Reviving Emily Project DEEP Book 1
by Becca Jameson
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a pleasant surprise this book is very well written. Reviving Emily story is very fascinating. I never expected Becca Jameson to have such a scientific mind, or that her research into this subject would be so meticulous. I don't normally enjoy reading medical stories because I worked in this field and most of the time they aren't believable but Reviving Emily is a totally different it's what I enjoy reading without having to lower my expectations. I'm excited and happy to read how Becca Jameson's impressive writing would make some drool with this story. Her writing is magical with her abilities its also such a surprise with this type of story with romance. I never in my life imagined that a medical story would keep me on the edge of my seat of all things. Even though all of the characters are fascinating the story is focused mainly on Emily and Ryan. Of course, I have enjoyed reading a lot of Becca Jameson books and they are not complete without a strong male character. This isn't how I would say Ryan is at first glance, but it does nicely fit him as the story goes on. Emily is a doctor who has missed ten years of her life because of the virus and when Ryan discovered the cure she was the first. Ryan became a formidable presence in her life he was protective, sexy, and her life line. The story also has a great sense of humor, drama and love. This is a enjoyable read that you can kicked back and enjoy this story it's too cute!
The chemistry between Emily and Ryan is absolutely off the charts. They constantly find themselves in each other's arms, but Emily is stubborn enough to want Ryan to stick around and force him to live. The sexual tension is great – a nice, slow, build up. When they were together, I thought that they would combust. These two characters are meant for each other. The book also flip-flopped between the main characters point of view. I always enjoy knowing the inner workings of the individual characters. What I found myself looking for was more depth of emotion in certain scenes, which made it to the degree I was hoping for. Although we get a clearsense of the love between the hero and heroine, some scenes tugged at my heartstrings more, than I desperately wanted them to. But all and all this is the medical story I quite enjoyed. I am so excited and anxious to read the next story in the series. I highly recommend this book it's a must read.

Erotic Sci-Fi at its BEST! A PRODIGIOUS story full of steam and a future about which readers can dream!
AAAAHhhhhhh! “REVIVING EMILY” is so amazing I am already frustrated with the attempt to review it without revealing! A very frustrating endeavor because no matter what the review says, reading “REVIVING EMILY” was more marvelous, awe-inspiring, eye-opening, dream-expanding, than mere words can convey. It also held some of the saddest commentary on human nature I’ve ever read while at the same time spreading joy and the hope of a brighter future! A dichotomy of thought, actions and reactions was prevalent throughout the novel. The characters of “REVIVING EMILY” are rich and expertly developed as are all the characters found in something written by Author Becca Jameson. The plot is complex and so fraught with conflict and seemingly insurmountable odds that this reader was on the edge of her seat throughout the reading. “REVIVING EMILY” also kept me up late or more accurately until early this morning, so that may be frustrating my efforts as I type this “Couldn’t-put-it-down” commentary. The good news is that this review is short. The better news is Author Jameson writes with an easy-to-read prose so that readers can focus on those wonderful characters caught in circumstances beyond their control. While I was given an ARC of “REVIVING EMILY” to prepare this honest, voluntary review; I plan to place it in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle. I STRONGLY suggest you purchase your copy of “REVIVING EMILY” today so you can celebrate with me when I say, the best news is, “REVIVING EMILY” is Book 1!! The BUNKER will be back. . . Happy pages! 😉

This is my personal opinion and should not influence your decision to read this book.

I’m not sure what genre this should be classified as it feels a little paranormal but has a ton of science behind the storyline.

It is well written with an interesting storyline but I find it dragged. I realize since it’s the first book in a new series there had to be a setup of sorts but I’m on chapter nine and I’m finding it slow going.

The heroine’s back and forth while understandably for the story was annoying at times. I’m sure I’ll eventually read the others but I’m not diving right in.

Loved it! Great start to a new series. A well written terrific storyline with fantastic characters. Loved the cutting edge science with a futuristic edge along with the steamy romance and suspense. Ryan is the boss! Reviving Emily in more ways than one ;) Worth the read. Can’t wait for the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

Reviving Emily is an entertaining romantic suspense by Becca Jameson with a little sci-fi twist. Ms. Jameson has provided readers with a well-written book loaded with fantastic characters. Emily has been in a lab accident and everyone is infected. She is finally suspended in a cryostat and now that a cure is available she is finally being reanimated. Ryan's parents were both suspended at the same lab and he's worked for 10 years finding a cure and putting together a team to reanimate all of those in cryostats. Ryan and Emily's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Becca Jameson in the future. Reviving Emily is book 1 of the Project DEEP Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Reviving Emily, the newest book from author Becca Jameson is a thrilling suspenseful read. Ms. Jameson combines, science, a little science fiction, romance and suspense that captures you from the first chapter and doesn’t let you go until the very end. The range of emotions that Ms. Jameson was able to evoke from me made this a captivating read that I didn’t want to ever end. Although I love Becca Jameson and all her books, I must admit that I was a little leery about reading this book but once again Ms. Jameson delivers a fantastic read.

The story revolves around Dr. Emily Zorich and Dr. Ryan Anand. Emily was cryonically frozen just before succumbing to a horrible blood disease. A disease that Ryan is very familiar with as his parents were also victims of the disease. When Ryan discovers a cure and brings Emily back, the friendship they develop as he helps her adjust to this new and different world is heart-warming. You see the world through Emily’s eyes as she tries to adjust to living again with the knowledge that 10 years have passed. And you see the world through Ryan’s eyes as he realizes that this woman is special to him and not just for her mind. With all the good, of course, comes some bad and watching Emily navigate with Ryan’s help made the book more wonderful.

Becca Jameson has a unique way with her characters and doesn’t disappoint with this newest book. This is one book you’ll pick up and not want to put down. So, if you are looking for a great summer read by the pool or beach? Add Reviving Emily to your library!

I have to say when Becca Jameson goes in a new direction, she goes big!

This series centers on a group of researchers who had been infected by a sample and cryogenically frozen until a cure could be found.

The doctor who finds this cure and puts together a team to 'thaw' the subjects is the son of two of the researchers, Ryan Arnand.

Now the first person to go through this process is not one of his parents. Emily Zorich, a hemotologist, was close to a cure when she was taken down by the disease. It was decided that she would be an asset to their team, and she could also evaluate the work Ryan has done that led to the cure. Even though his work has cured many, there was concern that the disease might have mutated over the years and might not be effective on those scientists originally infected.

In spite of all the secrecy involved as it has always been a government facility, things leak. There had been other attempts at revival of people that had be cryogenically frozen that were unsuccessful, due to the different circumstances of the patients.

Life changes rapidly for Emily, for everyone it's been ten years but for her it feels like just yesterday. Ryan and her have a spark that can't be denied and even as the powers that be want to send her into hiding for her own protection, the relationship blooms hot and heavy.

Plenty of suspense as the protesters and press come out in full force and some crazies too.

I can't wait for the next 'revival'!

Once in “Reviving Emily” by Becca Jameson I could not put the book down for there is a lot going on especially in the beginning. When we learn about
parents who are doctors in the “Project Deep: Disease and Epidemic Eradication and Prevention” or also known as the DEEP bunker. Where we learn Ryan’s parents, Lieutenant Tushar Anand and Lieutenant Trish Wolbach-Anand, have the disease they have been researching for a cure for the Anemia AP12. Years later Ryan is working on the cure for Anemia AP12 to reanimate all the scientists and his parents who have the disease and need the cure. He succeeds with the cure. Becca Jameson draws you in to learn what is going to happen next. After many years of the doctors and scientists being preserved in the bunker waiting to be reanimated and the cure the first person reanimated is Emily Zorich. From the beginning Ryan is intrigued with Emily from her very detailed research notes to seeing her for the first time. He couldn’t stop watching her. There is just so much going on that you can’t help to read the book to learn what is going to happen with the reanimated scientists along with what is happening with Ryan and Emily. I extremely enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend this book.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.

Imagine going to sleep and waking up ten years later. You haven't changed but the world has. Your loved ones have aged and technology, science, the world in general has passed you by. That's what Dr. Emily Zorich faces after being cryonically perserved just before succumbing to a fatal blood disorder. Dr Ryan Anand, the man who discovered the cure for her disease, is by her side as she navigates this crazy new world she's re-entering. Not only must they deal with religious zealots who condemn science for playing God, the lunatic fringe that believe in vampires and zombies and the ever persistent media but what the future holds for them individually and as a couple. Emily's life is endangered and while she's rescued she feel it might be best to just disappear because she can't bear the thought of anyone losing their life protecting her. Ryan quickly and succinctly disabuses her of the notion, convincing her he's all in and cannot live without her in his life.

Becca Jameson has penned an absolutely fascinating story combining sci-fi and romantic suspense. These characters are so well crafted, richly layered and emotionally charged. The story is evenly paced with some edge of your seat moments that keep you turning the page to find out what happens next.

Becca Jameson is one of my favorite authors. She writes in many genres, paranormal romance, erotic romance, contemporary romance etc. all of which she does extremely well. “Reviving Emily” is a mixture of science fiction and romantic suspense that is so well written I was unable to put the book down till the last page was read. Dr. Emily Zorich a has just been reanimated after being in cryostat for ten years. Dr. Ryan Arnand is the doctor who discovered the cure to Emily's disease. They become friends and then lovers as Ryan helps Emily deal with the new world she is now facing. Emily is being hounded by the media, religious zealots and every lunatic fringe possible. With her life in danger Ryan is determined to stand by her side. This captivating book is filled with drama, passion, suspense and beautiful romance. The superb writing and complex characters make “Reviving Emily” a pleasure to read. Don't miss out. One-click for an amazing reading experience.

This was a very enjoyable book. The concept of basically freezing a person, in order to revive them at some point in the future when there is possibly a cure for whatever disease they have is fascinating! It is very slow to get going, this is the only reason it received a 4 instead of a 5 star. I know there needed to be background info, especially since this is the first in the series, but it was tough to follow. It did pick up and got to a point that I did not want to put it down. I loved the what could happen, how would people react if this were real, and also the thought that all things happen for a reason and maybe fate wanted Emily frozen so she could meet her soulmate, Ryan, 10 years in the future. Emily has a new outlook on life, as I would think I would, after her experience. She realizes that you really need to smell the roses and not be so DEEP into work that you miss life.

I just loved how this was not only about falling in love but how Emily tries to adapt to life after being in a cryostat for 10 years and the attention from the public once word gets out. Ryan has been so dedicated to finding a cure for a disease that was killing people and it took 10 years for him and his tea t finally get there and now he is at the point where he can start to re awaken not only Emily but the team that includes his Mum and Dad who were originally trying to find a cure but got infected also. Ryan is so caring of Emily and doesn't want to push her however also doesn't want to let her go so is pulled between continuing his work and building something with Emily. You can feel how torn he is as well as the feeling of being lost in the new world and trying to find out what she really wants not only in life going forward but also with Ryan. I can not wait for book 2 to see what happens next!!

Suspenseful romantic terrifying ..Hard to put down!!
Ryan has been working for years to find a cure for the scientists
who after an accident in the lab succumbed to the deadly AP12, which Ryan's parents are a part of. They all were cryonically preserved. Emily, one of the scientists who was cryonically preserved was chosen as she worked tirelessly and took copious notes on her findings towards the cure of AP12, and through reading all of her writings (not all scientists take notes), they choose Emily to be reanimated fist, now that they had a cure. They want to reanimate them all, but will wait until after they see how Emily does. The plot is superb, very interesting intriguing dynamic story. I loved this....the characters are well written and very believable......I could not stop reading.......I hate
to give a story away, so I won't ....

Hmm not sure I am into the science medicine this story entailed... Its not time travel or modern its very much science fiction with a element of time travel sorta...cryogenic reanimated sick people with a cure for their diseases falling for in this case a doctor with a vested interest in saving his parents... It was an ok story if you could get around the very weird science of cryogenic reanimation... I am not probably in a hurry for the next one but that's not because it wasn't a good story its mostly because I just couldn't get into the whole cryogenic thing and the idea he was someone actually much younger than her.... I probably would have loved it if he was a doctor several decades after she was first cooled, so she didn't know him or his family... And he didn't know her. Ten years seemed not the right amount of time or... Anyways its a good read but the storyline isn't for me.

I received a copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A really good romance with a bit more. 💞

I have to honest here... I don't ordinarily read this type of book but it was suggested by the author and a good friend, so I gave it chance. I'm really glad I did too! 💓💕💓

Ryan's family are scientists who've been exposed to a virus and have had to be "cryopreserved". Emily is the scientist who was closest to discovering the cure when it was her turn to go into stasis and has been chosen to be the first to come out. It's definitely a sci-fi based story but it is so much more than that. There are people out to put a stop to the program and people out there to exploit it. Oh... and a bit of romance along the way too. 😷💖

This book was a slow starter for me, but I think that it's because it's not a genre that I've read much of.

However, I was drawn in to the storyline bit by bit, until I couldn't put it down. It's a futuristic tale relying heavily on a medical/science fiction background, but at the heart of it is a love story where one party (Emily) is literally given a second chance at life.

She has the opportunity to look at her life and the way she lived it before. Is this really what she wants now? Is her work the most important thing, or should she take a chance on love?

It's an interesting dilemma. Her dedication to her work is what has given her this opportunity, this second chance. I can't wait to see how the rest of the series plays out.

This subject was such an interesting one and one handled so well from Becca. Both Ryan and Emily were wonderful characters and I loved how Emily had to handle being brought back from a cryogenic state. Along with a wonderful plot there was lots of action and emotions in this story. Great chemistry and sexy time along with secondary characters that were also likeable. Let alone the general reactions that the public had as I fully believe this is how the situation would get this type of response. This was a fantastic story that is well worth reading. Loved it!! Ryan had been working on a cure for his parents and to help revive them for stasis. Now after 10 years he was about to revive the first of the team of 22, only he felt attracted to woman who had tried before him to cure the disease. He felt close to her after reading all her work to help him. Emily felt like she had gone to sleep and woke the next day only it had been 10 years. She remembered the young man that was the son of her boss but now he was the man she felt closes too. This story is a little out there but very touching too and as with all good love stories there is a few baddies waiting to pounce when you least expect.

Riveting!

I have not read anything based on this topic before I read this book. I am completely spellbound. I admire the research that surely went into the writing regarding the topic.
The love story between the top two characters in this book is simply beautiful. The love between Ryan and his grandmother is relatable to this reader. The love Ryan has for his parents is wonderful.
I have no negative feelings about this book, and I am very excited to start the next in the series.
As usual, well done, Becca Jameson *****

What a unique and original story! The book stars out slow and thoughtful, them bam! It pulls you in and doesn't let go. I was surprised with many aspects of this book because I thought it was going to be more science fiction, more “out-there” when in reality it was a heart warming love story. There were some heart stopping moment as I might have swooned once, just saying. I was pleasantly satisfied with this story and look forward to more. I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

Reviving Emily by Becca Jameson is book One in the Project DEEP series. This is the story of Ryan and Emily.
Although this was a sci fi type story it also was a great theme of love. Emily has been 'a sleep' for about 10 years. Ryan has be working to help the process that Emily is in. Never truly meeting her until she woke it starts feelings to come forward
This was a different type of a romance that I overall enjoyed.

First book in a new series and it sets the scene nicely. Not knowing anything about the science of cryonics I can't say how accurate things may be but as a story, it all works well together. This story introduces a number of characters (& possible characters) that I can see going on to have stories of their own. I'm not really a lover of science fiction so I was a bit wary but the level of science/techy talk was a good balance. Happy read more in this series.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
Emily lost ten years of her life to a disease
Ryan is found a cure.
Are these two ready to build a life together ?
Or are they still stuck in the past ?
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Emily & Ryan

I started this book I didn't think I would have such a strong reaction to the moral and ethical issues raised. At it's core it's an office romance - where the co-workers are medical researchers and Ryan successfully cures her of a fatal disease. The author does a good job of capturing how disorienting and life changing the science used is. Looking forward to the next book which features Ryan's parents.

Very interesting story

Reviving Emily was a bit of a leap for me, but was so worth it. Emily, Ryan, and all the other characters were so alive and multifaceted and their world was so full of the darkness of humanity wanting to destroy what they don’t understand. There is mystery and danger and love most beautiful. Some second chances as well. That mostly comes with book two. In all a wonderful journey with such well written words!

Becca Jameson once again proves she has an amazing talent for writing! This felt like it could be or become true very soon. She clearly did her research on the scientific aspect of this series, and even though this wasn’t a domme/sub story, there was enough passion to get steamy. Ryan and Emily are great together. I hope we get to see more of their relationship in the coming series! Can’t wait!
