The finale to this epic space fantasy series is here. Adelina, Varan, Kaiden, and Nash have to find a way to survive what comes. Adelina will give her life for her people, but her mates will give their life for her.
Find out who survives, who doesn't, and how all your favorite characters make it through the battle of a lifetime.
*This is a slow burn, steamy polyamorous space fantasy romance. There is some female/female
Decent ending to a solid series, with a HEA for most. Hard decisions are made and this war will leave scars across their galaxy, but it still ended fairly well.
i ADORED the ending, all the multiple POV's, all the HEA.... sigh..... YES! i have stated in other reviews how much i have loved this series and the finale is just as good, the female friendships alone are worth it! the respect between everyone for the RH poly life.
ok ok ok a little list the little errors and hiccups.....
1.the slowness of the story at times, the author writes 2. the suddenness of varan even though he was a friend in the unseen world prior to the books, it could have been better for more of the before to enter book 1 and 2 to help with the build up rather than 3. repeating stuff.... this author is a a huge fan of repeating and going over stuff... its not huge but its enough to occasionally grate
but OVER ALL THIS IS A 5 STAR SERIES !!!!! READ IT READ IT RIGHT NOW !!!!!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
This book is by far the best in the series!! It is non stop action, anxiety driving you to turn page after page needing to know who survived and who fell. The love that Adeline has for her people and her mates is nothing short of outstanding. The horrible things she was willing to do, to take onto herself in order to ensure their victory was storytelling mastery. The twists that came during the final showdown with the evil King had me holding my breathe. The final battle was gripping and the way that Emma Dean gave you view points from everyone of our main characters made it so much more real and made you feel like you were part of that battle. Even during the final chapters allowing us closure from each character from their own view point was truly spectacular and from a readers standpoint, having fallen in love with these characters threw out the series, it is something truly priceless. Eagerly looking forward to the spinoffs and more from this universe. Thank you Emma Dean for a truly wonderful series!!
The worldbuilding, politics, tension growing that has been building for 6 books came to a head in a beautiful way. Several plot points were tied up in an unexpected way, not everyone made it out unscathed even with the Draga healing medicine and updated tech. It was a hell of a ride and the only thing left is Winter Solstice because the only thing I was missing was more sexytimes.
But, you know, war going on and all that. I GUESS I can make allowances for priorities of survival. Basically, it was a lovely ending to a wonderful series and one I'm sure to read again. Emma Dean packs so much information in that I'm sure I've missed something the first time through. I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I did.
This book beautifully wraps up the series. It was sad to have it end. Adelina is grown into the Queen that the galaxy needed - and didn't deserve. Her mates and friends (and remaining family) were there for her and supportive when she needed it. There were a few OMG and WOW moments that I didn't suspect but I am happy how turns out. War is ugly and only the strong, smart and lucky survive.
I am excited to read about the other characters within the universe in their own standalones / series.
This series has great character development, plot twists and surprises. I am glad for going on the ride.
This took me months to finish. Not because it was terrible (far from it), but I love this series so much I was having a hard time letting go. I was torn between wanting to read the end but not wanting it to finish!
Adelina is probably one of my favourite female characters ever written. Going from shy butterfly to ruthless leader (who is also fair) was amazing to read. The ending was pretty predictable, but who cares? You want the good guys to win!
The one issue I had was not enough men in the harem! She should've added one more - not saying who as I don't want to spoil it, but it's clear in the last book one more male could have been added.
I actually am a bit ashamed. It took me 8 rereads before I actually gave my opinion and left the stars. This is my all time favorite series. I read it every time when I am close to a depression and it helps me every single time. I know the story but it still gives me goosebumps and makes me cry. I would expected thousands of reviews but there isn’t. I keep hoping for new novellas in this world, new stories but that won’t happen if people don’t leave their reviews. So I am sorry for taking this long. The world building is great, the whole plot, character development. It’s the best.
Each book got better and better. I loved the chemistry Adeline had with Varan, Nash and Kaiden and of course Nadyah. Yet, I also loved the other characters in this book, particularly Josylnn and Sirus and Veri and Asher. However, like I said each character from small to main made a huge impact throughout this series. The author brought the story alive. Throughout this journey, I laughed, cried, and waited with baited breath. I am so glad i gave this series a chance. It was an excellent journey and I am glad there will be spinoffs.
I should have been prepared for the tears to fall, so make sure you are and have some Kleenex! Outside of the tears, there was laughing out loud, and feeling the terror and the suspense of the war and with the fighting. I had an ongoing sense of Star Wars with this, but much more modern, a little Fifth Element in it as well. Take a chance like I did bc you won't be disappointed with this series!
When I first started reading this series, I was skeptical. I wasn't sure I would like a story set in space. Boy, was I wrong. Emma Dean blends science fiction with paranormal reverse harem seamlessly. The RH component is very slow but, but heats up in later books. I also appreciate the girl power aspect of this story of a proclaimed "true submissive". Loved this series, will continue reading other books from this world.
The draga series is such a unique sci fi series. The characters all stand out and none of them blend together, the series is action packed and all of the relationships between each of the characters is so intricate it really adds to the already amazing storyline. I couldn’t recommend this series enough, if you like Sci Fi and RH genres you will love this series !
4.5 stars. I had a good time with this book, I got emotionally involved, and I loved that the "bad guys" weren't seen as a monolith of evil. I, still, don't care about the royal stuff, but there wasn't as much of it in this book. Also, bless Giselle for making one heck of a comeback as a character. Happy reading!
Emma Dean has blown my mind with this largest book. The story was breathtaking and on the edge of your seat intense. This was an awesome ending for the main character Adelina. You must buy this book.
What a powerful and talented author? OMG! I have never read such an away written, engrossing and entertaining piece of fiction ! Well done Emma a fantastic conclusion to a fascinating series.
This is one of the best series I've read from beginning to end I to fell in love with all the characters cried, laughed ,cheered and just plain loved it all Emma Dean The Draga series is truly a readers delight thank you...
It almost breaks my heart to give this a 3, but the amount of times I out loud yelled “get on with it” because half the book was internal thoughts and describing jewelry, clothes or architecture in the greatest of detail was ungodly.
This by far was the book that made me cry and balling. Good tears but I am so thankful that I have found these books!!! They are so amazing to read and I recommend them to anyone!!
This book was the perfect ending to this marvellous series. It was the culmination of all the wonderful plot strands and intriguing characters. It kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through and satisfied my soul at the end.
This book covers the battles to free the Hai system and then the Khara System. Their numbers are limited and the odds seem overwhelming but the Queen keeps making allies that help in the fight.
We see multiple POV throughout the book, as in the rest of the series, and this gives us the full picture of the action taking place through the final weeks of the war. I like that we get to see what happens to the ones left behind waiting, as well as those on the front lines.
Adelina is a fantastic character. Throughout the series she has blossomed from a shy submissive to the most dominant member of her race. She has taken the lessons taught by her loved ones and applied them ruthlessly. She shows only her strength to the outside world, but with her mates she allows herself to be comforted by their love. At the same time as being a dominant force, she is compassionate and honest. She shows real signs of being a wonderful Queen.
This book has so many surprising twists you will never predict how the ending is achieved. This author is very talented at crafting a story, and weaving the characters and world around it, in a way that makes you forget everything other than the book you are reading. You will lose chunks of your life to this series, but it is worth it!
You really should read this whole series because the journey is wonderful and the ending is perfect.
What an ending that was. The epic war the outcome, the things they all went through and that ending. It was all perfect. Thank you Emma Dean for your brilliant imagination and creativity and for sharing these fantastic characters.
