4,5 'My Wolf' stars

“I didn’t think I’d see you again,” he growled into my neck, his breath warm on my skin.
I laughed at the absurdity of his statement. How could my own dream lover be surprised to see me?
He sighed into my hair. “I’ve missed you.”

This was such a crazy ride. Part PNR, part mystery, part family drama, and heavy on the mythology. The book takes place in the same universe as the rest of The Trickster series but is focused on a different couple. (However, Loki and Caroline are present almost the whole time. Yay!)

This is the story of Vali, the younger son of Loki and Sigyn. Those familiar with Norse mythology know about Vali's horrible fate. I never liked Óðinn but what he did to Nari and Vali... He got my eternal hate because of that.

“You think you’re a monster? You? Because you were trapped? Because you were tortured, and forced to do something terrible? That doesn’t make you a monster, Vali! That makes you the victim of monsters!”

Anyway, back on track. Vali has been trapped in a wolf form for centuries. And the only time he is able to be himself is in dreams.

Enter Karen McDonald, the expert for wolves in Montana. Who's been having strange dreams about a naked sexy man for some time? Well, who hasn't had such dreams once or twice (or many times). But her dream lover turns out to be very very real. And very very wolf.

I was only dimly aware of Vali lowering me to the ground, and the tickle of grass against my thighs. My eyes slowly refocused to find Vali’s full lips and high cheekbones, his dark curls against the cerulean sky.
“My woman,” he said, his voice hoarse.
“My wolf,” I replied.

I don't want to spoil too much, especially because there are so many mysterious things to unravel. I'm just gonna say that Karen and Vali are a great couple. Caroline and Loki are amazing as side characters. And I'm so curious what will happen next? So much to look forward to!

“Is everything—” I paused, wrapping my arm around the swell of my belly. “Is everything going to turn out all right?”
Loki raised an eyebrow. “Oh, I’ve absolutely no idea. But we’ve all managed so far.”

Samantha MacLeod really is the most wonderful writer. Reading her work is such a treat for me -- it's something I like to savor. Her prose is beautiful and her characters are raw and real. She writes the perfect Loki.

While I think this could maybe kind of be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading The Trickster's Lover so you can really get into the feels of this book. Wonderful job! Another highly recommended mythology romance read!

The Wolf’s Lover by Samantha Macleod a spellbinding five-star read. This book will keep you on the edge of the seat, Karen MacDonald was a woman who followed her dreams to places she never imagined. She was a great character, whom you could feel her emotions and could imagine seeing the world through her eyes. The author had a great talent with her words the descriptions of the wolves and the mythology were amazing and you could see everything unfold in fount of your eyes. What a compelling read, Vali was a great character but there was something about Karen that just made her stand out to me as one of the best characters I’ve read for a long time.

Another Great Norse Fantasy!

"Damn, I really should have picked up the house a bit before I charged off to Yellowstone to chase a dragon with a Norse god and his wife".

Given what little the mythology tells us about Vali, that mostly being about his horrible fate, I really had no idea what to expect here. The story took full advantage of that in the best of ways, seeping sensuality, action, and even humor. I didn't want it to end.

While this one was a little harder for me to connect to at first than Book 1 (Trickster’s Lover), I really enjoyed the twists and turns it took, especially once we see beyond the surface of Karen’s character (those cave scenes - oh man!). Loki and Caroline’s reappearance was the absolute highlight for me and I continue to love how Samantha weaves her unique spin on old mythologies. Trigger warnings for grief, sexual assault, suicide, and loss of a child.

The Wolf's Lover is an exciting Romance featuring several Norse gods. The author did an amazing job keeping my interest. The story easily flowed and the description of Yellowstone was amazing. I did come across a few grammatical errors but they can be easily overlooked. If you are not a fan of steamy sex scenes I don't recommend this novel for you but for those who do you will love this novel.

The Wolf’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod is a brilliant fantasy, with paranormal elements, Norse Mythology, dragons, drama, action, adventure and romance. There is so much to like about this complex, well developed storyline. It is a captivating read right from the very first page. I loved the author’s spin on the mythological aspects, as well as this books connection to previous stories.
Karen McDonald is a wildlife researcher who is studying wolves in Yellowstone National Park. She is about to embark on an adventure she could never have imagined, when she tranquilizes a wolf which then turns into a man. She instantly recognizes the man, because he has been haunting her dreams for many so long now. How is this possible?
Vali, wolf turned man, is the son of Loki (the Norse God) and was cursed thousands of years ago and remained trapped in a wolfs body. But danger isn’t far behind, hunting and on the prowl. Vali is all kinds of swoony, delicious warrior goodness that really made this story spark. He and Karen embark on an adventure, where Karen will have to set aside everything she thought she knew as an ancient power puts the world as we know it in great peril. Will they find a way to unlock the secrets that can save the world? Will they triumph in the end, or will their efforts be thwarted? What does the fate have in store for these two? Is there a chance for happiness with each other? You’ll have to read the story to find out all the delicious details!
Another spellbinding read from Ms. MacLeod!

Thank you, Ms. MacLeod!

The Wolf’s Lover is novel by Samantha Macleod. This is third novel by this author.

Following her divorce, Karen McDonalds studies wolves as a wildlife biologist. She keeps having dreams involving a mysterious man.

When she tranquilizes a wolf who turns into a man, not just any man but the man she has been dreaming about for years, her life gets turned upside down.

The man turns out to be Vali, son of Loki and his destiny is entwined with Karen’s.

I really enjoyed this novel and I love the way the author mixes real world with Norse mythology.

I loved their relationship. It just seems so sweet and romantic.

While this continues after the Tricker’s Lover, this can be read as a stand-alone.

I look forward to reading more by this author.

I’m new to this author Samantha Macleod and what a fantastic book this is, I love the cover it’s so sexy and it’s good to see a black and white cover for a change well apart from the bit of purple on the Botton lol. I’m not giving any spoilers but read Samantha’s blurb and that will give you the gist of this story. I loved the main characters Karen and Vali, what a great plot with a very well written storyline, there’s action, adventure, danger and romance everything a really good book needs. Fantastic reading and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

I really enjoyed this book. The story involves, Karen, who works at a college and is doing research in Yellowstone. She comes across the man of her actual dreams. Turns out that man is Vali, son of Loki. Karen is thrown into the Norse myths where Vali is fighting to save the worlds.

Sexy and Spellbinding
LOVED it! The Wolf’s Lover is another sexy and spellbinding foray into the world created by Samantha Macleod which blends characters from Norse mythology with reality as we know it. Although can be read as a standalone, if you have read some of the author’s other books you will no doubt be as delighted as I to once again be reunited with some of the characters and places that were included in them.
Karen and Vali (serious hottie alert!) are a wonderful couple and I just loved how their relationship develops. Vali, the mysterious and unknown lover who invades her dreams, becomes a powerful lone wolf and then morphs into a man of flesh and blood, destined to change her life forever. As the son of the Norse god Loki, Vali is far from ordinary and his destiny is entwined with that of Karen's in ways neither he nor she could have imagined.
Karen is a strong woman with a painful past and has a lot in common with Vali. Indeed, they are just what the other needs, yet fate has other ideas and their love will be sorely tested as the plot progresses. The secondary characters are well developed and I particularly enjoyed meeting Loki and Caroline from the Trickster’s Lover. They not only have their own role to play in this story but we also get to find out more about Loki's past and how their relationship is progressing. I won't say anymore about the storyline, except that it is a real doozy and once again this author is to be congratulated for such a unique and impressive plot.
The novel is beautifully written in terms of both language and form and the storyline is strong, entwining romance, mythology, tension and suspense. It questions whether even our free will is free or whether is it out of our control and subject to the machinations of others. Indeed, the themes the book deals with – the cycle of life and death, love, family are deep. The strength of the story and the characterisations are matched by the quality and depth of the erotic lovemaking scenes between Vali and Karen and the myriad of emotions they evoke - you may need to ensure you have access to unlimited iced drinks and before reading...
Recommended for fans of urban fantasy and myths and legends who enjoy sizzling lovemaking scenes with strong characters and plot and excellent world-building.
Please note an ARC of this book was given to me by the author for the purpose of a fair and honest review.

a brilliant read about not being defined by your past. When Karen MacDonald has recurring dreams of a man in a meadow, she thinks it is just a product of her imagination after her divorce. But when on a trip to Yellowstone to study wolves, she tranquilises a wolf that turns into him. drawn to him and these magical dreams, she discovers he is Vali Lokisen as a wolf trying to break free of his father and they fall in love. a wild adventure ensues but when dangers real and mythological threaten Yellowstone and the world, will Karen choose love or fear?
a brilliant read. well developed plot with twists and turns I just couldn't put down. well developed characters in Vali and Karen who had struggled through dark times but still thought each other were beautiful for surviving it and accepting of eachothers faults. Karen's past and depression was a beautiful portrayal of what it can be like and Valis belief he was a monster was heart wrenching. great supporting cast with Loki who was hilarious but caring underneath and Carolines sweet nature. once again, Samantha MacLeod shines as an amazing writer with stunning visual detail in Yellowstone or the cave or the beach which was beautifully written, even in the dream world she shines with intricate detail of the wildflowers and trees and purple flowers.
as a lover of mythology, this book was perfectly written. every aspect was respected and kept to the original such as Vali himself as a wolf, Niogionir and Yggdrasil and Loki's punishment in the cave. I also loved Dianas link to the wolves and the moon from her greek origins. The sense of magic was spellbinding with teleportations and transformations that were spinechilling every time. once again, MacLeods mix of realism in the science professors and conservationists mixed with fantasy elements of dragons and magic and gods made for a fantastic novel. Overall, a wonderful read and I would give it five stars.

The Wolf's Lover: An Urban Fantasy Romance by Samantha MacLeod is a paranormal-romance story. This story is full of fantasy, myth and of course we can't forget the romance. This is not my first story by this author but it is one of my favorites of hers. Her writing style is easy flowing and her plot is well written. Her attention to details help with the understanding some of the myth parts of the story. Her characters are both connectable and lovable. They make it real easy to transition from mythical to modern world and back which keeps the story engaging. Karen has been trying to bury her past for the past five years after her divorce. Now she finds herself studying wolves at Yellowstone National Park. What will happen when the man from her recurring dreams transforms from a wolf to a man in front of her? He has been haunting her dreams and now here he is. Vali is the son of Norse god Loki. He has been imprisoned in a wolf's body for over a thousand years. This is where the story takes on a cat and mouse game, Vali is the hunted and the hunter. Now an evil has been awakened and it could put Karen in danger. Will the secrets of her past be the end of her or will she unveil them before it is to late? How far is she willing to go to save her world? I enjoyed both of these characters. They have great chemistry together, they really worked with each other. Karen sometimes just went with it and other times she was more independent. Vali is more of a mystery and I would have liked to see a little more about him. They took me on some twists and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. They both have a past that they need to work through but they just fit together. I enjoyed seeing some of the characters from the previous books that this author that I have read. I love seeing what has happened to them. The other secondary characters are just as great and supportive for the most part. I highly recommend this book. I know you will want to see what fate has in store for Vali and Karen. Will they be able to survive what fate throws at them?

The Wolf's Lover by Samantha MacLeod was a steamy romance that will keep you warm on a cold winters night.

My first book by this author, I went in with a open mind and in truth I just went with the flow of the story. I must say I really like the voice of the MC, Karen. From the first moment she woke form her, sexy dream, until the last word of the book. I think it has a lot to with her being a older MC. Karen has life experience, and for me, that made a huge difference in the way she went about things. True, I will say she was a little to forgiving when her dream man shows up. But at the same time, I got it, because at her age and after what she went through, she don't have time to second guess. But, she could have had a little more cation. Other then that, I loved Karen.

The overall plot, was a little confusing, it jumped a bit, but after I got a hand of it, it made sense. Other then that, the writing was smooth, the overall tone of the story was mystical, and the sitting made it all the more magical. Having it set in a national park, made it feel, open. I can't explain it, it's a similar feeling I get when I go back to my home town (the middle of nowhere Newfoundland.) There's just a calmness to it and a I guess, unclutterness. For me it gave the story that extra something special.

Karen's two grad students, where alright, they brought some good convos, and funny moments. But in truth, I can take them either way.

Overall, this is a well rounded story that leaves you all gushy on the inside. You will want to be in Karen's dreams, cause that wolf/whatever he is, hot, hot hot... If you're looking for a night in, and want some hot feels goods, I highly recommend you pick up this streamy mystifying book.

Happy Reading

The Wolf's Lover by Samantha MacLeod was a unique ride that I definitely didn't see coming.
This book follows the story of Karen MacDonald, who studies wolves at Yellowstone for a living, and while she has a harried past there is a man in her life that she is fully committed to….if only he lived outside of her dreams. Vali, son of Loki, was not expecting Karen to find him while in his wolf form, but he has been in her life for many years now. Coming out as a shifter now showed Karen that he was someone that would always keep her guessing. The connection was instant between these two, and to say HOT is putting it mildly. When dangerous strikes from out of the darkness, it will be up to these two to not only work through Karen's past heartache but come together in more ways than one to fight off the end of the world. This book kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more with each turn of the page. The characters were well written and the plot line, while confusing at times, was enjoyable to read. I would have liked to know that these books were related because I did find that once I read the other books than this one again the backstory made more sense. All around enjoyable read for a snowy weeknight. MacLeod is a new to me author, and while I normally steer clear of fantasy books, this one was a nice surprise that I was happy to pick up. The Wolf's Lover is loosely connected to two other books also by this author all surrounding mythology and how the main characters come to be, so while this can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the other books in this series to get the most backstory possible as it made the read much more enjoyable.

The Wolf’s Lover is a standalone novel and makes an entertaining read. I enjoyed the focus on Norse mythology. The author does a wonderful job of merging the characters from mythology with modern day life.

Karen has been through a rough time. She has finally gotten her life on track and is doing something she loves, when the dreams start again. She hadn’t had them in years but being out in the park tracking the wolves has stirred up something inside of her. While trying to tag one of the wolves with a tranquilizer she discovers that what she thought were dreams might actually be true. What she thought was a wolf turns out to be a man…the man of her dreams.

Cursed into the form of a wolf, Vali has lived alone in the wild for quite some time. He has to live with the things he’s done. But then he meets Karen, in wolf form of course. She has no idea there is a man trapped inside. When she temporarily breaks the curse with the tranquilizer, Vali fears that what is hunting him will finally find him. What’s worse, he fears he will lose Karen in the process.

The one thing about this book that seemed a bit unusual is that Karen seems to easily accept the idea of mythological people being real. As a scientist, I would have expected a little more resistance to the idea and her maybe trying to find a scientific explanation to what she was experiencing. But, overall, the book kept my attention and the supporting characters added in a bit of humor to break up the general seriousness of the story.

This book can stand alone but is a sort of continuance of Samantha Macleod's The Trickster's Lover. It happens in the same modern world where ordinary average people experience the extraordinary when they meet and interact with Norse and Greek Gods and Goddesses. Sexy Loki from the previous book and its sequel Honeymoon shows up in this one again along with his now pregnant wife Carolyn but the main character of this story is Karen, a wildlife researcher who is studying the wolves in Yellowstone National Park and she keeps having erotic dreams about a very hot man that she has wild sex with out in nature and one day a male wolf is shot and suddenly transforms into the man from her dreams, who turns out to be Vali, the son of Loki who was transformed into a wolf to kill his brother when they were children in order to punish his father and who has been wandering trapped in the body of a wolf ever since. Relationships are complicated, and this man comes with a lot more baggage than most and talk about in-laws! But Karen is hooked on the man of her dreams and is pretty sure he's worth all the complications he comes with. She also has scars and her own baggage in the past that hasn't healed over yet. Okay and then what is the deal with dragons...why aren't myths happy stories about cute friendly creatures, and why do they have to contain so much dangerous peril in them? This story is sexy, romantic and also full of great action and impossible to put down-I loved every minute of it and cannot recommend it strongly enough! It is full of emotional depth between the characters and if you loved Loki from the previous novels he and Carolyn show up quite a bit in this one even though they are not the focus and it is nice to see them here, Vali is not much like his Dad at all, he is hero material, a warrior through and through and sexy as all get out- you will want one of your own!

The Wolf’s Lover
By Samantha MacLeod
5 stars

I was so excited when I saw this book to read, I absolutely loved The Trickster’s Lover so I was really looking forward to reading more from this author and it did not disappoint – not one bit! I was completely hooked on this book from page 1; this author has an amazing ability to draw you into her stories so quickly. I loved that the Norse gods were back again in this book albeit this time its Loki’s son! If I thought I loved Loki (which I did – lots) then I have to say I love his son Vali even more! Omg he was so very, very hot and sexy! He just oozed sexiness, even my kindle melted a little!! I really liked Karen too, she would do anything to protect Vali and I really admired her strength considering what had happened in her past. The chemistry between these two really was off the charts! The one thing I really loved about this book was how it ended up being completely not what I expected! I loved all the plot twists, in all honesty some I wasn’t 100% sure about, but the story went in directions that I definitely didn’t see coming and which made it all the more exciting to read!
The Wolf’s Lover is a fantastic 5 star read that I highly recommend!

The Wolf’s Lover- Samantha MacLeod

4-star review

“What happens in the backcountry of Yellowstone, stays in the backcountry of Yellowstone.”

The Wolf’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod is a great fantasy read! This was my first book by Samantha and one of my first reads of this genre and I really enjoyed it. It was such an interesting and captivating storyline. It completely held my attention from start to finish as there was so much detail, from Karen’s dreams, her surroundings, intimate moments and of course all of the Norse mythology.

This storyline flowed seamlessly, and it became more and more engaging as the story went on. I was kept on my toes from the beginning, constantly questioning how the story would play out, and I was pleasantly surprised by the ending. I loved all the characters in this story, both main and supporting. They all added so much to this story, from drama to humour they had it all. I absolutely loved Karen’s story and I hope I can read more about her in the future!

I look forward to reading more of Samantha’s work in the future and I would absolutely recommend this story to others!

Samantha MacLeod brings together all the great stories in The Wolf’s Lover. She has paranormal, fantasy, Norse Gods, action, adventure, and a little romance. MacLeod’s story telling is a little hard to understand, but it will clear up quickly as you continue to read. Plan to read this story in one sitting. I look forward to reading more stories by MacLeod.

Could the dreams of Karen McDonald come true? She has been dreaming of a man and has been falling for the man in her dreams. Karen just happens to be a wildlife researcher. She is studying wolves in Yellowstone National Park. She has a troubled past which she is trying to escape. One day she is on an adventure with in the park and she comes across a wolf that turns into a man in front of her eyes. It just so happens to be Vali, the man in her dreams. Karen tries to figure this all out. It doesn’t help that Vali’s Father is Loki, a Norse God, and the two start to get close. The story goes into twists, turns, ups and downs that Karen and Vali. Will Karen and Vali survive as the story goes on???? I am not saying just read this great story.

I have to admit I’m a sucker for any Lokean fiction and Samantha MacLeod’s version of Loki is one of my favorites. “The Wolf’s Lover” continues Loki’s saga after “Honeymoon” but with Karen, a professor who is recovering from a damaged past, as the narrator who falls in love with mysterious dream-lover Vali. Loki and Caroline do make appearances (some of the interaction between Karen and Loki actually made me laugh out loud), but the main romance centers on Vali, Loki’s son, and Karen. The relationship between Vali and Karen is more romantic than Loki and Caroline’s relationship, as Vali is much more of a sweetheart than his father. I thought Caroline was more subdued (which is out of character for her) than in the previous books, but this was Karen’s story so that’s just a personal nit-pick. *Brief spoiler alert* My only real issue with the novel was one scene between Karen and Nidhoggr which, while crucial to the plot, bordered on rape. (Which might be a trigger for some readers.) Regardless, I loved the rest of the story.
“The Wolf’s Lover” is trademark MacLeod with passionate erotica, a blend of Greek and Norse mythologies and a plot that runs the reader through an emotional gamut.
I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The Wolf’s Lover
By Samantha MacLeod
4 Stars

I’m a paranormal junkie. I don’t know…there’s just something about paranormal books that I love. So, this book by Samantha MacLeod I was expecting to like. And like it I did.

Samantha MacLeod uses Norse mythology to weave an exhilarating story that integrates mystery, the paranormal and real life. Although this is a standalone book, you do encounter characters from previous books. And if you’re like me, all that means is that when you are done with this book, you will go back and binge read the others.

The main characters are Vali (the son of the Norse God Loki) and Karen. Between the yumminess (cause Samantha’s description of Vali is HOT) and the dreams that Karen has been having of him for years be sure to have a fan nearby to cool yourself off!

This was a first time read for me by this author. The book was well written and the story enjoyable to read. Even though some of the characters are based on mythology the author does a good job of keeping the story believable.

I give The Wolf's Lover: An Urban Fantasy Romance by Samantha MacLeod, 5 stars.

This book blew me away. I went into this book thinking it was your typical paranormal romance type book. Human and otherworldly being, both broken in their own way, meet and fall in love. While this is true, there is so, so much more to this book. Vali, is not your typical werewolf. And Karen's past is much deeper and darker than I ever imagined.

This novel goes further than most fantasy romance novels go. The story was quite captivating. Like I mentioned, Karen has had a lot she had to endure in her past. Sure, there have been many broken women in romance novels. But just how much she went through blew me away. While shocking, it was refreshing too, since it helped set this apart from similar novels. Then there is Vali and his family. Love or hate them, you can see and understand exactly why they have become who they are.

The author is a wonderful storyteller, and I strongly hope this series continues for a very long time.

This is a action packed romance.

Karen is researching the activity of the wolves pack in Yellowstone National Park. She loves the outdoors and enjoys doing her research more. While out in the wild, she dreams of a black lone wolf. Being a tracker it's her job to tag, all she comes across. She tranquilizes the big guy, only to find he has become a man. The very same man that has been in her dreams. Is this really her dream guy or has she lost it?

Vali the son of Norse God, Loki. Has been trapped in the wolf prison for years. Thousands to be exact. His only escape is when he is shot. Now he must make things right, to save his world. The challenges he is faced with, could be his only escape. Can he trust the one person he has asked for help? Will his imprisoned life free him as well as save Yellowstone?

Samantha MacLeod has a great imagination. Her characters are so believable and entertaining. This action packed story is fantastic, and will keep you reading. Her story begins on page one, by the time you turn the last page, you will know so much more than expected. You will also realize time has escaped you. But you will be happy to know you can breathe a sigh of relief. Well done Samantha MacLeod!

This is a very good book. I hard a hard time putting it down!
I was actually a little nervous about this, thinking I might hate it as it has some characters from northern mythology and that’s sort of a pet peeve of mine. This is a religion, people! Not marvel. And it’s a religion that’s still practiced...

Anyway, Karen’s backstory is heartbreaking and I really felt that she deserved this happy (sexy) ending. I mean, who wouldn’t want a hot AND devoted man?

The first few pages was a little scary, I wouldn’t sleep in a tent in the forest with freaking wolves lurking around, not in a million years. I kept thinking she would be attacked or eaten! Buuuut she didn’t :)

I especially enjoyed Zeke and his gross, hilarious personality. One of the things that make up a good book is the entirety of characters and the way they interact and it’s spot on in The Wolf’s Lover.

I gave this 4 stars only because I felt like something was missing when Karen got back from Asgard. I would have liked to know exactly how Vali felt and why he chose to forgive her, other than true love and all that.

Treat yourself, read this.

The Wolf’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod is a great mix of romance, intrigue and fantasy. This is the first book I have read by this author and I can easily say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Karen has put her past where it belongs - in the past. She has moved on from her divorce and is happily working as a wildlife biologist in Yellowstone National Park. But she has a secret. A secret about the dreams she has been having for years about one man. A specific man that she just happens to find out in the middle of the park in the form of a wolf.
When she discovers him it throws her into a world she knows nothing about. With old Gods and enemies Karen has to decide quick - does she bury her head and act like nothing is happening? Or does she finally open up her past and save the world?

This was a very intriguing book. I loved the mix of Norse gods and shifters. Add on too the mystery and the chemistry and this is one book I could not put down. A great introduction to this author I very much enjoyed every page of this book.

The Wolf's Lover: An Urban Fantasy Romance by Samantha MacLeod is the second book in this series. Samantha has yet again done a great job in this paranormal fantasy romance story where mythical gods roam the world. This spellbinding read will have you wondering, where what you thought was good turns out to be bad and what you thought was bad turns out to be good.

Karen loves her job, wolves are what she knows and loves but so is the mystery man of her dreams, but when she discovers something amiss and what she sees before her eyes, turns her world upside down. But there is one thing she does know and that is she will fight to save all that she loves and if that means her life, then so be it.

This story is a great modern take on mythical creatures and romances that defy time and worlds and is full of strong emotions between the characters and their loves. Loki and Carolyn characters we come to love from the first book, show up and make life interesting.

The Wolf's Lover by Samatha MacLeod

5 Stars!!!!!

I love norse mythology and when you combine it with romance and having to save the world there is nothing better! I just couldn't put this book down and I cant wait to be able to read more by this author.

Vali and Karen just have so much chemistry. I really like how they tie the mythology into her career and how the whole story unfolds. I really liked the gripping parts of the book with having to save the world and how things with Vali and Karen would turn out. I was on the edge of my seat as I read this book and was filled with anticipation. The author really brought the story to life and this book was a real fresh breath of air for me. I will definitely be reading more by this author and hope that there is more to the this type in her collection.

HER DREAMS BECOME REAL & ARE HOT!

I gave this 3 STARS because I had expected more details to the background of Loki, his son, and other Gods make or female and a little more of how they related to each other. This lack of information seemed to place a drag on the story for me. It was a great story once you get past those things with lots of hot passionate intense oh yes sex. Karen, a College Professor and her wolf by magic work together with others to solve a huge problem in Yellowstone and she has to look back at all the dark places in her life she had tried to bury in her mind. Karen struggles with Vali as he tries to escape the wolf and they fight ancient magic to help save the wildlife area. Lots of sex, hot sweaty pounding sexual contact of all body parts and explicit. For 18 yrs & up adult only Graphic Sexual Content
