A beautiful book with 31 devotional prompts, 31 healthy, speedy, and tasty breakfast recipes, and full-color pictures from an author you love. Look for Asheritah Ciuciu’s newest book in October 2019 or pre-order now.
Asheritah Ciuciu is a writer and speaker who helps women find joy in Jesus in the midst of an overwhelming life. She and her husband, Flaviu, grew up in Romania but now raise their spunky children in northeast Ohio. Connect with her at www.OneThingAlone.com.
What can I say? I love the concept! I love the format. I love the thought-process behind the creation. There is a lot of good stuff here. However, I think you have to be a person who feels comfortable adapting – because the book is definitely difficult to execute in the way that it is designed. The good news is that the author gives you permission to deviate.
The big picture approach to this book is doing a morning bible study over breakfast. I love that each day Ciuciu provides a quick study option and a more in-depth study option. You choose what works best for you on any given day. Ciuciu also provides a breakfast recipe. They all look delicious, but honestly, I can’t imagine that anyone is trying new breakfast recipes thirty-one days in a row!
In regards to the studies, the quick option only requires reading and contemplation. Usually, the Bible verses are quoted – at least in part – for you. The in-depth version definitely requires more involvement. It requires that you actually reading in your Bible. Ciuciu provides thoughtful questions to allow you to ‘engage the text.’ The follow-up sections are devised to have you assess the main idea, spark transformation, and turn to God in worship.
As far as the content, the studies are written with women in mind – but there is no clear topical direction. I think each day is just something relatable to women. It’s not necessarily on stress or children or prayer. It presents a variety of topics. That’s not a bad thing! I just wanted to make it clear because I think that point is missing from the general overview of the book.
Even though the book stands on its own just fine, Ciuciu has developed a website to provide additional support. The website wasn’t live at the time of this review, but on it Ciuciu intends to provide printable reading plans, leader’s guide, discussion questions, and so much more. I think it will be a nice bonus feature.
I imagine you will see this book making its way through many church circles! I hope to gather my own circle or two and dive deeper into these studies – and recipes! I will be blogging about my experiences at www.Patch405.com.

Asheritah Ciuciu's passion for getting women into the word is obvious in her new book, Bible and Breakfast. In the book, she encourages women to begin (or continue) a lifelong habit of starting each morning in God's Word as they eat breakfast. The idea is that while we feed our physical bodies, we would allow God's Word to feed and satisfy our souls..
Bible and Breakfast includes 31 entries, but Asheritah invites readers to skip around or take their time if needed. While she does provide 31 days of reading and study, I do appreciate the Aheritah makes sure readers know there is grace. She says, "There is no one-size-fits-all Quiet Time formula in teh Bible because God made each of us one-of-a-kind. God is after our hearts, not our chiecklists."
Each day's entry includes a breakfast recipe as well as a "spiritual snack" for those days when you're on the go, and a spiritual FEAST for those days when you have more time to spend in the Word. The "snack" is a short morsel to consume and meditate on all day while the FEAST is a more inductive approach that includes these sections: Focus on God, Engage the Text, Assess the Main Idea, Spark Transformation, and Turn to God in Worship. Readers are invited to choose what they need for the day, because either way, they're putting God first. She also encourages this as a time for moms to help model for their children what it means to begin the day with God in His Word.
As she invites readers to "Taste and see that the Lord is good," Asheritah takes readers on a journey to make abiding in God's Word a priority. This is an amazing resource that I highly recommend, whether you're new to the Word or you're looking to bring freshness to your spiritual life. And some of the recipes are pretty tasty, too! Readers will also find some helpful resources at her book-related website as she invites them to join with other women in the journey--either in local small groups or online.

This book is exactly what it claims to be: breakfast recipes and some help getting into the Bible every morning. I like the combination!
Every day opens up with a full-colored picture of the recipe for the day with ingredients and instructions, followed by a brief personal story explaining the recipe, the way the author feels about it and why she included it in the book. I like the way she set the picture and recipe first, and kept the story short and sweet. As much as I like food blogs, I tend to scroll straight down to the recipe, because I tend to be in a hurry. But then I miss the story, which is often interesting but too long and too full of pictures. The Bible study section follows the recipe and we're given two options: a short "snack on the go", with a cute illustration of a to.-go cup, or a "feast at the table", with a proper mug of coffee (or tea). The longer devotional is an inductive study with questions to guide you through the passages for that day.
The studies are personal and easy to understand. Ciuciu is passionate about Jesus and about busy women, especially mothers, finding time to connect with Jesus on a daily basis. She also likes food and encourages women to prepare healthy meals for their families and themselves. While the book is presented as a 31 day devotional, there's no need to feel under pressure to make the suggested breakfast of the day, every single day. I can see myself trying out different breakfasts on weekends or as lunches or even dinners sometimes. The recipes look delicious!
I think I will purchase a printed copy of this book when it becomes available in my country. It would make a beautiful gift.

Hungry for more of God's Word while living a busy lifestyle? Trying to develop family devotions? If so, Bible and Breakfast is the encouragement you need. This is a devotional/recipe book. The recipes focus on physical health while the devotionals focus on spiritual health. The devotions have two options for each day. Both focus on the same Scriptures, but the "snack" option is used when your time is crunched and the "feast" option is used when you make time to linger with the Lord. The snacking is no less than the feasting, but sometimes we want to go deeper into Scriptures so the feast is a wonderful option. Devotions paired with recipes makes this a unique book. Oh my gosh! What an amazing book. If you want to create, revive or rediscovering morning time with God this is the book for you! I loved this book. It is a must read.
There is a little circle in the upper left corner of the cover of Bible and Breakfast by Asheritah Ciuciu that says, "Feeding our bodies and souls together." I love that idea--of starting my days with Jesus and a healthy breakfast. Some days may not go as planned but this could be the goal for 31 mornings anyway.
Bible and Breakfast is a beautiful book all the way around. The colorful pictures of healthy food dishes on the cover and throughout the book inspire me to eat healthfully and to spend time with both my family and our Bibles as we do so. This book starts out with an introduction to both the Bible reading plan and the recipes. There is also a section with frequently asked questions/answers in the beginning. Ciuciu addresses people of all ages that may be using this book and offers ideas on how to get the most out of it. She also offers ideas on how to get the most nourishment for your body from the recipes. Each devotional includes a "snack on the go" with a shorter section of questions and study for days you are busy and needing something quick. Then there are "Feast" Bible study prompts for when you have time to dig deeper. Every recipe includes a full color photo. There are also recipes that especially appeal to children, some that can be made ahead and frozen for busy days, as well as some gluten free options. You also don't have to guess which recipes fit those categories--it is clearly marked at the top of the recipe if it is gluten free, freezer friendly or kid friendly.
Bible and Breakfast just couldn't be made much better in my opinion. I like the full-color pictures of all of the recipes and that the recipes are easy to follow with standard ingredients. I like the flexibility of the Bible study options for each day. I like that there is space to write out answers and to respond if you wish to do so in the book--although I like to write my answers in a separate notebook. There is a ribbon marker to keep your spot--whether you want to mark the recipe you wish to make the next morning or keep your spot to continue on in the Bible study. Bible and Breakfast would make a wonderful Christmas gift for a young mom--or an older mom. I also liked her idea she shares in the book encouraging those who have empty nests to come alongside a younger mom and do the study together. That might be especially nice for families that live close or for neighbors nearby. All in All Bible and Breakfast is both beautiful and practical to use.
I received this book from Moody Publishers. All opinions in this review are my own.
The author definitely has a passion for God's Word and bringing it to people. Each day has a quick, "snack" sized option, or a heartier devotion for those with more time. I would say the true, "feast" option would take someone 30-60 minutes each to complete thoroughly, whereas the shorter option is 5 to 15 minutes maximum. The author has numerous places to look up Bible Scripture and take the time to really think about what you've read and how it applies to your life. Her website bibleandbreakfast.com also offers numerous resources to readers as well.
The recipes provide a good variety of menu options. They include kid friendly, gluten free, freezer friendly, and also short meal prep times. Each day has a lovely colored picture with detailed recipe instructions. There is something for everyone. Using breakfast as a way to get you into the habit of sitting down and diving into the Word is great, but this book can be used at any time of the day that works best for you.
I could definitely see this as a beautiful gift book for birthdays or for the holidays. It is hard cover and has an impressive heft to it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Moody Publishers and was under no obligation to post a review.
I recently finished reading the new book Bible and Breakfast: 31 Mornings with Jesus--Feeding out Bodies and Soul Together by Asheritah Ciuciu. The title caught my eye as one of my goals as we started this school year was to have a homemade breakfast as a family every morning. Let's say we didn't get much further than the first few weeks although we still have something homemade every once in a while. Back to Bible and Breakfast, Ciuciu does a great job of providing a variety of breakfast recipes but the Bible aspect is definitely the selling point. For each day she includes two devotions. The first she calls a "snack" which is a quick devotional. The second she calls a "feast" which is more of a full-on Bible study. In these studies, Ciuciu has readers using several different parts of the Bible, has questions to think about, models different Bible study methods, and encourages a variety of prayer prompts. There is a lot of good content here that is not just a Bible study but teaches individuals how to study the Bible. Each "snack" and "feast" is interesting, but I did not discern a topical theme that goes throughout the entire month of studies.
The idea of Bible and Breakfast is great. I really like the two devotions per day format as I can see someone reading the "snack" in the morning and then completing the "feast" later in the day during nap time. I also liked that although the tags line is "31 mornings with Jesus" the book could really be used for two months or if you skip weekends, even longer. I think the target audience for this book is young moms or moms who are at home, are self-employed, or otherwise have schedule where they don't have to be in the office at 8. As such, this book is a great option for Christmas presents for the women in your life.

I really enjoyed this devotional. It has a great deal of reflection and action, which is something I look for. I enjoyed the recipes and while I was not able to try them all, I loved the idea that I could and can make them later.
I also really enjoyed the quick devotional messages for those mornings on the go. While they were not as hearty they did get the point across and gave something to think about.
Bible And Breakfast is a full-color, beautifully photographed cookbook, devotional and Bible study, combined in one book! This book contains a good variety of 31 mouth-watering recipes (such as Make-Ahead Breakfast Burritos, Powerful Prayer Quiche Lorraine and Good Morning Smoothie) alongside 31 devotionals that accompany each day’s recipes!
What I appreciate most about these devotionals and studies is how flexible they are – clearly, they were written with busy women in mind! Each day's reading includes a “Snack On The Go” devotional that we can reflect on during our busier days, and a "Feast At The Table” Bible Study that takes us deeper into Scripture on the days when we have more time on our hands! These deeper studies take us through multiple Bible passages and provide journaling prompts with space for us to respond to right in the book!
Developing healthy habits requires discipline, but books like Bible And Breakfast make the process fun! This is a wonderful book for women who are looking for practical ways to feed their families while incorporating Bible Study and devotional time into their morning routines!

I received a copy of this book from Moody Publishers.
I loved this concept of this book. It is a very unique devotional book that includes recipes for breakfast to enjoy while spending time in the morning with the Lord. There are also photos of the recipes included, which I always appreciate in a cookbook. It is a beautiful hardcover book with a ribbon bookmark to keep your place.
There are 2 options: 1 that takes less time (the “snack on the go”) and 1 that is more in-depth (the “feast at the table”). I appreciate this because there are mornings when time is very limited and others that I can sit down and go further in depth.
Although I love the concept of a cookbook/devotional combo, I haven’t used them together. I am not a morning person unfortunately, so I often spend my devotional time at the end of the day. The devotionals are insightful and ask the reader questions that causes them to further contemplate the verses.
The recipes all look amazing. Make ahead breakfast burritos and rainbow fruit salad are the two that I’m most excited to try. They range from very quick and simple to a bit longer to prepare. Each recipe lists the prep time, cook time, and serving size. There are also many kid friendly recipes included.
Overall, this is a great cookbook/devotional combo that I really love and will keep in my library for years to come.
I received a copy of this book from Moody Publishers to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book is linked to a blog https://onethingalone.com/bible-and-b... which is a creative devotional and bible study ministry - one thing alone ministries - which is helpful site with ideas and suggestions for bible study and prayer. . The bible study/ recipe book seems to be aimed at a mums and toddlers loking for bible study resources. I would pass it on to people from church if they were struggling to come up with ideas for a group study.. The recipes are helpful but do not really add to the bible study resources. If I was totally honest I'd say that its a bit too try hard and whilst it may encourage some people to start a morning bible study habit it may equally irritate and put people off - but that's just my opinion I'm a person who likes to read the bible and chat about it in a freestyle way rather than following a plan. It'.s interesting to look and see what other folk are recommending every now and then and this book was not a waste of time and I would expect it to be well received in general.
"Bible and Breakfast" by Asheritah Ciuciu is a blog-turned-book from a concept that Ms. Ciuciu created by having a desire to have a healthier breakfast and to regularly read the Bible. She says that the book was written for women, however, I thought as a man that the devotionals and Scripture was applicable.
There is a daily "snack," i.e. a shorter devotional for someone pressed for time, and a longer, "feast." Each day also includes yummy recipes to try out for breakfast. The book also references her website, www.bibleandbreakfast.com with lots of resources to lead discussion groups, more information to pull from, and even printouts when you invite friends for breakfast.
There is a lot of great content here to read, use and grow as a Christian.
I received this as an eBook from Moody Publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of the title. I did not receive any compensation from either company. The opinions expressed herein are completely my own.
Bible and Breakfast gives you not only food for your spiritual devotion but also a new quick breakfast recipe to enjoy with your reading. It is calming and quieting to sit and enjoy not only a satisfying breakfast but a fulfilling devotion. I look forward to making the delicious sounding recipes. Some days I may only have time to read the "snack" while other days a will enjoy the "feast". I believe that I will enjoy this book for far longer than 31 days. I received a copy through Netgalley. I was not required to write a review.
I love the idea of this book and plan on buying a hardback copy as soon as possible. I think combining a cookbook and devotional is genius. I looked over some of the recipes and most were easy and kid-friendly (which is a plus with my 5 yo!) There are short devotions for busy mornings and longer ones for days where you can digest (literally & figuratively).
Something nutritious served with love is a great beginning to the day. Add a lit candle and an open Bible, and you’ve got nutrition for both body and soul. Asheritah Ciuciu has created a beautiful resource that combines biblically rich devotional food with a collection of thirty-one healthful and inviting recipes to go along with each day’s reading.
Bible and Breakfast: 31 Mornings with Jesus introduces mums with busy mornings into the practice of feeding our bodies and souls together. The reality of mum-life is that every morning looks a little bit different. Sometimes there will be time for feasting on the Word while double chocolate banana muffins or baked cheesy polenta fill the house with the aroma of homemade love. Rushed mornings call for one of Asheritah’s “snack on the go” devotionals and baked oatmeal cups doled out to the crew on the way out the door.
Let Jesus’s invitation to “Come and have breakfast” change your morning routine as you incorporate habits of holiness into your day and live your way into the daily welcome of God’s presence and his love.
Many thanks to Moody Publishers for providing a copy of this book to facilitate my review, which, of course, is offered freely and with honesty.
Bible and Breakfast is an amazing book. It leads you to Jesus, who is life forevermore. I have been doing her daily devotions online, and have grown closer to the Lord. Asheritah is a gifted writer and I am thankful she is sharing her talents with the world! I would recommend this book to women of all ages. The devotions are thought provoking and encouraging, the recipes are delicious, and the photographs are amazing. Thank you for allowing me to share my opinion, which would be 10 stars if possible!
Beautiful book! Photography is excellent. Very well-laid out and captivating. Love the concept of 2 different devotionals per day, meaning you get more than just 31 days of devotionals - you get more than 60. Beautifully put together; timeless investment for anyone in various stages of life (even those who don't eat breakfast!).
SUCH a gorgeous book from cover to cover. A wonderful resource to help women open up the Word of God to feed their souls while they feed their bodies. This would make a beautiful gift as well! Highly recommended.
Love the idea of my bible with breakfast. I try each day to start my day in God’s word to get started on the right foot and this book is the perfect way to do just that.
Have you ever struggled to read the Bible consistently? During this time of quarantine and viruses, we have some extra time for both culinary adventures and Bible studies. Asheritah Ciuciu discovered that combining devotions with breakfast can help make both more of a habit!
Bible and Breakfast, written by Asheritah Ciuciu, is part-cookbook, part-devotional. With bright, colorful photos and delicious recipes, Asheritah shows women how to combine a yummy breakfast with family devotions. She provides options for big families and busy mornings, making this devotional very flexible, and leaves plenty of room for personal response. Through the entire book, she keeps one goal in mind. Her hope is that women will start the life-changing habit of spending time with Jesus every day.
I tried a few of the recipes and had a fun time. Asheritah gives detailed instructions, the recipes are relatively simple and healthy, and they can be adjusted for big families. I had some trouble finding some of the ingredients, and my siblings suggested a couple changes to the recipes, so sme of the recipes might take a little trial-and-error and adjustments. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed changing up our normal breakfast schedule and reading the devotion a a family. Along with every recipe, Asheritah wrote a small devotional to help women get into God’s Word. She provides the options to “FEAST” or to “Snack on the go”, depending on your morning schedule. For the busy mornings, she includes all the Bible passages and guidance, so you’ll only need her book with you. I really enjoyed having devotions with my family the morning I made Savory Pancakes. It was really neat to study God’s Word together at breakfast. I also read one of the devotionals while baking the Eggy Potato Casserole. However the devotions turned out each day, I really enjoyed our little cooking and devotional adventure!
To finish, Bible and Breakfast is a fun, practical way to learn new recipes and to spend time with Jesus. The devotions bring readers to God’s Word and provide an effective way to start a new habit by combining it with breakfast. I can’t wait to try out more of the recipes and read more of Asheritah’s devotionals! Maybe this devotional is what you’ve been looking for! It’s the perfect way to keep busy during this quarantine!
Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my review. This still is my HONEST opinion.
Review Title: Taste and Know Goodness (Review of Bible and Breakfast by Asheritah Ciuciu) Reviewer: Janice Garey ***** 5 Stars
This lovely devotional feeds the soul and fuels the body. It uniquely offers choices in how to approach each day's reading and use of the book. This works well to fit with real life that has abrupt schedule changes on a regular basis. On some days the reader may have a chunk of time to devote to Bible study and other days a five minute devotional time is all that can be found. Formats for both are within this devotional. The short devotionals are called snacks. They tide the reader over to the longer Bible study times. This helps keep the reader from feeling guilt when unforeseen disruptions to plans for time alone with God happen.
In addition to the short or longer devotional Bible studies, a delicious recipe for a breakfast food is presented. The offerings appear to be original and ones that would please all but the most picky eaters. These recipes are tried and true for the author and are keepers. After use as a devotional, the book deserves space on the cookbook shelf of home libraries.
For the Bible study sections, the author uses the teaching style of asking deep thought provoking questions about the reading. This prompt to dig into scripture for the answers works well as a motivator to learning. The book does not have a section with suggested answers to the questions, but the author's website may have a leader's guide with that information available online.
This book would work well for a ladies' Saturday morning gathering to cook the recipe, dig into Bible study, and enjoy breakfast together. Or, instead of Saturdays, a group of homeschool moms could do this several days a week while their children study together.
The many options for use of this book is a refreshing joy. It would fit the needs of all ages of adult ladies. The book teaches the discipline of Christian hospitality to those who choose to invite others to join them in Bible and Breakfast studies.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book in ebook format from #netgalley for reading and giving an honest review. I would prefer a hardcover to utilize this book as a cookbook, but for group studies, the ebook version would be sufficient. I have read the book and given my honest opinion. I have no obligation to give a good review. I have not tried the recipes, but they appear to be easily accomplished with an expected good result.
Bible & Breakfast, by Asheritah Ciuciu, leads its readers to 31 mornings with Jesus. It is more than a devotional as it helps us to develop a habit – a habit of growing a daily Bible reading while also enjoying a healthy breakfast.
This is a beautiful hardcover book with thirty one devotional readings which also include thirty one recipes. It is a book to feed your soul and your body. The author explains: “Each day, you’ll find a recipe for one of my favorite breakfast ideas, a short spiritual “Snack” for those mornings you’re in a rush, and an inductive Bible study “FEAST” for when you can linger at the table with God’s Word.”
The book is a delightful combination of devotional and cookbook. The photos are make each breakfast look mouth-watering, an encouragement to try each one.
The readings are a meal for the soul – bringing encouragement and hope for the day. Pressure is alleviated as the choice is there for us each day – snack or feast. Either way, you will ingest God’s Word and be fed with thoughts like these: “When we surrender to Jesus and allow Him to lead, He bears fruit in us, not only transforming our life but drawing others to Himself through our transformation.” (page 46) “We need to join God in what He’s doing, not expect Him to approve of what we’re independently doing … He invites us to work in dependence on Him, not independent of Him.” (page 135) “Before our toes touch the ground, before our thumbs scroll the news, before we’re overwhelmed with out to-dos, let us boldly declare God’s lovingkindness.” (page 202)
You’ll find complete recipes for baked cheesy polenta, make ahead breafast burritos, overnight eggy breakfast casserole, creamy cream of wheat, morning glory muffins, and many more sure to fill hungry bellies each morning.
The combination of devotional and cookbook, wrapped in a beautiful hard cover with photos throughout, makes this a perfect gift for any occasion.

Is your body and your soul hungry? Asheritah Ciuciu's newest book "Bible and Breakfast: 31 Mornings with Jesus – Feeding Our Bodies and Souls together" was published by Moody Publishers. For each of the 31 days Asheritah offers one of her favorite breakfast ideas, a short spiritual "Snack on the go" for those readers who have little time in the morning and an inductive Bible study "Feast at the table" for those readers who can spent more time in the morning (or later in the day) studying God's word. Asheritah's goal is to show busy women (and men) that they do not have to rearrange their schedule for "Bible and Breakfast". It is meant to fit right into ones life in order tog et the readers to a consistent "Bible and breakfast" habit. Three times during the 31 days Asheritah presents a series fo questions under the title "Develop a Healthy Habit" in order to challenge the readers to reflect on what they have studied until then. "Bible And Breakfast" presents itself with a great design and great pictures. It is not only inspirational for oneself but will also make a great present for others. I highly recommend the book because I like the idea of combining the Bible and breakfast and appreciate Asheritah's very personal comments and experiences which can be found throughout the book. There are three more features that I really like: 1) the recipe index by tags /freezer-friendly, gluten-free, kid-friendly, Meal prep) at the end of the book is very helpful, 2) the conversion chart US to Metric measurements for some basic ingredients helps those who do not own the measuring cups and spoons that are common in the US, and 3) the notes that can be used for further studies. Additional bonus content such as a quiet time guide, a printable reading plan, a leader's guide, or a play list can also be downloaded. The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the author via Moody Publisher free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. #BibleAndBreakfast #MoodyPublishers
Asheritah Ciuciu is an author of many talents - so much so that her new book is really two books in one: a cookbook and a devotional! “Bible & Breakfast: 31 Mornings with Jesus” is a lovely hardcover book from Moody Publishers with dozens of full-color food photographs and recipes, plus it is a multi-use devotional.
“Bible and Breakfast” helps us “Kick-start a morning habit of meeting with Jesus and eating a healthy breakfast every day.” By combining devotionals with recipes, Asheritah supplies us with the practical and accessible tools we need to transform our mornings for the better.
The devotional portion can be used either as a “snack on the go” for busy days, with a short but powerful reading that you can ponder as you go about your day. If you have more time, you can “feast at the table” on a Bible study that helps us dive into the Word, answer thoughtful questions, worship, and apply the new insights to our lives.
The recipes are very doable and each one includes a lovely photograph. They are comprised of very ordinary but healthy ingredients that I usually have on hand, and they are low in sugar content which I love. Many of them are make-ahead and freezer-friendly, and some of them are gluten-free. I have tried several recipes so far and they have each been a big hit with my family. I look forward to trying more very soon!
Overall, “Bible and Breakfast” is a wonderfully unique book that is certain to become a beloved volume for many women. The devotionals hit home and are good for any morning - whether short on time or not - and the recipes are yummy and easy to master. The gorgeous hardcover design and luxuriously thick pages make this a perfect gift as well. All in all, this book is a winner all around and I highly recommend it to help make mornings a time of peace, health, and communing with Jesus. Don’t miss it!

Just when I think I couldn't love Asheritah and her writing any more, I got to read this beautiful book that she's written in effort to help women establish a regular connecting time with the Lord in the mornings! Asheritah is so down to earth an writes from her heart and her personal experiences. She's so easy to connect with, especially for moms, as she is a mother of 3. She radiates grace, especially in this book. I love how she has formatted the book for both days when you only have a few minutes to get your heart focused on the Lord as well as days when you have more time to dig deeper and linger in the Word. The recipes included are all really simple and most of them can be made quickly...and they're all pretty healthy too! The pictures are stunning. I would have loved to have had a hard copy in my hands! I will definitely keep this book on my "gift-giving" list and I highly recommend it to anyone who is seeking help with establishing a morning connection time or even just looking for some creative breakfast ideas! It is really simple, practical, and encourages you to start small. I was very encouraged by reading this book and I love that it has reminded me to make time with the Lord each morning a priority, even when I get interrupted by my kids and "real life"! In fact, Asheritah even encourages you to include your kids in on this time, and model to them how to make this special time with the Lord a priority.

I love the format and thought behind this book. Sitting down over breakfast to spend time with Jesus and studying God's Word. The book has 31 days of recipes along with a snack or feast Bible study. The snack study is for those days you don't have a lot if time to spend in Bible study and the feast is a longer study for when you can sit and savor the Bible and soak in the message God is speaking to you. I tried the BLT breakfast salad which was delicious and did the corresponding days Bible study. The book is full of colorful photos and I love that the author includes her family in making breakfast and the Bible Study. We can all lead busy lives and get distracted or wrapped up in our to do lists for the day and forget the most important item of the day spending time with Jesus in God's Word. I recommend this book to everyone seeking to study the Bible in a time of busyness, raising kids, shuffling errands, and just plain hectic days. It is also for those with a slower lifestyle who can sit and savor time in the Bible. The font and setup of the book is easy to read and follow. Grab your copy today, a cup of coffee, your Bible, pick a recipe and dive into a snack of feast Bible study. I received an advanced copy of this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
For the past 16 years, I have enjoyed one-on-one fellowship with God through 15 minutes in my One Year Bible and a cup of hot tea. This practice has transformed every aspect of my life. I never thought about it as having breakfast with God, but that’s exactly what it has been!
Asheritah Ciuciu makes breakfast with God easy in this new, gorgeous book. It’s a combination of devotions and recipes, along with beautiful photography of Asheritah and her lovely family. The recipes are healthy and wholesome. I haven’t made any of them yet, but as a chocoholic, I’m looking forward to the Double Chocolate Banana Muffins most. Many of the recipes are freezer-friendly, so you can make them ahead in preparation for busy mornings.
Each devotion is just the right length for busy women. You could use it exclusively for yourself or easily adapt it for family devotions. The book has room for you to fill out questions. However, I suggest keeping a separate notebook so you can preserve the beauty of this book and reuse it.
I can’t wait to use this book to spark family discussions after my one-on-one times with God. The breakfast casserole recipes are calling my name too! Such beautiful inspiration in this gift-worthy book.
I received a preview copy of Bible & Breakfast from Moody Publishers.
I received an ARC of this book from Moody Publishers via NetGalley, this review is my personal opinion.
I must say that when I read the title of the book it caught my attention, I love breakfast and bible study; so to find a book that has the two things together was a lovely surprise.
I know I am not alone on this, we try to start a Bible Study and something happen and we get far behind, this book is unique in that aspect; because it gives you two choices for each day, a short version called Snack on the go. FEAST at the table, wich the longer nd complete and deeper Bible study. The only thing I didn't like on this one was a bit long and I found it a bit hard since you need time and if you have to work or any other responsibilities it's a challenge.
You can see that this is a book made with love, with colorful photos and easy and healthy recipes. It gives an extra unexpected plus. So, overall I recommend this book because it has a good biblical foundation, well structure, with two options for you to choose for the daily study, either for someone building a habit or for someone already have it.
