He's a famous rock star having trouble finding his voice. She has a mouth that gets her in trouble. What happens when her mouth meets his lips and everything turns explosive.
Little did he know when he woke up this morning that a short redhead would destroy his perfect, Maserati driving world.
Those were the first words I said when I set eyes on the hot-as-sin rock star’s long, wide…car. It was beautiful. Hunter Six was gorgeous. He may be rich, famous, and one of the most talented singers of this century, but that didn’t mean he could get away with what he did to my mom.
Willa Jones just played you, bro.
That’s what my brother said to me after a beautiful woman ripped apart my life with a little piece of chalk. Let me preface that with a fact: The image she drew of a specific part of my body was a whole lot bigger in real life. Despite her ridiculously inaccurate depiction of me, she tricked me into taking my picture. My days of living in obscurity, taking a break from the rock-star life were numbered, destroyed by a fiery redhead.
When she finally threw the chalk to the ground, I watched a particular part of her body sashay away and knew I’d never get her out of my head.
Idol is the first novella in the hot, laugh-out-loud Price of Fame series. It is a standalone novella, enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy.
The story was short, and if it wasn’t mentioned I wouldn’t have realised that Hunter was a famous rock star. Willa had a sassiness and a boldness that almost saved the the day. I didn’t enjoy it much..
Pages: 286 My rating: 3 Read other books by this author in the future: yes MC: Willa, Hunter SC: Turner, Emmie, Niki
This was a short and entertaining read. Nice story some smut and a girl gang. But there was nothing that felt special.
Willa is in a bad mood after loosing her job. When she decides to draw with chalk around a Maserati parked in a spot for disabled persons she mets Hunter, a rock star. He immediately feels drawn to her and she to him. So the book is about the romance between Hunter and Willa, which ends in a happy end.
This is a sexy and funny rock star romance about the sweet and talented Hunter Six and the crazy and funny Willa Jones.
Hunter is a rockstar that, knowing grief and pain, he lost his inspiration and decided to live secludedly with his brother. But he didn't count on meeting a redhead barely journalist, aspiring singer who "misschalked" about his anatomy, tried to call the cops on him and totally made him fall for her.
For so many times I questioned Willa's sanity. She had no filter whatsoever, she had an almost pathological need to try stupid ideas she knew wouldn't work, and she also had all the loyal bones in her body. She was completely insane, but she was funny, sexy and had a good heart.
Hunter was also extremely loyal, even being a jerk sometimes, and he valued his brother (his only family left) with everything he had. And their brotherly inside jokes were awesome.
Together, they had so much chemistry and their banter came easily and naturally. I loved their interactions and the way their feelings grew. And the secondary characters have totally stolen my heart as well.
That being said, I can't wait to read more about Tucker.
I received a copy of this ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. When I started reading this I could not put it down till it was finished. I found my self laughing while reading this book! It starts out with Willa and her friends Nikki and Emmie at a cafe and she says something to them that has a reaction from them telling her not to do it. ( I won't say what because you just have to read it yourself). And the rest of the story is funny, sexy and you won't be disappointed ! I highly recommend this Book!!!!!
Idol, a enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy novella with a rockstar motif.
"Willa Jones just played you bro." My favourite line.
Audacious, brazen, sassy, and vivacious Willa Jones snarky remarks will have you amused. With a stormy beginning Hunter and Willa's witty banter & superfluous chemistry, these two transcend the limits. Supporting character's frolicsome & Tucker is my favourite character. Sorrowful moments splashdown the pages of the narrative. Swirling through unanswered questions that are cracked with a hea.
*** ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review ***
I adored reading this novella that made me laugh so many times I lost count. What would happen when you met a famous singer and try to get some revenge on his car?? Well that’s Willa and Hunter’s story.
Colorful characters, a group of best friends who stood for each other in every situation and crazy ex-girlfriend, put everything into the mixer and enjoy the crazy ride.
I appreciated the non filter tone, the wildness in air, which has reunited two people who didn’t start on the right foot.
Hunter had some issues to find inspiration again, hiding from the world, until he met the feisty and wildfire Willa. That sexy red haired woman who turned his life upside down when he wasn’t expecting it. As a celebrity, he was definitely not acting like one, living with his baby brother, taking care of his family no matter what. Just a good guy, sexy as hell and so damn charming.
I’ve been entertained until the end. From laughter to intercourse, there was definitely a thin line and the author managed to combine the awkward moments and between the steamy ones in such a great way, so natural and efficient.
I was enjoying this sexy and hilarious bite so much that it ended too quickly. I had so much fun reading about how Willa and Hunter fell in love. Can't wait to read the next one.
Whenever I need a pick me up kind of story, I know that Elizabeth Lynx will fit the bill, and her new series, which starts with ‘Idol’, most definitely surpasses expectations! It made me laugh, chuckle, guffaw, and there may or may not even have been a snort at one point, but I mean, when you’ve met Willa, I know you’ll understand! Willa Jones isn’t having the best run of luck at the moment in her life, and yet, she just takes it in her stride, not wanting to compromise any aspect of herself for anyone, though she might bend a bit for her two best friends and her beloved mother. Hunter Six is a rock god that has been MIA for the past year and half, and if it wasn’t for his brother, Tucker, he’d probably still be wallowing, and not dealing with things that he needed to deal with. A series of unfortunate, depending on how you look at them, events throw Willa and Hunter into the same sphere, and makes for excellent reading entertainment for us. Willa is outrageous as she is loving, and Hunter is hit with some serious whiplash, yet learns quite quickly that you either get on the ride, or you get left behind, and something about Willa very much makes him want to be on the ride. This story made me laugh, and did a wonderful job of reminding me that people need love, and deserve love, no matter their quirks, no matter their past, no matter their future. Reading about how Willa and Hunter grow, even as they deal with issues is wonderful, and Willa’s snark is next level goals! I adored this story, and know you will to. Elizabeth never fails at putting a smile on my face. The hints at Niki and Tucker’s story as well as a sly reference to a certain sheep farmer simply act as the icing atop the cake!
Ok I flipping loved Idol it was just one of the stories that I didn't see coming so wasn't expecting to laugh my self silly . Elizabeth Lynx just about had me falling for every one of her characters they each had their own brand of funny . Not only did I love the main characters but the secondary one just about stole my heart with how they were and I can't wait to read more by the author and of the Prince of Fame series . Really looking forward to the next book in the series if this book me die laugh I can just Imagine what the next one is going to do . This wasn't just a funny story it was steamy as hell the sex scenes were off the charts HOT . I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book **************************************** hero=9 heroine=9 secondary characters= 9 Chemistry=10 steam=6 romance=5 humor=5 darkness level=2 action=2 mystery=2 enjoyment=10 angst=3 story line=10 Story ending=9 character development=10 pacing= 10 cover=8 Blurb =10 Stars = 5 Is this part of a series =yes Can it be read as a standalone = yes would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author= yes
This is a fun read. Sort of an enemies to lovers. He didn't give the best first impression to her, but then it wasn't really his fault she came to the conclusions she did. Despite that initial sparing, he was instantly drawn to her. Unfortunately he didn't know a thing about her. Fortunately for him, she came looking for him. There is lots of humor, mostly in the form of (sometimes) playful banter between the characters. She tends to act without thinking things through, most often than not, getting herself into a jam. He is a rock star who is trying to go incognito in the smallish town. He doesn't come across as what you'd expect of a rock star. He isn't egotistical or cocky. He is a down to earth fellow trying to get over a heartache and find a little bit of peace. She has that quick wit and isn't afraid to say what she thinks. While it alternates between POVs, her character really carries the book. She may not be perfect, but she is sure fun to watch. :) Although it didn't get off on the right foot, there is that insta-lust between the characters. It's an easy read, and quick to read. It's on the shorter side and thus doesn't contain fluff or any unnecessary words. Just enough for character development and to lay the foundation of their relationship. There is a minor amount of sexual content.
Willa has just been fired from another job, and is out with her girls at a coffee shop. She sees the car that almost ran her mother down, and decides she needs to have some revenge. She uses chalk and draws all around the car which is owned by rockstar, Hunter. Hunter is attracted to Willa, and does not see the trap she sets for him. Willa shows up at Hunters house one day and sparks and chemistry between them is off the charts. Willa doesn't let Hunter's fame deter her from saying what she thinks. Hunter is drawn to Willa in ways he never thought possible after he lost his wife to cancer. Willa bring Hunter back to life. Willa can sing but Hunter has no idea until his agent and brother drag him out one night. OMG - this book was a quick read, but kept me turning the pages until I was done. Looking forward to reading the next one in the series.
If you are looking for a hot rocker read that will not only make you fan yourself while searching for new panties, make you smile, and laugh out loud then pick up Idol. You will fall in love with Hunter. He is sexy and you just want to eat him up. Then there is feisty Willa. Her antics will put a smile on your face and make you giggle out loud. I love how she pushes her way into Hunter's life. They have this chemistry that you can't help but fall in love with them. This is so full of heart even being and enemies to lovers rock star read. The banter will pull you in from the start and will not let go. I love the banter between Hunter and his brother Tucker. I really loved this one and I'm so excited for Tucker's book next. Elizabeth Lynx did it again with Idol and you are not going to want to miss a moment of this one. Go one-click this one because I was sucked in from the start.
Oh my! Hunter and Willa are perfect together. Hunter is a rock god and Willa is still trying to find her way. But when she finds the vehicle that nearly ran over her mom, it’s time to pay the driver back. Hunter is taking a break after a heartbreak that no one deserves. He’s trying to lay low and spend time with his brother in a new little town, that’s a little too perfect.
Idol is fun and had so many laugh out loud moments. The friends that Willa surrounds herself with are just what Willa needs in her life. Hunter and Tucker are brothers with their own tragedies, but they need each other and depend on each other as brothers should.
Pick up this latest novella from Elizabeth Lynx, you won’t be disappointed.
Willa is a snippy, sarcastic, hotheaded red head who thinks it’s her job to point out when someone does something she doesn’t like or she thinks is wrong. I must admit I didn’t like her very much in the first few chapters but fortunately the author redeemed her some and made me like her. Hunter is a handsome, hot rock star hiding out in Willa’s town trying to stay out of the limelight. Willa confronts Hunter for parking his sports car in a handicapped spot even though he’s with his wheelchair bound brother. Hunter is mesmerized by the hothead and Willa feels the same pull. The rest is their story. There is lots of hot steamy scenes and snark and love.
Willa is a red head full of fire and snark whose misdeeds lead to nothing but trouble with a capital T! She cannot hold a job because she cannot hold her snarky mouth! She is loveable and you will crack up at her antics! Hunter Six is a rock star who lost one of the most important people in his life over a year ago. He meets Willa with a chalk painting by his car and she blows his world away! The characters in the book are true-to-life and readers will LOVE them! The antics and steam between the two main characters will leave you wanting more! Throw in a brother, two best friends and a mother and you are in for an exciting journey! The love story of Willa and Hunter are one for the books…if you miss out on this series you will seriously regret it! I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
I loved this funny, flirty sexy story. I found this book to be well written with lots of laughs and fun. The characters were written in a way they just seemed to come to life and the storyline was written is a fashion that made me feel like I was I was right there watching and laughing as the events unfold. (FYI - I laughed from start to finish).
Emma is a sassy redheaded woman who always seems to be causing havoc, even when her two besties try to talk her down. She speaks her mind and has very little filter which is always causing her problems. Hunter is a rock star who has moved to this lazy town to try and get his muse back. He’s managed to stay off the grid until he runs into Emma. This is where the story takes off. From the moment these two meet, there are fireworks and pandemonium all around and so much fun to read.
Kudos to the author for giving me a lighthearted, funny read that had me smiling throughout. Just what I needed after a long hard day. 2 Thumbs Up and 4 stars for a most enjoyable read that I highly recommend grabbing up.. You won’t be sorry you did.
What a fun a quirky read! Willa is a breath of fresh air in that she has no filter when it comes to saying things that are on her mind. Her mouth writes checks the rest of her can't pay including the way she meets Hunter. She thinks she's found the car that ran her mother off the road and it's driver. She depicts what his privates would look like in a chalk drawing. Hunter is not amussed but something stirs in him that hasn't in quiet some time. Hunter is fighting his career demons. His muse is gone and he can't write more music without her. He is stuck. Willa sparks something in him that has been dormant. His desire starts to come back in mire ways than one. I enjoyed this book from Willa's foot pretty much always being in her mouth to Hunter's desire to move on. I am hoping that there will be another book about a really intriguing brother.
This story is crazy, hot, endearing, sad and funny. The characters are interesting and likeable with some quirks thrown in for good measure and the book whets your appetite for the rest of the series. I loved the friendships Willa had, the sibling connection between Hunter and Tucker and thought Willa's mother was fab. There's nothing better than finding the one who accepts you jut as you are ❤ I am really looking forward to the next in the series. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.
Rock star Hunter had been living quietly with his disabled brother after losing his fiancée to cancer…that is until Willa showed up with chalk in hand a drew a picture of his manhood in front of his car. Willa had a wicked streak of humor and wanted to give the rich guy with a Maserati a lesson on parking.
The humor that is between the brothers is hilarious along with the snarky Willa saying what’s ever on her mind. So if you love some humor, hot chemistry and rock stars you need to read this book.
This was an interesting read. I thought the storyline would take us on one direction, only to find it moving in yet another direction! The characters were good. However, I kept wanting to know more...While I felt the story could be a bit tighter, it was a pretty good read. If you like rock star romances, you’ll want to grab a copy of Idol today. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and found it very interesting.)
I received a copy of this ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review"
This book was hilarious. I loved willa's sass and snarky commentary. Hunter and Tucker were your typical brothers. Hunter and willa's relationship started out a bit rocky but eventually they gave ea h other a shot and it ended up being worth it. Overall it was a good read. Funny and witty. It did touch on some of the sad things that happen in life.
Boy do I love Willa’s snarky mouth! This book was funny, sexy and sweet. What’s starts out with Willa trying to get revenge for her mom with Tucker, turns out to be hot as hell between the sheets, a new career and a lifetime of love. Enemies to lovers with a HEA. *received an ARC for my honest review*
Willa means we’ll but she usually leaves a mess. She was voted the most likely to get fired from her job when she was in high school. He speech is typically unfiltered. Hunter is a famous rock star who has lost his muse. If you are looking for a quick read with sexy times and a couple of fun characters this is for you. Too short. The the characters didn’t really get a chance to fall in love.
Idol follows Hunter, a rockstar and Willa. This book is fairly short and very easy to read. The characters are likeable and you get to know them quickly. Hunter, has been out of the limelight for over a year, since his fiancé died and Willa is working but also looking after her mom after she has declined physically. Willa is strong minded, a would be singer, except for that fact that she suffers terrible stage fright if anyone she know is watching. The story follows the 2 getting together and has a HEA.
Fun, humorous and sexy Idol is a cute quick read that will have you laughing and swooning on nearly every page. I genuinely found myself having fun while I read this one. Hunter and Willa have more than just fantastic chemistry they also have a good bit of cute sweetness that goes hand in hand with it. Then you add in the fact that even the side characters are hilarious and it’s like you hit the jackpot. I have my fingers and toes crossed for Hunter’s brother to get a book!
Hunter is a rock star living in a small town trying to find his music after suffering a loss. Willa is a sassy red head who's mouth seems to always get her in trouble. Together, they make a sexy and funny pair. Their relationship is a little rocky at times but they push through.
This was a quick read with insta-lust and lots of steaminess. Great main characters and the side characters are just as good. Funny moments and very steamy scenes make the story complete.
I was laughing out loud the whole time I was reading this book!! Hunter and Willa's story is a feel good story. Hunter is a rock star who is hiding in a small town when he meets the sassy redhead Willa. Their story is cute, fun and very entertaining to read. I honestly volunteered to review this story.
Very fun read! Insta connection, lots of heat. Hunter is a rock star that has been out of the limelight since the death of his fiancee, really he's had a lot of loss of his loved ones and has focused on the care of his brother. As hot headed spit fire Willa tends to jump head first into a situation without regard fir the out come. That quick time line of this story and the falling into perfect place gives this a insta love feel, but story line isn't without conflict to make story interesting.
This is my first book by this author and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us. I love a good rom com book and this book definitely did it for me. It was short, funny, sweet but steamy with a splash of flirty. I really enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed this book, loved the characters and can’t wait for the next books 😉 this was funny, sexy and had everything to leave you with a smile on your face 😁
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
