Growing up in the Hinterlands hasn’t prepared Benjy for life in North Leland where the alphas grow to an alarming size and he’s expected to get a job. He’s never been farther than running distance from his den until the morning his father drops him off in the city to be claimed by the first alpha who‘ll have him. Of all the things Benjy isn’t prepared for, finding his own mate is at the top of the list.
Fortunately, JT has all that covered—a bed to sleep in, a job at the library he’s in the process of opening, even matchmaking services. There might be wolves in North Leland who disapprove of JT’s wild omega ways, but he knows all the hottest alphas and he for sure knows how to take care of himself. He can take care of Benjy too, even when Benjy goes into his first heat. But could any of North Leland’s alphas really be good enough for his precious potato?
As the library takes shape, Benjy makes friends and settles into life in North Leland, but he’s not getting any closer to picking out an alpha. Why would he want to when JT gives him everything he needs, including a very special sort of knot? But it takes an inconveniently timed heat and a predatory alpha to make Benjy realize who he really wants for a mate.
Omega Released is a sexy omega/omega love story. Please note that this is not an MPREG universe. No MPREG occurs in this story or any Omega Reimagined stories.
Tanya writes in a variety of romantic and erotic genres, being an avid follower of many of these genres herself. Some of her favorites are M/M romance, MFM threesomes, and BDSM with male submissives.
Tanya lives in New England with her boyfriend and her cat and has participated in many of the activities about which she writes, but not all of them. It's left to the reader to decide which are which.
Take this review with a HUGE grain of salt because I think these ABO stories are just not for me. Well, I know this story wasn't for me...
It took me over 5 days to finish this story, which clocks in at only a little over 100 pages, so that's saying something. I just can't with these stories that are over 50% sex scenes. They just don't work for me.
Okay, I'm no prude when it comes to knotting and copious sex, but I still can't get over the mental hurdle of self-lubrication in M/M. I just... can't. If you are a big fan of knotting (or ) then this might be for you, but it was a struggle for me. Benjy was almost painfully naive (he felt way too young for my tastes) and the cloying nicknames from JT didn't work for me.
Sure, some of the sex scenes were okay, but the book felt like one non-stop sex scene. Maybe if I had read the first in the series I would have known what to expect???
Fans of this author and ABO books, have at this one. I'm going to take a nice long break from ABO book... maybe forever.
Definitely still quite good... and it might just be me, but I had a really hard time with the two MC's in this one. Benjy was just too "deer in the headlights" for me to really like him and JT just rubbed me the wrong way from page one.
After liking the first two books of this ABO series A LOT, I have to confess 'Omega Released' didn't live up to my expectations.
I was quite pleased to see the main pairing in this story being two omega wolves, I don't think I've come across that before. Kudos to the author! But where I praised the pace of the plot and the 'wolfy' style of writing in the preceding books in the series, in this one I could not.
The main issue for me was that there isn't enough of a story here. Two guys meet, and the majority of the book they spent in one and the same bedroom. At least it felt like they did. I could almost feel the four walls closing in on me... By this point in the series I would have enjoyed the shifter world building around main and side characters to have gotten more developed. I suppose I miss a stronger background arc of some sort that would run through all books in the series, something that could hold my attention beside the romance.
My second issue was that the UST that was built up and then fulfilled so cleverly in the earlier books never felt nearly as strong between Benjy and TJ. Even the sex scenes took on a repetitive quality—with not one but two .
I'll definitely continue with the series even if this book was a slight letdown. I was happy to learn that Fortis, who was introduced as the most tempting cinnamon roll in this instalment, will be one of the main characters in book 4.
I loved this story!! I’m a big fan of different in romance and two omega heroes is definitely something that was different and done quite well. I loved both the heroes although JT made the book in my opinion. I hope we can see more books with this different kind of theme in an omega verse setting. It’s also has some crazy smexy times!! It was cute and had undertones of both a jealous hero and a pining hero ( my two trope weaknesses). I highly recommend to lovers of raunchy smut with a cute plot.
Another nice exploration of sexual and romantic desires, this book deals with two omegas and their journey to discovering what one really wants in a mate. Their exploration of voyeurism and exhibitionism and figuring out where their lines were when it came to the involvement of their neighboring alphas was fun to see. Benjy was sweet and naive in a very cute way and JT was kind of a lot, but they balanced each other out in a way that worked for me.
Omega Released is a sweet and sexy story that I found a lot of fun. There is a nice fish-out-of-water vibe here, both in the fact that Benjy is somewhat of a country mouse in the big city, but also that he is used to totally different cultural norms. I enjoyed watching him just bloom as he realizes how big a world has now opened up to him, and that he can have things he wants, rather than focus solely on his father’s expectations. Tanya Chris has built a world that is a bit of a twist on the typical omegaverse, with a nice spin on omega rights and equality, which I enjoyed.
This story is very sex heavy, but there is also a playfulness here. JT is just so full of life and his energy and enthusiasm help Benjy to open up even more. These guys are really sweet together in the way they take care of each other. The dual omega dynamic is an interesting one and I found them a fun couple. The story is told solely from Benjy’s POV and I do feel like I missed getting into JT’s head. As Benjy starts to have feelings for JT, it was unclear to me what JT was feeling in return. There are enough hints that JT is stalling somewhat in finding Benjy an alpha mate, but it is hard to know what he is feeling about Benjy and their relationship until pretty far into the book.
Well, that was quite different. I thought with their being omegas, it would be kind of sweet. But actually, this was kind of kinky. There were a lot of sex scenes in here. But please don't take my review seriously. Because I always bitch and moan about sex scenes. I need it at the right amount, the right paces, the right rhythm, etc. Just the right doses for me. And I think it's just me. I'm pretty sure everyone else wouldn't be bothered with this.

I really enjoy Tanya Chris' style and really, really like the fact that this a take on a/b/o without Mpreg. It feels like the only thing the M/M genre took from this incredibly versatile fanfic trope was guys who can get pregnant :( So, I was really sad to find myself not enjoying this new tale in that world at all. I'll make a short list because I don't feel like a long review:
- Omega/Omega can be hot but I come to a/b/o for the hot Alpha on Omega sexy times. I'm shallow like that
- If you insist on making it Omega/Omega how about not making them both cute, willowy little things
- I am not into wide eyed virginal characters who are shocked about their first orgasm
I hope the next instalment gets back to the interesting basics of this series.
Omega without Alpha loses some hotness, for me anyway, but I really enjoyed this. Tanya Chris has really been coming through for me more consistently than anyone else besides KJ Charles, and she's doing something completely different. Chris is so playful with this trope; can't get enough. 10/23 reread Enjoyed less this time; same complaint about omegaverse without alphas. Kept waiting for the main act to begin...
What could be better for an an omega’s needs? Someone that knows exactly what an Omega needs. Another Omega! This is definitely a turn of story that not many think to write about. There usually has to be a alpha involved. Mainly, if for no other reason, then because of an Omega heat. Nothing like an alpha knot to fix that problem. But these little omegas have found a way around that and ended up with something they both wanted but never knew they'd really get. My only complaint in this series….I'm ready for Devin to be thrown off a cliff. If you've read these, you know who that is and why I say that. Benjy is in an awkward situation. He's the littlest of his pack. A tiny little Omega. And the one no one seems to want. So his father brought him to Leland to basically pawn him off on someone. His father doesn't like the progressive life of the pack here, but doesn't know where else to go just yet. The others are too far and he can't be gone long. Benjy is new to 'city’ life, although, Leland is just a small town. For someone raised in the mountains and almost always a wolf, it's a huge deal. Once his father leaves, Angel and Ryker assure him, he doesn't have to mate anyone or do anything he doesn't want to do. Especially seeing as he is an adult. But the scents they are producing are overwhelmed and he can't think. So they get an Omega to show him around. Enter JT. An Omega with a flair. Sex is his life and he's not afraid to flaunt it. He wants it anyway he can get it and Benjy has a smell coming off him JT can't get enough of. JT smells just as good to Benjy. JT says he's going to help Benjy around and find him an alpha, but the longer Benjy is with JT, the more he doesn't want one. He wants this life with JT. But will Benjy be enough? JT wants to be mated and in love, but Benjy doesn't know if be will be what JT ultimately wants before his father comes back to get him. Having lived in small towns most of my life, I remember what it felt like, even as a child, to go to a big city. Eyes huge and a bit scared because everything was so big and so much. The first time I went to New Orleans, I thought I'd have a heart attack lol. So I can imagine what Benjy feels like. He doesn't even know what internet is. Or library. He knows what books are and can read but he's missed don't on a lot. He doesn't even like clothes. He's not used to wearing them. So for Benjy, I'm sure everything was larger than life. With JT being the flamboyant Omega he is, he was probably even more overwhelmed. But JT and his scent has a way of settling Benjy right down. And has a way of making Benjy want to protect JT as well. Enough to challenge an alpha! JT can't help but be who he is. He's always had a flair for life and since being introduced to sex, he can't get enough. And he's more than excited to introduce Benjy to the joys of it. But he takes care of Benjy. Doesn't rush him, is patient and does all he can to put Benjy at ease. Although JT doesn't want to be 'claimed’, he wants a mate. He wants love and life and all that goes with it. But with Benjy, he seems so insistent on having an alpha, he tries to stay closed up to a point so he doesn't get hurt. I love these two little guys so much. They are so perfect for each other. They really are. Their lives mesh so well and they fulfill each other needs just like an alpha would. They are the sweetest guys and so fun. The more Benjy is around JT, the more he has such a zest for life. And Benjy helps ground JT in a way no one else ever could. What could be more perfect. Life doesn't have to go with the norm. It's made to be different. And this is just what is needed. http://lovebytesreviews.com/
This is the third book in The Omega Re Series. A charming book the writing was good. But I think that it needed some help. It needed some detail to flesh out parts and make the flow of the story smoother. Even some of the world building aspects could’ve used some and not necessarily a lot. For instance, it was confusing on the clothing issue were they wearing cloths, naked or partially at any given time. There is no explanation of the general situation of whether wearing clothing is a norm or not. I’m not saying that it should be a certain way because I don’t care I just want to understand so that when things are mentioned I understand the importance of them and the history or background for the story. Even one or two sentences on that would’ve helped the story. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. Benjy and JT are the MC’s of this book. I really wanted to like this story more, but I kept stumbling over things that made it hard to enjoy totally. I did however like the story idea. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
These two omegas go against any and all principles of the A/B/O world and thrive in their closed lust/love soaked nest. They are the most versatile couple of the series so far and should have opened a toys shop rather than a library. Trigger warning: if you value order and cleanliness, you might have issues with JT’s housekeeping abilities; two omega wolves in heat together are messy....
Because they are sweet and vulnerable and strong and needy but not too much, their story earns 4*
This is a cute story of two Omegas finding love. I liked the naivety that Benjy has, but also how open he is to learning new things and experiencing things for the first time. Once he gets over his shock of everything new I his new town, he grows. JT takes care of him and promises to help him find a mate. You know what he is doing from the start, but it is fun to read about.
I enjoyed the guys trying new things together and learning more about each other. Things get hot and I just mean when they go into heat. This story is fun and cute. The connection between Benjy and JT is great and written well.
Woohoo, it's hot! Chris is one of my go to authors when I just want a good story with lots and lots of heat, this was no exception. I really enjoyed the unusual pairing in this, two omegas is not something I think I've read yet. Benjy's naivete did get to be a bit much at times, but TJ always kept thinks lively. At this point I am so beyond ready to see someone teach Prince Devin a lesson though, so I'm hoping that happens soon, please!!!!
I still think the 2nd book was the best in this series so far. This series so far has done a great job on giving a twist to the usual ABO theme. The romance was sweet and non-traditional between two omegas. But the characters were not memorable for me. The story did not flow smoothly. Benjy is cute and comes like the usual omega. JT is the odd one out here. He is brash, rowdyish and a flirt. Everything sounds great on paper but doesn't come across really well.
🔥Hot times in the 🐺 wolftown tonight! February 21, 2019 Format: Kindle Edition 👍🔥💕🔥There's definitely a moral to this story -- don't let others tell you how your life should be lived and who you should love; only you know what's best for you. This message comes through loud and clear as newcomer omega wolf shifter Benjy goes in search of a perfect mate. He's a bit of a Dorothy from Kansas, innocent and curious as he seeks a partner. In the process, whew, does he get exposed to a broad range of experiences, all of them 🔥🔥🔥 hot and eye opening😲. The world Chris drops Benjy into is drenched in sensuality and his shyness does not last!😝
Apart from the spicy couplings, there's not as much action or plot development as I have grown to expect from the author, whose novels I discovered a few years ago. This was not among my Chris favorites like High Lonesome, Predestination Unknown, Aftershock, Aftercare and Omega Revealed, but its main theme is interesting and explores social norms and those brave enough to challenge traditional gender identity roles in the pursuit of happiness.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I'm used to Tanya Chris' havier, kinky books and that's why I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I had so much fun reading it. Benjy is adorable, innocent and wide eyed, trying to find his footing in his new life. Being raised in a isolated, smaller pack, he has a cultural shock when he finds himself in a bigger community. He's looking for an alpha mate, because he's been raised to serve one. What he gets, though, is JT,another omega,a brazen, outgoing one,who has different ideas about an omega's role, needs and rights. JT offers help, both for Benjy's self discovery and finding the best alpha to mate. The quest isn't easy for either of them despite the fun they're having together. Both have deep set ideals and dreams for the future and don't know what to make of the strong feelings developing between them. JT is a romantic, hoping to find the one great love and Benjy has never really considered that love was in the cards for himself. So what do they do when they find what they've always been searching for in the unexpected person ? I highly recommend to grab this book and find out
Great story with fun wolf shifter characters. Benjy has been brought to the city by his father to find an alpha due to a lack of options in their home in the Hinterlands. Benjy has led a sheltered life, and his family has led him to believe he is of little value and should accept ANY alpha who will have him. But things are different in the city, and Benjy soon learns with the help of sexually free omega JT that he has choices and he can get whatever he wants. Benjy starts to reconsider if an alpha is really what he wants. This is a fun story, with exhibitionists, unconventional thinking, a matchmaker who isn't really trying, and lots of sex. I loved the characters, even Benjy's uptight father. As I mentioned, there is frequent sex, so if that isn't your thing, this book probably isn't for you. But, it you want a fun, feel-good story with minimal angst, this one should satisfy.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author, and this is my honest, voluntary review.
This book was unexpected. I don't think I'd read an Omega/Omega book before and while it wasn't exactly my thing, I still found it enjoyable.
I adored Benjy, he was such a sweet boy. I loved seeing how far he came in the three months he was away from his family. I liked JT, but not getting his POV made it harder to actually get to know and connect with him until the very end. Still, it was undeniable that they had a lot of chemistry and they were great together.
I really enjoyed this glimpse into the town's dynamics and seeing all the different relationships, so I'll probably go back and read the first two books in the series. Very recommendable!

Learning to live and love is an amazing journey. Finding yourself and discovering their is more to life is a journey. Alpha, Beta and Omega universe with very set expectations of each role. I loved that this author causes us to think about expectations and possibilities.
Benjy has been raised with the cultural expectation that he needs an older wiser Alpha and JT introduces him to a world where there are far more choices. JT is an awesome guide into this new world for Benjy. He introduces Benjy to a a world that he didn't think could exist. The steamy connection that is part of the journey is really spectacular.
Benjy and JT create a wonderful story that you will be happy to read.
Omega Released by Tanya Chris is a shifter romance and the third book in The Omega Reimagined series, although it can be read as a stand alone. This is a universe of Alpha, Betas and Omegas... but not with mpreg aspects. And it is about an omega in search for an Alpha, who instead finds love with another omega. I loved it!
JT and Benjy are fun, sweet and sexy. The story caught my attention and kept it. It is sort of unique in the way it approaches the Alpha/Omega aspects. This book definitely makes me want to go back and read the other books in the series.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This is a fun and sexy story with interesting characters and an intriguing storyline. Two omegas together is an unusual pairing but Benjy and JT are great together. I love how JT looks after Benjy and I like their connection. There is a lot of smoking hot sex in this book which is great but I wish there was a bit more to the story. I would like to see more interaction between them and more background information about this world. The secondary characters are good as well and I look forward to reading their stories in future books.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This story managed to be cute, funny, and hot. Two omegas "practicing" sex so that the inexperienced one, Benjy, would be ready for his mate. However, JT became more and more important to Benjy, making a previously hoped-for alpha sound less wonderful than it did before. In a town where wolves were free to mate (or not mate) as they chose, who knew what could happen? Benjy and JT were adorable when they were taking care of each other and being silly. I loved it when they ran in wolf form. Then, in human form, the omegas got sexy and kinky. These guys were just right for each other. I enjoyed their friendship turned sex-fest turned love story.
This is an unusual MM wolf shifter romance with an interesting plot that is filled with some quirky events occurring between the two main characters. There is: wolf shifters, an annoyed father, a rather naïve abandoned omega wolf shifter (Benjy), a independent omega (TJ), doubts, admiration, opinions, attractions, explanations, playfulness, assumptions, fantasies, arousal, advice, disagreements, confrontations, acceptance, happiness & explicit steamy scenes.
This was a super sexy story of Benji, an omega discovering himself, sexually and otherwise, once he's away from his family. His new life is eye opening in a much more liberal and free city instead of the isolation of his upbringing. JT helps him discover a whole new world. A super hot but also sweet story about finding love and making yourself happy. I haven't read the other books in the series but it worked great as a stand alone.
I LOVE OMEGA-OMEGA SO MUCH!!! I can't wait to read this again! Reasons I loved this: - the omegas loved each other and didn't need alphas for their heats - the omegas got their happily ever after without alpha interference - the omegas were both completely happy as omegas, not trying to be an alpha/beta or desperate the fulfill the alpha/omega relationship in some way, usually pregnancy
