Dar viena smagi istorija, kurios laukiau pasirodant knygynų lentynose. Apie ryžtingą kačiuką, kuris dėl savo šeimininkės pasiryžęs įveikti visas baimes ir rizikuoti. The Missing Kitten is cute and endearing, but very similar to Misty the Abandoned Kitten, which makes it less interesting.

Moving to a new place and a new school can be challenging, and Suzanne wishes that she found it as easy to make new friends as her older brother Jackson. Still, when her parents allow her to adopt a beautiful orange cat that she names Boots, she feels a little bit better about the move to the country. The cat and girl bond quickly, and Boots somehow manages to follow Suzanne and Jackson to school more than once. Even though their father is supposed to be keeping an eye on Boots, the kitten is quite determined. Boots eases the transition to a new place for Suzanne and also helps her connect to a new friend named Izzie, but he also gets himself into a lot of trouble and causes a great deal of anguish when he goes missing one day. The illustrations and text will certainly make readers worry about the fate of this independent, almost unstoppable kitten. Although I can't imagine an animal becoming that attached to a caregiver that quickly, I still enjoyed this sweet story about a cat that helps its new human companion in surprising ways.
