Maya never expected to get kissed when she walked out in her ratty old hoodie (and nothing else) to get the mail. But when a shirtless god jogs down your street, grabs your face, and kisses you… you kiss that man back!
Cooper is on a mission to find the love of his life, and he’s gotten desperate. Over thirty years old with more money than he could spend in his lifetime, he’s ready to spoil and love his soul mate. After hiring the beautiful woman he kissed on the street as his realtor, he’s convinced that fate has led him to her.
Maya doesn’t buy into fate and definitely doesn’t want something serious. She’s not ready to become one of her baggy-eyed friends who all have two or more kids and one or less husband. But when Cooper challenges her to a week of living the married life, Maya dives in headfirst thinking she’s sure to prove that singlehood is really the way to go, even if she does end up falling head over heels.
CASSIE MAE is the author of a few hundred—okay, maybe not that many—books, some of which became popular for their quirky titles, characters, and stories. She likes writing about nerds, geeks, the awkward, the fluffy, the short, the shy, the loud, the fun.
Since publishing her bestselling debut, Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend, she’s signed several Romance titles with Random House Loveswept, and founded CookieLynn Publishing Services. She is represented by Sharon Pelletier at Dystel & Goderich Literary Management.
Along with writing, Cassie likes to binge-watch Once Upon a Time and The Flash. She can quote Harry Potter lines quick as a whip. And she likes kissing her hubby, but only if his facial hair is trimmed. She also likes cheesecake to a very obsessive degree.

I wasn't overly keen on the way the book was written it seemed to jump around a lot without a flowing route.....
For an example of what i mean when watching a film or tv series... one scene the characters are baking cookies then it skips forward a few days or so... It works in TV not so much in books without an explanation at least....
Still it wasn't a bad read im pulling a 2.5... Probs wont read by this author again.... the writing style not for me.
It's been so long since I've read a Cassie Mae book, I almost forgot why she is one of my favorite authors. But then this ARC showed up in my inbox, to remind me. As soon as I started reading, the rest of the world disappeared. Okay, it didn't disappear, but it definitely got neglected. ALL DAY. I devoured this book. And it was glorious. Or well, I thought it was glorious. The hubby ate ramen by himself, so he probably doesn't love this book quite as much as me, but that's on him for not reading it, right?
I super connected with Maya, and extra loved that she was a bigger woman. And Cooper, with all his awkward forwardness was just adorable. And at times so super relatable (it's fiction y'all, you can't relate to all of it) and oh SOOOOO steamy!! Like, super HAWT. And hilarious. All rolled into one glorious story!
My point is this: you can either be the kind of person who reads this book that'll make you laugh, cry, facepalm super hard, and feel all those lovely sexy feels, or you can be the kind of person who sit in the poorly lit dining room and eat ramen by yourself. I don't even understand why you're still reading this review. GO ONE CLICK THIS STORY ALREADY!
*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I downloaded this as part of free Kindle e-book offered.
This book, even though is considered a full fledged novel, feels so Hallmark, that I am figuring out whether I should give it between 1 or 2 stars. I did not enjoy it as expected.
I think the commitment guy (aka the hero), seemed scary with propositions of a house, wife and kids during the first few chapters. It's just, the hero just becomes dreamy till the end of the book, that I could not find a fault in him. Maybe that's what makes this book such a dragging read.
And the heroine had such a commit phobic issue, that this 'opposites attracts' seems a little too skewed and too much, that I can't handle it between the two of them.
2 stars because of the great supporting characters. Other than that, this book is forgettable.
3.5 stars I can honestly write that this book was different and better than the rest of romcoms I had the misfortune of reading this week. The couple were cute, sex was hot and not exaggerated, the romance was nice and the ending poignant. I’m not sure if I’ll read the next instalments but I might.

I’m sorry to say. From the overachieving writing to the annoying insta love not to mention this is a book that would not pass the Bechdel test, everything in this book falls short. It doesn’t help that the story was predictable as predictable can be, which made me care very little whether or not the main couple ended up together, and that her self deprecating body issues, along with how everything aroused her (I mean it, it’s beyond ridiculous), made her a very unlikeable character. To top it all off, her male counterpart is described as a near god, with both wit and charm to spare, screaming perfection from out of all his lovely pores. Trust me, this book will give you compulsory eye rolling syndrome.
Who says that fate doesn't bring two people together under the most unusual circumstances at times? This cute little comical romance made me believe in fate and how opposites attract. I love how strong and completely independent Maya is, until she meets Cooper in the most unlikely way (unless it's in a novel). She and Cooper ended up with a hot and steam romance, but she doesn't lose herself and she shows that everyone needs, wants, and deserves romantic love.
Lame. That is all. Okay, that's not all. I just expected there to be more of a plot than just the attraction between the two main characters. Even the problem that happens towards the end of the book seems contrived and obvious.
I'm not sure how I'm going to write my thoughts about this book without the spoilers. It's quite rare for me to give a five-star rating these days but for me, this book deserved it.
Cassie Mae has always been able to give her readers those laugh out loud and awww moments, and this book certainly has lots of them. Why did I like it? Probably because I can relate with the Maya's initial view about her life, and perhaps at one point, I had the same reasoning too...then I started thinking of what-ifs too... well, who wouldn't if you have a guy like Cooper Sterling?
If you loved Chase Maroney from Friday Night Alibi like I did, you'll definitely love Cooper Sterling.
Ok so let me begin by saying I honestly have not read a book in about 10 years I’ve struggled like crazy to get into a book. The other day I was looking at the books app on my iPhone and I saw that there were a tonne of free books that looked fun. So I downloaded a bunch and decided to start with flirty thirty! And omg I loved it I was so caught up with the whole thing it took me almost 3 evenings but I looooooved it!!! I can’t believe how easy I found to read it and to really get into it. It’s fun and flirty and romantic and sexy and funny and so emotional. I cried near the end!! I got so emotionally attached to maya and coopers love story! I love love love it!!! I really recommend it. Thank you for such a great book I can’t wait to read more books!!!
How had I not discovered this author sooner???! Wow. This was such a refreshing read! I loved that Maya was headstrong and independent, in control of her life and absolutely knew what she wanted out of it. However, she never expected Cooper (and neither did I). What a man! He had me totally swooning from the very first moment on the street. Almost every word he uttered was delicious and he had me wanting so much more!
I loved the premise of this book and that Cooper challenged Maya in the way that he did. It was sweet, sexy and lots of fun! And incredibly romantic, of course! I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
I loved the first 2/3 of this book and then it got super heavy. I would not recommend this book based on the last 3rd.
Spoilers: After the first 2/3 I thought this book would continue to be light and fun, but then it took a drastic turn. I feel like there should be a warning about infertility. So many women suffer from this and reading about Maya finding out she can't have kids is so triggering.
I really liked how this author wrote a character whose values and goals was against societies. I however did not like why Maya choose these values! She did not value herself, her body or think she was lovable enough to have the dream the majority of women have. Had she truly felt and believed being single and not having kids wasn't for her ...kudos! That wasn't the case! I loved how persistent and patient Cooper was! Loved that he didn't hold back his thoughts but was honest and open! He states that women didn't love his word vomit! I say give me a man that doesn't lie and hide his thoughts everyday all day!! New to me author. 2.5 stars ✌
I've been reading the books I got for free in amazon lately. I'm aiming to at least clear out some of my ebooks on my kindle. I know I should be reading my ARCs instead so I won't cram but I'm enjoying reading romance nowadays.😅
What caught my interest about this book is the age on the title. I'm 30 and I thought I might relate more on the story because I'm at the same stage as the characters. Unfortunately, I did not connect with Maya. Cooper is dreamy but too good to be true.
The pacing is too slow for me at the start and too fast on the latter part. Nothing's happening really. Also a lot of time skips which I'm not a fan of.
It was still okay. Some cutesy bordering on cringy romantic moments. It was at least a fast read.😆
Not a bad read at all. Even had some emotional bits which made it a more well rounded read. I will definitely continue to read this series and recommend to others to read. Thank you author for sharing.
Maya just celebrated her thirtieth birthday... with a kiss from the handsome stranger while checking her mail. It turns out that her handsome stranger is Cooper, a very wealthy man. He happens to need a realtor, which Maya is. They get to talk and he finds out that she's not interested in marriage and decides to see if she will be "married" to him while he's house-sitting a mansion. Maya considers it and wants to say no. But she's tempted and decides to take Cooper up on his offer, as long as he promises not to fall for her.
It's a bit more complicated than Maya originally thought. She begins to question some of her feelings. She says she doesn't want to get married or to have kids, but maybe she's just pushed it aside. Cooper is changing something in her, but she doesn't know if she's ready.
This book is fantastic! Out of all of Cassie Mae's books, I think I found my (current) favorite. I really identified with Maya's character. She's struggled with some of the same things I have, being around the same age and unmarried. It was hard to me to read some of her struggles, but it was so nice to read a character who is in the same place as I am. I really LOVED this book! Seriously, Cassie - this was my favorite. :) Also, Cooper was so delicious! If I ever find a man, I want him to be like Cooper. At least a little bit. :)
Started out fun, a few genuine laughs, but then Maya's stubborn insistence on staying single started to wear on me.
Also, the perfect-in-every-way Cooper was just too good to be true. Hunky, adorable, rich, down to earth, and deep (why is this supposed to be a turn-off, anyway?)
Even more unbelievable is her refusal to date him properly. And the whole baby thing? I hate it when people keep a secret like that to play the martyr.
And then it ends with the set-up for younger brother to track down the love of his life, his decidedly unlovely-sounding girlfriend from HS, who will no doubt have bloomed into a swan.

Cute turning 30 novel about how we all think that big 3-0 makes us too old for somethings and so we give up our dreams. The next thing we know something comes along to challenge that idea and we have to decide if it is just wishful thinking. Wonderful romance even if it is very unrealistic.
3.5 stars -- I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.
I know, I know, you are all shocked. A 3.5 star for my favourite author. But not every story fits every reader, and this one just didn't quite work for me.
I think in the end parts of the story just hit a little too close to home with Maya not wanting to have children (although she doesn't not want them like I don't want them), and I was missing a few things from her perspective for me to buy the growth she went through over the course of the story. It's like most of it was there, but not all of it. I can't really explain it without going into detail, and I'm not sure how well I could do that without spoiling the story, so I'll just leave it at that. I think the timeline of the story worked against Maya as well. As far as I could tell the story mostly took place over the course of 3 weeks, plus an extra month...and I guess I just didn't quite believe in the level of feelings she had for Cooper and the changes she undergoes in such a short amount of time.
Now Cooper, on the other hand, was a total star for me. I am in love with him. Seriously, I want him for myself. He was just adorable, and strangely vulnerable at times, and with such a beautiful heart. I think I believed his feelings and his growth more, but I sometimes wonder if that's because the story is told entirely from Maya's POV, so I could just make things work for him better when I can't see inside his head. I'm not entirely sure. But I swooned at so many of the things he did and said.
I loved so many of the sweet moments between Cooper and Maya, and they definitely had me grinning with their banter and flirting. I kind of wish I'd had more...not sure what, but I just wanted more.
I wanted more from Maya as an individual too. I'm not sure if it was just me, but I just didn't feel like she was as clearly defined as I'm used to from Ms. Mae's characters. I can't quite picture her...I see a lot of her pieces, but I can't see *her* like I usually can. It could just be because I can't really relate to her, I'm not sure...but something was missing there. I didn't have that connection I'm used to. Now saying all that, I did feel things very deeply with her, especially near the end (totally had me crying with her).
I can say that I'm seriously hoping we get Holland's story, because I feel like there's so much more going on with her...I really loved the friendship Maya had with her, even if it was just small pieces here and there. And I was so freaking sucked in by the tiny teaser epilogue we got about Robbie and his mystery friend -- now she seems like SO MUCH my kind of girl!! So definitely looking forward to what's coming next in this series.
So yeah. I'm bummed. I love this author, and I really did enjoy this book, it just wasn't a hit out of the park like I was expecting, and so I'm probably more disappointed than I would be if this book was from a different author. Oh well.
It was a cozy read, your usual rom com, fast paced, funny and entertaining, if you want to read something with a feel-good kind of vibe, this is a good choice. The typical boy meets girl, boy battles to get girl while she rejects him, a dash of drama, but at the end, we all know what’s to happen. This story leaves a cliff hanger for the next which will continue with one of the other characters in the story.
Wow...what a hard review to write without giving away spoilers. In advance i'm sorry if some of this doesn't make sense but maybe it will when you have the pleasure of reading the story. This is another of Cassie Mae's book that i can seriously relate to and I loved every second of reading it. There may be a small spoiler so just be aware.
I find that this author is amazing at writing books which cover excellent topics which normal woman can relate to and this one did not disappoint. Being 35 nearly 36 and not having any of my own kids I completely understood where Maya was coming from. The personal questions, lack of understanding and sometimes disgust from other people is horrible and there has been a time or two that i have gotten into heated fights over my choices. Now when people ask I get defensive immediately even if i don't mean too. I have never tried for children and probably never will so i don't know if i can actually have them but I know that if i was told i couldn't it would still upset me because, well, at the moment i still have the option if i do change my mind.
I may have gone off topic so to move on, I loved Maya and Coopers story. It was well written and kept me enthralled from beginning to end. Thank you Cassie Mae for another winner :)
4.5 stars for Flirty Thirty by Cassie Mae. This is book 1 in the Nerdy Thirties series. I am loving this series so far. Maya just turned 30. She has no desire to get married or have children. Copper is a billionaire who is ready to settle down. He wants a wife and kids. When he sees Maya he is instantly attracted to her. He also says whatever is on his mind and while it bugs most people Maya likes it. Will Copper convince Maya to changer her views on marriage and children. I absolutely loved Copper. He is sexy, sweet, and knows what he wants and goes after it. This book was filled with laugh out loud moments buy it also had some moments that brought tears to my eyes. I don’t want to say something that would spoil anything, but I will say that this book is a 100% worth reading.
