I guess this book is okay and gives you a decent introduction if you’ve never designed, built and deployed a RESTful API before, otherwise I would say it’s pretty basic and you won’t get too much out of it.

The books is extremely extense for the value provided.

It goes from pushing code to git to drawing simple diagrams and creating accounts on the tools used in the book. That is definitely not the content you would expect for a work marked as "expert" level on the pragprog website.

If you have already worked building apis, take a look on the Spotify's api to see what is a great example. It is extremely intuitive, very well designed. Learn about swagger and how to version apis in a deeper perspective
