From the author of Saved for Me, The Christmas Pickup, and Take Me Home...
Jane doesn’t know her name, where she is, or why she’s on the street in a flimsy nightgown in broad daylight. As far as her memory is concerned, she is almost a blank slate. Taking a chance on the kindness the handsome owner of a local coffee shop, she gets more than just a few free samples.

WARNING: This sticky-sweet, smutty amnesia story is so adorable you’ll forget your own name! It has it all: selective memory loss, insta-love, hot phone sex, a protective alpha, a not-so-helpless damsel in distress, and a sunny HEA epilogue that will warm away your seasonal affective disorder. Plus a bonus super-hot second epilogue! ATTENTION: If you are a medical professional and you find yourself saying, “That’s not how any of this works,” listen: I KNOW. Relax. Enjoy. Be like Jane: sit down, have some good coffee and go with the flow. Put on your PJs and cuddle up with Jane and Shep!

Jane wakes up and realizes that she is in lingerie sitting on a bench not knowing who she is or where she came from or where she is. She decides to go try to get coffee at the shop across the street. Working together, they go on a whirlwind to find out her truth to make sure she is protected from any harm that may be coming her way!!
-safe read -h is a virgin -H not much talk about his history. He did have a girlfriend about 6 months ago. -good epilogues (5 months and 5 years)
Today is the first day of Jane’s life well it is as least as she can remember. Finding herself sat on a park bench clad only in pink lingerie not knowing her real name or how she got to be there. Spotting a coffee shop she heads there hoping she will find help and instead finds something more precious in the form of Shep. Jane then has to learn who she really is and what caused her to forget everything and but once she remembers her previous life will she want one with Shep?
Shep is finally realising his dream of opening a fair trade coffee shop when Jane walks in and suddenly everything that seemed important fade away as he has just found the woman he is going to marry. He will do whatever it takes to keep her as they go through this journey of Jane’s discovery together.
Both of the main characters are well written and there was a lot you got to learn about them and their lives which was impressive considering how short the story actually is. I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. Totally safe read.
This one was interesting i havent read a memory loss story in awhile... so when Jane walks into a coffee shop not remembering who she is, where shes from nothing she runs into the owner Shep who is already acting like a alpha male Jane is his no one is going to take her away from him.. they are attracted to one another but she starts slowly remembering, she remembers her angry bossy uncle who shows up causing a scene.. Jane has been raised in a cult she was being forced to get married..
Now... i still dont know how she had memory lose? When she went back to collect her stuff and tell her fiance she was leaving.. it didnt really explain it.. like did she hit her head? Did someone do it? But yeah.. also she kept the name Jane.. her cult name was Hallie mae?
Angstish, no ow drama mentions she had a fiance who cheated on her (when she got her memory back), no cheating, sexy times also not a manwhore...
Instalove/lust Masturbation Phone sex Memorie loses Hea Epilogue 2 of them

This story was short and very very sweet and here's the proof:
I hear Tamira’s voice ask, “You know her?” I shake my head no. “But I’m going to marry that girl.” “I’m sorry, what now?” Tamira replies. I can tell from the tone of her voice she thinks I’ve just lost my marbles. “I’ll be right back,” I say. “Maybe.”
I loved how, even though short, there was an actual plot behind, and the story itself was interesting and full of layers. I just thought how much I wished this was made up in a full book. Jane's amnesia lasted longer and her identity slowly going out into the surface. Tension built between our characters and maybe a side story of Pops finding his love on a boat? Yes- this would make this read a 5 star one.
The writing style shows us that author is able, indeed, to pull the full size novel. What is Abby Knox and Alexa Riley collaborated, writing it? Yes- I think it would be story of a year!
"And when I’m old and gray and receiving bad news from the doctor, I want no other person to be there for me than Jane."
I also don't quite understand such a low rating... Just for these few quotes I have here I would give this story 4 stars, without even reading it whole. It's simply a magic with words.
“Don’t be sorry. Never be sorry for letting me hear your voice.”
I wasn't sure what to expect from Sweet Jane but I was very pleasantly surprised by the steamy slowburn (hard to accomplish in such a short package) AND the interracial relationship. I appreciated how Abby Knox handled Shephard - the attraction between him and Jane was not fetishized in either direction. The premise is also unique (for me) and I also really appreciated both characters' interesting backstories and the fierceness of their attraction to each other despite their obvious differences. The epilogue is also super sweet and inclusive. I look forward to reading what the other gives us next. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
Jane, as the name she's using a la Jane Doe because she doesn't know her actual name, needs help, and you know, coffee. Finding herself out in the elements in lingerie isn't exactly smart. When she enters the coffee shop, she knows she's getting some questioning looks as well as others that are a little scary and whispers about her appearance. When a handsome man suddenly appears as if a knight in shining armor, she can either take a chance and trust him, or struggle on her own.
Shepherd has been so focused on getting his new business up and running that it even cost him his last girlfriend. She didn't enjoy being second place to a coffee shop and honestly, he wasn't sad to see her go. But when the beautiful woman walks in wearing an outfit suited for the bedroom, he knows he's found his one, and that she'll become his entire world.
As Shepherd begins helping Jane, which starts with a visit to the hospital where his dad, a renowned neurologist, maintains privileges checks her over. We learn that neither Shepherd nor Jane had a storybook childhood, Shepherd spending time in foster care until he was adopted by the man he calls dad and Jane, well, we aren't quite sure what her story is yet...but she's starting to remember and all signs point to her being in danger from it.
Can Shepherd help Jane remember who she is and where she came from? Or is she better off not knowing any of it? What happens when the past comes calling? Can Shepherd keep her safe? Is a HEA possible?
One-click now and follow along as a woman that's lost everything she knows finds the man who will give her a future.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
Loved and adored this book. Great storyline, Jane has no memory of who she is, she just knows she doesn’t want anyone to know where she is. Loved that she was in a pink nightie and robe…and just did not care. She walks into Shep’s new coffee shop and as soon as he sees the “Blonde bombshell” he knows she’s going to be his and says he is going to marry her. I adored Jane, she was just so cute and had zero filter. She was like a fun and quirky breathe of fresh air. I loved Shep and his dads relationship, such a great storyline.
Safe read, no om or ow drama, baby batter, epilogues and an hea. Cute story, with a quirky and straight forward heroine and a sweet hero. This was my favorite Abby Knox book to date. Could not read it fast enough.
Absolutely enjoyed this short read! Totally agree with everything about Abby's WARNING!!! Sticky sweet, smutty, amnesia trope, so totally adorable and so lost my name in this story! Insta-love, oh and that phone sex, damsel meets alpha so swoon worthy then that HEA loved it all!
So so sweet! I absolutely love a short, sweet, smutty read! This one was great. Loved the character, felt the chemistry between them. Love the insta love trope. Can't wait to read what's next.
First things first; I love the cover to this book. It’s so pretty! This story is short, fast paced and a sweet read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I liked Jane. Although she had amnesia, she didn’t care what people thought. She came across as sweet but a little reserved. I liked Shep. He had a sweet bond with his dad. He opened his coffee shop they way he wanted to. He was stubborn when it came to business. When Jane finds herself on a park bench in her night wear with no memory of who she is she makes a decision. Going into a coffee shop, she meets Shep and things move fast from there. On the opening day of his coffee shop, Shep never expects to meet the woman for him. As soon as he see’s Jane, he know she is the woman he will marry. But first, he has to protect her and help her discover who she is. The chemistry between Jane and Shep was instant and I liked them as a couple. I liked that although they couldn’t resist each other, they waited until they had the answers they wanted. I really liked that Jane went back to the compound. I liked that she stood up to her uncle and had a talk with Hanley and tried to make him see that he deserves to be happy with his love. The epilogue/so many years later part of this story was sweet. I liked seeing Shep and Jane still extremely in love and happy. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a nice read. I cannot wait for more from Abby Knox. The snippet for the next book has me wanting it now! I also hope that Levi and Cherie’s story gets told.
I did not enjoy this book at all. While the premise of the story is good it was not well executed. It seems as if the author tried to write elements of being black or coming from a cult but it is clear they do not have much knowledge of it. Granted everyone is different but still it seemed more like a book I would read on Wattpad rather than a good storyline one would pay for on Kindle. Had the sample included up to 30% of the book I would not have purchased it at all.
Review: Loved, loved, loved this story. Abby knox is an Author that creates Insta-love the way I always dreamed of. It's instant, its sweet, and there are relatable damn characters. She has such diversity on her books that I am always left so giddy after reading one.
This story was amazeballs! Coffee, a sexy barrista/coffee shop owner, and a woman who doesn't know her name. The love story was beautiful, and sassy. Another great book by an amazing author!
This was my first by Abby and I will not be stopping with this book! This was such a whirlwind romance and one of the best kinds! I absolutely loved Jane and Shep as characters! They were absolutely perfect for each other and made such a difference not in just their lives but others as well! This is definitely one of my faves so far for this year and I can't wait to see what else Abby knocks out of the park!
Insta-love, amnesia, escaping, perfection! Oh, and a coffee connoisseur as the hero, I think I fell in love with him at the moment as well! Jane just knows she is escaping something, and Shep doesn’t care what that is, she is his. They resist as best they can until they can uncover her past, and once that happens, all bets are off as they begin their forever 😊
A quick steamy romance about being lost in more ways than one but finding your heart, soul and home staring right back at you. A love story with a twist that will have you charmed and bewitched right to the very end. Just remember the calm in your storm can always be found in a great cup of coffee and this story is proof of that. 😉
How cute this story was. Yes it was an Insta love story and funny also. Great read especially when sleep is evading. I had to laugh quietly so not to wake anyone and enjoyed it very much.
I usually really enjoy this author but this one just didn’t feel like her. I just didn’t buy in to it at all and couldn’t connect with the characters. The male lead was a little bit weak for my taste. I did enjoy the h not being whiny.
Great book it held me in suspense when Jane lost her memory and then went to a total stranger and asked for help . I thought wow that takes a lot of courage to do that especially when your wearing a baby doll night gown and robe and then the true romance part great !!!! Great book Abby
A very sweet romantic read, when Jane realises she has no idea who she is where she is or what to do she walks into a coffee shop there her life changes in the form of the owner Shep.
I enjoyed reading this book. Quick little 2 hour read. You have Jane a woman you can't remember anything about her life. Shep is an amazing guy. A guy that knows what he wants. Shepherd's dad had me laughing. I would definitely read more by this author.
This has got to be one of the stupidest books I've ever read, and I've read some doozies. It's silly and juvenile, like a teenager's idea of romance and intrigue.
