As plain Eriko Ichimura gets to know the bratty boy behind handsome Akira Ohmi’s smooth-spoken facade, she falls further and further for him. At the same time, even as he is strung along by Ellie’s Perv Power, Omi-kun finds himself increasingly drawn to Ellie. Their feelings culminate in mutual attraction, but Omi-kun adopts a cold attitude in order to protect her, leading to a grave misunderstanding! What will happen after they confirm each other’s feelings on Sports Day…?
Die Story wird mit jeden Band interessant. Und Story ist total niedlich. Ich bin gespannt ob es in nächstern Bände die Story noch mehr Tiefgang bekommt.
I love this so muuuch!!! It's just so adorable. The ending was such a tease! I wonder what they'll do alone together hmmmmmm. Wink wink nudge nudge I can't wait till the drama starts though *rubs her hands like a villain*
After the events of the previous volume Ellie and Ohmi have worked out their latest conflict but now finals are just around the corner and Ellie should be more concerned than she is about her grades, otherwise how will she get the chance to spend the holidays with Ohmi?
I thought Ohmi was such a sweet boyfriend in this volume. It's really nice to see him taking to heart Ellie's insecurities, and making changes accordingly. I also really appreciated how annoyed Ohmi got over people taking advantage of Ellie, though I'm still waiting for her to find her own voice. Watching her character develop over the course of each volume is one of my favourite aspects of the series and it was especially sweet seeing Ellie getting along better with her classmates. She's slowly breaking free from her shell, at an organic and believable pace. Ellie did stress me out a bit in this volume in that her loss of focus when it came to school was a bit alarming, and I felt like I cared lot more about her grades than she herself did.
I'm also still not sure how I feel about Sara and Reo's relationship, I root for them more than not, but I want more backstory between the two and I'm hoping Sara will start being nicer to Reo. Kaname makes his official appearance in this volume, I always enjoy it when a mysterious boy is introduced and he did not disappoint. Like all common tropes, Lovesick Ellie does something a bit different with him. Kaname doesn't come off as a likeable character because he speaks his mind a bit too freely and doesn't quite seem to grasp social cues, but I found this really refreshing and I'm looking forward to his future interactions with Ellie. But what really got me was the second half of the volume, our girl is always stuck in her own head and can't fathom the idea of Ohmi wanting the same things she does, this creates some really adorable scenes between the two with Ohmi really frustrated over his inability to properly convey his feelings. This was my favourite volume so far and my face hurts from smiling over it.
I think I will stop expecting something new in this manga and enjoy it just for it is. If I were to review the story itself, it's definitely kinda cute. I like how the series show how both sides are adjusting instead of throwing them into being lovey-dovey and whatnot in an instant. In a sense, I like how it's slowly showing us how both are changing because of each other. I also love the art of Fujimomo-sensei! I like the normal scenes and the "cutie" scenes/art.
Aside from the leads, I also like how the author showed more about the relationship/dynamic between Reo and Sara. Like I said with the leads, I like how the author is showing us the progress of this relationship instead of just making them in a relationship instantly.
Lastly, I still don't know what to say about Kaname. I feel like he is introduced as a potential rival for Omi but it's really too early to say what his part is in this series.
With that being said, this series is okay if you're not looking for something new, but instead, you're looking for just some light read with cute moments. I will probably continue reading this unless I find something else that catches my attention more than this.
Volume four of Lovesick Ellie continues its reign as one of the cutest mangas around! Ichimura (Ellie on twitter) unwavering adoration for Oomi remains utterly charming as she navigates the complexities of making their relationship work. Her hilariously relatable horniness provides consistent comedic relief, including a flashback moment that genuinely made me laugh out loud – the sound effects were spot on!
Beyond the central romance, this volume thoughtfully explores Ellie's friendships, addressing unfair judgments leveled against the so-called "delinquent," highlighting his true character. The introduction of a potential conflict involving after-school work and Christmas adds a touch of relatable tension. Ultimately, the volume culminates in a truly sweet kissing scene.
If you're looking for a manga that's wholesome, undeniably cute, and sprinkled with laugh-out-loud moments, Lovesick Ellie continues to deliver. It's a charming series that absolutely deserves the love it receives.
While I enjoyed this volume, it also made me feel particularly bad for Ellie and Sara-chan’s childhood friend: Reo Takagi. Ellie keeps getting taken advantage of and looked over due to her supposed lack of presence and I really want her to stand up for herself, before something bad happens. I also don’t like the fact that while Takagi is such a highly regarded student in terms of grades, he looks so much like a delinquent that I worry he could potentially get in trouble for something bad done at school that wasn’t his fault. Sara-chan also needs to be kinder to Takagi before she loses her chance to actually be with him due to her stubbornness or pride.
Me gustan demasiadoooo. Por un lado, me identifico con Ellie fantaseando hasta por si acaso y por el otro, me gusta demasiado que Oumi-kun acepte que le gusta Ellie. Además, GRACIAS NAVIDAD.
While I still enjoy the series, this volume is a bit tiring as it's more of the same. That said, I'm deeply invested in whatever is going on with Sara and Takagi. On top of that, I'm so curious as to the role Kaname's gonna play in the story.
Being so thirsty you can't concentrate on your studies is a problem! As usual for a Christmas crisis, Omie .
It's refreshing to see a female character being horned up when her own imagination runs wild, rather than it being solely in response to what Omie does with her. Though there's that, too...
She's a silly, funny girl who is a bit out of her depth when it comes to love, but c'mon, she's fifteen. I do hope the story acts responsibly when/if they become more sexually intimate.
This has to be my favorite volume so far! I loved it so much! We see Ellie-chan and Omi-kun being super adorable and cute and awkward and I just love it. We also see them develop this group with Takana and Sara and I just love it because Omi-kun final has friends he can be himself with. Lastly the introduction of Keneky-kun and he's the worst! Also, he appeared to be fun of Ellie's twitter account and I think he suspects that it's her writing them. I product, not a love triangle because Ellie's feelings for Omi-kun are powerful but at least a misunderstand or a fight between her and Omi-kun.
so fricking cute!!!!!!! and they finally kiss!!!!! ellie and ohmi are too adorable, ohmi especially is so precious. ellie’s perverted thoughts crack me up so much.
I do wish that sara and reo would have some actual movement in their relationship though…I’m not fully understanding why she’s so hostile to him. if she doesn’t like him, then he needs to go away, but if she does, then why the meanness??

The level of absurdity keeps rising! Not that it's a bad thing. That is this manga's selling poing after all :P I feel like I fully understand why "PFFFT" is the sound affect for a sudden laugh in manga after reading this volume. Also, I'm pretty sure my dog thinks I'm insane after reading this volume in front of him.
THEY FINALLY KISSED AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH BRB CRYING MY BABIES ARE SO PRECIOUS ;A; I like that it's awkward and they're so embarrassed about it; it's more pure and genuine that way since it's both their first time.
Takagi also made everything more hilarious, I really hope Sara can open up to him more. And Kaname oof I'm sensing drama broiling soon when he finds out Ellie's secret :')
with the way vol 3 ended, i was kinda hoping for more development and for them to take their relationship to the next level in this volume. but i suppose with their characters, it kinda makes sense that it wouldn’t be that easy.
this volume was still super cute, the art was great, and ellie’s outfit in the last scene looked amazing!
OMG! They finally kissed!!! I love Christmas chapters, they're always so fun and exciting for one reason or another. The new guy is kind of interesting too, I have a feeling he might be a rival for Ohmi, but there's zero chance Ellie will fall for someone else. She's just too gaga for Ohmi lmao
Ohmi is the biggest weirdo magnet, like everyone he hangs out with is super weird, and it's great. It reminds me of a more unhinged high school debut. Ellie is basically Haruna, but less innocent, and Ohmi is Yoh 2.0. I love the humor, the cast of characters, and the slow burn romance of it all. Easily a new favorite. Excited for the next volume.
The introduction to Kaname was intresting, he was a character that was intresting and mysterious until you got to know him more. He really made the drama in this volume standout. Sara and her childhood friend were so cute and brilliant. Christmas was so cute and fun, the drama before was hilarious. This was so worth the read and enjoyable.

I’m loving the story I like Ellie with her hair down. I really like that they both are super into each other even in Ohmi is such a hardheaded sometimes
I can’t wait for the next volume, still sick felling a little bit better.
Ohmi and Ellie are still extremely cute and pure. I love seeing them explore their relationship together. Joking and otherwise. I am worried about this Kaname kid. He already seems aloof to the outside world, that he'll probably get attached to Ellie.
