The Hardy Boys get caught in a perfect storm! Something's fishy when Frank and Joe go undercover aboard "the Silver Lining," an old fishing boat, to find out why teen crew members keep mysteriously vanishing. The number of suspects suddenly dwindles when one of the crew turns up dead! This is unquestionably the perfect Hardy Boys graphic novel to read at the beach! Ages 8 to 12.

Scott Lobdell (born 1960) is an American comic book writer.
He is mostly known for his work throughout the 1990s on Marvel Comics' X-Men-related titles specifically Uncanny X-Men, the main title itself, and the spin-off series that he conceived with artist Chris Bachalo, Generation X. Generation X focused on a number of young mutant students who attempted to become superheroes in their own right at a separate school with the guidance of veteran X-related characters Banshee and Emma Frost. He also had writing stints on Marvel's Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight, and The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix mini-series with artist Gene Ha. He wrote the script to Stan Lee's Mosaic and an upcoming film from POW Entertainment featuring Ringo Starr. He also participated in the Marvel Comics and Image Comics (from Jim Lee's WildStorm) crossover mini-series WildC.A.T.s/X-Men.
An exciting adventure with the Hardy brothers! One of my all-time fave HB graphic novels! I love the brother team and their bravery. They have to solve the mystery and survive the deadly situations that result from being on a ship of suspects out on the sea, where they face intense dangers from a storm and treachery from the culprit(s). Good thing the brothers are there for each other! If you'd like, you can check out my whole spoiler-free review @ Hardy and Drew Mysteries. :)
Never read a Hardy Boys novel before. This is okay, some thrills as the Hardy's try to find a killer on a fishing boat. (W/out meaning to spoil the suprize, the only black guy on the boat is the first to die.)
The Hardy boys must be 19 or twenty (aren't they tired of people calling them boys?) and work for an anti-crime secret organization called A.T.A.C. and go around the world, between classes and save it in big and small ways.
If i were in fourth of fifth grade, i would have loved this.
Frank and Joe are more than happy to solve the mystery of missing crew member aboard a fishing boat that seems to be far more dangerous than meets the eye, but their live becomes mere bait for the dreaded killers lurking in the shadows! Lobdell gives readers an exciting and shocking adventure that screams classic "Hardy Boys" fun!
The artwork was good, but could've been better. The storyline had a good linear progression, but two of the speech bubbles had been overlapped by a sound stream of letters, by accident I hope. It went a little too quickly for me, but it was still good minus a few hammed up moments in it.
Can't believe the ship captain used the fishing ship for shipping illegal drug. In the end the captain got arrested and finally they can fish at peace without being afraid of being kill.
