Johnny Moore watched as the amazing airplane moved along the track. Will and Orv is a historical fiction book about the Wright brothers and their first time ever flying a plane. In this book, the story is told from the perspective of little boy is admires Will and Orv and their work. The little boy cared about these 2 guys and he never wanted anything to happen to them. When Will and Orv finally built an engine, the little boy was so happy for them. When Will and Orv were able to get the plane off the ground the little boy was one of the first witnesses to ever see a plane fly from the ground.

I liked this book because of the curosity the little boy shows through out the book. He is always trying to go down to the beach and see Will and Orv fly the plane. I also like this book because the pictures in the book for the time it was written are outstanding. As the water color pictures depict perfectly with what is happening in the story.

I would have this in my classroom because it tells the story of the Wright Brothers, as it is not a perfect reprensentation of the story, but it gives the gist with a twist from the authors perspective. This is also a short and quick read and I think kids would enjoy it.

This children's book was short and sweet. Though short, it provided brief and necessary history on the Wright brothers and their journey flying the first airplane. This book has vivid and interesting illustrations that are sure to keep children engaged and interested in the text. For an interactive read-aloud, this book would fit perfectly. "Will and Orv" is inspiring and is surely to encourage students to follow their dreams and work hard to achieve the things they have only dreamt about. This book also offers a wide range of different emotions, from excitement to disappointment, and would be a great book to incorporate into a lesson about feelings or dreams in a lower elementary level class

Walter Schulz tells the story of Wilbur and Orville Wright from an interesting perspective. This story is told through the eyes of of a young boy who is sharing in their flying attempts. It is an interesting look at a real event. It is a nonfiction story with a fictional character. Great for young readers to relate to.
