So, I purchased this book mainly for the gut health portion which was over 100 pages of information I either learned from sister Regina Louise in my high school science class or information I never knew it all. Truly fascinating and quite informative. The way the body works is just mesmerizing! I highly recommend this book for anybody - whether you think you have gut health issues or you do not. Why? You don’t have to have symptoms to have gut health issues.
The recipe portion I didn’t expect a whole lot from since I choose to eat a vegan diet. This was not a vegan only book. But I was wrong. There were some good accidental vegan recipes such as the Thai Vegetable Curry and Roasted Eggplant. There were also some good non-vegan recipes that I can adapt to suit my taste. For instance, the sweet chicken curry which called for shredded cooked chicken I will just substitute shredded jackfruit.
There is a useful appendix of additional resources after the recipes. There is also a nice glossary. Wonderfully formatted book!
