Activate the raw power of your subconscious to create the life you've always wanted, using six essential lessons from one of the world’s most renowned hypnotherapists.
Unsatisfying careers. Volatile, unhealthy relationships. Unfulfilled dreams. Too many of us are living lives that fall short of what we truly desire. But as celebrity hypnotist Kimberly Friedmutter explains in this life-changing book, not only is it possible to design the life of your dreams, but the power to do so lies within you, in your subconscious mind.
The subconscious is the root of your true power and desire; it's your inner eight-year-old, your authentic self. It is the honest compass that will lead you to a life of happiness, so long as you are able to follow its direction. We all have the power to access it—children do so effortlessly—but as we grow up we’re taught to stop daydreaming and to follow society’s rules, which makes us disconnect from our subconscious, often with tragic results.
In Subconscious Power , Kimberly guides you through six principles that bring your conscious mind in line with your subconscious desires. She shares practical, three-minute exercises that will help you transform your relationships, find true love, lose weight after years of struggling with the scale, overcome addictions, and achieve new career successes and heights. Featuring inspiring success stories and the practical tools you need to make meaningful change, Subconscious Power will empower you to stop being a passive participant in a life you don't love, and to actively choose the life you truly desire.
I just finished reading Subconscious Power last night and it makes me want to read more books along this line. Then I second guess myself. I tell myself to slow down. I need to actually attempt the exercises in this book first before moving on to other enlightening offerings. I need to experience the power the author speaks about and get out of my own way to do it. These exercises are definitely worth your time.
If I am honest, there is nothing really new here. It is all repackaged in a form that appeals to the citizens of today. Yes, it may not be new but it is important. You need to read this. Everyone needs to read this.
I am not a fan of the cover, however. There is a bit of a subliminal vibe to it but I think it really needs to POP for people to gravitate toward it. I want people to buy this and buy it in droves.
My favorite part was the SoulSpirit exercise and the exercise where you cut the negative energetic cords between you and other people (saber?). There are so many exercises in this book that I think there either needs to be an entire section just for the exercises so you can easily refer to them; or this book needs a companion book called Subconscious Power: The Exercises.
It is an easy read and it will help you find the life you really want.
I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.
This is a great book and it will really help you to understand your subconscious mind. Isaac Miller (Just Get Up: And Manifest Your Inner) www.isaacsmiller.com
Contains lots of good advice for general well-being. I particularly liked the advice on NOT going into the darkness to help someone you love who is suffering, but rather, stand in your own truth and light, and call them to you. They may come or not, but you can't go trying to save or change them. It doesn't work - for starters - and, it will bring you down. Don't lower yourself, rather, let them raise themselves when they are ready. Good advice!
The subconscious hacks are cute and easy. I like their addition, but it does require that you get good at entering trance.
Constructive criticism: I think it would be helpful for beginners to have a full chapter devoted to how to enter trance, and what it feels like so you know when you're there, etc (more depth). Also, I would like more information on the subconscious, how it works, and how to maximize accessing it.
World-renowned hypotherapist Kimbery Friedmutter explains that you have the power to live the life of your dreams all thanks to your subconscious.
Yet how ironic that a board certified hypnotherapist would make the claim that her given hacks "do not require you to commit to years of therapy - who had time for that?" or better yet, claim the repetitive "you are divine" line all self-helpers love. Pleaseeee 🤦🏻♂️ then maybe we wouldn't be pickin up the book if that's the case 💀
Overall, this book is like many other self-help books: new age mentality of meditation, manifestation, and "unlocking the power within." That's more on me since I thought this would be more straightforward & statistical rather than anecdotal, so that's even more-so why it's not worth the read imo. Safe to say I DNF.
This is a great blend between the recognition of knowing what to trust to intuition and to the subconscious mind (like Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast and Slow) and eastern philosophies of our interconnectedness with everything. I really like reading about her ideas and perspectives. But I'm not too much of a fan of trying the exercises and some times her wording makes it seem like I'm reading a script for an infomercial. I want to find what my place in the universe is, I wouldn't necessarily call it 'living big'. But it's definitely worth the read to get the ideas of the conscious, subconscious, and soul spirit and how they all interact and affect our life and the things that come into them.
I have been on a journey this past year to connect with my inner self to find my truth and my joy.
I have been working with a life coach and she suggested reading Subconscious Power by Kimberly Friedmutter and I am so happy she did.
this book is like a life guide. It's not a book you read and forget about. No, you read it, then read it again and so on as with each read you learn something new that makes connecting with your inner self so much better. I have started on my second read of this book and already I am feeling better in seeing my self in my life in a new light.
this is a book you want to keep close to you so when life gets a little out of sync you can pick it up and find your way back to joy and the life you want to be living.
The author Kimberly Friedmutter has extensive knowledge of hypnosis, as she is Board certified and has “high-performing clientele, which is often mentioned without naming names; and she also has a background in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP).
In “Use Your Subconscious Power to Create the Life You Have Always Wanted,” she uses the Six Principles and three-minute exercises that she utilizes in her private practice.
Friedmutter informs readers of the core aspects of the subconscious and ways that one can enter into trance/tune out and empower and heal what ails them.
This book can and should be put to good use.

I appreciate receiving this book as a prize. There is some good advice that I could have missed as I don't often read a book of this type. Though some of the exercises are not something I can relate to, they are based in good advice and practical ways to explore one's life in an effort to improve it or solve a problem. The last 2 chapters that summarize and apply the ideas are very useful.
I first borrowed this book from the County library as a sort of “lark borrow” compared to the more “serious materials”. This amazing book breaks it all down and tells more reality than the more “serious” books on the mind I borrowed in that lot of library borrows. Great book, I love reading it also. Thank you.
This book had some good advice about meditation and manifestation, but was very western-focused and the author had an incredibly capitalist mindset. I do think that some of the advice is helpful, but this was not my favourite book on the topic.
Nothing groundbreaking in this one. I would recommend something with a bigger punch in this genre. This might turn you off if it’s the first spiritual text you read.
