This is another one of those books that goes beyond a rating, so I made sure to take the time and actually write this review out.
Normally, it takes me about four days to finish a book, but with this one I took my time. When I read self-help books like this, I move slower, take notes as I go, and reflect on them later.
This book goes beyond business. It’s personal. It feels like having a life coach in your hands. I’ve read a lot of self-help books, so I’m familiar with many of the concepts Robin Sharma touches on, but this one reinforces them in a way that feels different. The story makes it feel like the monk is right there with you, like Julian is truly walking you through it, almost like a friend teaching you in real time.
A lot of what’s shared connects to universal principles you’ll recognise if you read books in this space, but it’s presented in a way that makes it easy to apply to everyday life. It pushes a way of living that’s rooted in calm, purpose, and serenity, and that’s what hit me the most. The message landed so deeply that it made me want to share it with others. It’s empowering, practical, and genuinely worth reading.
I’m glad I finally finished it. Now I’m about to start going through the notes I took and really put the lessons into practice.
