As far as steamy novellas go, this one was pretty solid. Kinkier than most, but a good palate cleanser between the longer books.

A quick sweet and safe read. I loved it! I want more.
The story is about Kiernan and Helena.
She's rich, has a good family and company. but she's bored with her life. She wants a husband but she thinks because of her size, men won't want her so she signed up for the auction.
He grew up poor but he worked hard to pull his family out of the trailer park. After what happened to him years ago, he's now a scarred billionaire. He wants a wife and he thinks he's only option is the auction.
Both had self doubts but they made each other complete and happy. I loved how possessive they were to each other. His sad past made my heart hurt for him and it felt really good he found the one for him.
It has wonderful epilogues!

This is my first read by this author, it made me thought of the stories like the ones published under Fiona Davenport and Alexa Riley names.
With alpha males and obedient virgins, yet the obedient virgin in this short fast paced story despite her insecurities is not a so docile one.
Those two here are outcasts, she because she is overweight and he as he was left scarred after an arson.
In all it is a quick and enjoyable steamy read like I was expecting and looking for.

This was a quick, sweet and super sexy read. This is the story of two people who are filled with self doubt about themselves and going to extremes to find any kind of connection to someone. Through auction these two lost souls find a beautiful love they never thought they would have! Would really like to have read more about these two! I really loved Helena’s spunk and spirit!

This was wayyyyyy to short i wish it was longer.. there could have been so much more to tell.. plus i wanted to see Helena and Kiernan grow as a married couple... i did enjoy how possessive they are of one another.. i truly didn't believe Kiernan was the ugliest man alive... he said 80% of his body was burned. Parts of his face (nesr his beard) and the back of his hands.. but his girl Helena didnt even flinch or anything she found him drop dead gorgeous? Soo idk how "ugly" he was?

Terrible language
Gutter language in the first pages and appears to have a sordid story line. I did not read any more. Disgusting and other reviews did not reveal the language.

Helena and Kiernan
Christmas Auction is a super short, cute holiday read. Like really short with no room for any real kind of delevopment, however, it is only meant to be a holiday novella. Helena, for some reason decides that she wants to get married. Tired of being the fat girl all alone with her virginity intact she decides to sign up for a marriage auction. Kiernan, also tired of being alone because of the scars that cover his body also wants a wife and decides to go to the auction to find himself one. They are immediately drawn to eachother and the rest is a very short history. I'm sorry, I'm stressing on the shortness of this book, but i honestly didn't expect it to be as short as it was. While it was a cute read, i think it might have been too short. Both H and h are virgins so the little bit of ow drama that there was wasn't needed. Kind of like the stereotypical waitress but with a flight attendant. While there is an epilogue i dont feel that it really added anything to the story only to show that the couple did have a HEA. My personal issues with the book is with authors writing about plus sized women and giving them such a complex that they feel that they can't be loved. Her family never made her feel that because of her size that she was unworthy of love, so I don't understand where that came from. As i keep stressing it is a a very short book so we aren't privy to why the h felt that way. Besides the fact that the auction is on Christmas day there wasn't anything Chrsitmassy about it. The story was well written and it was a good storyline.
I would recommend if you are looking to get lost for a short while.

Sweet but needs a little editing
What I didn't like -
Some of the wording didn't quite right. It was either awkward or felt like something was missing that would have made it make more sense.
There were punctuation mistakes and word tense/form issues. Not a lot, but too many for a book this short and really too many for any published book. It should be all edited out before publication.
What I liked -
I really liked her weight. That might seem crazy, but I have read books in which the main woman character was described as extra curvy or overweight and was like 150 pounds or a weight wouldn't be mentioned, but she'd wear a size 10 or 12. That's not right and is part of the problem that makes healthy beautiful women think they're fat or unattractive. I've known many women over 200 pounds who were very pretty, and I'm so glad this book had a heroine who was truly very curvy snd not supposedly overweight in a size 12. I'm so glad she was over 200 pounds. This is realistic, and I think books like this like help prove that beauty and being desired doesn't stop once you're over a certain weight that someone decided we should be.
I loved that they were both virgins. Very rare these days in real life or in books and probably unrealistic, but I think it was super sweet and wish more books were like this. I wish more people in real life were like that.
Overall, it was a very sweet and enjoyable book.It was very unrealistic, but it was a nice change from a lot of "romance"books published these days. I hope this author has more books or writes more with the same great aspects of this book that I like.

This was a very steamy fast-paced Christmas story that I highly enjoyed. I loved the storyline and the characters. Helena was a bit possessive female and I freaking loved it!! She didn't let anyone stand in her way of her husband. Kiernan, made my heart hurt for him with his sad past but it just made me fall in love with his character even more. Gave this author a second chance after not really enjoying my first try. This book review comments include ‘high steam’ which I was missing in the first book. Overall this story was super fast insta love with literally no drama and no story. I actually found the story super cute and sweet. The heroine is selling off her virginity & hand in marriage (apparently she’s very wealthy so I didn’t understand why, other than she couldn’t find a man on her own, because…she’s overweight? Hmm.. that’s just a sad thought, and way to see the world). Not sure why our guy was buying a bride either since he is also rich & seems to have women throwing themselves at him. He was sadly, a burn victim, so perhaps that is why this 30-something year old mega muscle, super rich stud is still a Virgin (whaaaaattt? If so this is a very sad world view that imperfection means lifelong dateless virginity).
Nonsense storyline aside, these two were a cute couple who finally found love & happiness with each other. Similar to the authors first book that I tried, this was pretty low steam. Well actually the bulk of the book is them having sex. Just in a low steam type way. Yup that doesn’t make sense either. There is sex. It’s not totally clean sex either. BUT.. it’s also no where near the level of steam I like in my insta love quick reads. That sounds like it’s just my problem, so if you want cute & fast with zero angst & a TINY bit of steam this might be perfect for you.

So why not be incredibly impulsive on Christmas and sign up for a wife auction. Kiernan spots Helena on stage and it is magic. He will stop at nothing to possess her. When Helena sees the man who won her hand, she wants to pinch herself. How lucky can one girl get?
M.K. Moore knows how to wrap up a late Christmas present for fans of safe, sweet, hot romances! Helena is a fun character, smart and fun just hasn't had any opportunities to meet someone. She takes the opportunity the Christmas auction presents to change the course of her life. Kiernan doesn't expect to spot the perfect woman at the auction. He hasn't been a perfect guy but he has good reasons for his drive and ambition. The two of them are magic together! The time I spent with these characters passed way too fast. I could happily have spent several hours watching their lives blossom now that they have found their soul mate! 5 stars for the sweetness that is Christmas Auction!

Christmas auction is book one in the owned series. This story is short, fast paced and sweet. I devoured this book in one sitting and was left wanting more. I wish that this book were longer! I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline sweet. Helena is bored with her life. She is rich; she has a good job and a loving family. What she truly wants is a man to love her for whom she is. Kiernan is a scarred billionaire. When he sees Helena at the auction, he knows that she is his. She is the one for him!
The chemistry between Helena and Kiernan was instant. The connection between them was clear to see and I loved them as a couple. I loved that Helena didn’t care about Kiernan’s scars. She saw more than the scars and loved him for who he was. I loved that Kiernan was determined to get Helena to see how beautiful she truly was. Overall, I enjoyed this short story and I cannot wait for more books from MK Moore and more from the owned series.

I fell in love with this book the minute he opened his mouth. The minute he said MINE as I was done.
Helena is a curvy girl who has everything except for what she really wants and tonight she is about to change that once and for all.

Kiernan didn’t really want to be here, but the moment she walked into the stage he was t leaving without her. When it becomes a bidding war between him and another person he cannot stand, he finally wins and now nothing will stop him from claiming his future wife.
The instant chemistry between these two will knock the socks off of you and have you reaching for the fan to cool you down.

Helena and Kiernan's story was a fast paced, intense, steamy as hell and super sexy short read, written by the amazing author, M.K. Moore :)
This short read was definitely an excellent start to a new series in this new year and I'm already very excited to see what's in store for us next from this incredible author!
Now, this story guys, well it's also beautiful because it portrays that you don't have to beautiful in what society deems fit, for true love to find you. It also shows that even when you doubt yourself, something like fate or in this case ;) putting yourself up for auction (fiction guys, ha, ha) can lead to the love of your life, like it happened to our beloved couple, Helena and her man, Kiernan ;) <3
This was truly another excellent story and the ending was as always, AMAZING! Kiernan and his woman, Helena's happily ever after was beautiful, funny, passionate but above all, filled with immense love; the love we all hope to find one day too ;) <3

Sweet quick tale on a girl betting on love. If you found the one (or at least you thought you were), why wait for forever? Though personally, I think forever is overrated, but this book of instalove was everything about going with your guts and being right. The best decision on when to let yourself loose and embrace who you were (and are), as well as accepting on your partner(s) and always love him (or them. I dont judge) for whoever he (or them) was (were, is, and are). I feel a bit romantic today! So i'll spare everyone on the plot or twist of the novel, and just enjoy the beauty of short-smutty-but-not-slutty insta love novella!!

Short sweet read
I loved this book. It's very short, but I loved the Insta love and how outwardly they seemed to be unattractive but were gorgeous to each other. I'm the story the H describes himself as a ahole, but I didn't see that. He was so sweet and possessive of his woman. I totally recommend this for a quick lunch break or before bed read to really make you feel good and put a smile on your face.

Owned for Christmas
Loved this Christmas read from MK. Helana and Kiernan never believed that they would find love on their own. So with the help of a Christmas Auction for a Bride each one participated in hopes of finally finding a companion. Neither one of them expected finding an attraction or the connection that they’ve found. They were truly meant to be. I truly loved this unexpected love story!!
