SECRETS THREATEN TO DESTROY THE ACADEMY. IF THE ASSASSINS CAN'T WORK TOGETHER, THE ACADEMY WILL FALL AND CHAOS WILL REIGN.
The assassins have their hands full chasing down the creatures who've fled to the human world. Too bad Morgan has been consigned to the schoolroom, too valuable as the future heir to the crown to be risked. Not one to kick up her heels and do nothing, Morgan is determined to find out how to control her powers so she can protect what is hers...even if she has to sneak behind her team's backs to do so.
But what should've been a time to settle down with her mates turns deadly when secrets are exposed. Morgan is furious, but determined to fight for the chance to have a future with her men...even if she must challenge the sea queen to prove her claim on Draven.
The sea queen is vicious and will do whatever is necessary to get what she wants...and she wants Draven. There is always a price to pay for defying the queen, but her mates refuse to let Morgan pay the price alone.
When a deal is struck, Morgan and her team must survive the next three days of being hunted by the queen's mightiest champions. If she fails, she and her mates will die, and Draven will be forced into a life of slavery for all eternity.

Where the fanged, furry and spell slingers fight the darkness inside their soul for a chance to claim the one they love.
If “no sex” was the edge you were going for to set apart your RH from the rest, ya blew it hun.
WHY ELSE DO YOU THINK WE READ THIS SHIT?? For the repetitive plots and predictable men?? Please. (yes, yes we do)
I mean.. we are into BOOK THREE. The series is almost OVER... ( I can’t imagine anything else extending this past 4 books)...
And they haven’t even seen her tits yet. At least they’ve all kissed her because even THAT took awhile.
I may be harsh with my words but please, we are all thinking it sisters!
Book one was F I R E with the anticipation. Book two was a lot like what I think men feel during blue balls. Book three...
Well, at least some of my questions are answered and the men aren’t all fighting her. And they seem to cement their bonds through words. The plot was decently engaging.
But let’s be honest. Morgan sounds a little lifeless in this book. It’s the same shit over and over. “I have to distance myself from them because I have to protect them. Oh, and they can’t protect me.”
THE. LOGIC.
????????????????
JUST SCREW THEM ALREADY MORGANA.
I changed her name. The extra syllable sounds better when I’m internally yelling at her in frustration.
In seriousness, I would like to say the book was good and Morgan got better as it went by. I’m just ready for a little more oomph. I’m not asking for much. We’ve had enough love declarations. We get it. They love each other.
Whatever.
Book 4 better be orgasm after orgasm. Starting with Atlas, please.
Claimed by the Assassins is the third installment of the series. The slow burn romance is starting to kill me. Mostly because the sexual tension, and really any kind of tension, is there. It's obvious to everyone with eyes. Yet, nothing freaking happens. The little epilogue did make me happy because of a certain mating but still - things are taking way too long right now.
Maybe I'm just being really freaking picky. But when it comes to RH books, you'd think you would get lots of RH things happening in almost every chapter. Again, it's probably me. As for the drama, action, and the notorious queen? Well, things definitely got interesting in this one.
I was equally impressed and disgusted by the queen and her actions. Mostly because I knew things had to happen a certain way in order to light the inner fire within Morgan. Claims needed to happen and so did some mating. I also really enjoyed the action parts, but I just need more in the romance department. Pretty please?
In the end, if I don't get some more of that then I will be very sad and disappointed. I'll still keep reading because these are addicting books. I just wanted to state that I would like more romance in this little RH of friendships and slow burning torture.
I felt like there should’ve been 4 books to the series? I was a little disappointed that this book went half way through almost as a repeat of the second. The guys are leaving her out of hunts, she feels left out, they feel protective... It felt like they had that worked out at the end of book two but here we are again... I also wanted more development in their relationships. Everyone seemed scared of touching each other again. I don’t know, good series but the last left me a bit disappointing.
I just love this series. I didn't realize the author was giving us another book after this one. I'm so excited and can't wait until book 4 is released.
(Spoiler Alert! )I really liked these characters, and loved the previous books. But I had hoped that by book 3 the steam level would have increased. But there is still no consummation between Morgan, and Any of her Mates! Also this whole storyline seems to culminate into Morgan, and her men turning into glorified royal babysitters! Ugh Also, is there a RH spinoff forming with the Banshee? I hate when authors do that in the middle of a story. Anyway I'm not sure I'm going to continue with this series.
After finishing this book I fondly looked back at the review I wrote for the first book in this series, how thrilled I had been to find a decent RH book that checked every box only to be overwhelmed but still hopeful with the second book. Claimed By the Assassins doesn't even feel like it was on the same wavelength as the other books.
The first chapter pretty much sums up the whole range of interaction between Morgan and her guys throughout the book. It's like the same things are repeated in different words over and over no matter which guy she talks with. The guys' POVs are the same lovesick puppy inner monologues to make them anything memorable. I felt no progress in their relationship, no varying dynamics despite some perfect opportunity to create friction with the whole Draven situation.
The characters themselves are so.. flat. Except for few scenes, Morgan was otherwise bland and dull. I don't know where her spunk and badass persona vanished. It would have been nice to see more scenes with her magic as it wasn't really explored. All of her guys were one dimensional, nothing beyond being Morgan's mates. Honestly it was sad to see such underwhelming utilisation of paranormal characters that had so much potential.
The plot itself felt like a rough sketch of something that has yet to be finessed into a polished story. Big things that were the selling point like the Wild Hunt was vague at best with the whole huntsmen thing. A deadly challenge that automatically has a time out every day when the sun rises, what? Where's the continuity and what's the fun in that? After being overwhelmed last time with so many different location settings for the story, this book did the complete opposite where I really felt the lack of location exploring with nothing moving beyond the Academy, a club or a rundown farmhouse. The veil was cool but then again it's not really explored in this book beyond the short scenes.
The action was alright but each of these bad dudes they faced all three days of this challenge just never made me care, even the sea queen who is the ultimate bad bitch for this book. How am I supposed to care when there were like two scenes with this queen? No buildup towards issuing the challenge and then afterwards, no interaction between her and Morgan practically till the end chapters. The shallowness with these supposedly evil characters just doesn't invoke the feelings that should be felt while reading their fight scenes.
The resolution was honestly lacklustre for me, be it the altruistic one with the King or the short-lived end fight against the Vikings. I didn't feel like it was that impactful and it was again made cringe worthy with the whole sappy word exchange with her guys after the fight is over. Also we don't move beyond kisses and hugs even in this book, like what are we waiting for?
Ok so this was an improvement since book 2 but please please let their be some action with her men in book four. The burn can’t get any slower at this point. Haha I have really grown to Love Atlas more in this book...Draven & Ryder have always had my heart from book one, Cade and Asher are great too but this dark side to Atlas I bloody LOVE!
Countless fights, enemies and kisses later, Morgan and her men have yet to move past 2nd base. Granted none of them have had much or any downtime since book one which sort of puts a damper on things. Revelations on being a lost heir and Queen will sideline anyone and as if Morgan didn’t attract enough trouble as just a hunter, now it’s also her title and crazy mouth that bring trouble and certain death. The academy has become more of a background character and just serves as a home base for everyone especially now with the academy being part of the heroines territory not to mention her connection to the essence of the school grounds. I am still enjoying this crazy magical ride of a series. Morgan still has powers waiting to be unleashed but also still has a runaway mouth which when out together frighten me for the safety of those around her lol. I’m shocked by how many bargains she makes and all the crazy stupid things she does but somehow she manages to live. At the same time I can’t fault her because she really does want to take of others at the school and in the realm, she’s just a genuine person after having a crappy childhood and cares about others even when she shouldn’t. Hoping these characters can finally screw away all that tension between them as it’s killing me. One thing I know is Morgan will always be in the kinds of trouble and skirmishes she’s been in since book one. Honestly her life needs chaos and between her and her men the world needs to watch out lol. Glad these books don’t end on cliffy’s but still glad the next one is the final one as I need some closure for them all and some type of HEA after all this war and blood.

i really loved this !!! i loved the plot of this book more than the past two and i’m loving where the characters are at right now + all the new characters who have joined!!!! i’ve had a really rough couple days and this was just really useful in distracting me from the real world and making me smile. i love how bad ass Morgan is & the way she is continuing to grow and develop is just really nice to see. i’m really glad we have lots of supporting characters now as in the beginning it was mostly just Morgan and her guys. also am loving Loki & Stanley so much !!!!!! i’m such a sucker for animals so getting to see them in books always makes me happy. overall i’m just really enjoying myself and having a fun time, this series is very easy to get caught up in and i’m excited to see what happens in the final book !!!
1. Draven = Mate 2.Other Gargoyle = Mate 3. Ward = Mate 4. Shade = Mate Yeah I get it she already has 4 mates blah blah, but the more powerful the witch or whatever the more mates she has, and I vaguely remember reading something about some witches having five mates so it makes no sense for Morgan to have only 4 when she is a goddess or some such. AND! I felt like the author was setting up to more mates when Morgan first entered the guys dorm and there were 10 rooms (9 mates mayhaps?) One more mystery mate to come??!
5. Can the dorms get a goddamn make over? More comfort and personality? I mean how's anything steamy meant to happen on uncomfortable cots with thin mattresses and other minimum amount of furniture. How are they meant to hang out together in the main room when there is only seating space for a few of them? Agh I hate when authors make rooms, clothes and food bland and repetitive. Come on use your imagination. There is NO limit! Go crazy!!
6. Sex. Christ sakes woman, this is an adult book. A REVERSE HAREM. I appreciate that it didn't dive straight to smutty b.s and that they built there relationships on actual connections but come on time to make so other types of connections already. Anyways isn't sex meant to be the way to complete the bond completely? Weren't the guys ready to murder Atlas when he went into full mating mode or whatever, to stop Morgan from making a commitment she was rushed into and gave a bit if blood instead? Also if they dont start getting together now I feel like its gonna get real awkward with her jumping between the guys one after the other with no time in between making less of a connection instead of more. Unless there is never going to be any s.s at all, then meh.
Side note, I really hate the covers. Anyone else noticed that this books cover makes Morgan look like she's got a lazy eye? Lips are a little to full, eyebrows to much, eyes to little and jaw line too broad? IMOA
Out of all the books in the series, this one took the longest for me to finish. I even forgot to write a review about it. Don't ask me why, im only writing the review now and it's been a month.
My first annotation in the book was: The fuck is she thinking now?
In all honesty, I do not remember anything about this book AT ALL. This book was so irrelevant and didn't contribute to the series at all with all the OW bullshit I refuse to give a fuck atp.
Stacey probably had enough of the series shit bcs istg she was recycling lines on this book.
Book 3, legit started getting repetitive. It was underwhelming and I swear I don't even remember shits about this book. But I remember having so many headaches whenever the author info dumps in one go about the very complex world they're in, and the characters in this book are just a lot to handle.
I'm a bit underwhelmed by this book. It really felt that not a lot of forward movement happened, not a lot of resolutions came about, plots didn't feel wrapped up and I'm just not really see why the King would agree to what they agreed to. Originally the author had meant for this to be the last book in the series and this really does not feel like a last book at all. She has announced her editor would like another book so there is going to be a 4th, I'm wondering if it will feel like an ending.
Morgan is a fighter through and through. Nothing has come easy for her, including love. I really enjoyed what she was willing to do to keep Draven. I was worried that they were acting like mates even though they weren't marked. There was a bonus chapter that had an adorable event between them.
Morgan knows the guys are pulling away and trying to protect, but she doesn't need, she needs to learn and to help keep them safe. But when someone comes with one her mates, she will do what is needed to protect him.
This book was really interesting. I liked it, but I was also a little annoyed with how the guys treated her. That was beyond frustrating. Other than that, I liked it.
Checked out with kindle unlimited, March 2023. This series took a bit pf a hit for me. I skimmed parts of this since it felt very repetitive of book 2, especially between Morgen and her mates. The plot side remains strong but for me, it’s not balanced with the emotional side anymore. (2/5 rating)
Still loving this series and this book is no exception! Our MC and her guys seem to go from one crazy thing to the next! I love their devotion to each other and how they continue to be there for each other in every way! I also liked Breanna! I very much look forward to what comes next!
The grammar was a mess, and the main character has lost her charm. Although I really liked the world at first, the books have become redundant. I won't be moving on with this one.
I love this series. The whole concept is unique as well as the world that the author has created. There was so much drama and action happening in this book between Draven, the sea queen, Morgan, and her proclamation as queen. It has actually been quite a while since I read the last book but I was able to jump right into this book and never felt lost.
I love how the author is taking the time to build really strong relationships between Morgan and all of her mates as well as the side characters such as Breanna, Shade, Ward, and Harper. I’m excited to read the next book and see what happens next for Morgan and her new family. I’m hoping for some sexy steam in the next book...the slow burn is killing me.
This series really is unbelievably good. I love all the main characters, side characters, and storyline. Each guy is very distinct, which some authors have difficulty writing. I will say this book needs some more editing (misspelled/misused words mainly) but it wasn’t enough to take me out of the story too much. Also, the ending felt vary abrupt. Didn’t really set anything up for the next book. That being said, I really do highly recommend this series.
