Mason Keller is broken, destructive, and the only man I’ve ever loved.
I met him when I was just a child, but I knew there would never be anyone else.
He lit my world with each smile and warmed my heart just by looking at me.
But he was my brother’s best friend...

Which meant I was off limits.

So he let me go and took my heart with him.
Now everything has changed, and the obstacles that kept us apart all our lives are no longer in the way.

He wants to claim me.
He wants to own me.
He wants to ravage my world.

And if I’m not careful...

I just might let him.

This was very good. Yes, it’s pretty tropey with the younger sister in love with her brother’s best friend who just can’t go there, bro code and all, but JP does a fresh job with it.

Lyla doesn’t just have a crush, but is in love. She bares her secret to the stupid H, and when he rejects her she tells him what a mistake he’s making and a few more truths I won’t spoil. I loved it. Yes, she cries, but she pulls herself up by the bootstraps. While he places himself in jeopardy of at least three STD’s with his sleazy I’m-a-cool-rock-star behavior, she moves on. Like every dog in the manger ever, he can’t handle it.

Time and time again, the heroine shows that she not only has a backbone but a brain and knows how to use both of them.

Sad stuff happens as well as more angsty drama, but the end result is a HEA. Of course.

The H is pretty much your typical pretty bad boy wallowing in pretend angst, but he loves the heroine, despite his whorish, alcoholic ways, and he loved her brother. There’s a cute surprise at the end.

Almost a four star and beats the rest of the series hands down.

I'll be a minority here, but what I felt when I read the book was this:
Our hero is addicted to alcohol and fucks with everything that has a hole and breathes. After all he is a rock star. Nothing new here.
Our heroine is his best friend's sister. She tries to forget him by marrying another, but she totally screwed up her life. She gets stuck in an abusive relationship until her husband hits her and then she asks for help from her brother.
The death of her brother causes our heroes to meet again.
And as always in these stories we have a manwhore hero and a heroine in need of help.
He thinks he is not good enough and she has loved him since she was a child.
I can not understand this plot where the best friend thinks he is not good enough to date his friend's sister, but everyone in the family loves him. He is the only one who does not see his own worth.
Nothing new again.
We still have a stalker that soon we already know who it is, we do not need to have high IQ to figure this out.
The heroes of the previous books appear to fill the story.
We have an HEA.
The End.

For three years, I harbored those feelings, my unrequited love slowly crushing me with every girl he brought around. And there were many.

However, being a thirteen-year-old in love with a boy who was quickly becoming a man meant I’d already been dealt a fair share of heartache.

Then I was going to need to find a woman to take home in the hopes of fucking Lyla and that goddamned dress out of my head.

“Bethany?” I asked on a ravaged whisper. “What are you… how…?” She was dressed in nothing but a Civil Corruption T-shirt. Her hair was a tangled mess around her shoulders, and her lips were red and swollen. “How could you?” “Lyla,” Mace called, drawing my attention back to him. “You know each other?” “My best friend?” I seethed, jerking out of his grasp and skewering him with a look. “You fucked my best friend?”

“You’ve already made it clear you don’t want me, and I can’t stand the fucking sight of her.”

“You see, when I dreamed of what it would be like to be with you, I never once thought you’d be such a coward.”

My alcohol consumption lately had gotten a little out of hand, I knew that. But it wasn’t like I had a problem. I could stop whenever I wanted,

I was going to bury my cock is some random bitch’s pussy. I was going to close my eyes and pretend it was my Goldie I was sinking into, that the woman beneath me didn’t fall short of what I really wanted. And when that didn’t work—which it wouldn’t, experience having taught me that much—I was going to drink myself into oblivion.

Daniel never hit me, I’d give him that. But how he treated me was just as bad, if not worse in some ways.

Everything was my fault, my fault, my fault.

I was stupid, worthless, a waste of oxygen. If it wasn’t my intellect or my homemaking skills he was insulting, he was jumping down my throat about stuff that didn’t even exist.

But I was done. Done being his punching bag, his doormat. I was just done.

When it was all finally over and done with, and my copious injuries—five cracked ribs, a broken nose, a broken hand, a concussion, and multiple lacerations and bruises—were documented and photographed, I was left alone. They’d casted my hand and were keeping me overnight to monitor me because of the concussion when all I wanted to do was go home—or to Will’s home—and sleep in a comfortable bed that wasn’t paper thin.

Worse than that night with Mace in my bedroom so many years ago. Worse than being beaten by Daniel. Worse than anything. And hours later, I’d been proved right. “I’m so sorry for your loss,”

Glancing to the side, I saw a woman passed out in the bed beside me. I didn’t even remember picking her up at the club last night, but that was nothing new. It wasn’t the first time I’d woken up beside some random one-night stand, and I was pretty sure it wouldn’t be the last.

“Oh my God,” I breathed, placing my hand on my chest. “You’re drunk, aren’t you?” “Goldie.”

“Jesus, you are!” I snapped, losing control. “We just buried my brother, and you’re fucking drunk!” “I’m not drunk,” he lied. Just like Daniel had all those times. “I just had a couple drinks, that’s all. I needed it to get through.”

“We’re so done, Mace. You’re deluded if you think you don’t have a problem, and I’m not letting another drunk asshole take anything else from me. This ends now.”

“He was a nasty drunk. He said the ugliest things when he’d been drinking. Everything was my fault. I wasn’t a good enough wife, I didn’t work hard enough, I didn’t bring in enough money to keep him in the lifestyle he felt he deserved, even though his worthless ass wouldn’t bother to find another job when he lost his. I couldn’t cook or clean to his liking. I couldn’t do anything right.”

“I finally had enough. I’d packed my shit, set on leaving, when he came home and got so pissed he decided to put me in the hospital instead of just letting me go.”

“Look, there’s one simple way to figure this out. Answer this question for me: What’s the worse outcome? That you take your shot and it doesn’t work out, or that you don’t and never know if you missed out on something amazing?”

5 beautiful, heartbreaking stars!!!

I've been dying for Mace and Lyla's story and now that I've read it, I can safely say it was well worth the wait. If you've been reading this series, you'll know that Lyla is Will's little sister, and that she crushed on Mason since she was a little girl following the guys around. But, when she's 17, she takes a chance and lets Mace in on her feelings, thinking he just might reciprocate those feelings. Of course, life isn't that easy and she's left crushed as Mace tells her he can't, she's too young, and that he's not good enough for her. Sigh...

My heart broke for her (and him) as the story wound on and put the two through the paces. She went and married a douche who treated her worse than gum underneath his shoe. He went and became a big time rockstar who boozed his way through life. Damn. And then, bam, that event that you'll already know if you've read the previous books, but if you haven't, I won't spoil. So now they're back in each other's orbits, and Mace isn't about to let his girl down. And he doesn't. And that's when I fell in love with him and his swoon worthy ways.

This is by far my favorite story in the Civil Corruption series and my favorite couple, by far. Jessica Prince's writing is so beautifully touching and the story she gives these two is one I won't soon forget.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I generally avoid rock star books because lets face it - anyone in music is going to face a lot of temptation from all corners (I also read a ton of star biographies when younger) and while cheating and screwing lots of other people in general doesn't bother me- I finally figured out what bothers me about this genre in particular.

The guys all treat the groupies like disposable holes 'sluts' 'can't remember their name' 'not important' but the woman they love is always 'special' 'different', 'not like them'. It's seriously bothersome to hear men refer to women like this - even women who supposedly know the score. The not important is also hypocritical - not important things are not worth any of our time - but you screw someone all night and they are not important - eye roll. I love an over the top possessive asshole (not in real life) but usually one who is not banging everything that crosses his path. Sports and motor cycle gang books are also bad for this which is why I probably tend to avoid them as well. This lifestyle attracts these types but I am reading for some fantasy as well.

The other trope I really hate is the 'waiting woman' Ugh - it's not an uncommon fact that women have an easier time getting laid than men. Just ask any dating app executive! Yet these chicks keep themselves mostly celibate (often for years!) because they need to be in love to be intimate or they only want one man. Since at least 1/2 of the women I know don't have this issue I am really sick of it popping up ALL the time in these books. I don't want a chick taking on the basketball team but holy hell can at least some of them sleep with at least a couple of nice or not nice guys. Like this book, typically, it usually can only be one! While H is screwing anything that moves. Ok sorry rant over. I know a lot of you feel the same. Maybe if we write it enough some authors will start to do to. I think so far I've maybe read two.

That being said this book is guilty of all of the above. So even though the writing was pretty good, most of the characters had some depth and it was realistic to a certain extent - the cliches mean it is just average. Oh and what happened to Will - really it couldn't have been her dad or mom - Ugh again! If you like rock star books you'll like this one - Lyla is not a doormat but she is a mess in her own way. Of course Mace is an even bigger mess. Having him deal with his booze issue was a good plot choice.

Lawd, I need a minute to corral all my feelings about this final book in this amazing Civil Corruption series. I’ve been dying to read Mason and Lyla’s story since the characters were first introduced. And man, waiting for Ravage was so worth it!

Mace and Lyla have been circling around each other for years. At first Lyla was too young for Mace to even chance thinking about her as more than his best friend’s little sister—Will would have killed him, so he thought. Yet as time and distance occurred, as Civil Corruption was off making their music, Lyla grew up and into the beautiful, smart amazing woman of Mace’s dreams.

And Mason Keller was the man of Lyla’s dreams—dreams she’s had since she was ten years old!

*fans self* Lordy, the chemistry between Lyla and Mace was palpable. Their connection amazing. I loved their relationship—how it grew and developed from a friendship into love. That they both were a bit broken by their pasts and their mutual love and affection for each other is what truly brought them together. Well, that and a bit of “from the grave” advice from Will.

I loved Mace and Lyla’s story. Loved how the rest of the band and their women supported them both through the good and the bad times. Loved how they loved. And I loved this book. ~ Missy, 5 stars

LOVE LOVE LOVE this series. And Mace and Lyla did not disappoint. Gah. I am going to miss this crew SO much. I feel like we will still hear about them with One Knight Stand being next...maybe? Doesn't matter because as I always say "Jessica Prince writes it...Dawn reads it!" So much angsty goodness in this story, intrigue, doubt, back-stabbing, drinks and so so much more. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

This is my favourite book of the series.
This book is Mace and Lylah.
We know some of the events that take place in the first 50% of the book as it covers several years, skipping now and again and during this time the other band members have sorted out their relationships in the previous books.
Lylah is Will's younger sister who is friends with the boys from the band, esp close with Mace.
All the boys have been manwhore types and I found some of the behaviour in the previous books distasteful, typical Rock Star lifestyle protrayal.
We knew Lylah in the background as she had popped up now and again. She is quite a bit younger and I think it's why this one worked better for me.
Mace's exploits are not detailed, which is where I think I found the previous books hard to read. He is with other women when Lylah is around but there are no intimate details.
Due to the age difference it's normal Mace would have been involved with women and felt Lylah was off limits as she's only 13 when the story starts.
At 50% we catch up to events that were touched on in the previous book regarding Mace and his downward spiral of drinking.
When he gets himself sorted he is amazing to Lylah.
Lylah has her own demons, who only a very small circle know about.

There are very touching emotional scenes, strong family bonds and JP writes group friend dynamic brilliantly and there is plenty of that too.

There is a bit of ex drama. No cheating.
HEA.
Also some new characters, Stone and Ian who covers security, so the possibility of a new series?? Maybe.

Get ready for an emotional and angsty 2nd chance at love story. This is the story i have been waiting for- this is book 4 in the Civil Corruption series and Ms. Prince definitely has hit it out of the park with THE couple the readers have been dying for since book 1.. Mace and Lyla. This is their book with their rollercoaster love story. Everything has been building when we have seen this couple in shades of the stories from Corrupt, Defile, and Consume, but with Ravage , they are front and center- the main centerpieces. Lyla is Mace’s BFF's little sister and she has loved him like totally forever. For so many years, those feelings were not returned and considered taboo because of how young she was (age). But when she got older and then the feelings that she had for Mase then were returned in full force, everything should’ve gotten better, instead things got all messed up between Mase and Lyla. It was messed up to the point that they both ended up moving on but the deep feelings never died even though they were no longer together.

Mace has only ever truly loved one woman but never felt like he really deserved her. He then went to hide his feelings in the bottle. And then he kep drinking to drown the bitterness and dull the voices that made him doubt himself when it comes to him and Lyla. For when he gets a taste of Layla, he craves more but that bottle came between them and ruined them. Now Lyla is back and making an ultimatum regarding the status of their future. Will Mace end up making the right choice, or will he forever be denied the one thing he’s always wanted by making the wrong moves ?
This story is alternatingly heartbreaking and yet bittersweet, emotional, dramatic, angsty, passionate, skyrocketing heat , anger and deep love. You feel their emotions completely and this story is full of heat at times as well.

Holy fuck, that was an epic ending to this series. I mean Jessica Prince is epicness all on her own y'all but damn was this series and more specifically this book absolutely brilliant and so freaking special in every way.

The Civil Corruption series has lived up to every single word of the hype you'll hear and left me feeling so full, happy and wanting to relive it all over again from the very start after it was over. Ravage is the fourth and final book in this sexy, ravaging series and it's a must read every time.

Irresistible rockers. Strong ladies. Unforgettable love stories. Heartpounding romances. Meaningful friendships. Smoking hot romances. A group of people you'll never want to let go. Jessica has created a world that feels so real and is so so deep with intricate layers that slowly peel back and completely undeniable in every single way way.

And Lyla and Mace, well theres is a journey you do not want to miss. Best friend's little sister. Always forbidden until everything changes...

Jessica Prince is an author more people should be talking about and reading more. And this series right here is the perfect way to slide right in and fall for her insanely addicting authors.

I highly recommend binging this series now...today!

Aww I'm so sad that we've come to the end of this amazing series from Jessica Prince she certainly took Civil Corruption out with a bang. I loved every single minute of Mace and Lyla's story, it was sad, aghasty, and full of love.

Lyla has been in love with Mace since she was ten years old but there was an age gap and Mace was her big brother's best friend. Over the years that follow that friendship meant that for Mace, Lyla would always be out of bounds no matter what his feelings towards her were or the circumstances but when a tragedy brings them together but at the same time tears them apart what will the future hold for them. Is there really any chance for them and the love they both have for each other?

Okay so each of the books in this series could be read as a standalone but if I were you I would grab each and every one and enjoy the boys if Civil Corruption to the fullest. You won't be disappointed!!!!

Readers of the series know that Mace has been drowning his feelings in alcohol and easy sex and in this final installment we get the story behind those actions. While Mace's feelings for Lyla are at the heart of his awful behavior, she ultimately is the one who can help him heal.
Ravage was a good ending to the series, with a fantastic look into the near future of the whole Civil Corruption gang. I'm a sucker for a great epilogue! 🍭😍

After all the teases of Lyla and Mace throughout the series, especially the ones in Consume, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Ravage and find out what was going on between the two of because even I knew that there was more to it than just the whole not going against the bro code thing going on and I wasn’t disappointed in any way. This one definitely pulled out all the FEELS, and I mean all of them ~ the good, the bad and the ugly ~ as the epic story of Lyla and Mace unfolded. I had a difficult time putting it down and, although I loved that epilogue, I hated knowing that there were no more words to read.

I adored both Lyla and Mace. Lyla is a force. She has a strong sense of self and, even when her world is crashing down around her, she finds a way to pull herself and keep going. It may take a while, but she does it. She’s sweet, sassy and gives her all to those she calls her own. Mace is, at his very core, a sweet and compassionate soul and cares deeply about others, but at times it blinds him to not only what is right in front of him, but to the man HE himself is.

It’s funny. I knew going in that their relationship was all kinds of...jagged, hard not to after reading all the books, but I found it more heartbreaking than frustrating. It was frustrating, the missteps, the push/pull, the holding oneself back because of assumptions, not solid truth, but it was also all kinds of sweet and soul searing at how much these two simply flowed when they were in each other’s orbits and when everything was said and done, I loved how they finally got their HEA.

While I know this isn’t the last we’ll hear of the Civil Corruption crew, I am sad that this is the last book of the series. I fell in love with these characters, and this one made me want to spend more time with them all ~ especially after reading that epilogue ~ but as a last in series, it was perfect. And though I’m totally looking forward to Camden’s story, I have to say that I wouldn’t be upset at all if Stone got his own HEA a some point in the future...just sayin’ *BSEG*

I have anxiously been waiting for Mason and Lyla's book since Corrupt. It was well worth the wait.
We had seen glimpses of the story from Corrupt, Defile, and Consume, but Ravage brought everything front and center. I do believe this is my favorite out of the four.

This was Lyla and Mason's story...

- I could still remember the very first time I laid eyes on Mason "Mace" Keller. That day, that moment, had been burned into my brain and would remain there for the rest of my life.- Lyla

Lyla is Will's sister who was an original member of Civil Corruption before being replaced by Mason and opening up his on garage.

The book begins by taking us way back when Lyla first met, and then to when they are getting ready to leave for 6 months when Mace and Lyla say goodbye. It was such an endearing moment.

Then we jump to four years later. The six month tour of Civil Corruption had turned into 4 years and Mace and Lyla were going to be reunited, finally. Lyla was ready to tell Mace exactly how she felt, lay it all out on the line. She and her best friend Bethany are out shopping for the perfect dress.

- I had to know whether or not there was a chance for us. I'd spent my entire high school experience trying to remain invisible to the opposite sex, not open to the possibility of a relationship with any of the boys my age because I'd been pining after someone else. The time had come to take charge of my life. It was now or never. - Lyla

- Holy shit, she was something else. I hadn't realized just how grown up she was until then, and damn, had she grown up really fucking well.- Mace

- I had no goddamn business being drawn to her the way I was. Not only was she jailbait, but the girl was my best friend's little sister. That made her off-limits from now until eternity.- Mace

Civil Corruption was only in town for a few days, so after a missed opportunity one night that she and her best friend had snuck into a club, Lyla heads over to Mason's condo to finally tell him how she feels.

This part just ripped my freaking heart right out. And it wasn't just one thing but the entire situation that went right along with it. I wanted to jump in my kindle and raise hell.

" You're killing me, Goldie," " What you felt was real." " But, it can't happen. Ever. I'm drawn to you, I'll admit that. You've always been important to me sweetheart. So goddamn important. I feel something for you, but I can't ever act on it. It just can't happen." Mace

- It was amazing how a person could go from bliss to soul-crushing heartache in the span of just a few seconds. Like being hit by a truck.- Lyla

This book was amazing. I loved it! I want to quote the whole book, but I'm afraid of giving everything away and spoiling everything.

It broke my heart and then Jessica Prince pieced it back together.

And holy hell Stone. Can we get some more of Stone. Because yum.

Great story!!! Awesome best friend little sister love story with lots of anguish and sadness wrapped up in one. For the record, Will was the best big brother ever and it broke my heart what happened to him. It made me really sad.

Lyla has been in love with Mace since she was 10 years old but Mace never looked at her that way. Or so we thought. As the years passed by her love grew and she declared it to him months before she turned 18. But things didn’t workout how she expected and her heart was shattered. But Mace was also heartbroken but she didn’t know.

Years passed but these two still couldn’t get their act together. They both lived separate lives and suffered separately. Then things happened that changed the dynamics of this story. Lyla started getting stronger but my heart still hurt for her. And Mace was spiraling out of control. Lyla was his savior. And that’s when these two FINALLY gave it a real shot. But it wasn’t flowers and roses all the time. They had several tests in their relationship in which they came out on top. There was one scary moment but you get to see how bada$$ Lyla really is and the long way she has come. These two were amazing and got the HEA they so clearly deserved.

I enjoyed seeing updates on the other band members and their partners. Great group of friends.

If you’ve read any of the other books in this series, then I’m sure you’ve been waiting for Mace and Lyla’s story as much as I have. I just knew it was going to be steamy, heartbreaking and intense, and I got that tenfold!

Lyla is Mace’s best friend’s little sister and she has loved him forever. For many years those feelings were unrequited and taboo because of her age. But once she was older and feelings were returned, things should’ve gotten better, however quite the opposite happened. Having to move on destroys them both in the worst possible way. As they work through the bitterness, the pain, and the tears, they realize how much better they are together. Hot hot hot! Oh these two and everything they went through...their story damn near wrecked me. But that ending made it all worth it *sigh*.

I can’t believe this is the last book in the Civil Corruption series. While I’ve been dying to read Mace and Lyla’s story, it’s oh so bittersweet. I’ve come to love these guys so much!! This is hands down the best Rocker series I’ve read this year. And definitely in the top five all time.

Mace and Lyla’s story beings so long ago. Back before they made it big. With Lyla being Will’s little sister, she was around them so much. I had so many tears while reading this book. I’m sooo glad we got to know Will a little bit more. He definitely made his way in my heart the little bit we got to see him interact with Lyla.

Ravage will give you all the feels!! Mace is wonderful, although at times I wanted to punch him in the face. While this is Mace and Lyla’s story, we also get to see the rest of the group. Their story comes to an end, but we get that great little epilogue that wraps everything up so nicely. I can’t say it enough. I love this series. Ravage is the perfect ending.

Mace & Lyla's story is finally here but it also marks the end of the Civil Corruption series. I was excited to receive an ARC of the book but also sad once I turned the last page. This was a great series...and I'm not usually a fan of the "rocker" themed books. In an effort to not give anything away, I will only say that we finally get Mace & Lyla's backstory, which we've only seen bits and pieces of throughout the series. This book does touch on a few touchy subjects (domestic abuse and alcoholism). Overall, I enjoyed the book and the series as a whole. The epilogue, for me, wrapped the whole series up nicely...though I have a feeling we will see our Civil Corruptions boys pop up again in other series.

This book could easily be read as a standalone BUT I strongly suggest reading the whole series. Each of the Civil Corruption stories were great in their own way.

I'm looking forward to what Ms. Prince has coming up for us next.

A truly emotional second chance story, this book had so many emotional moments, my heart almost couldn’t take it! It was great to get a glimpse into how Lyla and Mace started, all those years ago. I’m so sad to see the end of the Civil Corruption series, but it will definitely be one I reread often!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, steamy love, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Corrupt (Civil Corruption, #1)
Defile (Civil Corruption, #2)
Consume (Civil Corruption #3)

This is Lyla and Mace’s story. Lyla has loved Mace forever. But he was her brother’s best friend which made her off limits. So, she loved from afar. Now he is back and all the things that kept them apart in the past are no longer there. Can they have a future, or does he need her just for the now? If that is the case can she let him go again? Or will they fight for what they have now? Can they really have future with all the time they lost? Or will they find other things that keep them apart again?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

The Civil Corruption series by Jessica Prince is hands down one of my absolute favorite rocker romance series!

Knowing that Ravage was the last book in the series was both exciting and bittersweet.

Glimpses of Mace's and Lyla's complicated relationship were written throughout the previous books in the series making me highly anticipate FINALLY getting to dive into their story.

This book did not disappoint.

It was everything I wanted it to be and MORE.

Though I knew what was going to happen with Will I was still not prepared for it and it was with my heart in my throat and tears streaming down my face that I read through that particular scene.

At times I wanted to knock both Mace AND Lyla upside the head for some of the choices they made, but I get why the story needed to happen the way it did and in the end, it was tragedy that brought them together long enough to realize that they could no longer live without one another.

They needed to save one another, and through a painful loss, they somehow found light.

It was a long hard and painful road for the both of them, but there's is a love of a lifetime.

One that was beautifully written with devastating angst, delicious attraction and sexual tension, soul-stirring love, and a sense of a close-knit family and long lasting friendships.

Ravage was the perfect conclusion to an incredible series and I can't wait to see what's next!

Maybe.

Lyla fell in love when she was ten. Not puppy love. She kew even then that Mace was the one for her. He was her soul mate.

Mace has been in love with his best friends little sister for what seems like forever. What started out as friendship grew. But he thinks he's not good enough for her. And with Will her brother being his friend he does not want to ruin that friendship.

When Lyla confesses her love to Mace it does not turn out how she thought it would. Mace rejects her, her heart and soul in tatters she vows to do everything she can to forget Mace.

Year's later Mace reaches out but it's too late. Lyla has moved on. A boyfriend that Mace can't stand. He left it too late to tell her how he really felt. And Lyla is stubborn. She's in a good place she has Daniel and college. Mace is the past.

Married to Daniel and living a nightmare with a selfish asshole who belittles her at every opportunity, it started with words but ended with him beating her. With the help of her brother she finds the courage to start again. A job working with her brother Will and living with him. She has friends and family who love her. But when tragedy strikes and rips open a huge whole in Lyla it's Mace she turns to. But one night together does not erase the hurt of the past.

Mace is out of control, drinking to forget. He doesn't have a problem at least one he's admitted too. When he wakes up in the hospital with his band surrounding him he starts to come round. But it's Lyla is the one who scares him the most. The look on her face when she sees him in that room and he realises how bad he fucked up. If he has any hope of getting her back he needs to admit that he has a problem and he needs to get help.

Mace needs Lyla as much as she needs him. Talk about ugly cry and Jessica managed to do that. To me. I loved every book in this series. Each one was different but all well written, with the continuity following through. Catching up with the band was amazing. And the heat factor was hot enough to peel paint.

A go to for me now and I really can't recommend this series enough. All the books are out!!! So a binge read is the way to go.

I’ll start this review with stating that I had extremely high hopes for this story because I’ve been dying for Mace and Lyla’s story since I read CORRUPT a few months back. That being said, Prince not only met my expectations..she exceeded them (I’m talking full blown, blew me out of the water exceeded)! RAVAGED was everything and so much more and I loved every fucking minute of it (excuse my potty mouth).

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved every couple and their stories from the Civil Corruption series but there is something about Mace and Lyla that makes me heart beat quicker than the rest and root for them harder than I did for the others (and I was rooting hard for the others, like front stands face painted and signs hard). For a little (and I mean little) backstory I’ll give you some basics:

Lyla fell head over heels in love for Mace when she was young and knew he was it for her. Mace would never make a move on his best friends’ little sister, despite the fact that he kind of, maybe had feelings for her too. As they got older, they continued to circle around each other until eventually something that should have been a happily ever after turned into a “bye talk to you never”. Lyla and Mace went from talking everyday to not talking at all. They are eventually brought back together and Mace is given an ultimatum if he doesn’t want to lose Lyla again.

RAVAGED is an alternating story about heartbreak, forgiveness and finding love in the darkest of times.
