Definitely a very brief biography of William Penn, basically how he acquired the territory that was called Pennsylvania, translates to Pennsylvania Forest. The fact that Penn was a Quaker and a peaceful man is seen throughout the very basic text.
Illustrations done in watercolor and ink alternate between a double page color illustration and a single page ink only illustration.
Aliki was a prolific and well respected writer and illustrator during her career.
