I was a little disappointed that in the end, Bunny did smile. Probably because I thought the lesson was going to be that it's okay not to smile. Otherwise it's cute and could be a fun group read.

Big the bear has been trying to get his friend Bunny to smile but nothing is working. He's decided to enlist the reader's help. Can Big and the reader get Bunny to smile?

This is a book that you want to get pictures of the littles reading. The interactive concept is fun and easy and will likely make kids giggle. I like that the speech bubbles are colored corresponding to Big and Bunny's colors to help kids know who is talking and teach them how speech bubbles work. I also like the fun illustration style. Hand this to a kid you want to cheer up or who enjoys interactive reads.

Bear really wants Bunny to be happy and smile, so he recruits the reader into helping him out!

This would be a good "read together" book, and sure to be a hit with the kids that like to interact with the story. Also liked that Bear doesn't force Bunny to smile, by tickling him or moving his face, he let's the actions of the reader encourage Bunny to smile.

No content issues.

Easy cute reader. I read this in two minutes because I was upset because Jason Tharp has been censored for a book about Unicorns. This book would be so good to read aloud or to read with a child. The illustrations are non-threatening. What is this work coming to and can i live long enough to see it turn around?

This has been my favorite of the bunny books. We all know kids and have had days where we just don’t want to smile and nothing anybody does works until that one thing and then we can’t stop laughing and smiling. That is basically the story of this book, and I loved it.

Bunny Story Time.

Bunny will not smile no matter what bear does. The success of this book really depends on the groups willingness to be silly.

A cute premise that draws the reader in to help make Bunny smile by making funny faces. It does not explain why Bunny needs to smile in the first place.

In a format similar to that of ELEPHANT & PIGGIE, the characters communicate with the reader in an effort to get the grumpy bunny to smile. Youngsters will be giggling along with this one.

This silly book revolves around a bear named Big who wants the reader/listener to help him get Bunny to smile. It's an interactive book where the reader/listener is encouraged to respond to the characters in the book. After reading this with several kindergarten classes and seeing their response, I can safely say that the book generally works well. Not all children chose to respond to the book but most of them did. And it is rather silly with plenty of places for young readers/listeners to repeat what is being said or done or to respond. A fun book for young children who enjoy interacting with the stories they read/hear.
