This is another fabulous story in the series. The action begins where the last one left off with the individuals who are attempting to influence the Government through blackmail. Sean with his crew begin to pursue these individuals with limited information.

The amount of action in this story keeps you waiting for the next great revelation.

I enjoyed this and all of the stories in this series and recommend it highly. Looking forward to any new stories that follow.

"Want to take a walk in the woods?"
Two women were murdered in Washington D.C. as they sat, talking, on a park bench. One was a lawyer, recently dismissed from a top law firm, the other a journalist with the Washington Post. Were they just old friends chatting, or was information being passed? Because they had been killed with a nerve agent spray, a Russian nerve agent. F.B.I.special agent, Sean Kruger, is asked to investigate.

The Money Trail is a fascinating story of corruption in high places, of greed and the search for power, of foreign intervention and involvement, and of computer hacking and manipulstion. It has an all too possible feeling of plausibility, complex and fast moving, with a large cast of protagonists. Although few of the characters are fully fleshed out, there is sufficient characterisation to ensure the reader's empathy and the unfolding picture that results from the Kruger team's investigation grips attention throughout and is both contemporary and concerning. A great good read.
Narrator, Paul McSorley helps breath life into the numerous characters with his excellent individually differentiated voicings, and the text was read with clarity and good intonation. His brisk pace was well timed, leaving an impression of actual reporting. Altogrther, a fine performance.

This was an enjoyable, complex and fascinating book. My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy, via Audiobook Boom. Recommended.

Good. Absorbing. But...

As the fifth book chronicling FBI agent Sean Kruger, there are many good things already in place. Fields is faced with choices: extensive rehashing of the past each time a character with a history arrives, or simply incorporate the character, or find some skillful way to bring new readers up to speed without slowly down the action with rehash and review. For the most part he does a fine job of avoiding the rehashing.

One might consider him a decent successor to Tom Clancy; the genre and scope is similar. But where Clancy wrote at length and in depth about things ranging from weapons to spycraft, Fields fails to go as deeply into it. His topics are current, from politics to cyberwarfare, and as near as I can tell, he's capable of going into greater depth. I find it a bit disappointing that he doesn't. It is as if he had also fallen into writing as a means to an end that isn't the story itself but the potential cinematic interpretation.

This one is good - make no mistake. I'm about to go back to the beginning of the series, re-read what I have and pick up what I dont. This one is good. Not great, but really good.

‘There are no coincidences, only connections’...words that FBI special agent, Sean Kruger, lives by...and helps him uncover many sinister plots. In this ‘episode’, Sean’s nemesis from the last book, Dimitri Orloff, is at it again...using his financial backing to influence and manipulate key members of the US government. Then it becomes personal when he has Sean & JR’s wives almost killed. Can you say biggest mistake ever? When Sean & his elite team are on your case, be afraid...be very afraid! Another fantastic book in the Sean Kruger series! This author is my fave for FBI thrillers and the narrator is perfect for bringing these books to life. I look forward to more!!
I accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Since I read the first in this series, The Fugitives trail, it isn't so much a case of not being able to put the book down, rather that each time I finish one, I can't wait to read the next! Sean Kruger is the kind of hero that not only the USA could benefit from for real, but Britain too. He and his team are such believable, likeable characters - even the new US President would be the ideal if he were real. The twists and turns of each plot, and the cleverness of the way problems are unravelled and solved is brilliant, and so far I haven't been able to work out the ending until I get to it, which is unusual. I highly recommend this series for mystery/thriller lovers, but it is a good idea to start at the beginning because some previous events are referred to

Excellent book!

These books are very good. I'll admit I like books with white-hat hackers, getting bad guys out of government and good prevailing. This book contains all of those ingredients in a fast-paced, interesting story. The protagonist and his associates are all likeable people. The character development is good with each of them coping with their personal stories. Each book is good and could be read as a stand-alone, but are much much better read in order. Looking forward to more in the series.

The story begins with an unexpected double murder and some heartless people who are on the wrong side of decency and right. As usual, Sean Kruger has spot-on "gut" feelings and he's usually the smartest person in the room -- except when he's in the room with his friend and cohort JR - who is brilliant on the computer. This story involves lawyers, Russians and a lot of trying to find proof to shut down bad people.

Great series

I just finished binging on the Sean Kruger series. Each one was better than the previous one. Good character development. Good plots. Lots of action coupled with suspense and tension. My only complaint is that it was only a 5 book series. Hint. Hint. Highly recommended.

Difficult to put this one down!

At first I thought it would take some time to read this book, but after a few pages, I had trouble stopping. It is almost like a documentary about current affairs. We have been to hell and back this past year and that seems to be where this book takes you. Definitely enjoyed the read!

This was the first of the series that I read. I had a bit of an issue remembering who the characters were and how they were connected. Other than that, I really enjoyed the fast paced action this book. It actually parallels some things happening in our country right now. I was quickly drawn into the plot and finished in 3 days.

Complex Intrigue

Really like the main character, Sean Kruger and his tight knit associates. Very intriguing tale with lots of political secrets and the power of foreign money. Cyber and hacking for the good guys and the bad guys. Unique ending is a welcome solution to the overall plot. Recommended to anyone who enjoys the Sean Kruger series of books.

One of his best books yet. Looking forward to his next one.

Great read, a real page turner. Looking forward to his next book. Particularly liked the lack of nonessential conversation, strictly related dialogue.

Well written and makes you think what would happen if????

The story lines get better with each book. The author has a way of working each character in so they fit in normal story flow. This book makes you think what if this really happen or is going on now. Read and enjoy.
