5 Mistletoe Stars!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️

Now, it’s been a long time since I’ve read a book and I think that’s partially because I’m writing a novel myself but also I think I was in a reading slump.
You all know how that feels!
I consider this author as being a very close friend of mine because she has helped me with my own series and I can’t thank her enough! She’s amazing ♥️

I’ll admit that I got hooked from the very first page! And a lot of you know that doesn’t happen with me. That first page is so important because if I don’t get dragged into the story from that very first page then it’s very likely that I’ll not read it.
But I was so surprised with what I read from the first page that I couldn’t stop reading. I literally stopped reading when the book ended. I wanted more...

So, our two main characters in the book are Sunday Merkwood and Jamie Tepes.
Sunday works in a club, as a waiter. She’s in her final year at school but she needs to save money for college.
Jamie, is a vampire. A young Dracula.
Sunday’s been evading Jamie for two years, but she decides to give him a chance when he offers her a deal that she can’t refuse.

This is a short but a steamy read by a very close friend of mine! If you have the time, please check out her books because she is an incredible author!

5 STARS!

One of the best series I've read in a while.
After reading part 1, I was desperate to read part 2 and I'm so glad this lovely person gave me a copy because I was not disappointed. Thank you so much!
This short series is about a mistletoe and a drac. A truly captivating story.
It's been such a fun read and I don't know whether it's because I'm starting to enjoy really short stories or it's simply because this author's writing is so incredibly written....I think it's the latter. She's an absolutely amazing author with a fantastic writing style, and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend.
Please read this book because this author is just amazing!!!!!

Read for April Reading Sprint-2019 in Buddy Reads.

"It started with a boy."
"Doesn’t it usually start with a ‘boy’ or a ‘girl’."

Jamie (a Dracula) has been crushing over Sunday (a Mistletoe) for two years ever since he first saw her, and even though Sunday likes him (a lot)), she never thinks about them being a possibility what with the hostile history between their lineages and ‘forever’ not being an option for her until one day she agrees to a crazy deal with him.

This agreement is a bad, bad... bad idea! But I can't say I'm going to hate it.

Sunday agrees to a date with Jamie if he wins a hand at cards and Jamie agrees to be a gentleman on that date with the bonus of the much-needed money for Sunday’s college tuition. Obviously, he wins.

"I'm glad you came but you can backout of this whole thing. I won't hold it against you."

And as you can guess, things speed up after that until Sunday’s parents inform her of a magical bond they set up between Sunday and her childhood friend Radian that’ll force them into a love relationship. As far as love triangles go, this was rather fun :)

I take a moment to catch up with my fast, beating heart.
Treacherous heart.

This was super short and super sweet and lovely (also a little steamy). The writing is so good, and you immediately get into the story. I was so in love with Jamie after just a couple of lines. Sunday is kinda relatable and she isn’t scared easily. I like her. Radian was awesome. A very good and caring guy.

The best thing about this world is the diverse characters and the amazing new world. We got Faes/Fairies, Mistletoes, Draculas, Vampires (who are so different from Dracs), Witches, Lycanthropes and what not, and every species has its own special powers and a different place in the social hierarchy. You and I, and all the other humans are sadly extinct though. Let’s not be sad about that. R. Kiit just mixes it all. I love her imagination and how she tangles it all up and jams it into just a handful of pages. Really cool and impressive.

There is an almost unexpected cliff-hanger at the end that makes you wanna beg the writer for another arc. I had forgotten about that and so much else since my first read.

Highly recommended.

*The ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.*

My Review for both parts on first read and separately: Mistletoe Red and Mistletoe Black.

Review for books 1 and 2

I was so excited to read this story but I was waiting for this second book first. The story is about Jamie and Sunday. It's about a dracula and a mistletoe and it's so good! There's a time I thought about R. Kitt asking myself how will she make that situation work. I continued reading the story and everything was explained.

They're relationship was complicated but it all worked out in the end. Also with a little help from someone so cute.

It has an epilogue.

Mistletoe Black (Dracula's Mistletoe #2) by R. Kitt continues the story about the couple, a mistletoe and a drac. But a bond is interfering in this couple's life. Turning the magic girl to a drac would snap the bond and help the couple live happily ever after, or it should have. But something went very wrong! Very exciting!!! This is a book I requested and the review is voluntary. Great plot and characters with great sneaky twists and surprises. Loved it.

Wow! Such an imagination! This is a terrific start to the story. The world is very original, and even though all the characters are supernatural, a teenager is a teenager and their problems are relatable. Can’t wait to start part two. Would love to find out more about the Mistletoes.

5 HUGE Mistletoe stars!

This woman is such a fantastic author. Her writing is so inspiring and so entrancing that from the very first page, I couldn't put it down.
I read this a while ago, but recently read it again because she's kindly given me the second book! (After reading this book, I haven't stopped pestering her to give me the next installment!) And she did! Thank you so much lovely <3

So, my review!
This was such a fun and light read that I finished it within a day. I knew from the moment I had come to the end that this series will definitely be one of my favorites. There are no words to describe R.Kitt's way of writing, other than it draws you in from the very beginning. She has such an incredible imagination that I can't fault this book at all.

This is a story or should I say, a forbidden love story between two very different species. We have James, who is a Dracula and Sunday who is a mistletoe. Jamie's been keeping his sights on his classmate, Sunday for two whole years, but she's shot down his romantic advances because her parents would never allow them to be together.

This book was short, fast-paced but a very hot read. I enjoyed every second of it!
Pick up this book NOW!

This is a really short love story between a young Dracula and Miss Mistletoe. SO ADORABLE!

description

"Sunday, you would never be a last resort. Ever. My power for lust and your power for love.....can't you get with me already! I've been after you for two years and you're still cold-blocking me."

Aww. Can you please look at that. Impatient, aren't you? Two years is nothing for a dracula Jamie ;)

The hero has been pursuing the heroine since he first laid his eyes on her and all hell break loose. He needs the girl to be his queen, to be his love, to be his eternity.

description

Sunday is not buying any of his advances. As a mistletoe, she is nowhere on the same level with the young dracula. In fact, their families had a bad blood from the past and Sunday is staying the f away from Jamie - though she is actually attracted to the good looking Dracula.

A game of cards.

"If I win you go on a date with me, and get the thirty grand."

Being a Dracula, he has fame, power and old-money and he's using it to its full use to get the girl of his dream. Sunday is having financial issues and she needs the money to continue her studies, but going on a date with a villain of the history? Not a chance.....or is it?

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I don't normally read paranormal/fantasy books with elves, vampires and whatnot. I gave in and I can say, I am utterly surprised at how smooth the writing is, loveable characters and Jaime......sigh.....such a perfect gentleman. He's so desperate to get Sunday and I'm cheering and rooting for the guy! His POV is really interesting and I can see how genuine his feelings towards Sunday.

Can't wait for book 2! I wonder if Jaime will be 21, and he will unstoppable with his power!

Mistletoe Red (Dracula's Mistletoe #1) by R. Kitt is a book I requested and the review it voluntary. This book has great imagination! Vamps, draculas, (not the same here), touch of magic, sexy time, kids growing up, and strange traditions. Great story and it gets hot! Loved it! Loved the characters and the freshness of it!

“You’ll get bored of the chase, Jamie.”

This was not what I expected! I knew that the story involved Dracula or Vampires or something, but usually you see a them fall in love with a human and I really thought Sunday was human but turned out she was a Mistletoe! And HUMANS??

Well, they are no more!
Yes, you and I are dead!

I loved it from the very start. It dragged me in and left me wanting for more. So, Jamie: Powerful-Dracula, Rich, Handsome and Persistent Jamie has been obsessed with Sunday Merkwood ever since he laid his eyes on her, but Sunday is hard to get especially considering the fact that they are so different and also owing to their history as old enemies! And because she knows that he is just trouble. She ignores all flirting comments and efforts for two years but he just doesn’t give up! Now Sunday needs money to get to college and James offers her that if she plays a game of cards with him. She wins-she gets the money and no more Jamie stalking her, she losses- she gets the money but she’d have to go on a date with Jamie. Seems like a date which wouldn’t hurt her, after all it’s only one date and that too if she losses!!

“Trust me or not, you get something
out of this whichever way you choose.”

It’s a sweet and steamy read. I loved the imagination of the author with different types of species – all once related to humans. The difference between Dracs and Vampires was cool too. Jamie was sweet in the way he was always eager to show Sunday that she really meant something to him and he was never going to be tired of loving her. I really rooted them :)

Thanks R. Kitt for the copy :)

Jamie and Sunday met each other a few years ago. They have a crush on each other and Jamie flirts a little bit with Sunday, but nothing happened between them until one night. Sunday is working at a bar when Jamie is determined to convince Sunday to finally go out on a date with him. He finally succeeds. Their date may not go perfectly, but it’s the start of their relationship.

Mistletoe Red is a short, fast paced, sweet and hot read. I really liked this book. I liked Jamie and Sunday. Sunday is a mistletoe and Jamie is a dracula. Their love is forbidden, but they can’t fight against their feelings anymore. Their love is strong. They want to be together and no one or nothing can stop them from being together. I just missed some information about them and their past to make me really know them and to understand their attraction. I hope to know them better in Mistletoe Black.

That would be a cruel twist of fate.
Wow! R.Kitt sure knows how to put her characters through the wringer.

Sunday and Jamie's story takes all kinds of dark twists and turns in this installment. And with the addition of Radian Thistle (who I loved!), their impossible situation becomes even more complicated.

It's too bad this is only novella length. I really wished I could have gotten a better feel for the emotions - the frustration, the heartbreak, the joy - behind the crazy events that take place.

This author really has an amazing imagination, and I'm excited to read Radian's story!

Mistletoe Black is the continuation (and conclusion) of Jamie and Sunday’s love story that started in Mistletoe Red. That book didn’t end with a cliffhanger, but I did hope for more of their story. I loved this part more than the previous one. It was a fast paced, romantic, unique and sweet novella. There were some twists and turns. I only have one little problem with this novella and that would be that I sometimes was confused at the start of a chapter.

This novella started with a chapter told from Radian’s point of view and that I didn’t expect that. It soon became clear why it did start that way. Mistletoes are destined to marry someone and that someone is known from birth. Radian is destined to be with Sunday. He likes her, but he knows that she isn’t available. Sunday is still very much in love with Jamie. She wants to be with him forever and not with anyone else. Jamie is very protective and loving. Sunday and Jamie are a loyal, strong couple. They belong together. They will have a beautiful happily ever after.

I’m liking the mistletoes and draculas, so I won’t mind if the author should decide to write more books about this world. I definitely want a book about Radian. I liked him and after that last chapter I need more.

Fun short read

Well different comes to mind but in a good way. It's a fun story set when their are no humans left just supernatural beings. For those who will ask it's M/F but entertaining.

Sort off a Romeo and Juliet without the suicide. But definitely feuding houses and discrimination. Seems even supernatural beings like to discriminate.

It's a short story. Fun to read. Definitely one to pick up. Give it a go. Not even an hour long and on KU. Enjoy!

So much wonderful imagination!

Wow! R.Kitt has managed to put a very fresh and imaginative spin on a tried-and-true tale of teenage love! Mistletoe Red had a great Romeo and Juliet feel to it.

Jamie Tepes knows what he wants, and her name is Sunday Merkwood.
"Why would I keep looking for something I've already found?"
Sunday's not quite so sure...
Jamie is a dracula, and with that simple truth comes all of the alluring qualities: he can read minds if he chooses, he can manipulate thoughts, he can . . .
It's all just a bit much for her. Plus, there's the bad history between their families.

There was a sweet tone to this novella; Jamie's dedication to Sunday was heartwarming. But running just under the surface, there was also a very definite sharp edge to what was going on. In this world, humans are extinct and the world is now inhabited by magical beings of all kinds; vampires, fairies, werewolves, . . . and mistletoes, like Sunday, who, like most teenage girls is trying to figure herself out.

I'm off to see how the story ends...
She's perfection. She's my mistletoe.

So, I never thought I’d like Radian but I definitely do!
This was idk confusing, sweet, full of jealousy, a few little fights, then epic love, followed by terrible terrible things which I didn’t expect at all. Especially the terrible part!
This starts with Radian’s side of the story and what he thinks about his betrothal with Sunday. They’re all 21 now so everything is different. All three of them are in the same college and all are equally confused in their own way. Sunday’s connection with Radian intensified ever since she turned nineteen and Jamie is worried that he’d lose the girl eventually so he lashes out every time Radian tries to do something sweet for Sunday. Radian doesn’t love Sunday but he doesn’t have control over his thoughts anymore and that annoys him. Sunday definitely want to be with Jamie and she is really clear on it with Radian from the very start, but she can’t figure out a way to deal with Jamie with all his jealousy and insecurity.
P.S. Sunday and Radian can listen each other’s thoughts and can even see visions at times which is just great to keep the things fun!

Thanks R. Kitt for your awesome novella :)

Sunday is a high school senior who wants to go to college, she is also a Mistletoe (magical beings that are about making love happen). Jamie is also a high school senior & he is dracula. Jamie had decided when he first saw Sunday that she was his forever & he was willing to do whatever it took to have her by his side. Sunday resists Jamie advances but eventually agrees to go on a date with him. That is the beginning of their love story. It is not your typical blood bath dracula drama but there is some gore in the second novella Black. Jamie & Sunday find a life together & the day Sunday turns nineteen everything changes. Mistletoe magic has a plan for Sunday that she doesn't want any part of, but it puts Sunday & Jamie's life together at risk. Will they be able to survive what has life has throw at them?

What it’s about…

Sunday Merkwood is a Mistletoe. She’s been fending off advances from Jamie for two years now.

Jamie Tepes is a Dracula. He’s determined that Sunday is going to be his and he’s got eternity to be patient.

They play a game of cards. The winner gets things their way. And Jamie has a full house! His choice of prize is a date that includes dinner at Sunday’s house and a movie at his house.

History tells us that Draculas used to massacre Mistletoes. Sunday’s parents are very traditional Mistletoes. They also have information to reveal to Sunday that will effect her future and Jamie’s plans with her.

How will Sunday and Jamie overcome this startling change?

Technical Tidbits…

The cover I had was this one you see here to the right. The alternate one you see above is the one I actually prefer. It is so much more artistic and actually relates to the story. Unfortunately it has not mistletoe on it. Again, a mistletoe title without the plant. Hhmmm. I hope book two gets a new cover before it gets published! Something more like the one above would be awesome!

The story line was very interesting. I really enjoyed the way the author handled it.

The characters were really great. They had wonderful personalities, even the disagreeable ones were great! Not pleasant, but they were done really well. To the point that you wanted to say something to the yourself about the way they were acting and what they were saying.

The pace was just fine. It was fairly fast but given the 51 page limit, that was needed to get everything in. It worked well with what Ms. Kitt included in this first book of the series.

The tension was right there from beginning to end. Sometimes you could hear it screeching in your ears, like at dinner with the Mistletoes, but it was mostly tolerable.

The writing quality is really up there. Ms. Kitt has had me read and review a couple of her novellas in series recently and I have enjoyed them all. Though her work wasn’t at first glance in my genre, I find that her work is really fun and always entertaining. She pulls me in and keeps my attention until the end so that I always want more. So this is what I want next from Ms. Kitt. I want a full novel. I want something that I can curl up and read on a long snowy day.

And this is where you STOP if you don’t want to see any SPOILERS…

The good, the bad, and the ugly…and how much it lit up my life… ✰✰✰✰✰

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It kept me engaged from cover to cover! The flirting between the two of them at the club where Sunday was waitressing and Jamie was hanging out was fun and led to that game of cards that ended with dinner with Sunday’s parents.

Sunday’s personality was perfect for a young woman her age. She’s still a virgin and rather conservative. Yet, here’s this rather hunky young man who’s been making advances to her for two years. In a darkened club where it’s just the two of them and she can experiment just a bit. So she plays this game of cards with him. She makes things rather suggestive by sitting on the table and putting the cards between her legs, but acts innocent about it. So, when Jamie wins, he gets to make his prize up. Dinner at her house and a movie at his house. She’s seems fine with that, but I don’t understand why she would be so calm and casual about it. She had to know her mother, and especially her father would be upset about his coming to dinner. And I had to wonder why Jamie would choose such a prize, too. For a first date, he had to know that this would be an awkward situation. Why not do something with less stress for a first date?

And it was stressful. Not only did her parents not approve of his being there, but they had a whopper of a conversation stopper to share with the two young ones. An arranged marriage that has a magical hook is quite the thing to spring on someone, especially that way. In front of someone who’s not family. I would think that would be a private thing and one she would have known since she was a child. But this did make a good story addition and, of course, adds greatly to the next book.

Highly Recommended

What it’s about…

Sunday Merkwood and Jamie Tepes are breaking tradition by continuing with their relationship against her parents’ wishes. Sunday has an arranged marriage bond that has kicked in since her 19th birthday that’s causing some complications. Communications sometimes become crossed, so Sunday wants to make things clear between she and Jamie by becoming a Dracula.

Jamie’s house locks down at midnight, so there can be no interruptions. What could go wrong? Well, almost everything…

Technical Tidbits…

The cover is not to my liking. I like that it’s Cade’s mistletoe. But I don’t like all that red. Use the mistletoe, but with something more artistic like the previous cover at the top.

The story line is very good. It’s very different given the subject matter and her characters. I really love this little world that R. Kitt has carved out for herself. So unique and entertaining.

The characters were really great. They had wonderful personalities, even the disagreeable ones were great! Not pleasant, but they were done really well. To the point that you wanted to say something to the yourself about the way they were acting and what they were saying.

The pace is a bit choppy in this one. Sometimes it feels like you’re going fast-forward and sometimes it’s a much slower pace.

The tension is always there, though. When you start out in the bed of a guy who’s in an arranged marriage contract with the girlfriend of a Dracula and he has a lovely blonde in his bed…tension anyone?

The writing quality is really up there. Ms. Kitt has had me read and review a couple of her novellas in series recently and I have enjoyed them all. Though her work wasn’t at first glance in my genre, I find that her work is really fun and always entertaining. She pulls me in and keeps my attention until the end so that I always want more. And this is where you STOP if you don’t want to see any SPOILERS…

The good, the bad, and the ugly…and how much it lit up my life… ✰✰✰✰

This book was a bit confusing for me. It seemed like there were times that I wasn’t really sure who was doing the talking at time or what was happening to who. I find it too easy to lose tract of that name at the beginning of each chapter and who’s doing the talking or thinking.

The scene is set with just the two of them in the castle and no on expected back for a full day. They’ve talked it all out and they are all ready to go. Sunday has all her mental barriers up. They agree they want Sunday to get pregnant as well as go through the change. But the change to a Dracula is painful. You have to bleed out. You have to die.

Then Sunday meets Millan in the Catacomb Prison, one of two Dracula prisons. Sunday tells Millan about waking from her change and killing both of the young men in her life, Radian and Jamie. Radian had sensed her pain and come to her before the house locked down at midnight. Her black “mistletoes were falling to the floor like a funeral”. She hadn’t told Radian that she was going to let Jamie change her. For once, in these two years, she had been thinking only of Jamie.

Whatever had happened in that blood fest, caused Radian to awaken as a Dracula. And when Jamie finally awoke he would have nothing to do with Sunday. He told Radian he could have her, to get her out of the house. But the plan for a pregnancy didn’t go astray. Sunday was a Dracula and a mother of a cute little boy, named Cade. And Cade is drinking blood like any good little Dracula. Finally, on a weekend visit with his Dad, he produces his first mistletoe, with purple berries! And he feeds them to his father. What effect will purple mistletoe berries have on Jamie’s poisoned system? Whatever it is, he goes straight for Sunday.

I really had no idea what this book is gonna be like, but I had the impression it was going to be about Christmas (because of the title mostly. :)) ) I couldn’t have been more wrong!
Sunday and Jamie are the main characters in this book. Sunday is part of the Mistletoes - meaning she has magical powers that makes mistletoes appear when she has intense feelings.
Jamie is part of the Dracula family, he’s a flirting one, but I really like him. Take notes! Dracula and Vampire are two different species in this book. Draculas can walk in daylight after they turn 21 and they have other powers too.
What I liked about this story, was the originality. I read a lot of books about Vampires along the time and I thought nothing can surprise me anymore. But I was wrong. This book was nothing like the others. 👍
What I didn’t like... was that rush. Things were happening way too fast for my taste. Usually I love to read and find out more about the relationship that two characters have. I love the suspense. I love to see how long it’s going to take until the characters say “I love you”. I like to be pressured. When they get to action as soon as they get together is a turn off...
Luckily, this wasn’t so bad. There were a lot of interesting events in the book, that succeeded in taking my mind off that fact that Jamie and Sunday moved so fast. 😁
In conclusion, I liked the story and I’m very curious what Ashley and Radian will do in the next book.
P. S. Cade was really cute!
P. S. S. If you’re wondering who Cade is, read the book! 😂

Fun packed read

Hell! I just had to give this 5 stars. Why? You know why! It's a great story, it's funny in places, it's sad in places, it's dark in places. But it's a good, fun read. For those who will ask it's M/F.

This is the second book of an on going series. Yes, you have to read book one of you want any hope of understanding and enjoying this one. This is about Sunday a Mistletoe and Jamie a Dracula. Their love, their hate and their child Cade. That's all you're getting.

It's a short read about an hour. It's on KU. It's definitely worth your time. Let your imagination loose for an hour with a good read and a cup of coffee. You won't regret it. Enjoy!

Finally, something to take me out of my unenthusiastic state! At the beginning, I thought Jamie is the Dracula and Sunday - some ordinary human girl. Oh, boy, I was wrong! Sunday is a mistletoe and if I have understood right - she can control and spawn plants from the air while Jamie is a dracula, not an ordinary vampire, someone who can walk in daylight after they become 21 years old and can eat normal food.

My heart and mind wonder through all of the things that Jamie could possibly be thinking about doing with me. I have a few ideas of my own. My heart quickens its beat. "You okay over there? That heart of yours is beating mighty fast, Sunday."

What's more is that there are no humans. It was a smooth transition to that revelation. In fact, much of the information above was presented here and there, unnoticed. I liked that. Also, I loved the exchange between Sunday and Jamie. It was witty and sweet and was slowly building up sexual tension. I wish it was a full-length book and I would have read it again.
I would definitely recommend this book and the author! You can't miss it!

A really cute, short read! I haven’t read any fantasy books for a while now and boy did this one make me want to dive right back it!

There were a few confusing moments, but I think that’s more because this was my first introduction to this series than anything else.

I loved Jamie ❤️❤️❤️ nothing like a hot vampire 🧛‍♀️

Rating 4.5!

Part 2 is here! I'm super glad I read the sequel, i enjoyed most of it and it was worth it despite all the feelings I have inside!!

So we go through a roller coaster ride with Jamie, Sunday and her forced betrothed, Radian
Jamie is determined to keep Sunday, but since she turned 19 her bond with Radian has increased unintentionally and now Jamie is doubting if Sunday wants to be with him or with Radian, so it's quite obvious that when Radian does something to Sunday, even such a small sweet gesture, Jamie would make him pay mainly by getting hurt

So, you could properly see how this is turning out. But what happens after she chooses the guy, things really start getting messed up!
And I felt my heart pour out for all of them! They go through I really stuff stage that it seems like there was no happy ending. Tears will be shed so please do have a box of tissues!

I did enjoy this, it was worth it. And the reason it's not 5 stars is because of the amount of blood and vampy vibes, which is not my thing but I still could get through it and it was worth it!

Received a copy from the author herself, in exchange for an honest review, thank you!

When Sunday and Radian turn nineteen their bond begins due to their family’s betrothing them even before they were born. They are all dealing with the emotional upheaval such a thing brings about. Sunday is adamant that she feels nothing, she still loves Jamie. Radian is so confused by his feelings toward a girl he hasn’t seen in years. And Jamie is furious at the loss of his mental connection with Sunday as well as the base desires he’s picking up from Radian.
In the midst of all of this, Sunday makes a decision that changes all of their lives.

The continuation of Jamie and Sunday’s story was very well written, fast paced and had a few surprises in it. I enjoyed getting to know this couple and loved how the writer brought healing through a purple mistletoe and the creator of that mistletoe.

Advanced reader copy provided by author and this is my honest review.

Multi POV
Safe – no ow drama; some om drama as she has been promised by her family to another man
No apparent triggers

5 CURSED STARS

Mistletoe Black continues two years after where book one, Mistletoe Red, left off. Sunday Merkwood and Jamie Tepes are living together and attending College while she struggles with the Mistletoe marriage bond urging her to be with another Mistletoe, Radian Thistle. Like book one, I don't want to go too far into the plot so as not to spoil anything. But, I enjoyed this novella more than the first seeing as I'm a sucker for well written angst and a good love triangle. If you're looking for something new and creative in the paranormal genre, this series is for you!

"If I don't get the girl then testing Tepes' love for his girl should be an interesting experiment."-Radian.

I knew it! The second book was even better! It starts a little strange at first but then the reason why is revealed. Radian is Sunday's childhood friend and by magic, they're bound to fall in love, get married and to live happily ever after. You can guess who isn't very keen on this idea. Jamie, as he says himself in the book, becomes a different person after their nineteen birthday - violent and possessive. And why... because Radian and Sunday can read each other's thoughts and see through other's eyes while Jamie can't read Sunday's thoughts anymore. Obviously, he feels threatened and insecure even more when he finds a clue Sunday unintentionally leaves behind her. A clue which could be a true or a lie. Jamie eventually pushes away Sunday and she decides to give him the answer he has been waiting for years. Then... something went wrong. I felt like crying when I thought what Sunday thought had happened (confusing but you'll know if you read the book xD). Jamie and Sunday are perfect for each other but sometimes you can't see it with your own eyes...

“Everything about us is wrong. I never listened to my father, I listened to my heart.” I’m looking into Sunday’s eyes and she’s glaring at me. “Choose him, Sunday! Get it over with!” I’m shouting at her louder than I intended and everyone on and off the field is staring at me, at us.

The story was funny and romantic at one moment and at the other - sad and angry. More information is given about the war, the draculas, the mistletoes, and their abilities. What I liked here was the structure of the book. One thing happened, then we're a year or two in the future... really fast paced but it's so well written that you can't miss anything. I loved how the problem was solved... So cute! ❤ Hey, there was a clue in the first book about which I thought almost at the moment and the main character did (I might be a little proud... xD). In addition, the magic was like a piece of the puzzle. It wasn't like the magic can make the whole plot like in some other books I have read. Oh, also there is a new mystery on the horizon related to Ashley and Randian. Maybe the next book would be about them and I would definitely read it. Fortunately, Randian didn't do anything to hate him and he was funny.

If I don’t get the girl then testing Tepes’ love for his girl should be an interesting experiment.

I couldn't stop until the end. So addictive, unique and unpredictable. You won't regret reading the book!

‘You thought I was going to let you sleep tonight? Cute.’ With those words, Jamie followed through and didn’t let up until the early hours of the morning.
