Still decidedly meh. This series has really gotten worse since its debut. None of the volumes have been flat out bad, but so many of them have been meh. Emi's character is seriously annoying and I absolutely hate her tsundere tendencies. I like Chi, but her character feels a lot more flat than she used to. I really like Maou, Ashiya, Suzuno, and the side characters (which is why I'm still reading these!) but the story just isn't progressing fast enough. This volume moved the plot forward though, so maybe things will get better :/
It's pretty cool that Chiho is trying hard to be stronger and better, I like her character a lot, so I'm glad she's finally getting some training.
And Maou. My dear Maou. I love him so much. His character development is so so good. Also, what a goddamn dork lol. He's the only reason I keep reading this, and I'm glad that he hasn't let me down. Bless him.

The Devil King and compatriots settle into their new normal as Maou admits how much the details of his plan have changed while the end goal stays roughly the same. And then there's a big cliffhanger ...
Emilia and the others head to the spa, where Emilia tries to train with Chi-chan. Emilia goes to Ente Isla telling the others she'll be gone for a short time, but she doesn't return after two weeks and the others start to worry.
