Wow! Another captivating book in N.J. Walters Tapestries series! We get more background on the tapestry and changes in how it works! We are also treated to more than one person jumping through time in this one and it makes for an interesting scenario!
Kathryn is a scientist who has risked her life to save two genetically enhanced soldiers from certain death. She is fighting the good fight against her father and knows he will be coming for her and the two men. She just needs a bit of peace, so she goes to her attic. It's her special place away from it all. It's there she found books about a wonderfully magical tapestry. Then, she notices an old journal and a tapestry she had not seen before. Having read the other book about Jerek and Marc, she feels back for Marc. The beautiful tapestry she found, shows one man in front of a castle. Gosh she wishes she could just get away from it all! That night she dreams about him.
Hiding out with Logan and Tienan, things get dicey when they are discovered. When things look dire, Marc suddenly appears with the tapestry and ferrets all four safely away to Marc's world.
For Marc, the laws of his world are understandable. Women are scarce. Brothers must share. And only one will be the husband to claim all of their children. Even though Marc and Jarek have Christina, Marc is lonely. He feels Christina is Jarek's and he doesn't belong to her. When the tapestry suddenly whisks him away to an abhorrent world, the woman from his dreams is there, and in danger. He helps get her and her companions to safety.
Katheryn doesn't know what to make of everything. Being a woman of science, it is hard for her to grasp her new reality. But she must as now all three men want her. That is expected in this world. She has three days to decide whether to stay or go back. Marc is hell bent on never letting the woman of his dreams leave him again!
This book was a joy to read! I devoured every word! There was a lot of action and drama throughout. And the sexy scenes were seriously hot! Not conventional in the least, but that is ok. I still enjoyed them! I felt bad for Kathryn. She never really had a life. Always shoved aside and used for what her brain could give. She has a hard time realizing these men want her for her. I loved how the story unfolded, although I did not understand her thought process in thinking about going back!
I can not wait to see what mysteries the tapestry holds next!
I voluntarily chose to review a gifted copy of this book from NetGalley. The rating and review are my opinion.
