Super Cute!

I really love books/series that take place in small towns. This is a fun series that takes place in Aspen Ridge, Colorado. Laurie works in the bridal shop and it was a lot of fun to see that side of the business (reminded me of the TV show Say Yes to the Dress). Logan is a lawyer from Denver who comes to Aspen Ridge with his sister to try on wedding dresses. To say that Laurie and Logan butt heads would be an understatement. While it's fun to watch the sparks fly, I did feel that Laurie overreacted at times and wasn't always fair. They did have great chemistry though and I loved the scenes when they are together, I wouldn't have minded more of that. :)

Overall, it was a really cute story. I liked the characters and the setting. I'll definitely be following this series and grabbing up all the books. I would happily recommend this to anyone who enjoys a nice lighthearted romance.

This was the first time I have read a Paige Timothy novel. I expected a pleasurable reading experience having read several customer reviews, but Paige Timothy far exceeded my expectations. At only 108 pages it is a challenge for a writer to develop a story and characters with any real depth and was believable. This was a page turning read right from the first few pages. It held my interest to the last page. I love clean romances and this was squeaky clean. The only violence was when Logan punches Chad in defense of Laurie’s honor. I almost jumped from my chair and cheered. There were passages when I laughed out loud – unusual for me. I am one, however, who is a stickler for details. It seemed to me that the author forgot – more than once – that the jewelry store, according to the town layout provided, is not located between the bridal shop and the diner as Laurie takes the alley between the shop and the diner so as to avoid detection by someone in the jewelry store. The jewelry store is actually two buildings away from the bridal shop in the opposite direction from the diner. Nevertheless, I cannot help but award five stars for And Something Blue by Paige Timothy.

Super cute and squeaky clean. This is my kind of story.

And Something Blue was somewhat predictable but still thoroughly enjoyable. The bridal shop was a fun setting.

Two strong willed opinionated people are bound to have some ups and downs. From the moment Laurie meets the brother of one of her brides you know you are in for a good time watching these two collide. This is the first in a series of novellas but it stands alone. Laurie has three roommates who I am assuming will each get their own story as part of this series.

This is a novella of about 100 page in length so it is a perfect book to read at bedtime because you can knock it out in one sitting and head to bed smiling.

First of all, there was a map included at the beginning of the book that showed where each business was located on Main Street. I really enjoyed looking at that, so that I could visualize just where everything was. It really drew me in. Secondly, it was a short, fun story and I can't wait to read more about this great street!

Laurie works in a bridal shop and helps brides-to-be find their perfect wedding dress. She's really good at what she does and when she makes a fantastic sale, she is very surprised to find herself under attack a few days later by the bride's lawyer brother, Logan.

Laurie is a likable girl. She knows her stuff and isn't one to be bullied, but she really goes back and forth between hating and loving Logan. Logan is a man used to getting what he wants and with the results he expects. Isn't there a saying about love and hate being very closely related? I loved watching their relationship play out and seeing the twists and turns that came with the story. I wasn't expecting a few things that happened towards the end, but that's what makes it fun--I love being surprised.

It was a fast, light, quick easy, clean read. It almost seemed to fast but it was cute and it had attitude. It was a fun break from the heavy one I'm reviewing.

Talk about a story about enemies to lovers. Laurie and Logan's first meeting is unimpressive as he accompanies his sister to buy her bridal gown (he's opposed to the marriage). It's during the second meeting that sparks fly. He's really arrogant and rude. We find out later what's going on with him, and he must have found Laurie unforgettable because he keeps coming back trying to get her to accept his apology. It's a good thing she'd already found him so physically attractive.

I listened to the audiobook. The narrator's voice was a bit little girlish at first, but it kind of grew on me, and I liked it.

I liked this one...but it was more just ok for me.
It was frustrating, because it had the potential to be better, but it bugged me that she spent most of the book disliking him. Don't get me wrong--I like when they start out disliking each other, but come on, give the guy a break! He was a good guy, and outside of the initial dress situation, what did he do to warrant all the disdain? I have no idea what took her so long to convince herself to like him, and I just got a little annoyed with her. And some of her thoughts and reactions were a bit dramatic and pretty immature.
I liked Logan, but I didn't feel like I got to see all that much of him other than brief scenes here and there until well into the second half of the book. But once things picked up, it was really sweet. And I really liked the ending (even though that was QUICK!).
So, basically, this one was just ok for me. It was cute and I liked it, but didn't love it.

This was the first book in this collection that I read and it was a fantastic way to start things out. I really love the concept of writing about a group of people who all work along the same street (Main Street Merchants). Different lives, different businesses, but all connected in some small way. I loved the little map in the front telling me where are the businesses were located too. It really helped set the stage in my head.

Laurie is a fun character. She runs a bridal shop. Her first few encounters with Logan are less than stellar but some kind of magnetism keeps them both gravitating toward each other. This book had me wanting more from this author and this Main Street Merchant Series. My favorite quote from the book is, “Laurie felt her heart reach out and wrap around his to tie a knot she would never be able to loosen.”

Laurie loves her job. As a bridal consultant in a small town, she gets to help everyone have that special day. One day she gets a girl in with a short engagement but no shortage of money. The future bride brings her mother and very annoying (but very attractive) brother Logan. After things go sour, Laurie gets way more attention from Logan than she ever wanted. Will enemies become friends? Or maybe even more?

This was a very cute story. I love that it was a short read, because I was sucked into the story and didn't want to put it down. Laurie lives life on her own terms, and I appreciated that. I also loved her roommates. They were a fun cast that I wanted to read more about (and I did in the next book). There was just enough tension between Laurie and Logan to be interesting but not off-putting. This was a fun, sweet romance.

I LOVE that this is SWEET and CLEAN!

Laurie loves working as a bridal consultant...

But sometimes brides and their families can be difficult to work with!

When Kelly Reese walks into Millicent's Bridal Shop with her mother and her brother, Logan, Laurie is ready.

Kelly and her mother are easy to work with...the brother not so much.

As Kelly is getting married in such a short time and will need a rush order...

Laurie has them sign a "no return" contract.

But when Kelly's wedding is called off...

It is Logan who storms into the shop demanding a refund.

As Laurie and Logan battle it out a love/hate relationship starts to form.

But which way will it go?

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS ONE!
FUN BANTERING!
GREAT TWISTS IN THE STORY!

This was a fun book, the start of a new series. I loved all of the girls you meet in this book. The girls are mostly roommates of Laurie, and I can't wait to get to know each of them in their own stories. I loved the flow of this book. The plot just seemed to work and be really sweet, just what you want in a quick, easy read. I thought that the characters were really well done, and I love how the little town and Main Street itself almost become characters as well. If you're a fan of clean romance you won't want to miss this fun new series!

Loved this simple, wholesome and very clean romance novella. Laurie is looking for love but not finding it. Logan is a lawyer caught up in his own ego...until they meet.

While some of this was very predictable, it didn't make it any less of a story. I thought the story was well written and complete...didn't leave you hanging, much! Hopefully in the next book we will find out a little more about Laurie and Logan even though the next book is about another roommate of Laurie's.

If you have an hour or so, pick up this book and sit back and enjoy the romance.

Main Street Merchants is a fun series! I have loved all the books, but this one is my favorite!

Logan and Laurie meet when he comes into the bridal shop she manages with his sister and mother to buy a wedding dress for his sister. He doesn't make a good first impression - and he makes an even worse second impression - but he is persistent until he finally gets it right. This was a fun, clean short read -- perfect for a summer day like today!

Sweet and clean romance about Laurie, a bridal dress consultant who instantly dislikes Logan, the brother of a bride who was recently jilted and who tries to circumvent their no return policy.

This was like a hallmark movie but with more kissing.

There are others in this series, I hope. And I'd like to see a happy ending for Brennan.

Liked the book but kinda torn at the moment. The hero was hardly in it for about the first 68% of the book. So I had a hard time believing the hero and heroine would end up together. And then the worst thing happened... it just ended! I hate that! Full review to come.

This was a super cute and clean little romance novella. I really enjoyed the banter between Laurie and Logan. Thought the author did a great job at that, found myself smiling a ton during this novel. Very, very cute.

Two thumbs up!

The beginning of the story had me wondering how Logan could redeem himself, but the author did a fairly decent job of it. I had hoped that Brennan would end up with Logan's sister, but hopefully they'll get their happily-ever-afters in future books in this new series.

Laurie was a very sympathetic heroine and I really liked how she handled herself. I struggled with her cringe moments - as with Logan's bad guy moments, they seemed a bit too much.

Overall, however, I loved the protagonists and watching their relationship develop. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens with her roommates.

In the meantime, I am going to enjoy exploring more of this author's books!

Misleading blurb. By 50% in the heroine has been on a couple dates with Brennan and mostly spent her time eating (we have to read about her daily mint hot chocolate, ice cream, eclairs, dinner, BLT, lunches dessert platters), being clumsy and behaving pretty judgmental and witchy to Logan when he makes somewhat snobby but not mean-spirited comments. She automatically gets defensive, self righteous and sarcastic. She accuses him of superiority when she comes across the same. I think maybe she should go on a sugar fast. I have NO IDEA WHY he even wants to be near her what they see in each other. She admits he is HOT but she seems to hate him so far. Tempted to skim or DNF.

Sweet Surprise

I will post a more detailed review on my personal media accounts, but in short, as my headline states, this story was a sweet surprise. In this short read, I quickly fell in love with the characters of the small town of Aspen Ridge and look forward to reading more of their stories. The romance happened a little too quickly for me and was hastily written or awkward in parts, but I was rooting for the couple in the end and was satisfied with the conclusion. 3.8 out of 5 stars, rounded up to 4.

A Pleasantly Interesting Love Story

I loved this enemies-to-friends-to romance story. The characters were well crafted. The heroine was strong while maintaining her femininity. The hero was honest in admitting his errors. And the heroine's friends were really fun to read while not taking over the story. Overall, this clean romance, while not inspirational, was a lovely story perfect for enjoying an evening in. If you love clean romance, you will likely enjoy this book.

Laurie is helping a new bride to find her wedding dress. Kelly picks one out from a special collection. She brought her mother & brother. Logan is Kelly's brother and thinks she is marrying to fast. Brennan, has a crush on her, he works at the jewelry story with Laurie's roommate. But Logan is the one.

Good

I really enjoyed this story. There was enough action, tension and drama to keep you engaged. Some expectations were unrealised (Brennan and Kelly?), but the whole story is really good. Loved Laurie, she sure is a 'straight shooter'! A great afternoon's read.

Not the usual love story

This book touched my heart as Laurie and Logan struggled to work through their many differences and misunderstandings. Traveling with them through their difficult relationship and decision making experiences is a wonderful and often hilarious journey.
