out or try to change him. She just accepts him. And it’s absolutely beautiful.

Have you ever read a book that flowed so well. It felt seamless. Barrett and Clarke’s story was just that for me. I have had the privilege and honor of reading Jessica for a long time now and her writing style has just gotten better and better through every book she writes. Making each book such a pleasure to read.

Ever since first meeting Barrett in his brother Sawyers book I wanted more. More of his idiosyncrasies and quirky characteristics. I find that there is nothing sexier then the way Barrett’s brain works. He is absolutely brilliant. Meeting Clarke and the natural flow of their relationship was liking putting a puzzle together. They are two people who absolutely just worked. All of their amazing attributes just worked so well together. The sex scenes between these two where so hot 🔥. Fans of Jessica’s and the other books in The Investigators series you will love this book!

Barrett & Clarke. He's a private investigator, Sawyer's little brother, & Diego's babysitter. She's retired Det. Collings daughter. He's hired by Collings to find her & she's after the Turkish mob. As they come together and make a deal she becomes a permanent fixture at Barrett's office. As they spend more time together realizations are made about his "eccentric" behavior and he's puzzled over the different changes that are descending on him. A solid story exploring Barrett's "issues" and Clarke's revenge fueled past. Also a background on Det. Collings who has been in a lot of the previous books keeping the delicate criminal balance in Navesink Bank. Sawyer, Riya, Tig, & Brock all make appearances too.

Barrett and Clarke are officially one of my favorite Navesink Bank couples. Barrett has been hovering around the edges of the universe but not quite part of it. I couldn't imagine who would fit into his carefully constructed world until I met Clarke. She doesn't insert herself into his life so much as blow it wide open. They are funny and hot and brave and just right. Five coffee flavored stars.

”People underestimated how important it was to be understood, to feel completely comfortable with someone.”

It took me way too long to read this book! I usually read Jessicas books as they come out but for some reason I forgot about this one!

I absolutely love Barrett. But I love Clarke even more. They were perfect for each other.

The only reason I’m not giving this a 5 is because I was hoping for more when it came to the investigators part of the story. I felt like that was rushed.

I can’t wait till the next one!

We finally get Barrett’s story.
Loved Clarke, she is at the top for someone who I would want as a best friend.

Together they bring you more coffee mugs than one person should own (well maybe one more won’t hurt), enough food that I needed snacks while reading, and enough sweetness to make your heart smile.

Amazing book!

Lie: The saying, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”.

Truth: The saying, “the way to a PERSON’S heart is through THEIR stomach”.

Fact: Cheesecake. (That’s it, just cheesecake is a fact of life).

This story has been a long time coming. The Investigators Series didn’t get the traction others did, interest seemed to ebb and flow, and other stories got their time to shine first.

And that’s okay.

4 Months was given to us in a time where we all need to take a minute to understand each other and allow that our differences are what makes the world a beautiful place.

description

Barrett isn’t your typical tactical shooter, ripped pectorals, dripping sex and angst kind of hero. JG’s approach to Barrett’s differences are a beautiful representation about how people with tendencies and needs different from our own only require understanding and not the need to “fix” them.

Barrett also represents any child born secondary to a sibling who excels at everything they put their hands to. His need to prove to his older brother that he could make it on his own pushed him into his own business from the beginning and without it, he wouldn’t have met Clarke.

Plus I love a skinny hottie in glasses. Just sayin’.

description

Clarke was like a whirlwind of determination, chattiness, and junk food. So... like a breath of fresh air that also smells faintly of Philly Cheesesteak. Trying to prove yourself against all odds can seem like an uphill battle in a snowstorm wearing stilettos sometimes, especially in a male dominated world.

Daddy issues don’t always equal lower back tattoos, maxed credit cards, and slamming doors. Sometimes they turn out to be just the push one needs to forge their own path in life...leading them to the greatest discovery they didn’t know they were looking for.

description

Jessica has this talent for weaving three great things into a story (besides of course a great story itself): character development, incredible epilogues, and side characters.

We see bits and pieces of characters from previous books, the greatest of these being Brock. Brock who is going down, falling hard for a lady of his own, and hopefully soon. I can’t wait to yell “timber” when that time comes.

Don’t wait to start this series, don’t wait to give Barrett his dream ending, don’t wait to eat all the cheesecake. You won’t regret it.

Remember Barrett, Sawyer’s younger brother, the slender, hot nerd with sharper computer skills than your average bear? Not exactly fitting in with the muscly band of badass private investigators in Sawyer’s crew, Barrett broke off on his own and is known as the PI who will take on jobs that Sawyer can’t or won’t do… Unlike his brother and their friends, Barrett tends to keep to himself by choice. Then one day, retired Detective Collings shows up at Barrett’s messy matchbox of an office to hire him to look for Collings’ missing grown-up daughter. While Collings and his daughter, Clarke, are not close, he does care for her, so when she drops off the face of the earth for weeks, he gets worried. As it turns out, Barrett’s skills (and his willingness and propensity to flout the letter of the law in finding people) are absolutely topnotch, and he quickly tracks Clarke down in Philadelphia. Job done, Barrett is fascinated by Clarke and intrigued when she refuses to confess why she was staking out a known Turkish mob hang-out. For some reason (and this almost never happens), he’s interested in what makes her tick. Clarke is on a mission. A somewhat damaged, embittered but badass, skilled martial arts expert, she is determined to take down the mob. But why? As the unlikely pair get to know each other, a beautiful friendship unfurls, leaving us with all the feelings. Sensitive treatment of people who are socially difficult/different adds to the depth of this gorgeous story.

I fucking loved this! Finished it, as usual with Jessica’s books, in one sitting. I work with children that are on spectrum and often find myself wondering when they leave...how they’re going to get on and THIS made me feel good. Barrett is not the typical knight in shining armour but he shows his love in such different ways that it melts your heart. Clarke has got to be my favourite Navesink Lady purely because of how she is able to handle herself, take care of business and give Barett the understanding he needs. The bit at the table near the end where she soothes him when he goes into slight sensory overload? Gave me chills. By far one of my favourites!

"People underestimated how important it was to be understood, to feel completely comfortable with someone"

I wasn't sure what to expect from Barrett and Clarke's story but I was surprised by these two in all the best possible ways. From the laugh out loud moments, a bit of action and adventure, some seriously super sweet bits, family and everything in between I couldn't have loved this book more. 💜

Sometimes when you least expect it something/someone absolutely wonderful gets thrown in your path; a person..."your person" that just gets you in every way that counts; this was that story. 4 Months is definitely my favourite in the Investigators Series so far && a five ⭐️ coffee cups ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ read for sure!

I really loved this book. Barrett is a bit eccentric so of course he’d find a women who is too. I thought Barrett and Clarke were a perfect match especially with Clarke being Detective Collings daughter. I loved getting to climb into the inner workings of Barrett’s mind and understanding him better. This book was very endearing with a little steam and some pretty funny moments. It was a great addition to Jessica Gadziala’s book line up!

I couldn’t wait for Barrett’s story. From his first mention years ago. Messy office, coffee cups, cryptic papers, what’s not to love? Clarke was his perfect counter. I throughly enjoyed the story and it was over way to soon. Another great story by Jessica!

WOW!! What a really great book.

I flippin adore Barrett. I was so excited to get his story and 4 Months did NOT disappoint. Clarke was the absolute best possible person to pair with him. They just clicked. They fit together so easily, and it made my heart feel all warm and cozy with how Clarke understood Barrett so quickly and never made him feel uncomfortable.

I had a smile on my face for the majority of this book. There were so many sweet scenes and the ending was just perfect. Jessica Gadziala knocked it out of the park with this one.

I can't wait to get Brock's book and meet the girl who brings him to his knees.

RE-READ 12-06-21:
I am so glad I re-read this book! I had forgotten so many of the details about how great Clarke is with Barrett. And Barrett, that man is such a sweet and gentle person. The epilogue is the best and I enjoyed how far it let us see into their beautiful future. I hope we get Brock's book soon to learn about the leading lady who settles him down.

If I could give this book 6 stars I absolutely would!! Seeing Barrett and Clarke come together was absolutely beautiful. She understands him from almost moment one, and while he still gets lost in his own head, he tries so hard to make things clear with her in a loving way.

It's odd to see a book from Jessica being a slow burn ride while still including the action and suspense I love, Ckarke is perfect for him. Barrett tries to see thing from her perspective, but is absolutely willing to jerk her into his world if she's not seeing the big picture. This book is right up there with Eli as one of my favourite books by Jessica Gadziala. An absolutely stunning new addition to the Investigators series, and the epilogue is brilliant as always. I love getting to see into their lives, even 25 years later, any author that can look that far forward is going to be a favourite of mine for ever more.

Nailed it again!

As a high school teacher, I don’t read books like this that talk about “different” people, especially as a main character. I have loved Barrett since we first were introduced to him because of how quirkiness. I suspected then he was on the spectrum or on the borderline. Sometimes, people that seem on the spectrum are highly gifted which I thought was the case with Barrett. I have a son similar to Barrett but “they” (doctors) say he isn’t on the spectrum, just very smart and a bit odd.

Barrett was captured perfectly. Many emotions throughout with his senses and the way his close family and friends perceived him. He was “normal” but wasn’t “normal”. I absolutely love the way Clarke came in and accepted all there was to Barrett. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful and thought provoking book! I loved every word and page throughout. Now.... bring on Brock’s book!

If you have read the previous books in the series you know and love our quarky main character, Barrett. If you haven't read them I know you want to know more so start reading now and get caught up! Barrett has broke away from his brothers PI business to set up his own, and finally has everything just the way he likes it. Much like Barrett himself, his office is organized chaos and he doesn't want it any other way.

Barrett is hired by the much respected retired police detective to find his daughter. He not only finds Clarke, he finds THE ONE! Yay!

I am seriously much more excited about this then either of our characters!

The only thing I didn't like about this book is that every single one of Jessica's books just read way to fast. You can't help but fall in love and want more form this perfectly, imperfect, lovable couple who build the perfect HEA!
