Krwawe i brutalne. Znani już bohaterowie ujawniają nowe cechy swego charakteru. Bohaterowie dzielą się na osoby. Autorzy przeciwstawili sobie Kriss de Valnor, bardzo niezależną i niebezpieczną, i Aaricię, która także jest silna i potrafi sama podejmować decyzje, ale rodzina jest dla niej ważna. Zagrożeniem jest pozornie neutralny Tjall. Ten tom łączy się silnie z tomami Oczy Tanatloca i Kraina Qa.

Ich bin ein Alien, holt mich hier raus!
Thorgal hat schon ein bisschen Pech. Er taumelt sein ganzes Leben von einer Katastrophe in die nächste - und die aktuelle Situation ist auch nicht gerade einfach. Im tiefsten Dschungel verborgen liegt die Stadt Mayaxatl, und in dieser Festung aus Stein und ihm völlig hörigen Menschen sitzt er, Ogotai, und wartet auf sie. Man ahnt, dass er nicht wirklich ein Gott ist, doch was ist er dann?

Mich reißt dieser Mehrteiler nicht so mit, wie es die Bände davor taten. Wie schon erwähnt passt Rosinskis Zeichenstil einfach besser zu dunklen, engen Räumen, als zu lichtdurchfluteten, weitläufigen Landschaften. Und der Plot ist dann halt inzwischen, im dritten Teil, schon leicht vorhersehbar. Nun gibt es immerhin ein paar weitere Krümel, die Thorgals Existenz erläutern und ihn in die große Weltkonstruktion einfügen, und eine recht plausible, gleichzeitig sehr deprimierende Erklärung, warum der von ihm so ersehnte Friede ihm verwehrt bleibt.

Trotzdem bleibe ich weiter gespannt auf das Schicksal dieses Sternenkinds. Wie kommt er zurück in seine Heimat? Was geschieht mit Kriss, Jolan und Pied d'arbre? Viele Fragen, die der letzte Band der Tetralogie klären muss. Dschungelkönig wird Thorgal jedenfalls nicht, da bin ich mir schon sicher.

La résolution de cette aventure avec beaucoup de révélations et de moments intenses. J'étais dans l'histoire et son dénouement était vraiment dur à lire maintenant que je suis bien attachée aux personnages. Une bonne relecture du mythe des civilisations d'Amérique du Sud et un bon mélange avec l'étrange origine de Thorgal.

De vier albums die in het land Qâ spelen, vormen op zichzelf al het hoogtepunt van de reeks, maar daarbinnen bereikt het verhaal in 'De stad van de verloren god' zijn climax. Het is een vooral spannend, maar niettemin ook tragisch verhaal, waarin de in de allereerste album uitgezette verhaallijn min of meer wordt afgerond. Zoals in veel andere Thorgal-albums vallen er doden bij bosjes en dit keer hoor je Thorgal op blz. 37 dan ook zelf verzuchten: "Waarom moet mijn leven voortdurend doordrenkt zijn van lijden en dood, terwijl ik niets anders verlang dan vrede en de liefde van degene die me na staan? Waarom? WAAROM?"

Mimo, że to trzecia część wizyty Thorgala i spółki w prekolumbijskiej Ameryce Południowej, to jest to finał tej mini serii. Kolejna część to taki mały aftermatch.

Jolan uczy się swoich nowych zdolności, a w tym czasie Thorgal wraz z ekipą trafia do celu i szykuje się do konfrontacji z krwiożerczym Ogotai'em. W tym miejscu wszystko zostanie wyjaśnione, a zakończenie będzie słodko-gorzkie.

Kolejny świetny tom, rozbudowujący lore świata Thorgala, sięgając po jego korzenie. Tym razem już chyba po raz ostatni, gdyż była to jedna z ostatnich pozycji z serii, z jakimi miałem do czynienia. Złoto.

This album, 4 of the 5 part storyline, follows the fateful events after Thorgal and his team reaches the terrible land Mayaxatl, the head city of land of Qa where the supernatural and bloodthirsty Ogotai reigns.


With many many surprising twists and turns, the story shows the fate of Mayaxatl and its ruler and even Tjall and Kriss of Valnor.


It feels too much has been revealed, matched up unconvincingly in less pages (especially the part about Thorgal's mother)

J'aime que les auteurs de la série Thorgal n'aient pas peur de laisser partir des personnages auxquels on s'est pourtant attachés. Cela est le cas dans ce tome important du Cycle du pays Qâ. Thorgal nous entraine encore dans une nouvelle aventure, au récit intrigant et aux illustrations très réussies (surtout dans ce tome, la cité perdue), dans un cycle "LE GRAND PAYS" composé des tomes 9 à 13. Les dialogues, les personnages, et l'originalité et les aspects réalistes du récit, que je découvre longtemps après sa sortie, en font, pour moi, une œuvre majeure.

Lo scontro finale fra padre e figlio, entrambi esseri venuti dalle stelle, ma anche la morte e il riscatto di Tjall l'impetuoso e il destino infausto di Kriss di Valnor. UN numero densissimo e spettacolare, per disegni, per trama, per tutto. Thorgal continua a stupire.

Egzekucja skazańców: powieszenie za ręce i zrzucenie z wysokości krokodylom na pożarcie. Uderzenie kobiety w głowę w dwóch różnych sytuacjach, raz do nieprzytomności. Masowe rytualne mordy z prezentacją zakrwawionych ofiar. To nie dla dzieci.

Le cycle de Qa est excellent et cet avant dernier chapitre réussi.
Bien avant Game of Thrones, Van Hamme osait tuer ses personnages. Dommage que la couverture annihile (légèrement) le suspense.

Great opening and some of the best panels of the series so far. The twists and turns of the story culminating in the fight between Thorgal and his father are terrific and Tjall's death is well done. Solid ending to their journey in the land of Qa.

Zakończenie jednego z najlepszych story arców w historii serii. Bardzo dobrze napisana i świetnie zilustrowana. Uwielbiam też okładkę (choć do dziś nie rozumie, czemu jest tak straszliwie spoilerowa?). A ten jeden kadr z finału gdy szaleństwo Ogotaia opuszcza jego oczy i na ten jeden, ostatni moment pojawia się znów Varth, to po prostu majstersztyk.
