Silent Guilt is the conclusion to Nick and Sharon’s story-book 2 in the Silent Series and the resolution to one seriously intense cliffhanger. I’ve seen some cliffys in my time, but this one may just be the worst (or best, depending on how you look at it) that I’ve seen. Nick has a heck of a lot to answer for and explain. There are three things that he could have done that will forever change his life.
One thing was all lies.
One thing was completely true.
One thing was a horrible mistake that must be made right.
What are these three things? I can't tell you that! That would be giving too much away. I will say this. This book is told almost completely in Nick's POV and normally I enjoy that immensely but in this case, not so much. This example of male point of view I honestly didn't care for-getting inside his head was certainly enlightening but it didn't endear him to me in the least. I didn't care for his less than loving thoughts, (and really at times, I thought, "Did he really just say that??") his continuing anger issues, and his inability to be honest with Shannon about several things. He keeps secrets and his actions towards her during several times were definitely not acceptable. And yes, I knew he was no boy scout who says please and thank you and all the right stuff. I can handle a rude bad boy hero but he has to be balanced out with some sweet. I need some affectionate, romantic moments mixed in and I wasn't seeing a whole lot of that. Everything he was in book one seemed magnified and exposed and not in a good way. I can see the appeal for other people perhaps, but personally he wasn't doing it for me. Overall, getting inside this guy's head, I came away feeling dislike and a little bit disturbed.
One thing we know from book 1 is that Nick's extreme hate of his father branches from his physical abuse of his mother, his controlling, selfish, and sadistic ways caused him to not just dislike him, but utterly despise the air he breathes. Based on what we learn about his father, his feelings are justified but his resulting anger and lack of control over it is a problem. Nick has come considerable rage built up from all the injustice he was forced to endure through childhood and his only outlet is
a) punching some holes in his walls at home
or
b) going a few rounds in the ring with his best friend at his sister's gym.
Any mention of his father has his loved ones cringing and rushing to intervene in the impending explosion. This guy was like an overinflated balloon, ready to pop at any moment. And that pop was inevitable and nerve wracking. You knew it was going to happen-the question was when.
Shannon is dealing with the consequences of her admission to Nick at the end of the previous book.
She's dealing with feelings of shame and fear and has several unresolved things with him that need to be put out there, communicated about, and moved on from. Not only that, but can she forgive Nick when she learns all the secrets and half-truths he's been telling her? Sometimes I felt like she too easily accepted his actions and I felt like she should've made him work a little bit harder to get back in her good graces. In a way, after reading the revelation at the end of the book, I can kind of understand her actions, but I still would have liked to see her make him more accountable for certain things.
In this book, everything revolves around one thing: His extreme guilt and feelings like she deserves better than him. He's guilty over things long ago, and things in the recent past. He feels responsible for some things that really he had no control over. And he feels like he can't possibly ever tell Shannon and risk her never looking at him the same again. There were times where I felt for him and sympathized. This man clearly did love this woman and was willing to do anything to make her feel safe and happy again. He pushed society's boundaries of what's right and wrong. He loved her passionately and completely-he just wasn't the best at how to act in a relationships. This guy sure did make some bad decisions but you did see that his heart was with one woman, wholly and completely.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this book as much as I did the first one. I was disappointed in Nick's actions and it didn't seem like he had changed that much by the end of the book. Which didn't leave much hope that he wouldn't continue with his bad behavior in the future. I did like the surprise at the end and the Epilogue in Shannon's POV. Not everyone is going to feel the way I do about Nick-some may completely understand his actions, but being real, he never totally won me over.
If you're thinking of reading this series, reading both books together is NOT optional. I completely sympathize with everyone who had to wait for book two's release. I challenge anyone to put off reading Silent Guilt after the ending in book one. Whatever problems I may have, I will say that these books certainly pulled me in and left no room for boredom or mild feelings. It's not a quiet Sunday stroll through the park. It's more like an uphill marathon that doesn't quit.

Once again, N.E. Henderson has rocked my world. I love this book. The conclusion of Shannon and Nick did not disappoint.
Book one ended with a jaw dropping cliffhanger that left us spinning with questions. Well, this book picks up right where book 1 left off and gets straight to the point.
I loved Nick. He was seriously a sexy Alpha Male. He has all his love to give and yet he can't help but to be an Ass at times. He knows it and works hard to prove himself worthy of Shannon even with all the guilt he carries around day to day.
Shannon is feisty. She doesn't take Nicks shit and isn't afraid to throw a mean right hook. After everything that happened in book one she stands tall and holds her head high. She is one hell of a heroin.
These two were so perfect together. I loved watching them figure it all out. And how about those bits and pieces of Nikki and Jase we got? WOW! I can't wait to get their book. It's going to be scorching hot!
And once again this Author proves she obviously has great taste in music. I mean seriously, who doesn't love Jacoby Shaddix. I still jam Metamorphosis at least once or twice a week. :-D
Over all I loved this book. This book was well worth the wait. If you haven't read Silent No More (book 1) you must start there. You will not regret this series!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series. Yeah, the characters (especially Nicholas) were over-the-top but it added a lot of drama to the story, which I found entertaining. This book I didn't much care for, even though I did manage to finish it. Where Nicholas was entertaining in book 1 he was just plain annoying in this one. His constant stomping around like a toddler, flying off the hook and not letting anyone explain anything made me keep thinking he needed to be on some serious meds. Either that or he needed someone to explain to him that not everything and everyone revolved around him. His callousness with Shannon appalled me and his acceptance of his mother's actions was disgusting. I think Shannon was supposed to come off as a strong character but to me she seemed spineless. The way she let Nicholas talk so horribly to her every time he misunderstood what was going on amazed me, especially since she was always so quick to forgive him. I'm normally the reader who roots for the main characters to work out but when reading this book I kept thinking she could do so much better than him. The ending really disappointed me.
One last BIG pet peeve of mine - Nicholas and his best friend Jase are always bantering back and forth, insulting each other. Why is it an insult to men to be called a girl? It felt like half their insults consisted of calling each other "little girls" or saying things like "my sister can hit harder than that". The only thing worse than being called a girl would be to be called a guy, especially if they're anything like these two losers.

The first book ended on a cliff hanger but this book was just as bad as the first one…how many times do you have to promise someone you’re not leaving and then end up leaving every time and throw yourself a pity party? This was not it for me, luckily it was a quick read.

This book picked up exactly from when the first one ended. I loved the first book but I've got to be honest and say that I'm hugely disappointed with this second one. My first complaint is that there were so many grammatical errors, way more than the first book which was so very annoying and unnecessary, whatever happened to editing? Secondly I didn't feel the strong sense of guilt that Nick felt, I thought it was way over the top. Thirdly I really felt the relationship between Nick and Shannon deteriorated in this book, he was always so angry and aggressive and Shannon wasn't much better, they were forever fighting and yelling and saying "fuck" every other word. I have no objection to strong language but in this case I felt it was too much. The relationship between Nick's sister Nicki and his best friend Jase, (also Nicki's long term on/off boyfriend) was so unhealthy and not in the least attractive which means that the third book to be released about Nicki and Jase leaves me with absolutely no interest in reading their story. After having really enjoyed the first book I just feel cheated that I was so disappointed with the sequel. In view of this I only gave it 2 stars.

I really got tired of Nick being an asshole and leaving Shannon so many times throughout the entire book & Shannon taking him back each time after being treated like crap. It wasn’t in Shannon’s character to not have a backbone after being a feisty fighter red head.

I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t. The plot was all over the place. You can get whip lash alone from Nick’s anger and mood swings. He is a literal walking red flag.

2.5⭐️ okay so this wasn’t necessarily worse than the first book, but I feel like we kinda lost the plot on the way here. It also much like the first one, gave Wattpad story vibes icl.
I don’t have anything good to say tbh, the only thing would be that we finally got the character development for the FMC I was hoping for (very sudden and not extremely well written, but story wise necessary and well placed), and the writing style improved a bit there.
The thing I absolutely hated was, that the first half of this book was suddenly filled with so much backhanded misogyny- stuff like: “oh god, I’m such a girl..” “i’m a man after all” “as a man…” “I’m not a pussy” “for a woman she isn’t half bad” “…I fight like a little girl” “chicks” “female” “women.” The only thing missing would’ve been the coffee mug emoji behind it.
Istg I don’t know what happened but the amount of those comments was actually insane and suddenly increased tenfold. Every other page had at least a hand full of those in it, and I wish I was exaggerating rn.
So much internalized misogyny it actually hurt to read it at some point. Thankfully it only held on till like half the book but still.
So besides all that I actually did like the FMCs character development and Jase/Nikkis side story a lot. Would’ve loved to see more of that and how it turned out.
In general I believe there were many plot holes near the end, or just stuff that was mentioned and never brought up again (which I can’t stand), as well as maybe two logic mistakes that I can recall right now.
But I loved the bonus Scene. Kinda summed the bit of a plot up that we got.

I sooooo loved Silent No More and was itching for book two with the way that it ended. I'm so glad this starts off literally right where the first one ended. I was shocked it was in Nicks POV and would've liked it dual but the story was still great. What I didn't like though which caused a star drop was Nicks constant running. Seriously his mind gave me whip lashed he was more all over the place then a female. I thought the ending needed more too and seriously what was up with that tattoo chick at the end......awkward!! This was not what I expected but still a good story to read. I'm sure Nikkis story will be very interesting too.

I do remember how the first book ended, the guy left her even when she said that she was pregnant...that's it, that's the only thing that I do remember!!
Little by little, I was able to pick up a few forgotten scenes from the first book, I mean, hell, I even forgot that the main guys from book 1 & 2 are/were male escorts!
There's really not much happening and the novel is pretty short..

Why in Gods name would anyone choose to “jokingly” refer to their unborn baby as “ the little shit” as a term of endearment. This book was sadly as bad as the first. The “hero” is more aggressive toxic asshole than “Alpha male” which was likely the authors intention. The hero is controlling and belittling and sends a terrible message as to how a female should be treated - his behavior was not in line with the storyline of a True love story and completely missed it’s mark.

** JOSIE'S 5 STAR REVEIW **
*If you have not read the first book Silent No More, please do not read this review, it will have spoilers. It is best to read the first book in this series.*
I absolutely loved the first book in this series and was not so anxiously waiting for this one to come out. If you read book 1 you know we were left with a hell of a Cliffhanger. Silent Guilt is the conclusion to Nick and Shannon’s story but this time it is told through Nick’s POV. Ok we all know that Nick is a total dominant, alpha sexy dirty talking sex god, so can you imagine what goes through his mind!!! N.E. Henderson did not disappoint, she hit this one right out of the park. I loved everything about this book.
At the end of the first book, Nick walks away from a pregnant Shannon. He is not able to get over what his father had done to Shannon all those years ago and the guilt he has for not seeing the truth. In Silent Guilt we see Nick and Shannon relationship take on many ups and downs, truths, secretes, love, anger, distrust and really really HOT NICK SEX. Nick knows he has messed up when he realizes that Shannon is gone, not even his own sister told him the truth about their father or that Shannon has left.
Nick, what can I say about Nick, only that I loved him in Silent No More and after reading this one, he has become my ultimate BBF. He is an extremely sexy, he stops at nothing to get Shannon back. He is confused because he never knew he wanted a child but he knows he does not want anything to happen to it and wants Shannon and him to be ok. Nick is a loving man, he loves just as intense as he does everything in his life. Because of Nick’s Dominance, he tends to be an asshole at times, and pushes Shannon to hard. He knows he messed up and throughout the book is tries to become a better man. It is hard to read Nick’s thoughts because he feels that his father raped Shannon because of something that happened in Nicks past. He has to try and find a way to forgive himself and let go of the guilt or else he can lose the people who matter to him the most.
“You don’t know what anything has been like for me. You left. You walked out of the f**king door like it didn’t; matter. Like I didn’t matter. Like we didn’t matter to you one bit. After everything we said and everything I told you. You left. You f**king left me.”
“Don’t say that. I’m sorry okay? But don’t think for a f**king minute that you don’t matter to me. You matter more than anyone ever has or ever f**king will.”
Shannon is the same feisty woman we got in the first book, but she is also understanding, loving and bitchy with Nick when she needs too. Shannon does not mind being dominated in the bedroom but she does not let and will not let Nick push her around in other aspects of their relationship. She knows Nick is keeping something from her and while she understands, she also lets him know that he will have to tell her eventually. She was strong in book 1 when she told Nick the truth about what happened with Nick and his father and she has become stronger because of that. She is not ashamed of what happened. She has trouble sleeping and has nightmares but to me she became a spokeswoman for women who suffered sexual abuse; she moves on slowly and takes control of her life.
“Yeah, I know that, but what am I supposed to call him? I’m not calling him an it.”
“Oh, well, I’ve settled on my minion, but that’s my word. You can’t use it.”
“I’m not calling our baby a minion and neither are you, damn it.” My baby is not a f**king minion.
“I’ll call my baby anything I want. Get over it, Nick.”
“He’s not a f**king minion.”
Nick and Shannon are great together; they bring out the best in each other. Sexually of the charts (SMOKING HOT). Nick knows how to work it in the bedroom (WET PANTIES LADIES).
“Like the taste?”
“Do you even have to ask? You’re my favorite meal to eat, baby? And you’re te best thing I ever smelled. Nothing can compare to this scent.”
“This is what you do to me, you make my d*ck desperate for this wet, pu**y right here. It aches for you. Your pretty little wet pu**y is the only thing that can make it stop.”

I really loved the secondary characters. Nikki (Nicks sister) and Jase (Nicks best friend) are great, supportive, loving, caring and funny as hell. The slurry mole troll bitch, Teresa is far from gone and so is Chaney. I just knew what happened in book 1 had more to do with the story and with Nick, true to is alpha male form takes control!!!
“Don’t throw my phone. I just replaced it the son of bitch yesterday.”
“Can you people pipe the f*ck down or go into another f**king room?”
“Oh come the f**k on, you two take that shit the f**k home.”
“Stop the f**k now. This, whatever it is you think could happen between us, isn’t going to happen. I have a girlfriend and she isn’t you. She won’t ever be you. So you can stop now and we can forget it. If not, then you will be looking for another job. Now, do you understand?”
“What you’re back with her, that bitch who screwed your father? Are you serious?”
“Were you in Vegas taking photographs for your next project or were you there because you went behind my back and took Jeffrey Chaney on as client.”

This was an amazing conclusion to Nick and Shannon’s story. NE Henderson has delivered another great read, and the wait for Book 2 was absolutely worth it. I was not disappointed at all. I can’t wait to see some of Nick and Shannon in other books, which I assume the next will be Jase’s and Nikki’s. God I hope so, because what the author showed us in this book, their story is going to be one hell of steamy book.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series and was not so anxiously waiting for this one to come out. If you read book 1 you know we were left with a hell of a Cliffhanger. Silent Guilt is the conclusion to Nick and Shannon’s story but this time it is told through Nick’s POV. Ok we all know that Nick is a total dominant, alpha sexy dirty talking sex god, so can you imagine what goes through his mind!!! N.E. Henderson did not disappoint, she hit this one right out of the park. I loved everything about this book.
At the end of the first book, Nick walks away from a pregnant Shannon. He is not able to get over what his father had done to Shannon all those years ago and the guilt he has for not seeing the truth. In Silent Guilt we see Nick and Shannon relationship take on many ups and downs, truths, secretes, love, anger, distrust and really really HOT NICK SEX. Nick knows he has messed up when he realizes that Shannon is gone, not even his own sister told him the truth about their father or that Shannon has left.
Nick, what can I say about Nick, only that I loved him in Silent No More and after reading this one, he has become my ultimate BBF. He is an extremely sexy, he stops at nothing to get Shannon back. He is confused because he never knew he wanted a child but he knows he does not want anything to happen to it and wants Shannon and him to be ok. Nick is a loving man, he loves just as intense as he does everything in his life. Because of Nick’s Dominance, he tends to be an asshole at times, and pushes Shannon to hard. He knows he messed up and throughout the book is tries to become a better man. It is hard to read Nick’s thoughts because he feels that his father raped Shannon because of something that happened in Nicks past. He has to try and find a way to forgive himself and let go of the guilt or else he can lose the people who matter to him the most.
“You don’t know what anything has been like for me. You left. You walked out of the f**king door like it didn’t; matter. Like I didn’t matter. Like we didn’t matter to you one bit. After everything we said and everything I told you. You left. You f**king left me.”
“Don’t say that. I’m sorry okay? But don’t think for a f**king minute that you don’t matter to me. You matter more than anyone ever has or ever f**king will.”
Shannon is the same feisty woman we got in the first book, but she is also understanding, loving and bitchy with Nick when she needs too. Shannon does not mind being dominated in the bedroom but she does not let and will not let Nick push her around in other aspects of their relationship. She knows Nick is keeping something from her and while she understands, she also lets him know that he will have to tell her eventually. She was strong in book 1 when she told Nick the truth about what happened with Nick and his father and she has become stronger because of that. She is not ashamed of what happened. She has trouble sleeping and has nightmares but to me she became a spokeswoman for women who suffered sexual abuse; she moves on slowly and takes control of her life.
“Yeah, I know that, but what am I supposed to call him? I’m not calling him an it.”
“Oh, well, I’ve settled on my minion, but that’s my word. You can’t use it.”
“I’m not calling our baby a minion and neither are you, damn it.” My baby is not a f**king minion.

Nick and Shannon are great together; they bring out the best in each other. Sexually of the charts (SMOKING HOT). Nick knows how to work it in the bedroom (WET PANTIES LADIES).

I really loved the secondary characters. Nikki (Nicks sister) and Jase (Nicks best friend) are great, supportive, loving, caring and funny as hell. The slurry mole troll bitch, Teresa is far from gone and so is Chaney. I just knew what happened in book 1 had more to do with the story and with Nick, true to is alpha male form takes control!!!

Nicholas Lockhart is hiding something and he can't get over his guilt in the part that he played in the terrible act against Shannon Taylor.

Silent Guilt is the second book from this author and I would highly recommend you read Silent No More first as it gives you the back ground for Nick and Shannon and more of her POV. I found this to be a rather quick read to be honest. It read smoothly and it was pretty clear what was going on. Nick was faced with the woman he loved being hurt once again and revenge on his mind. This created a situation that carried throughout the book in many different ways. I felt at times he was even amazed at how many people were trying to break them up or derail his happiness.
I loved how Nick was trying his best to turn from his butt headed attitude to become the man Shannon needed and she didn’t always make it easy on him. With her being pregnant and the moods flipping back and forth, the one thing I admired most about her was she would get in anyone’s face to defend Nick. I wish I could say the same for him, but he fell in to the old ways of thinking and reacted without thinking a few times that left Shannon broken hearted.
As if this wasn’t enough, there were truths that were about to be discovered that were going to lead him to “clean house” so to say of those who were against Shannon. Lies that he had been fed were creating situations for that poor guy that left him trying to figure out how to make it up to the woman carrying his child. It felt like just as he felt he could see the light at the end of the tunnel, he realized it was another train coming to destroy what he was trying to build with her. He of course had his alpha moments when he wanted to make her decisions and take control of the situation. I felt Shannon had a pretty good read on when to pick her battles with him. I felt for him because I think he was spending most of his time trying to make amends for his past life and mistakes, when Shannon had already accepted him for who he is.
Of course there were times I was laughing out loud with his comments, especially the names they came up with for the baby, but overall it was just so nice to see them finally get the life they wanted and deserved. While there were a few twists and turns, I didn’t find anything really intense or over the top dramatic which is why I wasn’t able to give it a five. I think this could have been taken a bit farther as far as the intensity level goes and I regret that I am not left feeling very emotional about the story or characters, but it is still a great book.

I love Nick best friend Jase. Poor guy is suffering. He wants to be married to Nick's sister but she keeps pushing him off. So this is a interesting story of Nick and Shannon. Love nick and all his flaws. Nick has just found out some disturbing things. Things that make him feel like he is worthless and how if 10 yrs ago he made a different decision nothing like what happened had. Guilt takes over. He does something rash and than walks away from Shannon. He doesn't want Shannon to know how bad he is. Doesn't give her a chance..
shannon is pregnant and confused. Nick keeps walking away and she doesn't know why. they love each other so what is going on? It isn't until she goes to Vegas that these two try to patch things up. Silent Guilt picks up right where we are left at the end of Silent No More. Definitely a lot of high drama going on here, and you really are going to want to read Silent No More before reading this one. Shannon and Nick are very much in love, but they have found that their lives have a dark connection that threatens their already challenging relationship. Nick struggles with his own demons that tell him he is responsible for some of Shannon's pain and he feels that he will be and for her if he stays in her life. Shannon is devastated by Nick's erratic behavior and feels that she can't live without him even though living with him is also challenging. It is unclear whether Nick will be able to tackle his demons and be the man that Shannon needs him to be.
Get ready people, because the emotions in this book are all over the place. This is one of those books where I connected with the characters even though I would not want to be in this relationship. There is tons of passion, but with the intense love and lust comes the other side of that coin, which is a hot temper and a short fuse. It was tough to see Nick want to be the person that Shannon needs, but finding himself over and over unable to keep his emotions and behaviors in check. I love it when we get to experience stories through characters who are flawed. It makes a book feel more real when the people in it react badly to things sometimes, make poor choices, and have to deal with and figure things out after experiencing the consequences of their choices. Through all the chaos and drama I really did want Shannon and Nick to figure things out and find a way to be together in a way they both deserved. This book held my attention throughout and I am hoping that we may get more books in this series to continue to get to know Nikki better and see where things go in her relationship with Jase. There is a whole lot of sexy in this book, and I have a feeling I'd love to get to see the kind of sexy times Nikki enjoys!

I couldn’t wait for this book to come out. I fell in love with crazy, jealous and over the top Nick in book one. He didn’t disappoint in this book either. Although, at times, I wished he would have listened to an explanation—he wouldn’t be the Nick we came to love if he would have let people explain themselves. Ms. Henderson wrote a great follow-up to Silent No More. I liked seeing Shannon work through her issues and stay strong even when Nick wasn’t always around to be there for her.

I can't say that this novel was better or not but the characters were a little more nice, especially Nick, who is trying to fix the problems that are in his life and he's trying to deal with his past and trying to help Shannon to move on. Somehow they make baby steps in their lifes and in their relationship and that's a good thing.
But I don't want to spoil you, so if you want to know more then read this book (but just after you read the first one) and maybe you'll enjoy more than I did.
This books for me were like summer reads because you read them so fast and you are sucked in the story from the first lines. And if you can understand and like the characters then you did a good thing picking them up. They are not my favorite series and I don't know if I'll read the sequel (if there's one) but they were an ok read, sometimes I'd liked them better, sometimes not. I think they deserve a try because they are not bad, the characters have issues.

Silent Guilt picks up where Silent No More ended. For those who take arms against cliff hangers, have no fear, Silent Guilt wraps Nick and Shannon’s story up. As sad as that made me, I loved taking the journey NE Henderson created. It was impossible not to feel the jumble of emotions which twisted the lives of both Nick and Shannon. They are both extremely passionate people who go after what they want and often act before thinking. Luckily, they have one another to balance their relationship!
Nick is as sexy as ever – it is hard not to want to punch him in the mouth at times, then turn around and kiss the hurt away. There is no doubt why Shannon is drawn to him. We get to hear Nick’s thoughts in Silent Guilt which opens up a new insight into his mind and feelings. There is so much more to Nick than could have been imagined in Silent No More.
And seeing Shannon through Nick’s eyes, paints her as even more breath- taking. Silent Guilt has two knights in shining armor – the lengths the two of them are willing to go to rescue one another is beautiful.
Silent Guilt is a must read; however, I strongly advise that you read Silent No More first in order to truly appreciate the entire story.

Secrets were revealed in Silent No More which left Nick absolutely shattered. He felt responsible and he carried the guilt on his shoulders. He felt all events were linked to something that occurred a decade before. In his mind, the only way to protect Shannon from his secrets and the destruction that follows him, is to just let her go. Nick needs to be in control. When control is taken from him, he loses his mind and does stupid things.
This book picks up where Silent No More left off, with Shannon pregnant and alone. The secrets can tear them apart but the truth could have the same effect. When all is said and done, can they move forward? Or are they better off going their separate ways?

There were so many reveals at the end of the Silent No More that I couldn't wait to read this one to see what was going to happen next.
I loved Sharon as she is spunky and doesn't hesitate to call Nick out on his mess. Although Nick is one sexy alpha man, he definitely has some serious issues. The one that made me want to shake him really hard was his tendency to react and not get the whole story first which caused much of their problems. Granted he really didn't have that male role model of anger management considering his dad...well just his dad. His mom wasn't high on my list since she repeatedly tries to break them up and continues to make excuses for her husband even after...well just after. I loved Jase who seemed to be the sane one, well except for that whole Nikki issue. I can't wait to read more of their story.
The author wrote this story so well that I couldn't put it down until the very end of it. She left me wanting more even then. That's my kind of book.

Silent Guilt by NE Henderson picks up where Silent No More ends. Nick is walking out of Shannon's door and her life for good. Nick has been miserable without her, but knows she is better off without him. Nick is so stubborn that he didn't even give Shannon a chance to explain the truth. There is something Shannon told him as he was walking out the door that makes him want her more than anything. More than anything Shannon wants Nick back but he has to learn to let go. Just as things between the two begin to look up, another twist happens. This book makes you think as much as this couple has been together and what they go through is it really worth it. Sometimes I worry when I know the first book is a cliffhanger. Can the second book live up to the first, yes this one did. I liked they fact that the characters had chemistry even though they were both stubborn. I would recommend this book. I cannot wait to read more from NE Henderson.

Ah I have literally just finished and wow, I'm feeling so many emotions at this moment....yay for Nick and Shannon absolutely love these two and I am so glad for the HEA! I found this to be a quick, raw emotional read, I had chuckle at some parts and crying at times and shocked too. When I first started reading I didn't realise that this was all in Nicks POV and at first I was disappointed but as soon as I started reading I loved it and just couldn't put it down. The epilogue was brilliant and i don't know how Shannon did not smack eve upside her head coz I wanted to hahaha........ I think this writer has amazing talent and I can't wait to read Jase & Nikki's story, that should be a bloody great read!
