After meeting all three lion kings, Sanura has the hard task of aligning them all to her cause. This book continues on the storyline from book one and Sandra spends much time traveling to the different tribes. I’d like to see more of the kings together because as of now it’s more like she’s building individual relationships when what they need is to all unite as one. Slowly I think she’s getting on the bandwagon, asking questions outside the norm and realizing marrying her brother just because it is their way, may not actually be what’s best for her people. Honestly at this point I just need this evil sorceress to go. The way she pretends to care about the plight of others yet kills innocents is a joke. This one ends with more of a cliffy but again it’s so quick I’m sure I can finish this trilogy in a day.

Cliffhanger reverse-harem-wannbe

Why do writers do this? Take a great paranormal historical plot, set it in an exotic locale (Africa, from Alexandria to Zululand), involve lion shifters, the ancient Egyptian pantheon, a mysterious evil sorceress, and a deposed Queen of Egypt who wants to recover her throne, and then split the story into separate books that don't stand alone? This is book 2 of a "trilogy" which dumps the reader into the middle of the tale without the synopsis of book 1 or any background to provide context, and then dumps them off an abrupt cliffhanger ending. There's no 'reverse harem' - but the heroine sleeps with two of the lion shifters, even though she's intent on returning to Egypt to marry her mentally deficient brother, the Pharaoh. (I know, but they actually did that in ancient Egypt, so don't blame the writer for that one.) Other than that, she seems to be intelligent, intuitive, a strategic thinker, and she wields a mean kopesh (bladed weapon). I like her, I like the plot, I like the setting, and the writing is clear and very readable. I don't like that this is NOT a complete book, but the middle fragment of a story that's been chopped arbitrarily into thirds. For Pete's sake, if you're gonna publish a book, publish the WHOLE book - beginning, middle, and ending. Successful authors don't abuse their readers. I'd be mad AF if I'd paid for this, but I was given an ARC (thanks, Booksprout), so I didn't waste anything but my time.

After enjoying the first book of this series, I was looking forward to reading this second one. Knowing that this instalment would involve other African tribes, I was interested to see if the authors had done as much research to ensure authenticity as they had with the Egyptian court seen in the first book. I was not disappointed! And with excellent blending of worlds (real and supernatural/paranormal) throughout, this was a much better book for me. I did feel the romance was a little stilted and weird at times - there were scenes where one minute she was saying no to someone as she felt loyalty to another person, yet a few minutes later she was having sex with the first person!! - but it wasn't enough to curtail my enjoyment of the book overall. I'd definitely recommend this book (and series!) to lovers of paranormal romance, and after such a thrilling cliffhanger, I'm looking forward to book 3!
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions

Adding to the mystery and magic of the series

Sanura, now the displaced queen, continues her adventure from where book one left off. Having secured an alliance with Zakai, one of the three lions kings of Africa, she travels to visit the other two lion kings in their home lands. As the story progresses tragedy again follows her, her heart is torn, and tough decisions will need to be made. Leigh Anderson and Alice Wilde continue to bring magic to this paranormal reverse harem series. The fact that it is set in ancient Egypt only adds to the mystery. I am looking forward to seeing what they do next.

Sanura continues her quest to form alliances with the 3 lion kings in her attempt to retake Egypt from the clutches of Keket. Not easy when the 3 don't like or trust each other. The journeys and negotiations are fraught with danger. Will she succeed? Read this amazing book and find out. I found my heart racing, laughter falling from my lips and there may have been a few tears at times. This series just keeps getting better and better. The world building is incredible. The characters grabbed me and wouldn't let me go. I have lost sleep over these books because I couldn't put them down. I loved this book even more than the first.

Queen Sanura finally sees King Oringo to tell him about the destruction that the sorceress KeKet has cause on King Zakai people, but he doesn't believe it will happen to him and his people until it does. So now he will work with Sanura to get Egypt back. Then she goes to see King Saleem and has same problem. She did have sex with King Zakai and then later with King Oringo and then she has sex with King Saleem. So now all three Lion King will help her. She is in love with all three Lion Kings too and they love her. Then she returns back to King Oringo and he's not there, but King Baka Mara of the Zulu people is. So much action in these stories and I can't wait to read the next one.

After reading the first book, I can only say that the second doesn’t disappoint. With all the introductions out of the way, the action really kicks up a notch. The world that Anderson builds is so captivating, it just draws you and never lets you go. You’re on the edge of your seat wondering how things will go and just how much trouble and hardship Sanura will have to endure to reach her goal. But if she does...well, you have to read to find out. Totally worth the time. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

Sanura's story continues in The Price of Egypt. This one is more solid than book one in my opiniom. I could Connect with Sanurawhole reading here.
This one is more about getting to know other two lion Kinga and finding The way to make them join The Alliance. Seems Easy right? Well lets się about it... no... not Easy... especially when nad scoreress is set on finding you.
Join Sanura in this really intriguing book 2 in The Series where Ancient Egypt meets Reverse Harem (still not established)Her There will be HOT moments and it news with a cliffhanger!

Love where this story is going!
Traveling across vast distances in search of her alliance, never surrendering and taking on everything thrown her way!
So happy we get to see more into the past dynamics of our current lion kings and why the alliance is not falling into place so easily. The different personalities each king possesses is great and I hope they don’t lose it.
Great battle scenes and unique worlds built around each king’s kingdom.

This is book 2 of the Shifters of Africa and it’s a great read and I enjoyed it immensely. In the 1st book Sanrua was blamed for the Pharaoh’s death so she ran all the way to Africa to try and get an army together so she can go back to Egypt to take her throne. Now Sanrua is in Africa she meets three lion shifter kings who she needs to amass an army with but the three shifters can’t stand each other. Sanrua has her work cut out for her with these three lion shifters to get them to join her. This is a great read and I recommend this book.

This sequel is unquestionably better than the first book. The plot thickens as Sanura tries to unite the Lion Kings. You get to know the other two Kings, Oringo and Saleem, more and they have a very interesting history. It was a little steamier than the first, the story itself was what made the sequel stronger. It does end in a cliffhanger, but hopefully, the third (possibly the final) installment will answer all questions.

In this second book, things are definitely picking up, both in terms of steamy romance and in the overall plot action. I enjoyed reading about Sanura and the lion kings. After the cliffhanger ending, I really hope that the next book is available soon.

Loved the story and loved the characters. Sanura set off to get help from two more lion kings with their armies. There is only 3 lion kings and none of them like each other, Sanura finds a sexual
connection with each one of them.

Captivating Continuation!
Sanura shows great strength and courage as she continues her quest to reunite the 3 Lion Kings to fight the evil sorceress Keket. Great backstory on the Lion Kings as this fast paced drama heats up with more fighting and steamy romance. Cliffhanger ending. Enjoy!

I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.

Read it really fast. Sanura is now on the hunt for help from the lion kings, to aid her winning back Egypt from Keket. However, Keket plays dirty and sends lots of mind-controlled creatures to ruin Sanuras efforts to get help. And the lion kings are not exactly interested in helping her either. They are much more interested in marriage, or smooching up to her.

Loved this book. Strong, intelligent heroine who doesn't fall into the typical RH trap of being a 24/7 smartass. Also thrilled by Black representation. I don't generally go for shifters but this series is different for me. Easy five stars
