Before I give my review, you're probably wondering why I'm posting so early-that's because there are six previous books in the series and you'll want to read them all first!

Jane Blythe has pulled out ALL of the emotional stops in SEVEN as one woman’s dark past is about to come roaring back like a freight train without brakes. Why did Daisy suddenly leave her family? She was the ultimate wife, the supportive mother, and now, she is just gone. Has she abandoned her family for another man or has she abandoned them to keep them out of the crossfire of the hell that was her past?

Suspense, secrets, sadistic monsters in the shadows, how can one woman NOT protect her loved ones any way possible? Hang on to witness incredible strengths, misguided heroics and heart-stopping twists in the latest addition to this down and dirty series.

In the arena of dark, gritty, and gut-wrenching, Jane Blythe is at her best!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Jane Blythe!

The Count to Ten Series is one of the best mystery series I have read as each book follows the same set of people and each story connects one way or another. Seven focuses on Daisy Xander who is married to Mark Xander whose brother is Detective Ryan Xander and his partner is Paige Edwards. Still, following? The book starts with a runaway being kidnapped and taken to a place where she is about to discover she is being used as part of a baby trafficking business, after four babies - the girls are put to death as apparently after four births it becomes a bit harder for the females to procreate and survive childbirth. The book then jumps forward to the present time where we read as the local school principal is murdered and tortured. Daisy and Mark's youngest son is the one to find the body. We also learn that Daisy walked out on her family without any explanation. Is it connected to the principal's murder? As more people are tortured and murdered, it looks like Daisy knows more than she is letting on and soon she will spill about her past and family history to Mark and Ryan Xander. Can the police keep Daisy safe as it seems like she will be the last victim on their hit list of Seven? As usual, Seven was another fabulous read by Jane Blythe and OMG that ending and the final chapter as it seems not all parties in the trafficking game were killed. One of my favorite things about this series is the fact that we get to see the same characters over and over again and see how they are getting along in their lives. I have to admit though out of all the characters, I feel so sorry for Paige as she always seems to get the short stick and suffer the consequences of being partners with Ryan and friends with his wife Sofia, etc. Stay tuned for the next book in the Count to Ten Series - Eight by Jane Blythe.

Oooooo I am so excited to get my hands on another book in the Count to Ten series. We are on Seven and I refuse to think about how soon we will get to Eight. I have loved the characters since I first met them.

Colette is the first person we meet. She is a runaway, homeless, beautiful, and naive. She is in for a rude awakening when she thinks she met a ‘friend.’.

It seems predictable, but we shall see. Jane Blythe has a way of pulling all kinds of tricks out of her hat and captivating me, making it impossible to put the book down before the last page is read.

Caden Gervase is a middle school principle, but right away I wonder for how long. I’m sure some kind of badness is coming down on him…and it does.

Ryan and Paige are called to the principal’s office. I couldn’t resist that. They are detectives, partners, and a death at the school their kids will be going to next year strikes too close to home for them. Tony, the child who found the murder victim is Ryan’s nephew.

Now, let’s meet Daisy and Mark, who are Tony’s parents, and find out what kind of trouble they can get into. Nothing like keeping it in the family.

Hmmm…I’m getting an inkling of what Daisy’s problem is and I have to keep reading to see if I am right. I feel so bad for her. Her past has come back to haunt her and it’s not because she did anything wrong, but she had done something right. It’s not just her who is in danger, he has threatened her husband and children. Can she find a way for all of them to survive?

When I found out what they wanted Colette for, I felt like puking, then reaching into my Kindle to tear our their throats with my bare hands. I love a book that makes my blood race and my head feel like it’s going to explode because my emotions are running riot.

Secrets…I love when secrets are exposed.

Killing had just been business for him, until…Now, he was taking great pleasure in his sadistic killing.

I LOVED hooking up with the gang again. The family is tight and would lay down their lives for their friends and have done so before. There are two mysteries running side by side and I am trying to figure out what they have in common. As I am doing this, at 80%…OMG! Jane…I LOVE IT! Does that make me twisted too? Oh man, had another scare there at 87%. The bad guys just ‘won’t freakin’ die’ moments.

Jane Blythe’s stories always make me think of Criminal Minds on steroids.

I shared Seven way before the February release date in case you would like to read the rest of the series first. I don’t feel it is a must, but the reading experience will be richer for it.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Seven by Jane Blythe.

Mark and Daisy’s story might be my favorite of the series so far. Each book is chalk full of nail biting suspense and intrigue but it seems like it’s all amplified in this one. Mark was so strong and accepting and I adored him but at times Daisy drove me crazy with her actions but when it all came to light I understood why she did what she did

Wonderful story!

This series never fails to amaze me! I’m always sucked in from page one and I need to keep going to find out how it ends. Daisy did frustrate me in the beginning. I needed her to tell Mark, or anyone, the truth! I wanted to shake some sense into her! Lol her background story was heartbreaking, and I totally felt for her. My favorite part about this series is you always get to see characters from the other books. They’re all so wonderful. Can’t wait to read Eight!

Dang!! One of the most thrilling books of the series so far!! I never knew what was going to happen from one page to the next. It was suspenseful, gripping and absolutely unputdownable!! Seven kept me guessing from the very start and left me reeling at the end. I can hardly wait to read Eight.

I am not a fan of crime, serial killer type stories, especially one involving kids, anyone who has not voted deserves to live a full life so when I read stories / books with harm done to children or teenagers I don’t like them, I get very defensive right away, especially a black market on selling babies from runaway young girls who are caged and basically treated like animals. But with all that said, I finished the book and overall the story was good, nice plot twists and good well written characters, even if some of the characters are evil and twisted, but they do make some great plot twists in the story.
A young boy named Tony, finds the body of a middle school principal after the principal was tortured and murdered after his mother failed to pick him up for a breakfast that was scheduled so they could spend time together. Tony’s Mom Daisy Xander left her family about six months ago after receiving a letter letting her know that if she went to the police her family would be harmed. Daisy’s husband Mark Xander is a Trauma Surgeon at the area hospital and his two brothers are detectives with the police department, so leaving her family was really her only option unless she told her deepest darkest secret that her family, Mother, Father, Brothers, Aunt and Uncle and cousin all kidnapped runaway girls and used them in trafficking black market babies to couples who would spend a great deal of money for a child. Daisy found out about her family’s evil doings when she turned 13, every member of the family was brought into the business at 13 years of age. This made Daisy sick and she knew it was wrong, so she went to a teacher at her school and asked him for help, she even showed him a picture of a young girl in a cage holding her newborn baby. The teacher Caden Gervase contacted the police and social services and her family home was raided. Her family the Allen/Hayden’s fought back with guns and basically committed suicide via police. Daisy’s cousin Liam escaped after rescuing one of the girls and Daisy and her younger brother Thorne who was 11 were put into foster care until they aged out.

Twenty-five years later and someone if coming after Daisy and six others, the teacher, Caden Gervase, (the principal that Tony found) the social worker, Maddie Pickle, the two police who ended up shooting Daisy’s family, Devon Paddy and Belinda Jersey, Liam, Daisy’s cousin and the escaped runaway Katrina. Who would want these Seven dead? And who is still running the baby market that the Allen/Hayden families were running?
Will Daisy’s husband and kids be able to understand why she had to leave them to protect them?
Who survives who is completely mental and evil, get a copy and find out all these questions and more.

*Thank you to the author for a free e-copy in exchange for an honest review!*

Actual Rating: 4.5

I finally got around to reading this, after having a copy for forever! Before reading this, I had been stuck in a year-long reading slump, so I planned to ease into Seven by reading a few chapters a day. Instead, I laid down in bed, and read the entire thing in one go. That's how much I loved it.

In Seven, a lot of our favorite characters from the previous books return, but the book centers around Daisy Xander. She had been living her life, thinking she was finally free of her past. She thought wrong. Mark Xander's life is flipped upside down by his wife Daisy's decision to leave. Little does he know, things are about to get much worse. His youngest son stumbles upon the dead body of his principal. The same principal who Daisy seemed to have a relationship. And as murders pile up one after another, it becomes obvious - Daisy is very much involved.

As soon as I thought the mystery had finally been solved, the book just hit me with one twist after another and I loved it. (I have to admit, my initial reaction was "that's it?" - but it wasn't it!) I thought the dual storyline style was really interesting as well, and I was really interested to see how they would be tied together.

The characters were great, of course. It feels like I know these characters so well after reading so many books about them. I wasn't the biggest fan of Daisy's point of view, but it was for reasons I can't really fault anyone for. She was just very indecisive - which is COMPLETELY understandable - but I still found myself frustrated.

And of course, the writing style was solid; it was very engaging and stylistic, using fragments and clauses in a way that played around with the rhythm of sentences. The scenes were tailored perfectly, and I felt so many emotions as the book wore on.

If anyone is looking for a thriller/mystery/suspense type of series - this is it. I've read this series, all the way from book one till now, and not once have I been disappointed. Seven is no different.

Daisy Xander has left her husband, Mark, and when her youngest son, Tony, finds a dead man and came face to face with the killer, Daisy knows she has made the right choice. As more people are killed there is a link to Daisy and her brother-in-laws must decide if Daisy is guilty or targeted.

Daisy thought her past was buried but soon she realizes that this will not be over unless she lets herself be killed but will it end with her?

This is another great book in the series which looks at the relationship between Mark Xander and his wife Daisy.

I really liked Mark and it broke my heart at the beginning of the book when he is left picking up the pieces of his four kids after his wife Daisy left them with not a lot of answers. He was doing his best but the murder of high school principal Caden Gervase brought out more pain when it was clear that Daisy knew him quite well.

The murders were well planned and shocking and as a reader you are putting the pieces of the puzzle together along with all the cops Jack, Paige, Ryan and Xavier. The pieces were definitely falling into place when we learn about Daisy's shocking past and how that tied into events of the present.

The events at the pool were shocking and my heart was breaking for everyone involved. I thought it was over but then knew it may not be with how much book was still left. I was definitely shocked at the next few revelations as I was not expecting that at all!

The end was both good and bad as my heart was breaking for Colette and what was still happening with her but I was happy that Daisy and Mark may be getting their lives back on track.

This is the seventh book in the series count to ten. This book follows Mark and Daisy and you get an in depth look into Daisy's past which until now has remained a mystery.
This book was amazing, I could feel Daisy's fear and Mark's loneliness. It was so frustrating to know some of the answers and to patiently wait on Mark to connect the dots. As always Jane's books delve you in and make you forget that you are reading at all. I love the mystery of these books, they are always surprising you and making you make silent bets against yourself!

Book Blurb:
Keep her mouth shut and let a killer get revenge or risk the truth about her coming out?

Daisy Xander has spent her entire life trying to hide who she really is and where she’s come from. But no matter how many measures she has taken and how many sacrifices she has made the truth is about to come out and she’s already chosen how she’s going to deal with it—she’s going to let herself get killed.

For Mark Xander life keeps getting worse and worse. Left to raise his four kids alone, then his youngest son comes face to face with a killer, and his estranged wife seems to have a relationship with the victim. Daisy won’t tell anyone what’s going on and when more victims keep falling it soon becomes clear, Daisy is either involved or she’s on the killer’s list.

One of THE BEST books I've ever read!!!!!

He looks for runways, lures them in with promises of food and shelter but they're easy prey heading for the pits of hell ....

This is one clusterfuck of a family and their family business will send chills down your spine, they're demented!

When the daughter of the family turns 13 she's ready to be groomed for the business but she knows it's wrong and goes to someone she trusts and chaos ensues ....

The past comes to haunt Daisy and she makes a decision that rocks the foundations of her family but a mother will know no lengths to protect her family.....

One by one those responsible for taking down the family business all those years ago are dying in the most brutal fashion and Daisy realises her past is coming for her ....

There may triggers for some folk s rhis book does go to very dark places.

As I've said this must be one of the best books I've ever read and my emotions were all over the place ! I was scared shitless, I cried ,I got angry and I actually physically got sick from this demented family ...

Highly recommended

I read this a couple of days ago but all the feels are still with me!

We have seen very slight glimpses of Daisy and Mark in the previous books, but they seemed to be a strong unit so to read that daiy had left Mark raised so many questions in my mind.

Of course, this is a Jane Blythe books so You know, that whatever the reason was it would be devastating, and it WAS!

Daisy has a childhood trauma, that she hasn’t revealed to her Mark, and this is now impacting on her husband and kids in a devastating manner! But daisy is doing what she can to protect her family. How can that be wrong?

We see Paige and Elias, Ryan, and Sofia, Jack and Laura, Xavier and Annabelle as this couples are so interlinked in their professional and personal lives. But will these characters from previous books, help them navigate through?

There are tears, twists, scares and emotions a-plenty in the instalment of Count to Ten. And I LOVED it!

I was given a free ARC copy and this is my honest review.

Jane's natural talent just keeps growing. I have read every book in the series and they just keep getting better and better. I love that with each story there are so many other stories going on that it keeps you intrigued and glued to the book. The suspense is wonderful and the twist and turns keep you guessing all the way to the end. I love the characters that are able to keep going with everything that is thrown at them and have made them so strong and resilient. They are a family who will do everything they can to protect those they love. There is evil and twisted, murder and mayhem, fear and heartbreak, love and friendship and that is what Jane does best. You just never know who or what is hiding behind doors or around each corner. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

We have gotten to know Mark so well in the previous books in the series and now we FINALLY get one that goes into more detail about his life with his wife Daisy. This book gives you ALL the feels. Jane Blythe did a great job of portraying what both Mark and Daisy were feeling during the time where everything falls apart and how they go about trying to fix it.

This series legit just keeps getting better and better, but dang I wish these characters could get the HEA (maybe in ten) but they are strong, loving, and so freaking supportive of each other.

There is some twisted things in this book, but of course that is what helps grab your attention. I freaking loved it!

PS: I received an ARC in return for my honest review.

Unputdownable!
Seven takes a left turn into thrilltown.
Dark, heartwrenching and gripping.
Jane Blythe weaves a twisted tale and some legacies just won't die.

In this story we get to know more about Mark's family, specifically Daisy Xander.
Her past has come claim her. A killer is out for revenge. Will her family survive?
Daisy is a strong character who is just trying to do the right thing, just like when she was about thirteen years old. But now she has her family to think about. How can she keep them safe.
Time is not on her side and it's a suspenseful ride as we watch it play out

Honestly I don't know where to start. This book had me in my feelings. This story started one way then jumped to a different story, I was confused at first then I thought I was catching on.
Daisy who is one the main characters had my heart breaking. She has gone through so much since she was a child. Honestly I don't think I would have survived. Doing the right thing should be easy. Sometimes for doing the right thing people want to get revenge, because they can't handle the outcome. This story will keep you your toes. I had to put the book down a few times. I can't wait to read book 2. Thank you United Indie Book blog for allowing me to read this book.

Wow! Blown away! Count to Ten is a very addicting series!

Daisy has always kept her past a secret. Now its come back to haunt her putting her family in danger.

Mark is trying his best to raise his children alone since the love of his life walked out of his and their children's lives without a reasonable explanation six months ago.

Dead bodies are used as a countdown until the grand prize is won. As the piece of the puzzle start falling in place, bam the author throws you for a loop heading the opposite direction then another. A unique style of writing!!

Seven is heartbreaking. The things these girls had to endure.

I love this addicting series! Eight due April 2019!!

Family secrets, lies, betrayal. Daisy tried to keep it all to herself. She was ashamed of what her family had done. Hate and jealousy guided his steps. Vengeance for the deaths of his family. They all had to die. A dangerous battle of wills, anger, determination. This series has been intense. Women being used to birth babies who are then sold in the black market, hidden away from the world. The men who did it aren't done yet. Lives threatened. Lives lost. Mark and Daisy are in for the fight of their lives. 6 months she has been away. 6 months she has lived in fear. Great action and intrigue. Plenty of twist and turns. You don't know who to trust and which way to turn. Great read.

Well all I can say is what a fantastic read! I have been reading these books back to back and have thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. To be honest I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book so much as I couldn't imagine why Daisy would have left her family. How wrong was I? This book was absolutely impossible to put down. Twists and turns from all directions, I really couldn't see how the two storylines interconnected. No sooner had the threat been taken care of then another threat came from nowhere! Talk about high adrenaline right until the last page. I 100% recommend this book and cannot wait for the next in the series.

What a way to come out of a reading slump! I hadn’t been feeling the books I was attempting so after weeks of nothing, thought I’d give this book a go. Just a couple of chapters ended up being 90% at 4am and forcing myself to put it down for sleep! It’s nonstop crazy thriller/mystery/suspense from the beginning. I don’t know where the author gets her ideas but this one was just wow, didn’t expect it at all. I’d say this is probably one of the best in the series so far and I can’t wait for Eight!!

Holly Canolli. When you think after six books nothing can surprise you anymore your wrong. If you think you know everything, your wrong again and if you think you know everything about everyone, well your wrong again.
Time has passed, things have changed but one thing is certain after 6 Books. Nothing stays hidden and some Things will never change. Murder, love, trust, no trust, hurt and anger; all surfaces again in ‘Seven’. How will it end? Read to find out! You won’t be disappointed.

Each one of these books in this series has left be totally drained. The twists and turns, the killers victims,  and why Daisy is involved left me totally drained , I honestly could not put it down and when I read the last word I was like no it can't be over.
Mark being left to take care of their kids hurt my heart , not only for him but the kids.
