John Smyth has survived mutinous pirate crews, wars, and the passage of centuries by keeping his life as he did his ships, organized and well stocked. But when his crew is tasked with stealing Pandora's Box for the government, it opens a door to destruction, and her name is Harmony Andrews.
A risk-taking investment broker by day, and a thief by night, Harmony is a member of the underground Digi Robins crew. Stealing relics to sell on the dark web, they donate the money to people without insurance who need life-saving medical treatments.
What she doesn't realize is the box she just stole is the very one her boss is looking for––the boss who just happens to be an immortal pirate. And as their adventure heads into the danger zone, she doesn't know what's more dangerous: the risk to her life or the risk to her heart.

Pirate’s Pleasure by Lisa Kessler 3rd book of the Sentinels of Savannah. Paranormal romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but better read as part of the series. Harmony is a thief. For a good cause. Which fascinates John with his pirate background. When she ends up with Pandora’s box, to two have decisions to make.
An exciting adventure. The whispering of the box? Eerie and creepy! Hope it’s locked up and lost in storage.
It’s back aboard the Sea Dog for boatswain John Smyth’s romance with his employee and thief-with-a-heart, Harmony who has something the crew are on the hunt for.
You believe in the myth of Pandora’s box?”
Following the series theme so far of immortal pirate falling for human and the potential heartbreak that scenario will bring in the future, there’s plenty of push/pull as John and Harmony give into their feelings and, as the title suggests, there’s much pleasure to be had.
The siren in his arms was luring him into a stormy sea, away from the safe harbor he’d created to face eternity.”
In terms of the overall story, this one took some time to get going with not a huge amount actually happening in the first half. But I do love how Lisa Kessler is centralising the romance around well known myths and with the passion and action all playing out in the second half, Pirate’s Pleasure is another enjoyable enough addition to the series.
I can’t believe I’m falling for a pirate.”

The third book in the Sentinels of Savannah series gives us John Smyth’s story. Pirates Pleasure brings together a band of immortal pirates against modern day hackers come thieves; The Digi Robins both with the same goal, Pandora’s Box.
She was beautiful chaos in his well-ordered world…
One side are looking to secure the box so it can be kept out of harm’s way, the other trying to sell it to the highest bidder, and initially John doesn’t realize just how close the supposed enemy is…
"No Lies…"
I’ll be honest and say this was the least favorite book I have read from the series so far, mainly because I found the first sixty percent of the it to be a long drawn out pile of not much story at all, and although the final forty made up for it in terms of action, I also struggled with the ‘insta’ everything between John and Harmony too, particularly because I never fully warmed to her and didn’t see them as much of a match even in an ‘opposites attract’ theme.
She was quickly discovering she hadn’t known her boss as thoroughly as she thought she did…
I understood her need to remain independent in view of her past, but a lot of the time she just came across as arrogant and pretty naïve to the serious danger she was actually in. Her blasé brushing off, of certain things and lack of self-preservation for herself and those around her just annoyed me.
The main story arc has developed a bit more though, with Agent Bale still being a large contributor in the POV stakes, and I’ll be interested to see who the author decides to bring to the fore out of the crew, for the next book.

This series just keeps on getting better – I’m loving reading it! Take the crew of a pirate ship, the Sea Dog, have them find and drink from the Holy Grail and be gifted with super healing powers and stopping aging . . . . centuries later have them living and working in the Savannah area – and sometimes assisting (for a fee) a member of Department D, trying to help recover stolen, powerful artefacts and relics to put them safely out of the way. That’s the backstory to this brilliant series. In this story, the artefact is Pandora’s Box and the thief who stole it turns out to be much closer than anyone had thought possible!
John Smyth, the Sea Dog‘s boatswain, is now a successful investor, running his business for the benefit of his crew mates. He didn’t realise that his most trusted investment broker, Harmony, is actually someone stealing relics to sell on the dark web to help fund medical treatments for people who couldn’t otherwise afford them through a group know as the Digi Robins. As her duplicity is revealed, John is faced with the dilemma of keeping her safe, stopping the artefact ending in the wrong hands and fulfilling his contract with Department D. As their adventures to keep Pandora’s box develop, so do their feelings for each other but they both have secrets – and so do others. Will they learn to trust? Can they keep each other safe? Will love find a way for them?
This is a fun, action packed adventure that had me turning the pages to see what happened next. I really appreciated how the relationship between the main characters grows as the story progresses. There is a brilliant mix of drama, humour and romance to keep the reader entertained throughout the story. I’m thoroughly enjoying the series and have no hesitation in highly recommending it.
I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review after choosing to read it.
Four and a half Well this the third book about immortal pirates features John the man who knows a thing or two about making and keeping money. He runs a successful investment business but is about to be very surprised by what his employee Harmony gets up to when not working at the office. John obviously has secrets of his own but Harmony has stolen Pandoras box ! Yes that mythical artefact is as real and dangerous as ever it was and John has been asked to find the thief but she's a lot closer than he thought . I'm really enjoying these stories about the crew who drank from the Holy Grail . They each have their own quirks and identities and initially I found John to be quite cool and detached. Harmony whilst meaning well is way out of her depth as she tries to help those less fortunate and I found her perhaps a little too trusting. What I really enjoyed were the periphery characters who added so much to the overall storyline and I'm very much looking forward to learning more. For now though it's all about John and Harmony as they set sail towards their own happy ever after ! This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

This is book 3 of the Sentinels of Savannah series and I would absolutely read the books before it so you understand everything that is happening in this book. This one is about John Smyth and Harmony Andrews. John has been in charge of his crew's money for more time than he can remember. And when he and his crew are tasked with finding and recovering Pandora's Box, he thinks to leave Harmony in charge of his company. Never realizing that she was the one who took the box to begin with in order to auction it and donate the money. Now they are thrown together and must not only return the box but work through what they may mean to each other.
I absolutely loved this installment! John has lived a long time and is definitely set in his ways. But Harmony smashes his habits to pieces and makes him feel alive again. But with him being immortal and her being mortal, they have a lot that must be worked out. I loved every minute of this book! From the main characters growing and realizing that they truly need each other to the agent finally becoming more human and down to earth to me. Now I really need to have a story for the captain because he has me beyond curious!! Loved it!
I loved this book. It takes you to the character's of Captain Hook's men and it is many year's later. They have drunk from the Holy Grail and can not die. John Smythe own his own business and has a woman named Harmony working for him. His crew is asked to steal Pandora's box for the government and that is where Harmony comes into play. Harmony is also a thief and works for the underground world called Digi Robbins. She steals relics to sell and then gives the money to people who have no insurance and need life saving medical treatments. Once John finds out who she really is he is also losing his heart to her. He can't decide if he should keep his heart safe like he always has or give it to Harmony. I loved hearing the names of the pirates. Plus the agents involved and how one has also drunk from the Holy Grail and trying to save a family member who he has watched from afar. This is the 3rd book of the series and I would love to read the other 2 books. I received this from Entangled for review.
Pirate's Pleasure explores love of money, power, family and the one person who makes you feel alive. Immortal pirate John Smyth has experienced them all but the last. Now he has found a woman right under his nose that has him feeling alive and adventurous again. But he has secrets and so does she. Their story is rollicking fun and as close to adventure on the high seas as a body can get.

Immortal pirates...loved it. We get John and Harmony. John, our immortal pirate, is smitten with a modern day pirate who has gotten her hands on Pandora's box, which is, of course, real since John is immortal after drinking from the Holy Grail. There's a lot of mythology and fun in this story. Two pirates and trusting... how can that go wrong? What an adventure for these two to find their HEA. Great heat between the characters. Sped right through this one. Excellent weekend read. *Book provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review*
John and Harmony are our protagonists in this latest book in the Sentinels of Savannah series. Each book has different protagonists featuring one of the Sea Dog’s crew. This time, Pandora’s Box is out in the open having been stolen from Department 13 and evil might be unleashed to the world. John’s employee Harmony knows more, and he needs to find out what’s going on. But how can he when she is making him feel more than he has for a long, long time. Loved this light romance book with a mystery undertone. I have loved every book in the series so far, and I can’t wait to read more. There’s fun, romance, mystery and suspense that keeps me glued to the page. As an aside, I’m really intrigued by David and Department 13 in this book. They both have lots of potential, and I really hope we get to see more of David, his past and the department he works in. Hint, hint! I highly recommend this book! I was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.
John was the money man of the crew, the one who made sure each crewmember got his fair share of the booty. Not much has changed then, now he's a financial adventurer in the stock markets! He can't believe someone has such a line on investments as Harmony. He thinks she could be the one to take over his firm when he has to "die". But Harmony is keeping secrets and they may come back to bite her!
Harmony is done with being poor. Sure, she takes risks but they always pan out. But her 2nd job, as a digital, and occasionally real life, thief is quickly becoming her main focus. But can she really resist the lure of Pandoras box? It could be a huge payday for the digi robins but it could also wreak havoc on the world.
John may come across as cool, calm and collected but still waters run deep! Harmony seems to enjoy the thrill of the steal, she doesn't actually want the money for herself. Fast paced, intriguing storyline and great characters.
Pirate's Pleasure by Lisa Kessler is Book 3 of the Sentinels of Savannah Series.
Yayyy! Back again on the Sea Dog and damn if it just doesn’t keep getting better and better. I quickly learned that Ms. Kessler is no joke when it comes to knocking out a book that will have you quickly immersed into an amazing world of colorful and engaging characters, a defined world and a storyline that will rock your socks! This is a highly recommended read!

Harmony is a thief, sort of like Robin Hood. She steals ancient artifacts and sells them to the highest bidder. She used the proceeds to help seriously ill people who have no medical insurance get medical treatment. Her heart is in the right place. But the last 2 artifacts she stole had dangerous paranormal gifts. In steps a really old pirate. Takes a thief to steal from a thief? Heck, everyone wants the latest artifact. Game on.
One of the things about human beings is that we all require purpose. That purpose might be a career or a cause, or it might just be the hard work of keeping your family housed and fed and clothed and working to give your kids a better life than you had.
One of the problems of being immortal, or nearly so, is that the world changes and you mostly don’t. That the world passes you by while you stay frozen in it. And that it’s hard to find a purpose when you have already amassed all the wealth you could possibly need and when you have to stay out of the public eye in case someone figures out that you don’t age. And that it’s heartbreaking to have a family to provide for when you know up front that you’ll watch them all, including your children, grandchildren and great or even great great grandchildren grow up, grow old and die while you remain young and are forced to keep your distance.
The problems of immortality catch up with both the pirate John Smyth of the Sea Dog and the FBI Agent David Bale who leads Department 13 – the agency that deals with the paranormal and supernatural.
John Smyth was the Sea Dog’s boatswain back in those long ago days when they roamed the seas in search of booty and bounty. His job was to take care of the ship’s stores and hand out the pirates’ shares of the prize money. And he’s still doing it, over two centuries later.
But now he also does that same job for others who look at the success of his investment brokerage, Privateer, and put some of their own hard-earned money into his care. The rituals of his life keep him sane, but they aren’t really living.
The events of Magnolia Mystic and Pirate’s Passion, when someone stole the Holy Grail that gave the pirates of the old Sea Dog their immortality woke up the sleeping buccaneer in his soul. In the quest to get the relic back from the Serpent Society that stole it, John Smyth’s wild spirit woke up out of a long sleep – and it won’t go back.
Enter Harmony Andrews. Not exactly. Harmony is one of his top brokers at Privateer. She’s so good that he’s thinking of promoting her. But Harmony also has a secret wild side. She’s one of the Digi Robins, an underground hacker collective that robs from the rich and gives to people who need expensive medical care. Once upon a time, the Digi Robins saved her brother. Now she pays that gift forward by hacking and stealing to save others.
But someone has stolen Pandora’s Box. The very real, and very dangerous, box that contains all the world’s ills. Department 13 has contracted with the crew of the Sea Dog to steal it back.
From Harmony and the Digi Robins.
Escape Rating B+: If the Holy Grail is real, and it is in this series, there’s no reason why Pandora’s Box couldn’t be real too. As well as a whole lot of other dangerous artifacts that need to be locked up in the bowels of Warehouse 13 or Area 51 (or Area 52) or someplace else extremely secure. And deeply, permanently secret.
Pirate’s Pleasure is all about putting one of those extremely dangerous “genies” into that seemingly secure bottle – although we discover that Department 13’s warehouse isn’t quite as secure as everyone thought. Their method of transferring material into it certainly is not – as the Digi Robins exploit to kick off the story.
There are multiple things going on in this entry in the series, and all of them fascinating.
At the top, we have the very messy quest to get Pandora’s Box into safe (and secure) hands. But that quest sets off a worm-eating-its-tail loop of betrayals, counter betrayals, intended betrayals and feared (and preempted) betrayals. No one seems to be telling anyone much of the truth in this one.
When Harmony reveals her participation in the Digi Robins to John, in hopes of getting him onside their goals, it also sets off a chain reaction between them. No one has ever played him before – not in over two centuries. He’s intrigued. More than that, Harmony’s wild side speaks to his own – he’s just not sure he can (or should) trust her.
And she’s afraid to trust him. Or anyone. A situation that nearly leads to disaster. All of them.
Because Harmony has already been betrayed, and not by John Smyth. There’s a darkness at the heart of the Digi Robins, one that has reached out and compromised both her group and Department 13.
It may make Agent Bale just a bit more human and less unfeeling Agent Automaton. If he survives the experience. If any of them survive his experience.
There’s a whole lot to unpack in Pirate’s Pleasure – and there’s a whole lot of pleasure in reading all about it!
Taking risks and making money is something that Harmony specializes in. She does it so incredibly well that she has garnered the eye of her boss who also happens to be one of the most eligible bachelors in Savannah. But she has no time to dwell on that though as her private life and drive for her charity has her crossing some lines in order to further the cause. Some things are not quiet what they seem and she finds herself smack dab in the middle of whole lot of danger and trouble. Life isn't always exciting when one is a 250 year old pirate doubling as an owner of a high profile investment firm. Then again, that is exactly how John Smyth likes it. It keeps his mind sharp and his heart free of any mortal dangers. When the offer comes up to hunt down a relic though, he feels pure excitement as his true self begins to shimmer to the top. In his quest to get things going with his immortal crew as soon as possible, he learns that said artifact is a lot closer than he ever realized. It is so close that it involves the very captivating employee he has down the hall that he was just about to entrust his company to. Soon, it is a tough job of getting her to turn over the relic while keeping her safe from old foes and retaining his very old heart. However, what is life though without a little bit of risk. Pirate's Pleasure is the third book in Lisa Kessler's Sentinel's of Savannah series. This was the first one I that had the pleasure of reading. The perk to that is now while waiting for the next one I get to go back and read the first two! I has such a field day with this book. I loved not only this story but the premise of the entire series. You really identify with Harmony's desire to do nothing but help other people with very little regard to herself. Her relationship with her brother is also very feel good and you completely get it all. She doesn't want to rely on anyone but her self after some tough life lessons. The Sea Dog's boat swain is essentially still doing the same job and you understand his sense of order and stability. You not only feel his struggle to open himself to her but also to come to terms with his immortality and her lack there of. They are well formed and you can't help but love them together. The supporting characters in this series are awesome. I can't wait to see what comes next. There are plenty of threads to pick up. There was love, action, adventure and perfect amount of passion. I am incredibly excited to join into this series and author! I HIGHLY recommend this book! I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
This series of immortal pirates is so much fun! This time it is John Smythe's turn to find himself falling for a woman and then the problem of his immortality comes in to play. Can he spent her lifetime and then watch her die or just walk away.
Then there is the whole problem of the stolen relic - Pandora's box and Agent Bale. He has his own agenda when it turns out that the other person assisting Harmony is his relative.
So many problems to resolve, and it is a good thing that John has his crew to help him out when Harmony and Chris are captured and in danger. That is one thing that is hard to Harmony to do is rely on anyone else and that may be what keeps her from having a relationship with John.
This book was filled with lots of action, drama, intrigue, and romance so it was hard to put it down and I hd to keep reading to find out how John and Harmony could resolve their differences. Great HEA and especially the epilogue as they were all together on the ship to celbrate.
John Smyth is the boatswain of the Sea Dog. A ship that is a copy of the old pirate ship from hundreds of years ago. The special thing about the ship is that the crew are all the original ones who are now immortal because they drank from the holy grail. They have all hidden the truth with various disguises over the years, but stay together and still sail when they can. Harmony Andrews works in the finance world, trying to make money for her customers, her boss and herself. She also has a side job as a thief. The old box she has just stolen will help her raise a lot of money to help people with. There are a lot of magical artefacts that could be dangerous in the wrong hands. Our pirates are the obvious ones to see that doesn't happen. That is going to bring a lot of excitement and danger into our heroine's life. This is part of a series that is best read in order because of the relationships between the pirates. I have read and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them.
John Smyth is an immortal pirate along with the rest of the crew of the Sea Dog. He has survived many disasters and hundreds of years living with his secrets. He and the rest of the crew do certain jobs for a paranormal branch of the government. This time, they want Pandora's Box found. Harmony works for John as an investment broker, making money for the clients. He is grooming her to be a stand in CEO for his company when he is gone. By night, she is a member of a gang of thieves who steal artifacts and sell them on the dark web to help people who are in desperate need for money. What John doesn't know is that Harmony has already stolen it. Now what? This puts her in danger from many people, especially the Serpent Society. Will John be able to trust Harmony? Will the crew get Pandora's Box before all hell breaks loose. I have really enjoyed this series. Can't wait for the rest. I received this book from Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for a honest review. I read this book voluntarily.
Pirate’s Pleasure is an adventurous romance featuring immortal pirates. The crew of the Sea Dog found and drank from the Holy Grail giving them immortality. They are now working with a covert government agency to find and secure magical antiquities that have the potential to be dangerous in the wrong hands. The MMC is Sea Dog’s boatswain, John Smyth. He is now the CEO of a financial company. FMC Harmony Anders works for him but is harboring a secret that could threaten her position at the company. The Sea Dog crew is after Pandora’s Box this time. The book is fast paced and although John and Harmony have known each other for years, their love affair develops pretty quickly. The HEA ending is great. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance with mystery and action.

"Pirate's Pleasure" by Lisa Kessler is book 3 in the "Sentinels of Savannah" series. John and his crew on the Sea Dog are trying to get a hold of the Pandora's Box. Harmony is a thief and has already stolen Pandora's Box. John becomes Harmony's boss, and him and his crew are trying to keep Harmony safe. While doing so, he has a counterfeit one made to try and pass off as the real one. They don't want the Pandora's Box to get in the wrong hands because it has evil in it. John knows in his heart that he has feelings for Harmony, but he has been 39 years old for many years from drinking from the Holy Grail. He tells Harmony about who he is, and she needs to make a decision on what she needs to do. I have really enjoyed this series by Lisa.
Harmony Andrews works as an investment broker. John Smyth is the sexy boss she works for. Both have secrets and a strong attraction toward each other. But when trouble stirs and secrets are revealed will John and Harmony's love be strong enough to keep them together?
John Smyth has survived mutinous pirate crews, wars, and the passage of centuries by keeping his life as he did his ships, organized and well stocked. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Lisa Kessler is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book
Another fun book in the series. The characters are getting more interesting as we see them go on one adventure after another. This one sees John Symth fall for his wild and free spirited broker, turned thief. Harmony is part of the secret internet hackers' group, Digi Robins, and she has gotten in over her head with Pandora’s Box. John and Harmony set out to trick the Serpent Society into accepting a forgery, Agent Bale tries to save a descendant from poor choices, and love wins another pirate over. I enjoyed their story and look forward to more.

John is an immortal pirate who is well he is sexy and he has his life set up in such a way that it seems he is a little OCD he has his life set up and organized . He is oh so hot and trust me ladies you will love him . Harmony well she is a bundle of energy .It seems like she is the female Robin Hood a thief at night but she does it for a good reason . She helps people who cant afford life saving medical procedures . There are moments that she comes off as pushy person trying to push her deals on others . You will like her or hate her at the beginning but she does grow on you with her sassiness and her hard working attitude . The rest of the crew are back too and man they just keep getting better and better . I sat down and dove into this book and I just couldn't wait to see where the author was going to take us . She took us on a fun filled romp . But I will say before I go on that I had a hard time connecting with the main characters at the beginning of the story . I just felt that there wasn't enough emotion coming from them, like the other characters in the series .They did grow on me as I got deeper into the story and I did fall for them both . Over all I did enjoy this story and had a fun time reading it . The author made me laugh and had me on the edge of my seat a few times . So if you want a really good read for your summer check out this book and fall in love with the Pirates of Savannah
Lisa Kessler has created a unique, original series with the Sentinels of Savannah. Each story has been an awesome addition to the series. From the beginning this paranormal suspense romance has been full of twists and turns that it can no way be considered predictable. However, no story surprised me more than Pirate’s Pleasure.
The title is perfect because it is a literal and figurative view of pirates which John Smyth was once one. He knows a pirate when he sees one and calls without a skipping a beat. Then there is the double sided, Harmony Andrews, one woman right under his nose, who is as audacious, fearless and determined as John. Conflict between these two with an attraction that is irresistible as much as it is astounding and danger from many sides makes for some rough seas on this journey to John’s HEA. Just as good in this story is the choice of the stolen relic, that was simply brilliant.
Fans of paranormal or romance or action or well told stories will want this book and the entire series. I didn’t think that Smyth as the main character would be my favorite, but I loved it from beginning to the wonderful epilogue at the end.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
