This book contains some LGBT themes. When I read the first chapter of this book I thought the heroine was a fool. And, I continued thinking the heroine was a fool throughout the entire book. The whole plot revolves around a gaming tournament. This book really just centered around the heroine's best friend. I'm not sure what this was honestly. The heroine had 3 male mates but was making out with her best friend. Overall, I really disliked this. 1.5 stars.

Meet Lola an avid gamer that is gearing up for an upcoming tournament of her favorite game. As a dragon she is destined to find her three mates some day but she resists due to her BFF being different and not wanting to leave her alone. Unfortunately her opinion does not matter when it comes to fate so when she meets three guys at the tournament her life will be forever changed. We get an extra mate as well which is just awesome and outside the norm for their world. This leads to some challenges a they try to work things out. Great world building filled with interesting characters that you can relate to while enjoying the story. Great for fans of fantasy poly type relationship books. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

First of all, the cover is gorgeous! I absolutely love it! This story was so amazing. I was instantly drawn into the world and wanted to just stay there. There are dragons and online games. Where could one go wrong? I didn't want to come out of the world quite frankly. My only critique is that it was too short! I know there are a few other books in the series, but still. I also wish the whole dragon heritage was explained in more detail. But maybe it will in the next books.

The characters were pretty amazing. I feel like I got to know Lola and Rachel the most in the book, but I have a strong feeling I'll get to know the three men as the series progresses. I totally ship Lola and Rachel though. It was so beautiful. I want a relationship like that. The closeness of best friends and the love of lovers! Where can you go wrong?

The narrator was pretty fantastic as well. The accent was so adorable. I'm not sure if I've listened to other books by her in the past, but I can assure you that I plan to listen to more. Not including the next two for this book. She has a lot of talent. I could see her becoming one of my top favorites.

There's a chance that I'll eventually feel that maybe all three of these books could have been condensed into one books. That won't happen until after I've read all three books. Either way, the story is wonderful. I have loved it from the first page! Can't wait to read more.

Fifth Soul by Arizona Tape and Laura Greenwood is a slow burn reverse harem paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Susan Greenway.

I absolutely love Arizona and Laura’s books! Their books usually leave me with a smile on my face. I really enjoyed the slow burn relationship between Lola and her four mates. I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Fifth Round to get more of their story.

Susan did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you love paranormal romances, reverse harems, or slow burn romances.

I loved this. Lola was fantastic and I love her men and Rachel. There was a lot of humour within this book, I laughed out loud at parts. It moved along quickly and kept me hooked with the banter and sweet romance.

I listened to the audio version. I love Susan Greenway's voice and she did a good job portraying Lola and Rachel. Her male voices weren't as strong though. Overall, I enjoyed her narration.

I enjoyed listening to this book by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape! I thought Lola's antics were funny and had me giggling and Susan Greenway did a good job getting into character for the majority of the time. I think she could have improved her male voices and sometimes she got a little too whiney for me, so I couldn't give her 4 or 5 stars like I would have wanted to. I think if she continues as the narrator for Book 2 that is coming out soon in the next couple months, then she would need to work on her male voices and distinguishing them more. I actually think her best portrayal was Rachel.

I originally was thinking of a 3.5 stars for the story because I was under the impression this was a standalone and was not happy Laura and Arizona left us at that stage in their relationship without going further. Now that I know there is a follow-up story, I was happy to give it a 4 star rating. I think the one piece of advice I would give it some of the phrases were repetitive, most of the time when Lola was talking to herself. I would have tried to space them out more or pick and choose where to do it. I understand why it was done that way, it just took away from the story a little because it felt like she was second guessing almost every other page. Besides that, I loved this story. I love the woman in the harem, I think Rachel and Lola's relationship was my favorite out of the 4. I hope we get to see more of Todd and Lola interacting in the next book and Hector and Lola take their relationship to the next level (also with Martin!!). This story was cute and funny, and loooooved the game referencing. I cant wait to catch up on the other stories from this same universe and get my hands on the 5's next story 😊

Writing was fine, story was fairly meh

The writing was fine, there were no typos but there was also no drama. All the way through the book there was all this build up to no one accepting their mating, but nothing came of it. They said that covering her mating mark would affect her and it never did. There were no antagonists, and little character development, all of which made the plot really dry

Gaming Dragons…? Totally awesome!!

I’d actually read a preview of this after reading Torn Soul, another book set in the Twin Souls Universe. So it was a bit awkward reading again through drunk Lola’s antics, although it was nice to have some context to it finally.

Lola is running away from everything to do with Fire Dragon tradition. Fated Mates, Mating Ceremonies, she wants none of it. But what she does want is to support her friend, a misfit who’s been outcast by the Fire Dragon community, and gaming. She loves gaming! Unfortunately for her, gaming appears to bring along the very things she’s been avoiding most of her life…

I loved the interaction between the characters, and all the gaming elements in it (I was an “almost” gamer at one point, but never quite got into it seriously). Lola cares about her mates once she finds them, all of them, and truly does try her best to please them all. In the end, everything works out for them. But it appears to have gained them a few frowns from the Fire Dragon community… I’m looking forward to the next book and finding out what happens!

Final rating: ★★★★☆ – Really liked

Lola knows that she has three mates that are fated to her. Her friend does not because she is an outcast because she was a white dragon without clear heritage. There are three different types of dragon shifters, fire, water, and earth. Lola is a fire dragon shifter and has a mark that is only one quarter of a picture waiting for her mates to complete the picture. How could she be mated when her best friend , Rachel, can not. She vows to stay single and has her mark covered with a tattoo. She goes to a gaming tournament and finds more than she bargained for.

This is a paranormal reverse harem set in the Twin Souls Universe and co-authored by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape. It is a wonderful romance between multiple characters. While some matings fit into the traditional role, Lola defies tradition. I really enjoyed the unconditional love between the characters and how they learn to accept each other. This book is about breaking rules to find what makes you happy. It is well written, the narrative is excellent and the dialogue is great. I look forward to reading more from the Twin Souls Universe.

Lola is a fire dragon who has a mate mark and is aware that she is destined to find her 3 fated mates. Her friend Rachel is an outcast, a white dragon. Lola won’t mate when Rachel cannot! Torn between loyalty to her best friend and to the pressing need to seek her mates, she chooses to ignore that search for her mates and instead, as an avid gamer, heads to a gaming tournament for distraction. She had hidden her mating mark with a tattoo, yet it did not let her ignore the three fellow gamer guys at the tournament that smelled so delicious to her.

Lola has found her three mates and is having a hard time fighting her instincts -- she cannot avoid the mating and must allow her destiny to continue. But this mating bond is different. Her relationships deepen and this isn't going to turn out to be the anticipated foursome among the fire dragons. This time, there is a “fifth soul” added to the mix, an unexpected mate.

This reverse harem story is an intriguing unexpected mix among multiple characters. The characters were strong enough to go against traditional expectations and change the rules to find their happiness. Grab your copy and share their efforts to go where Fate leads them.

This book received a 1 star because I stopped reading it around chapter 12
The plot of this was.... okay sounding. Not ground breaking or even that different but just okay. The execution not so good.
The main character Lola seems to have a good heart at the start of the story. She feels bad that her friend Rachel won't ever find love or be able to have babies. That kind of selfless, throw myself on the blade kind of attitude that makes her sound noble is quick to vanish. Lola becomes a self centered, the world revolves around me, kind of character and by chapter 12 has everything handed to.
There is no real conflict. It's all surface level problems that are resolved in a way that works out for selfish Lola. She gets everything she wants with no troubles and her increasingly annoying petulant attitude becomes unbearable before the book even has a chance to conclude.
I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone looking for well rounded, heartfelt characters or anyone who enjoys seeing characters struggle and work for the "happy ending" the get to.

A light and short book. The “fated mates” thing acts as a crutch to have Lola and Rachel move in with the guys, saving up on actual relationship building – which does happen later, but I admit it doesn’t feel like enough. Besides Rachel, none of Lola’s interactions with her mates feel anywhere near romantic enough to justify an eternal bond. Fingers crossed the next book improves on this.

The narrator’s delivery was distractingly flat. There was no attempt to give any of the characters a distinctive voice, which made some scenes confusing since everyone sounds the same. For example, there’s a scene where Lola’s drunk and searching for Rachel – but because everyone sounds the same, I wasn’t sure she had found Rachel or had drunkenly mistaken a guy for her. I can’t say it was a bad narration, but I’d be lying if I said I enjoyed it, either. But like the plot, I am hoping this, too, improves with the next book.

This is a cute, short poly listen. It does include LGBT themes, which I wasn't aware of, but was pleasantly surprised! Here's my reasoning for the 3-star. I DID like it...but...the story follows a VERY socially awkward character. Usually I don't mind that, because I am as well...but this was a bit over the top. It is also very short and the plot seems rushed. Since these are so short, I love dragon shifters, and I love the premise, I am going to listen on hoping the plot becomes a bit more developed.

I give the narrator 4/5. I am in the US, so UK narrators aren't always easy to understand, but Susan does a great job! She's pleasant to listen to and easy to understand. I also feel like she brings this socially awkward character and her fellow characters to life well. I'd definitely listen to her again!

Lola is a gamer who has given up on her heritage because in her heart she's always known she could never give up her BFF Rachel for a bunch of males. But when she goes to the tavern Dragon Soul for a tournament, her birth tattoo won't let her deny the three fellow gamer guys that smell absolutely delicious. While they were growing up, Rachel was too 'different' from the other fire dragons to be considered mate material. But Nature will show, this mating bond isn't going to be the usual foursome among their species. It includes a unique fifth soul.

Fires of love burn too hot in Lola for any obstacle to heart's path not to melt away. Despite the uninhibited dragon behaviors, the amatory action remains suitable for Young Adult readers.

Well this was a great book to read but I was a bit confused as to whether this was book one or two. The cover shows book 2 but on other sites it is listed as one. Other than that, this book was amazing and emotional. The story is deep and you feel connected to the main character. Lola does not want to mated due to her friend Rachel being shunned. However, this relationship quickly deepens and new feelings are finally brought out. The same time Lola also stumbles upon her three mates and is having a hard time refusing them. She also quickly discovers that she cannot stay unmated. So then she accepts her fate and lets it go where it needs to. This book was a quick and cute to read.

This audiobook was excellent. It was so much fun and so sweet. It's not the normal kind of book that I would like in some ways, but I loved it! I guess you could consider this a reverse harem type of book. Usually those books are full of crazy sex scenes. But this one was different and it was kind of refreshing. I go back and forth in my feelings about Lola though. Sometimes I loved her and sometimes I found her a little on the annoying side. But the story is fabulous and so funny! I found myself laughing out loud a lot. And the narrator was AMAZING. She really brought this story to life. Overall, I am a huge fan and I look forward to reading/listening to more.

The British accent that Susan Greenway used for the the characters really tickled me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved this story, from the characters to the setting to the storyline itself. The world they inhabit is intriguing, and although we didn't get too deep into it I am hooked. I love that it's set around gaming, and although this is quite a big part of the story it's not off-putting if you don't like gaming. My biggest disappointment is that it was over too quickly! It flew past and I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next...

This is a new to me author and this book was recommended to me so I took a chance and grabbed it up and I am pleased that I did. Now when I think of PNR and at the very least Reverse Harem I go to more of a erotic and hot, steamy read but this is not that at all. This is a fun, clean book about dragon shifters who are set to mate 1 female to 3 males except for Lola who find out she has a 4th. If you want a fun short light read this is perfect and yes I do recommend this book.

This was a really good start to a new series! Lola is a fire dragon shifter and is destined to have three mates. She is fiercely loyal to her best friend Rachel and refuses to mate so she doesn’t leave her best friend alone and isolated. Once Lola meets her mates, Hector, Martin, and Todd, the undeniable chemistry between them changes everything. I really enjoyed Lola and Rachel’s personalities and how they were so different from each other. I haven’t read many dragon shifter books or gamer books and I felt like this was very well written.
Susan did a great job with this narration! It was a refreshing change from Laura’s other narrators and I really appreciated a deeper female voice that fit Lola and Rachel perfectly and brought them to life. I loved Susan’s accent and her voice flowed flawlessly between characters.

The story was interesting and well written. The characters were beautifully developed and had great personalities. The one thing I wasn’t crazy about was that it seemed more female with female relationship than with the males. We didn’t get to learn as much about them as I would have liked. Otherwise, it was a great story and very interesting to read.

Fifth Soul by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape is a story about a dragoness named Lola who tries to avoid getting caught up in a multiple dragon. This story has a few unexpected twists that make it lots of fun to read. Its sweet without being sappy. After lots of compromise Lola ends up with an unusual but perfect for her happy ever after ending. This is a fun, light read that I really enjoyed. Fifth Soul is a sweet multiple dragon mate story.

Gamer dragons, and fated mates with a twist. It’s an interesting premise, but the book falls short. There’s some humor, and the characters are sweet, but the entire book is them meeting and easily coming together. That’s it. There’s no conflict, no obstacles to overcome, no other plot lines to add interest. If you just want an easy-to-read HEA, this might be a great fit.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book.

Going into this shorter listen, I didnt really know what I was getting into as the universe is new to me. I thought this was a fun listen. It moved pretty quickly and Lola was pretty quirky. There is some humor in this sweet paranormal romance. I like the style and the characters were interesting (from the little we know about them), I would happily read more from this universe.

The narrator gave an excellent performance!

This is the first RH story in the Twin Souls universe. I first read this story in the Realms& Rebels anthology. I like Lola. She is is willing to fight for what she wants, and doesn’t want to have to rely on fate. She wants to make her own choices and life, even to go so far as to try to cover her mating mark. She is torn between 3 gamers and her best friend. It is a great story.

This story was not my cup of tea because of the FF and the heroine was more butch in personality. The first 10 chapters were about not wanting mates and all about being with her girlfriend. Plus a whole bunch of video game details I didn't need. The narrator had a weird type of accent and I didn't care for the voices. It is probably a better fit for the YA crowd.

This book is kinda cute. There is not a lot of character development and Lola is the only one we get to know. This is the first in a series but it ends on a happy for now so you don’t feel it necessary to buy the next one. The writing is as good as I have come to expect from these two authors.

hot book. Lola swore, that she will never mate becouse her friend can´t mate.
What she never imagined is that she will recived more than she bargained.
In the game tournament she not only find her three hot mates, bud she discovered, that her best friend is her mate too. What a scandal??? Or not??
