Build up and let down
I like the idea, and the basic world building, but the relationships fell flat. She knew what she was and still went into the center of the horde, without any fear, she’s more worried about getting her parents a fancy car with her new job than basic improvements, and then Bam! relationship. Then we have the build up for sex and...it’s over. And why bother even mentioning the males have a ‘knot’ when it serves no purpose? It and the sex toys all came across as superfluous, not erotic. As did the sex scenes, actually. I read to the end, hoping it would get better. It didn’t.
I like the idea, and the basic world building, but the relationships fell flat. These aliens are possessive and think they should be in charge of women/omegas..... thankfully these women have a little back bone. These books aren't literary works if art but they sure are entertaining . Her choosing to nest outside the safety of the stronghold was CLEARLY just so the bad guy plot could progress because it made no sense. Thx way these aliens talk about omega bodies omllllll crude as all get out

Anna is a college graduate who's having difficulty finding a job, she's stunned at the generous financial package thar xomes with her job as a PA and is eager to begin. Working in such close proximity to a powerful Alpha could however prove deadly because unknown to the Regha males,human Omegas have found a way to disguise their scent.

To me this one flowed much better than previous books, the plot was interesting and the mcs likeable. Hunger was the usual arrogant Regha Alpha but Anna was a good match for him. Of course she melted at his scent and his purr because that's what Omegas do but she managed the delicate balance between submission and having a backbone beautifully
We get the usual violence as well as FaceTime with previous characters and a look at future characters some of whom are the kids of the Originals which I love.
All in all this series isn't perfect but it sure is entertaining

I think by now everyone knows I am a huge, huge Milana Jacks fan. I’m talking, if she wrote about SciFi trash bags, I would totally one-click that. Huge fan, probably dub me as a super fan...and yeah, she knows. I’m sure it’s all my subtlety...like a Mack truck.
This takes place years into the future after Tayseer conquers our world, after we take one of his people, a female Alpha. This is Tayseer’s son, Raven aka Hunger’s book. And let me tell you, he did not disappoint, just like his dad. Whew, he is just as intense, doesn’t hesitate or back down...from anything. Basically an Alpha of the Alpha’s...I know, right. Anna is his new personal assistant, who happens to be an unregistered Omega, and since Raven is like his dad, he wants to get to the bottom of this mystery. To say that Anna is attracted to him is a complete understatement, “Do not stare, lick or hump him” 🤣. Yeah, so she is really attracted to him, and of course he knows it. He’s also attracted to her and knows she could be his Omega.
Great storyline, and as always I can’t wait to read the next book, like Can. Not. Wait. *grabby hands*. As always we get a great OTT alpha, this one is a virgin...you’re welcome and great OTT naughty humor. These two were hot af, naughty af, funny af...and probably every other kind af you could read. 2 & 1/2 stars generously rounded up.
I'm not sure if this is split from another series, I didn't see any warning about it in the blurb. I felt a bit lost at times, like I was supposed to know something from a previous book, series, or prequel. If I had enjoyed this enough I would have gone & looked for the answer to that question. I had a few moments that I thought about quitting the book, but ended up hanging in there. The beginning flowed very slowly. Then suddenly it sped up & was done. There were some inconsistencies in the plot, that detracted from the story. The main characters were totally flat. I never really understood why they fell for each other. There was only chemistry between them, & I'm not sure if it wasn't just the sex drive from her heat or whatever that even caused that chemistry. I felt no more connection between them, than I felt for the characters themselves. The ending felt rushed & too convenient, though I was glad it was finished so I could move on to another book. Needless to say, I won't be continuing on with this series.

My favourite of the Hordesmen!
This was another re-read, and that is simply because I feel I had to catch up with my Horde Kids (hehe) since the 5th book has been released.
It's been a while, and I feel I forget stuff if I leave it too long.
This is the first book in the Hordesmen seties, and is about 20 some years after the first book of the Alpha Horde series.
Here our main Alpha is none other than Prince Raven, son of our awesome
Raven is very much like his dad, and this book was a great read. It's also introduced a new "badguy" and a new problem for our Rahkan warriors.
It's also nice to see cameos from the other kids, though Raven is in fact the youngest of them all so calling them kids is maybe wrong as they are fully adult Alpha Males. :P
These also have their own books in this series, so keep reading!

DNF at 26%.
I couldn't remeber why I did not read more books than just Alpha Breeds, Alpha Bonds, Savage in the Touch and Blind Beast Mate but now I know. Especially with the Horde series. I felt like I wasn't understanding English correctly or had dementia while reading how the main characters talked to each other. I was constantly confused why something was happening or why the FMC just went with it. The conversations were just comment after comment but there was no real conversation?
All of the Alpha books were just a really weird experience for me.

Going to say right now that I'm already on book 6 of this series and it has grabbed me. the Regha Alphas are on earth and taking over and trying to keep peace and bring humans into the fold. The alphas are badass and sometimes harsh but oh so loving to their omegas when they find them. Keep reading this series, you'll love it.

Praise be to the Serpent 🐍, Green is back and has conquered the world! Old familiar, beloved behaviour in a new environment and yet so different tingling, refreshingly new!
As fascinating as dark Addison Canes Omegaver's worlds are, so amusing, airy and light are Milana Jackson's. I love them both! ♥️♥️
Circumstances force Anna's seeing eye to enter a situation where she knows she can only lose, but giving up and despair is not part of her character traits. Chin up and bite through! Sufficiently impudent, stubborn and determined with a big heart and open to what comes and takes it with humor:
"I'm hungry, and hunger makes me grumpy." Great!
And Raven is all horde, concentrated committed to the task taken over, shaped by his environment and family and so serious, he does not seem committed to fun.
Exactly this brings us to the best funny situations, in places where I would not have expected amusement. It starts with a light LOL 😆 and turns into a loud ROFL 🤣.
His hobby of analyzing the English language and using some words - I read English as a foreign language and he speaks to me from the soul:
"The English language fascinated me. With so many inconstancies, I wonder how the understand each other at all." I just say "nicknaming things" in connection with "pussy" and "period" (position 1474-1477) Have fun!
I had fun and so much of it, incredible, it's over again! 😢 Greedy and quickly read - my mistake! 🥴

I absolutely LOVED this one!
Anna and Raven’s book is the perfect start to this new series! Such a fun read. I LOLd so many times I woke hubs. Talk about miscommunication between the species. Milana definitely writes my favourite kind of alien kinky couplings.

I absolutely loved this book. Anna and Hunger were a great couple. The other characters were interesting too, like Tamika and Christy. I loved the humor and sass as well as the surrounding story. I can't wait fornthem to discover more Omegas and whoever isbthe mastermind behind the suppression drugs. Heat level was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I would definitely recommend for anyone who likes, sass, action and hot alien males.

As an advice, I will recommend reading this book after reading the “Alpha Horde” series, as this book is the continuation of what happened after Tayseer (Alpha Horde #4)

I'm not a complete jerk
So here's the thing. These omega alien universe books - I either think they're such good times because you have two usually different species who know nothing about one another yet through misunderstanding and arguments and sauciness, they get to an understanding and some really good sexy times. Or, you have the other type and that is the ones that are just kind of awkward and juvenile and almost silly. That is what this was for me.
You had your typical omega not really understanding her body and fighting against it. Totally good with that. And you have your bull headed alpha male that doesn't understand why the omega wants to do more than breed. Totally on board with that too. But there was so little build in this. And I'm a huge fan of a dirty talker but this was like frat guy speak. It was almost too crass. I know that's a weird thing to say but the images in my head when Raven was speaking were not of an alpha but of a jock trying to make a bet with his friends over who could score the virgin first.
These are just my thoughts. Obviously I'm in the minority. I just think you can find better alpha-omega books or even alpha-omega alien books.

I would say 2.5 but I'm rounding down.
She was weak. Talked a good game in the beginning but had zero conviction. She didn't have the biological excuse as much as the omegas in the other books (since she took the pill) so stick up for your damn self, sheesh. This is my main problem with the book. Also, she seemed superficial, which gave more reason for the pushover bit. Mentioned numerous times wanting the job to live the cushy life, basically.
She didn't give him pushback on anything really. Just went with the ridiculous flow.
Did she even care about her family? She didn't seem to defend them much. Bizarre.
Their dialog was often kind of stilted and weird. One example: she finally says "you don't understand me" and I'm thinking we're going to get somewhere, he'll dig deeper into her psyche. But no. His response: something about the Pacific being too still.

In a world conquered by humans, things have seriously changed on Earth. The ruler, Hunger is benevolent to a point, but not to be trifled with. An infraction leads to impending death. All this matters little to Anna who needs the money she'll make at a job as his assistant. An Omega, she's forced to hide her traits with a pill or risk being taken by the horde that rules over humans . The only females able to procreate with the alien species, they're a treasured and valuable commodity. Her horror is very real when he makes it clear, the pills have hidden nothing and he's going to claim her as his own.
Her resistance amuses Hunger, who loves the chase and is eager to see if she's the one Omega who'll be able to become his queen. Sprinkled with humor, betrayal and a unique cast system, this was an interesting read with sizzling scenes, and a dominate male.

There was just nothing interesting.
The story was boring.
Don’t get me wrong, this book had it all, a naive but ambitious female character, a single minded alpha character and together they face family conflicts, an uprising, betrayals, clashing socio-cultural inter species conflicts, and so much more.
Weren’t it for the teeny tiny single fact that the female protagonist just went along with everything.
And to top it, the characters were unlikable.
What a disappointment.

Too much crap going on that's totally unexplained and makes no sense. I know some women get off on all that alpha male crap, but I'm not 1 of them. I picked it up because I thought the storyline might outweigh the crap. Was wrong.

What the hell was this shit?!
Let me take a deep breath and try to organize my thoughts before I try to explain all that was wrong with this book.
So. Let's start with writing. It may not be the worst I have ever encountered, but it is far from even mediocre quality. Even if in the beginning it was somewhat decent, it devolved the father in the story we get.
The idea. Oh God,I don't even know if I can recount everything that is wrong. It was disturbing on so many fronts,that I seriously considered to drop reading it. I did brave on,hoping stupidly that it will get better, but surprise,surprise it didn't. Should have stopped, it wasn't worth suffering through. I am just stubborn like that,wanting to get the full picture before dishing out my rating. I tried to be fair,yet feel so wronged by author with this micro nightmare.
So here goes my list of things that disturbed me most,hopefully I won't forget important bits.
* from very beginning heroines female bits started flapping and fluttering and did so on nearly every f...king page!
* females are categorized in three types-Alpha,Beta and Omega depending on biology. Omega are the ones that can't stop gushing body fluids. Like all the time,non stop,constant flow. I have no idea what the hell was wrong with their biology.
* Omegas are marked, registered and used as a cattle for breeding. Their minds and personalities are ignored,because they are good for one and one thing only-wombs.
* rape is portrayed as something to be cherished and celebrated. In my dumb mind rape under influence be it drugs,chemicals, pheromones forced upon person is still a rape. Not here though. Here rape under influence is the ultimate goal and something to wish for. And all those who oppose this notion are dumb and evil. After all,what can be more amazing!
*hero is mass murderer, slavery,tyrant and overall asshole, but that's ok,because(can you guess?) he is sexy. He don't have to be redeemed. He can proceed to sexual assault, rape,abuse and is supposed to make readers heart flutter like our heroines woman parts.
* heroine is supposedly a smart woman. Supposedly because reader is told about her degrees, told she is smart. Told. Yet,not even one coherent or intelligent sentence pass her lips and any smart or intelligent thoughts avoid her mind like a plague. But ,hey,what do I know,maybe it is possible to be book smart while acting and thinking like idiot all the times.
* blood is sexy. Especially if it is fresh blood from person you just killed. Just yummy,who don't get aroused by that,huh?
I probably forgot 101 more things that annoyed me greatly or I found plain dumb. Feel free to discover them yourself.
I will not read the next book and am thinking strongly about putting author on my list of authors to avoid at all cost. I never,ever want to read anything like this again.
Excuse me,now I have to go and bleach my eyeballs to remove any trace of this garbage from them.

I am just stubborn like that,wanting to get the full picture before dishing out my rating. I tried to be fair,yet feel so wronged by author with this micro nightmare.
So here goes my list of things that disturbed me most,hopefully I won't forget important bits.
* from very beginning heroines female bits started flapping and fluttering and did so on nearly every f...king page!
* females are categorized in three types-Alpha,Beta and Omega depending on biology. Omega are the ones that can't stop gushing body fluids. Like all the time,non stop,constant flow. I have no idea what the hell was wrong with their biology.
* Omegas are marked, registered and used as a cattle for breeding. Their minds and personalities are ignored,because they are good for one and one thing only-wombs.
* rape is portrayed as something to be cherished and celebrated. In my dumb mind rape under influence be it drugs,chemicals, pheromones forced upon person is still a rape. Not here though. Here rape under influence is the ultimate goal and something to wish for. And all those who oppose this notion are dumb and evil. After all,what can be more amazing!
*hero is mass murderer, slavery,tyrant and overall asshole, but that's ok,because(can you guess?) he is sexy. He don't have to be redeemed. He can proceed to sexual assault, rape,abuse and is supposed to make readers heart flutter like our heroines woman parts.
* heroine is supposedly a smart woman. Supposedly because reader is told about her degrees, told she is smart. Told. Yet,not even one coherent or intelligent sentence pass her lips and any smart or intelligent thoughts avoid her mind like a plague. But ,hey,what do I know,maybe it is possible to be book smart while acting and thinking like idiot all the times.
* blood is sexy. Especially if it is fresh blood from person you just killed. Just yummy,who don't get aroused by that,huh?
I probably forgot 101 more things that annoyed me greatly or I found plain dumb. Feel free to discover them yourself.
I will not read the next book and am thinking strongly about putting author on my list of authors to avoid at all cost. I never,ever want to read anything like this again.
Excuse me,now I have to go and bleach my eyeballs to remove any trace of this garbage from them.

This was my first time reading an Alpha/Beta/Omega romance. I mean, I've read romances where the hero thinks of himself as an Alpha, but this was the first one I've read where there were biological traits based on what the person's designation was. I tend to enjoy "fated mates" stories so I thought I would enjoy this, but I had mixed feelings about it.
On the plus side, the author created an intriguing world and I am willing to visit it again to see if my reservations with the book were a one-off.

What can I say?
This author had an editor. "Never end a sentence with a preposition."
Wow.
I'm in love. With the editing process, that is. With very few exceptions, I was not able to find much to annoy me except... that damned "past". Where the hell does a person use the term "passed" now? Did it get an official retirement party with the gold watch?...

I've been reading a lot of limp novels lately, so I was surprised to find this one with teeth. For the first time, I've found someone who can world-build with the best of them. I jumped into this universe, worried that I'd be dizzy with my ignorance, only to fully understand a lot of what has been going on without it sounding like a history lesson. You can bet I'll be reading the rest of this universe because it is FASCINATING!! It has guts! It bleeds guts, but that's another story.
I appreciate the ton of research done because you can certainly see it. It isn't a carbon copy of the rest of the omega stuff I've read lately. I read this for actual enjoyment, not necessarily with a red pen in hand. I'm not going to get into the topic in detail. Other reviews will do that. I will tell you that there are triggers you need to be aware of. If you hate the idea of the heroine being psychologically manipulated by an alpha, don't read it. Find some other fluff that's out there. This is hardcore dark matter which I enjoyed immensely.
Get the book. The the damn series. Why not just the rest of the books in this universe. I'll be rereading them for a while... maybe even think of a few novels in my own head to amuse me. I can be such a Mary Sue when the right topic comes around.
