Much like the last volume, I really liked the first couple episodes but got progressively bored. This volume seems really random and I'm not sure what it has to do with the overarching plot. Also, the bear scene was kind of stupid. The last few panels were funny, but the payoff wasn't worth the wasted page.

On a more positive note, I liked meeting more of Chiho's family! The scene where they met Maou, Ashiya, and Urushihara was super funny. I think I would have actually died if I was Maou or Chi. I wish we got some scene's from their perspective -- I'm super curious as to what they actually think of the gang! Another thing I liked was seeing Maou spend time with Alas-Ramus. It's kind of upsetting how little time they spend together considering that their relationship was such a big plot point a few volumes ago.

I have access to the next two volumes, so I'll read at least those two and then decide if I want to continue with the series since I haven't been loving the past few volumes.

This volume covers beyond vol 5 of the light novel, so you get great dialogue with this mangaka exclusive story.

A much slower volume but yet still rife with Comidic Moments!

The bear scene made me chuckle somewhat.
Although I am wondering when the next big twist will be coming up

I loved, loved, loved that stargazing part. Just perfect. Chef's kiss. Chiho's family is pretty great too, I am digging Kazuma and gang. They seem fun. I think I've finally figured but why I dislike Emi so much, she's just so forceful that it gets on my nerves. I still don't like Alas, like what even is the point of her. And why don't they just keep her in the sword? That would be cost effective and they don't have to carry her around, which lead misunderstandings. I don't get it. Ugh.

Also, Emi x Maou, just stop. Eeek. Why. Ugh. I freaking love the enemies to lovers trope, even better if it's the goddamn devil and a female hero! But here, nothing. I feel absolutely nothing. Just a goddamn void. Ugh. I can't.
