Sees one of the chapters is named "Pride vs Wrath"
Me: This does put a smile on my face.
One of the best volumes so far. As a huge Escanor fan, I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the last 3 chapters. However, learning more about Elizabeth and Meliodas was definitely interesting. The highlight of this volume is, of course, the resurrection (kind of) of Meliodas as the Leader of the Ten Commandments. Who is the only man who can fight him? Duh, Escanor. I'm liking this new arc already. The fight was super cool as well and it is far from over.

This is my favorite anime.
Regarding the manga/anime series itself, I have never seen a series with so many twists, turns, and reveals.

I finally finished this! I was reading it online but decided to just get all the mangas instead and thats why it took me so long to finish it.
MELIODAS VS ESCANOR WAS EVERYTHING I WAS HOPING FOR. Fuck that battle was awesome and i was a little shocked when escanor lost though i always knew in ma heart that meliodas in his demon form was freaking powerful if not the most powerful ever.
The story of Meliodas and Elizabeth broke my heart specially for meliodas, i can’t begin to imagine how he feels watching the person he loves die 105 times💔 my love for him is now bigger than before it possible🥺

The innocent getting wrongfully accused, the overthrow of an entire kingdom, demons, goddesses, fairies, talking pigs, immortal humans, "The Seven Deadly Sins" written by Nakaba Suzuki has it all! The story takes place in a medieval country called Britannia, where magical beings exist. Here, in the Kingdom of Liones, a group of seven holy knights known as the “seven deadly sins” were wrongfully accused for plotting to overthrow the kingdom and thus exiled from the kingdom. The seven deadly sins all went on their own separate ways, never seeing each again. Ten years after their separation, the holy knights below that of the seven deadly sins of Liones intend to overthrow the kingdom.
The current princess at the time in the Kingdom of Liones, Elizabeth, goes on a journey to gather the "Seven Deadly Sins" in an effort to take back the kingdom from the knights who have overthrown it. One day, she bumps into one of the deadly sins, Meliodas, seeking his help to take back the kingdom. With his help the two set off to find the remaining 6 deadly sins.
What will these two encounter, will they be able to gather all seven members without having any information of where they are?
This series as a whole is an astonishing series to pick up if you have ever considered exploring manga. Nakaba Suzuki focuses primarily on the aspect of character/plot development while also subtlety hitting the readers with the message he is trying to convey. Nakaba's primary message in "The Seven Deadly Sins" is to avoid jumping to conclusions. This is pretty evident as the Seven Deadly Sins who were accused of overthrowing the kingdom were the ones who saved the kingdom in the end. This can again be seen in the sub story that this manga has. This overall theme is a rather rich message that Nakaba is trying to convey as many issues in today's society are the result of jumping to conclusions. Nakaba also does an astounding job at the way he includes characters in this story. Major characters’ individual stories are all expanded on the thorough use of flashbacks and scenarios which are related to their past in order to touch upon the audience’s emotions. Minor characters become surprisingly relevant to the flow of the overall story. It is captivating just how Nakaba is able the effectively use character development to further expand the plot. Nakaba's "The Seven Deadly Sins" has also taken inspiration from Arthurian legend as many character identities are straight from Arthurian legend. If any of you are familiar with Arthurian legend many questions will arise as to what path Nakaba decides to follow in his incorporation of the legend. For instance, is Nakaba going to stay true to Arthurian legend or take his own little twist on it?
For the main story alone, I’d rate this series a 4.1/5 as the sub story goes into far greater detail about the origin of every character. This series has one of the best character developments I've seen in a novel or show while also not falling too hard when it comes to plot development. Many novels that I have read had amazing character development have fell really short when it came to plot. The setting he chose fit the story well, as the story took place in a fantasy medieval time period (somewhat like Game of Thrones). Imagining the idea of this story in a more modern period is just unthinkable. In terms of style, I couldn't really pinpoint it as there was a lot of dialogue, but I'd say Nakaba likes to be very humorous. This can be seen as he included an entire character just for the sake of comedy and tends to make the main character, Meliodas, do very doltish things whenever he gets the chance to. In terms of theme however, I feel like manga is pretty difficult to lay down a theme, especially this one because it is a shounen (aimed towards teenage boys), but Nakaba seemed to do a rather splendid job in terms of laying out his theme. He picked a good message to send out to his audience and did an astonishing job conveying it at the end. Overall, this book aimed towards younger males as that's the genre of manga is falls under, but I think this manga can be read by any demographic as the story and where it takes place is very interesting. To be completely honest, if you're able to pick up Game of Thrones, you'll be able to pick up this with no problem.

It feels like so little happens in each quick volume, yet at the same time a lot happens! Elizabeth starts to get her memories back - and will die in 3 days?! And is really badass and powerful? I’m anxious; I don’t want her to die but I don’t see why this should be different from the last 106 times. The Seven Deadly Sins impressively reduce Melascula (“Faith”) into a little venomous snake for Merlin to hold onto, which is great. King and Diane are so strong now! And Elaine grew a beautiful pair of wings! Much more impressive than King’s wimpy little pair (ha ha). I don’t understand Helbram’s story very well. Was he the one who killed all the humans in Coland, back when he was on his rampage? Is that why he’s saying all those grudge-holding skeletons want him? I never really understood why he was able to live so fully through the helmet anyway, so I guess I’m okay with him being gone. It was scary when Diane was possessed, but I’m glad she got out of that. I hope Meliodas and Escanor get through this fight safely... Meliodas, just calm down, please! Although I guess you can’t just ask that of the Sin of Wrath.

La copertina è magnifica, sono sconvolta dal fatto che Elizabeth stia riacquistando i suoi ricordi, ma preoccupata per lei che se ricorderà dopo tre giorni morirà. Sono molto triste per la maledizione che ha colpito i due amanti Elizabeth e Meliodas perché grazie ad essa non possono avere un’eternità insieme, ma vengono separati ripetutamente. Lo scontro tra Meliodas e Zeldris è potente e disarmante. Elaine e Ban nella tavola a pagina 140 sono dolcissimi. Elizabeth con l’aiuto di tutti riduce Melascula in un piccolo serpente e sono sconvolta dal fatto che Meliodas ha perso il controllo del suo potere.

Finally! Holy fucking shit, they FINALLY defeated Melascula! I am willing to forgive anything else that happened in this volume that I disliked because THEY FINALLY DEFEATED MELASCULA HOLY SHIIIIIIIIT!
On another note, loving Escanor duking it out with Meliodas. Love. It.
Oh, and watching Helbram sacrifice himself to free Diane from the possession was great. So sad, but a great sacrifice.
One more thing, the fight scenes were super awesome. Seriously, the fight between the Sins and the possessed Diane was sooooo awesome.
Okay, for real, done with the review. Moving on.
On another note, loving Escanor duking it out with Meliodas. Love. It.
