The Cambridge Women's Pornography Cooperative (CWPC) was created by women, for women, in 2005 to redefine the way we look at pornography. Our mission is to recover the term "pornography" from the gold-chained, hairy-chested, leisure-suit-wearing, mouth-breathing knuckleheads, and reclaim it for the rest of us. CWPC members have opted to keep their membership roster unpublished, out of concern that our colleagues in academia, medicine, and the media may still have underdeveloped senses of humor.

I haven't read this yet, but the cover illustration already tells me this is just a little joke. To be quite honest, if we straight women did per occasion feel like checking out some eye-candy and ogling any sexy hot hunks, we have to head straight over to the gay male shelves... there just truly doesn't seem to be anything on the market for straight females.

I'm pretty sure it's just as healthy for females to enjoy looking at attractive male bodies as it apparently is for males looking at females' bodies... but cultural conditioning or whatever it is, wags its little finger at females and tells us that we're above looking. Well, why should we be? Why can one not appreciate the human body for the beautiful piece of art it can be? I've often looked at (ok then, bought) pin-up calenders intended for gay males, and thought the guys looked pretty hunky. Some look sexy and smouldering, some have a hint of vulnerability, some are sculpted so finely you would think a Michelangelo molded them, and it's good to look at, like any natural scene or artistic arrangement.

I think what I am trying to rally for here, is not PORN as in people humping one another, but I want to have calenders of semi-naked male pinups ostensibly aimed towards women! One that is tastefully enough done that I can keep it around without feeling embarrassed, but that shows some male skin, hair, muscle and teeth. And eyes! Crinkly, smiling eyes - I love those. Yeah, yeah, I realize that most of the models will probably be ones walking right across the passage from the gay studio, but I don't care! I only want to look at a beautiful face and body now and then, just like any man does too...

..and no, I don't mean in poses fully clothed busy doing housework... whoever got the idea that housework is sexy? I'd like one draped over a motorbike, one on the beach, on on the rocks, one lying stretched on a beach chair with palms waving in the background, an exotic cocktail in his hand, sweat beading lightly on his naked chest...and some chests must be hairy as well as some nice clean-cut ones; from smoky smouldering dark male beauts to icy Nordic blonde ones...

sigh...

I guess misdirected prudishness will forever rule and we'll never get to see a pinup calender for girls. :(

PS. Some men who have read this said I must try and encourage more women to look at images of attractive hunks since that might make women generally less uptight about males looking at pics of attractive females.

I'm trying, guys, I'm trying, but the women don't seem to be biting. Though I have a female friend from another website and I had some female friends at work who used to enjoy looking at hunky pics with me. (Well, we didn't always have the same taste, but we all enjoyed looking!) So I know I'm not alone! Perhaps just more vocal than most. ;)

This is basically a one joke book - pictures of pretty men doing housework with captions proclaiming words that women long for but men seldom utter like "God, that's SO interesting. Tell me more." and "Have another piece of cake. I don't like you looking so thin."


I've never heard a man say this.

It gets old pretty quickly, but this might be a cute gift to pass around a bachelorette party (while you're waiting for the fireman stripper to arrive.)



I have to admit to laughing out loud three times at pictures concerning "toilet" humor, the area of the house my husband will never, EVER clean.


This has never happened. Though my hubby can work on the car's brakes, install all manner of electronic equipment and fix the plumbing, he claims not to be able to figure out the intricacies of the toilet paper holder.


And this one happens only in my dreams!

Don't miss the profiles of the models at the back of the book. Like the platitudes, these are also too good to be true. One gentleman is a "retired dot-com company founder" who has set up "the world's first 'luxury orphanage.'" His hobby? Why, "giving massages" of course!

Yep. Only in my dreams . . .

-vacuuming
-asking for directions

Come on. It's all a bunch of played out sexist stereotypical shit that was old a decade ago. And for what it's worth, the pictures are not all that great and the models are average at best. At least make it artsy and give me some great eye candy. geez.

The only thing that got a bemused chuckle out of me was the 3 pages dedicated to foreplay. The first page: Foreplay 10:15pm. Next page: Foreplay 10:50 pm. Next page: Foreplay 1:30 am.

har har har.

I blame my husband for not being stereotypical. He does dishes, changed the baby's diapers.. and foreplay? Well, that's none of your bizznazz.

A friend gave me this book and told me that lots of women wish their boyfriend/husband would read it as a 'funny' way to look at their behavior. She also told me if you did just three things the book pokes 'fun' at you would make your girlfriend/wife very happy. Just saying - it is a fun look at what we men often miss.

Received this as a birthday gift this month. Laughing, but also sad, because it’s ironic and true. What many women want, not what they get. I enjoyed it though. Great pictures, handsome men and maybe it may help the less knowledgeable about the female half of the species learn a tad and implement that knowledge. 5, here’s to hoping, stars!

This is a cute little book, please do NOT let the title throw you off in the slightest! IT is only meant as a tongue in cheeky reference type humor like Ryan Gosling saying Girl I Love It When You Knit Me Those Mitts Can I Watch While I Make You Dinner...! Each page has a full color glossy of a handsome bachelor with a great job and great pecs, saying something to you, girl, that you know you like! A few of MY faves...: (wearing dish gloves and biceps...) I like to get these things done before I' m asked. ( YES!!) ( Topless...!) I love a clean house. Here, you pick the movie. Is that the baby? I'll go get her. ( My fave...) Want to snuggle?
When I bought this second hand we were trying to figure out if it was a fiction or a non fiction book priced item. I said Hey, any of these things said are TRUE TRUE TRUE so it's NON FICTION and I will gladly pay the price, haha!!! I am giving this to a girlfriend for Christmas as part of a sustainable recyclable holiday. It get two enthusiastic thumbs up from the Fae! A very sweet booklet sized fun bit of fluff put out by the Cambridge Women's Pornography Cooperative, edged in flowers and a border in hot pink, my kind of aesthetic!🐾🎄

Hilarious! I received this as a wedding gift from my brother-in-law's girlfriend. A group of girls sat around and laughed at this book for 15 minutes solid!

My personal favorite is the first "model" in the book...he's a handsome man looking very intently into your eyes and saying, "God that's SO interesting. Tell me more."

Concise examples of how to really please a woman. Although some men may not have "adequate equipment" for all examples; most men will find something to leave any woman sighing with pleasure. For women, the book gives us plenty to fantasize about; what woman would'nt appreciate a man who could... no, no I can't go there right now. You'll just have to read the book yourself.

This is NOT what you think! The premise is what turns women on. And what is that? A picture of a neatly dressed, clean-shaved husband holding a bouquet of flowers, saying, "Do I need a reason to buy you flowers?" It's a pretty funny picture book, that takes all of 5 minutes to read. I recommend it. There's also one called, "Porn for New Moms." Haha... Don't judge me. :)

This book can hardly be considered pornography in its usual sense. Rather, it is a collection of full color photographs of attractive men doing such things as vacuuming, ironing, and doing laundry, accompanied by captions such as, "I always want to be sure we have chocolate in the house" and "I love a clean house!" Perhaps this is porn for women the way it was meant to be! :)

Pretty stereotypical as far as "this is what women REALLY WANT".

More like: These are exaggerated versions of things that men should be doing anyway, or these are things women hear from their gay bestie instead.

Heck, I know more than a few women who would be pissed to miss the NFL playoffs.

Needs actual porn/erotica. lol. Also most of the models weren't all that attractive.

But two of the older women in the house got a kick out of it, and not like I paid anything for it since it was just on the shelf here at the beach house.

I loved it. It's funny but true. The men are very handsome and scantily clad. And doing all sorts of things that turn me on, such as paying attention and cleaning the house.
More of a PG than an R or an X. But sexy. A real turn on.
