Goodreads, PLEASE let us rate with zero stars - this read TRULY deserves it. Those who are rating this any higher than 1 star are either employees of Marzano, or they are administrators who have drank the Kool-Aid and believe it is their duty to follow this like sheep.
Even if there are a few good points in this book, it is completely eclipsed by what Marzano has done to ruin any school system that has adopted the High Reliability School approach.
Do not entertain the thought of purchasing, reading, or implementing this program. Your turnover will be astronomical because your teachers will leave in droves, there will be little to no accountability from your administration, and those who stay will be overworked to the point of a breakdown. Unfortunately, the people HRS claims to help are the people who are most negatively affected by it - the CHILDREN!
Keep your district safe and just get back to the basics!
