Just what the title says - a beginners guide. Don't expect to gain a solid grasp of Jungian analysis from this book. It's a book for those who are curious because they didn't pay attention in their college psych classes and think they might want to learn more about this offshoot of Freudian theory. Either your interest in Jung will be piqued or you'll forget about him (again) and go on to more graspable psych theories. Jung has a lot to say about Eastern religions and world views, so from that perspective, we might learn a considerable bit from what he has to say, even if the psychological aspect of his theories don't seem to hold much water for you.
