“Zack Zombie” is the pen name for the writing team of William Peña and his son Matthew Peña.

When Zack, his family, and his friends go for a family reunion, he and his friends get separated from the others! They have to spend time tripping, slipping, and falling in the desert. They meet some old guys along the way who kept on saying "HOOOOOOORRRRAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Eventually, they found their way, but they almost got squashed by tons of rock when they were under the reunion. Good thing other mobs found them!

This book is about a zombie named zombie. He goes with his parents to a family reunion. But on the way the train stops so they can get fresh air and then when they were coming in the little brother wezly took the pin out of what keeps the train together and so they finally notice that the train is not moving and so they hop out of the train and start to wander around. While that was happening the sun was coming up so they had to hide in a cave. They get stuck in the cave, but in the end they finally find their family.

In the book he learns not to trust strangers. A stranger gives him directions and tells him to go through a town. When he goes to the town he gets kidnapped and put in Jail. In the book the he learns to like his brother. The zombie did not like his little brother wezly. He thought that wezly was just an annoying person. But in the end wezly saves him. He gets to know wezly better and loves him.

I liked this book because it had a lot of adventure. The zombie was about my age. I liked when they went on a ride in the minecart through a tunnel. I liked that he had a girlfriend named Sally. I liked that there was danger but they got out safely.

Zack Zombie was going to have a family reunion but Zack Zombie's little brother pulled something and all the other mine cart train left Zack Zombie there. They got lost. Later in the story they found something really interesting but every time they made a loud sound the cave collapsed in. Will the zombies have a family reunion or will they have to miss their family reunion...?
