Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I love this series, a series about sisters and their lives and their relationships. So much laughter, love, pain and hope.
This one was no different. Abby and Levi have been best friends since they were 10years old. They went through everything. But now things are changing and Abby realised that she might have a little crush on her best friend. And that is a bit of a problem, because Levi is in a band and he has no problem finding a women to warm his bed. And he has no clue that she might be into him. So Abby has had enough of watching him with other women and decides to move on with her life, and she decides to do online dating.

But what Abby doesn't know is that things might have changed for Levi too. Now he sees his best friend as so much more than a friend. A friend that he is having sexual fantasies about, one that he wants in his bed and one he wants to be his. But before he thinks of telling her his feelings, she decides that she wants to do online dating. And that is not working for him, so he decides to join as well and starts talking to her under an assumed name. But only to help her and make sure she is safe from all the creeps out there, eventually he will tell her that its him, right??

This story is a friends to lovers story and so cute and sweet and romantic. Two best friends who have been there for each other through so much and obviously fate has a plan to have be there for each through so much more. I loved everything about this story, I loved Abby and her sisters and their relationship with each other, I loved Levi and Abby's friendship where they spend time together just talking, but you can feel this sexual tension between them. My favorite people in this book has got to be Grandma and Grandpa, they have me LMAO all the freaking time.

But I seriously can't wait for Lexi and Linkin. But I also want to read Meghan story and man do I hope she gets a happily ever after! Definitely Definitely a good series

6 Hearts!

My Kinda Song is the third book in the Summer Sisters series by the very talented and hilarious Lacey Black. Each book is about one of these amazing sisters finding love. I absolutely love this six-pack of sisters. Jaime and Payton had their turn and now it's time for Abby to get her man. A man that just so happens to be her best friend.

Levi and Abby have been best friends since they were ten years old. They have always felt a connection. They know one another better than they know themselves. They do everything together. They are even neighbors. They can talk about anything. But lately, it seems that things have shifted. They both feel it but won't acknowledge it. They want their best friend.

Abby has seen Levi leave with many groupies after a set with his band throughout the years. With each one, it crushes her more and more. She can't do it anymore. She has to get over him and with the support of her sisters, she tries.

Levi isn't happy about this. Not one bit. Of course, he doesn't know why she is doing it, but he can't let his best friend fall for another douche bag. Not when he wants her. Badly. Insanely.

Are these two finally ready to see what everyone else has been witness to over the years? The sexual tension. The looks. The love.

I love friends to lovers romances. I have read many but this has to be one of my favorites! Seriously...I am kinda in love with Levi. Ok...a lot in love with Levi. I mean come on...he is not only in a band, he is an EMT and a volunteer fireman. And on top of that hotness, he is tatted, pierced, and loves to cook and bake. He is a walking and talking orgasm!! He is also sweet and a dirty talking giver. I can't even think straight while thinking about him. *swoon* Then there is Abby. She is bookworm with a fierce side. I might just have a girl crush on her.

Overall...this is my favorite book of the series! I knew it was going to be a fun and sexy ride but Lacey blew me away with this one! Yes. It's sexy and fun. But it's so, so, so much more. I cried more than handful of times. I laughed out loud at the antics of this family. I felt my body heat up. This couple! It's like a slow burn I couldn't wait for it to go up in flames!

Quotes:

Martians could touch down and steal her sisters, and unless they landed directly on my abs, she wouldn’t have a clue.

Well, I feel like the third wheel in the opening scene of a porno.

“Something tells me I’m in over my head with you, Levi Morgan.”

5 SMOOCHES!

I’m a huge fan of Lacey Black’s, and when I want a sexy, sweet small-town romance, she’s my go-to author for that. Her Rivers Edge series is one of my all-time favorites, and the Summer Sisters series has become another. Black is a very talented author, and small town, big-family-based romances are totally her jam. She creates contemporary romance magic within the pages of these types of stories, and readers of who enjoy passionate, poignant romances will absolutely love the ones penned by Black.

My Kinda Song is the third book in the Summer Sisters series, and it’s a friends-to-lovers story between one of the twin youngest Summer sisters, Abby, and her life-long best friend, Levi. Black built upon this couple’s special friendship, with the repressed attraction and feelings between these two characters, to build a love story that has been years in the making. Everyone else could see the chemistry between Abby and Levi, but it took some time for the two of them to open their eyes to what was right there in front of them.

Once Abby and Levi crossed the line, however, there was no going back. Firefighter, paramedic slash local weekend rock star Levi knew what he had in Abby, but not a guy who was used to putting in the effort where women were concerned, he was bound to mess up. Abby has been in love with Levi for years, her heart breaking each time she would see him head off after a show with a groupie in tow. Having had enough of that, romance novel editor Abby decided it was time to stop pining for her best friend and try find her own happily ever after. When she mentioned to Levi that she was giving online dating a try, it was a game-changing moment of realization for him, and he pulled out all the stops in his pursuit of his best friend.

A charming and endearing yet incredibly steamy love story, My Kinda Song was a page-turner that I didn’t want to put down. Some meddling sisters, clingy groupies, wildly inappropriate grandparents and a fire that threatens everything rounded it out into something special that kept me smiling and made my heart happy from cover-to-cover. I absolutely loved it! Five smooches from me for My Kinda Song by Lacey Black!

Great story, little longer than I normally read, but still good.
H has been single for a year, since his feelings started to change. He was with others before that year, it's still a great read. There is no ow sex scenes or anything like that. It's a good read.

First of all, I love Lacey Black’s writing since reading her Rivers Edge series. This book is the third book in the Summer Sisters series but can be read as a standalone if you’ve not read the first two. The series covers six sisters living in Juniper Bay and this book tells the tale of Abby Summer and her best friend, the man she has loved her whole life, Levi Morgan, EMT, volunteer fire fighter and guitarist in the local band, adored by all of the girls in town and the man Abby is besotted with. Life in the friend zone sucks and Abby finally has had enough. Enough of watching Levi blaze his way through various women and tired of always being there for him but never being ‘seen’ by him. The buck stops here, Abby is fed-up and decides it’s time to move on – it’s lost cause after all - and try and forget about any romantic future with Levi. She decides to try an internet dating site to help her do so and unbeknown to her, Levi‘s feelings for his best friend begin to shift and he starts seeing Abby in a whole new light and he’s hating the fact that she’s looking for a romantic relationship with someone else. He needs to do something about this fast because Abby with someone else? Just not gonna happen on his watch. But then lies come into play and forgiveness is needed. I absolutely love a friend’s to lover’s tale, and if you add in a dash of jealousy, I’m all over that. Some books like this are just okay and some are done very well and this is one of them. It just felt so natural and so real, I related to what was going through both the MC’s minds as they began to realise they felt more for each other than just being best friends. I loved the heat in this book, it’s one of the things I loved about the Rivers Edge series too, Lacey Black just tells it so well and her men are oh so delicious but very human and down-to-earth too. I really enjoyed this story, it was very sweet, but please don’t think sweet means light or without substance because it wasn’t, at all, it’s a tale that warmed my heart and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

The spot of colour on the book cover which drew my eye when I spotted it is equivalent to how the story is. I have always been a friends-to-lovers theme. So I have read many in that category and honestly, recently, I have felt tired of that genre. But this book revitalised my interest with the author's writing. I am really glad I didn't overlook the book!

I can't help but say this again. I love the author's writing. Her at times snarky dialogue and the sexy chemistry between the protagonists and the soft love prevalent at all times, all together, make for a great read. Actually, I felt the story was too short when done. That might be because the time flew when I was lost in the love story that is My Kinda Song. I can say that this is my kinda book!

The characters, not only the protagonists, are memorable in their roles. I love the familial bond of the sisters. It makes me long for sisters of my own. The friendly camaraderie between Abby and Levi is separate from their love and it shines in its own way. And I love, love , love the romance. It is hot and heavy and perfectly suits Levi. Levi is such a guy and the lengths he goes to get Abby shows his depth while Abby is a shy girl who becomes determined to move on with her life.

The only part I can say I didn't like were the sexual references and scenes. I felt that they might have been avoided in certain situations alone. Other than that I have no complaint at all about the book! Now I am looking forward to peeking into the sisters' stories and if they are all in the same vein as this one, I believe the author will end up on my Read-now authors' list.
I received a free copy for reviewing purposes. All these are my own views and aren't influenced by anything.

My one line review : A hot and sexy friends-to-lovers ride!

First of all can I say that I can't believe that this is the first time I hear about Lacey Black or this series…
Where have you been hiding?!?!

OMG to say that I loved it is an understatement. Everything thing about this book is just perfect.

Abby and Levi have been best friends since forever and they are inseparable. But lately things have become a bit strange and that is because they have started to develop feeling that aren’t exactly friendly.

After seeing Levi with what Abby thinks is another in a long line of woman in his life, she is determent to leave her silly little crush behind her and
decides to start with on-line dating. When Levi finds out about her plan he gets insanely jealous and decides to make a profile on the same page as her to protect her, since that’s what BF do right??

With the »help« of Abby's sisters, Levi finally decides that enough is enough and he convinces Abby to give them a chance at something MORE than just being friends.

Quotes:
“I’m terrified I’m going to fuck up the best friendship I’ve ever had or will have. But do you know what?" He asks, his eyes unwavering. Unable to respond I shake my head. "My need to find out what has developed between us is greater. It’s like a carving I can’t quench. You’re my craving”.

The chemistry was HOOOOOT. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what happens next.

When Abby finds out that Levi betrayed her trust she almost leaves him – but soon she discovers that he didn’t do it to hurt her and that he loves her more than himself.

Quote:
“ My sweetest Abby,

There’s a rose here for every time I’ve thought of you since last night. A petal for every minute my heart bet for only you. Take the time you need, but know that I am thinking of you, my arms ready to hold you, my lips ready to kiss you, me heart ready to be given to you.
I’m yours. Always have been. Always will be.
Levi”

If you need a book that will make you smile then this one is for you. Can't wait for Lexi and her book…I have a feeling it will be explosive!
Now if you'll excuse me I have to start reading book 1 and 2 because I’m missing out. :)

Okay, it is official... Lacey you have my complete attention, and I do not see it wavering in the near future. This series follows a group of 6 sisters, who will get their own books, (some have already published, Payton and Jamie and this about Abby.) Each can be read as a standalone, but they do interconnect, and have dual POV's. This family is extremely close. They have traditions that they follow such as, on the first Saturday of each month the sisters get together, taking turns picking the location and activity. And they have extremely inappropriate grandparents (Emma and Orval) who I kinda wish were apart of my family.

Abby is the second to youngest sibling, but also has a twin named Lexi who is her exact mirror image, even though they are nothing alike, she is Abby's other half, her go to for everything besides her best friend Levi with whom she has been secretly in love with. Abby is the girl, who usually wears very little makeup and clothing that actually covers up her body. Abby not only sucks a sports, but pretty much everything that does not involve words. She likes to read, that is why she has a job at StoneWell Publishing.

Levi has been in a band as the lead guitar player and a back up vocalist since he was 19. Not only a band member, but also an EMT and a volunteer firefighter as well. He plays to wind down after a long work week. With a band comes women, and what hot blooded male is going to turn down a free piece of tail with no strings attached? Not Levi, he goes home with woman after woman. Abby has been Levi's best friend for 15 years, she is the only constant in his life, and he has no plans for that to change.

After spending most of her life being in love with her best friend, she is tired of seeing him with a different woman every other night and sets out to not be plain Jane Abby any more, her solution : A dating site, to once and for all forget about her "crush". With the realization that he wants and needs Abby, that no one is ever going to be able to be that man she needs, Levi sets out to show her what their connection has always been, and will always be. But what happens when your secrets are outed and the lies are exposed? Do you fight for what you know is right, or play a sad kinda song?

This is a friends to lovers romance, and one of the best that I have read. I loved loved loved Levi and Abby's story. I can not wait for the rest of the sisters stories, especially Lexi's story..

*I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

It was good, still not IN LOVE but I think I’m getting there. The more I read this series, the more emotionally connected I feel to the characters.

I do have to say that I liked this a little more than the previous ones due to the fact that the grandparents were tones down a bit. They weren’t as crazy as they were in the other books. It felt more real.

I’m still impatiently waiting for Meghan’s book...

officially over this series

I've been waiting for Abby and Levi's love story since they were introduced in the first book but now that I'm done with this book, I think I'm equally done with this series as a whole. I feel like I've been trying to get through this series for a while now and the plotlines always have so much potential, but the execution is just never there. Especially considering Levi is quite literally an EMT volunteer firefighter rockstar -- legitimately the full package -- and yet, I don't know if it's possible for him to be a less appealing hero. One of my biggest gripes is the lack of conflict in any of these books. And when there is conflict, it just seems so stupid and contrived. In this story, Abby decides that she needs to get over her crush by signing up for online dating, which is a perfect conflict and could just stop there. But then for whatever reason, the author feels the need to go overboard and have Levi sign up to the same dating service and catfish Abby for the entire story, even when they're already together. I would have loved to see Abby getting out there, going on dates and meeting new people, and of course, Levi getting a lil jelly. I don't know how to explain it, but the parts that should be complicated, like them getting past their friendship and transitioning into a romantic relationship, come too easy for the characters, and the parts that should be simple, like Levi letting Abby try online dating without catfishing her, are harder than they have to be. Overall, disappointed because this is the couple that I've been anticipating most only to be let down

Holy Hanna! I absolutely love the stories that Lacey Black writes, and this one does not disappoint.
I was lucky enough to be send an ARC of this novel. So here is my review - no spoilers - I promise!
For me this book was one that I could really relate too, because I too have been in the situation where I am in love with my guy best friend. I think that Lacey does a really good job making all of her novels relate able but it still will suck you into the world of the Summer Sisters. This story pulled your heart in different directions. Because of the duel point of view you are able to see the emotions each character has as they go through their life. This is such an interesting way to write a novel and it is not always done well. Lacey however writes duel POV's like a pro!
Almost every romance novel follows the same story line - the couple gets together, there is a situation or conflict that arises to make them break up - then they get back together to live happily ever after. When I read most romance novels the break up happens due to a very unrealistic dramatic event. However Lacey doesn't do that. Lacey makes her stories relate-able and believable. The conflicts that arise in her story make the story seem even more real because I know that I would have thought the exact same thing that Abby did in those situations. I like that you can also see in Abby's head and hear her thoughts - and to see someone in love but try to hid it makes you connect with the character even more, because this does happen all of the time to both women and men that are in love all over the world.
What I also like about the Summer Sisters novel is that not only does it tell the story about Abby and Levi but it also tells the stories about the rest of the sisters as well.
You feel for Meghan, you want to know what is going on with Lexi, you are so happy for Payton, etc. And it makes these books even more enjoyable.
SO romance readers: I give this book 10/10 and highly suggest you read this book (only after you've read the first 2 in the series, of course). I laughed, I cried, and I loved along with Abby and Levi.

Sometimes an author comes along and sweep us up with one incredible book and I wish that I could say that here, that this is the case but if I’m being honest Lacey Black keeps doing that over and over with each and every book she writes.  My Kinda Song is hands down my favorite that Lacey has written.  I fell completely in love with Abby and Levi.

The easiness of their friendship, each both fighting feelings for each other and not wanting to act on it in fear of ruining their friendship.  From the first page this one pulled me in.  The first chapter had my heart breaking for Abby.  The feelings Abby had, I felt as if they flew off the page and landed straight in my heart.  I loved Levi and how he fought his feelings for his best friend but finally when Abby decided to try out dating sites did it give him a swift kick in the behind to act.  His thought process may have been that he was doing it to make sure that she was okay and not getting involved with the wrong men but it led him to finally realize that he had to stop denying what was right in front of his face.

Levi’s heart is in the right place but the one thing he should do, he doesn’t.   Even given the chance to tell Abby the truth, he still hides it.  But when everything falls apart will Levi be able to piece it back together, will he be able to fix them?

The chemistry between these two just soars off the pages and feels so real.  This book owns my heart.  I’m still thinking about this one after reading.  And I can’t forget the love of this family or grandma and grandpa in this series.  This would not be a Summer book without the grandparents.  I always think there’s no way they can be topped by the last book but each and every time I love these grandparents even more.

This is Lacey Black’s best work yet and I have a feeling she just getting started.

I can't tell you how much I ADORED this book!!! Lacey Black has become a Unicorn Author for me...I have read and LOVED every single book she's written to date, and My Kinda Song is no exception! It is quintessentially Lacey, so PERFECT, so ANGSTY, soooooo laugh-out-loud HILARIOUS and, of course, it wouldn't be classic Lacey Black without the panty-melting HAWTNESS!!!

Abby is the third Summer sister to get her looooooong-awaited HEA!!! She and her best friend, the almost perfect (and perfectly, INSANELY gorgeous) Levi, have been friends since they were kids and as they've grown up their friendship has slowly shifted and changed, but neither one will acknowledge their feelings! Abby is the first to understand that Levi is becoming soooooo much more than her best friend....that she can't stand by and watch him take a different woman home every night (and this is compounded by the fact that Levi lives directly across the hall from her!) When Abby finally comes to the realization that Levi DOESN'T share her feelings, she knows she has to move on and she decides to try something new, with her sisters' help, of course! Unbeknownst to Abby, Levi IS aware of the change in his feelings for her, but like her he doesn't want to risk losing his best friend when it all blows up in his face (which he KNOWS will happen!!) Bring on all the off-the-charts slow burning sexual chemistry!!! But will the lies uncovered ruin EVERYTHING??!!

This story reached out and grabbed me right from the get-go, providing ENDLESS feels, heart-wrenching emotion, rolling-on-the-floor gut-aching laughs from those oh-so-inappropriate grandparents and INCREDIBLY SEXY, SWOONY love scenes!!! 🔥🔥🔥Once again, Lacey nailed it with another MUST READ!!!

This was my first book from Lacey Black but after reading this it's safe to say it won't be my last. I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers storyline and Ms. Black's spin on it was certainly a fun one. This book had me laughing and sighing.

I genuinely liked Abby and Levi, both individually and together. Abby is the kind of girl I would want to be friends with-down to earth, funny, sweet and a little shy. She's loyal and protective, and guards her own heart the best she can. Levi....well Levi is just insanely hot. A man that can play a guitar and sing? One that can make his girl laugh and love like no other? Sign me up!

I loved the slow burn chemistry here. Both of these characters are so afraid to change the dynamic of their relationship but one night changes everything in the best possible way. Seeing them realize their feelings for each other and admit them to one another had me sighing. Their sexy times? LOL I thought my kindle was going to melt more than once-especially with the addition of some jewelry for Levi.

I will say sometimes the secondary characters pulled me out of the story a tiny bit. I understand this is a series-though this can be enjoyed as a standalone-but there were times I didn't want to focus on issues other characters had, I wanted to focus on Levi and Abby.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was fun, sweet and hot. This friends to lovers was a quick read for me and I would recommend it.

I've been waiting for Levi and Abby's story since well since we first met Levi and Abby! Best friends to lovers are my kind of stories and this one blew me away! Best friends to lovers and an amazing family. Those are two of the best things in a story and this series and this book have both!!

Levi: sexy, alpha, best friend, firefighter, emt, tattooes, and most importantly the one for Abby!!! Abby: sweet, shy, kind, beautiful, my dream job, amazing sister, best friend, and again most importantly the one for Levi! All we need now is for these two to actually figure that out. And let me tell you, it gets kind of messy. But what kind of story would it be if it wasn't! It was messy, it was beautiful, it was filled with laughter and some tears, but more importantly it was filled with two people destined to be together! There may have been some jealousy, some fights, some online dating, and some lies. But in the end it's what made these two who they are and their story! Levi and Abby, Abby and Levi! Just gah!

And I'll go one step further. This family has each other's backs no matter what! The sisters, grandma and grandpa, Brian, and the guys. Brian and Levi have a heartfelt moment that I felt in my soul. And then Levi. Obviously his love for our girl is apparent but Lexi needed someone and he was ready to rip off Chris's head. The lengths these characters go to protect and live and cherish each other, just it makes my heart smile! I can't wait for more of the Summer sisters!! ❤️

My Kinda Song is the third book in the Summer Sisters series. I love this series. These sisters and these men are so fun! Lacey Black is my kinda author. She always hooks me in with her humor, keeps me in with her fresh storylines and warms my heart with her characters. My Kinda Song is Abby's story. We, of course know Abby. She's been in love with her best friend Levi for years. They have a special relationship. They are always there for one another but lately Abby's having a hard time being around him. Her feelings are too strong and knowing that he's not that in to her makes her sad. But is he really not in to her? It seems that Levi's feelings are changing as well, but he has no idea what to do with them. But after she joins an online dating site he knows what to do. He's going to make her his. Whatever it takes. I loved watching this friends to lovers story. Levi is sexy and sweet with his smiles and his dirty mouth. Abbey is funny, loving and so damn cute! I laughed, cried, got hot and bothered and laughed more! I can't wait for more from the fabulous Summer sisters!

Martians could touch down and steal her sisters, and unless they landed directly on my abs, she wouldn’t have a clue.

“Come on, angel. Let’s buy books.”
She stops and looks me square in the eye. “That may be the most romantic thing anyone has ever said to me.”
“I aim to please, sweetheart. Let’s go.”

"You make me so fucking nuts that I can’t think straight, can’t even see what’s around me. You are all I see, all I want, and all I fucking need.”

Lacey Black!!!!!...yeah I don't have words! SWOON!!!!
Omg!!! I wanted to read so bad about Abby.
Abby Summer knew Levi Morgan since they were kids.

For fifteen years and an amazing friendship, Abby saw women coming in and out from Levi's life. She saw him with different eyes but knew that he'll never look her way the same as she did it.

Levi Morgan not only looked like every fantasy of a girl, he was. A musician, a firefighter, sounds hot?. He never wanted more than a friendship from Abby, until one night he started to see her like the amazing woman that he was.

Abby was tired of being in the shadows, she wanted a love like her sisters were getting, she wanted Levi but he made her clear that nothing could happen and ruin their friendship.

Levi thought that he was ok having her as a friend, he couldn't imagine his life without her, even when the little brunette was pure temptation. He could resist and have her in is life, he just didn't expect Abby's move.

Levi had two options, living without Abby and looking from faraway a guy worshipping her? Or take a chance and find what it was to be with the best woman he ever met, specially when the fire was burning him inside.

Lacey make us feel very spoiled, we got our romance, we cry with her, we laugh, with a broken and full heart? We love her stories.

This book is amazing and definitely Levi is my fav boyfriend from her. The chemistry, the passion, the love and fire! Omg!!! Levi was so alpha that I didn't know what to do with myself! Definitely 5 and more stars!

Your heart will sing for the friends to lovers romance, My Kinda Song, the next in the Summer Sisters series by Lacey Black!

Abby Summers's best friend, Levi, has been a constant in her life for 10 years. She has always loved him, but over time she fell IN love with him. Levi has a bit of a reputation around town and it is well-deserved, but a year ago, something changed, he started seeing his best friend, Abby, differently. When one night on the beach changes everything, Abby and Levi realize that maybe they mean more to each other, but neither is ready to admit it.

This is a sexy, sweet, friends to lovers romance that will have you smiling from ear to ear. Abby is a bit awkward, but genuine and I kind of loved that she was so unsure of herself when it came to Levi. Levi is great, a bit intense and most definitely obsessed with his **ahem** member, but his love for Abby is so sexy, sweet. I honestly wasn't sure how this one would play out, because there was no aha moment for me as I read along, but I liked the conflict that Lacey Black threw in and then there is a "Oh no" moment right near the end that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Another great read from Lacey Black. I love the Summer Sister Series and look forward to Lexi's story! (A cute little set up for that book, btw)

Where can I get my own Levi Morgan?

Lacey Black brings you the hotness in the Summer Sisters Series. You can't help but want one of the hot guys she delivers to you in ebook form.

Abby and Levi are up. And let me tell you, Levi is ALWAYS up, and ready. You seriously can't get enough of him and his pierced cock. I know I can't
Step into the world of Abby Summer. Editor, twin, and best friend.
Abby has been best friends with Levi since they were 10 years old.
The connection they both have is getting stronger, but either of them hasn't accepted that they belong together. While Abby watches her best friend take home women non-stop, her heart breaks a little more. She knows she can't cross that line with Levi, but try telling her heart that. And her family.

Levi sees his best friend in a different light when he over hears her and her other sisters talk about joining a dating site. Jealousy is the devil and will bite him in the ass by the time this is all over.
These two are HOT together. Their connection is one we all want. The friends to lovers story is one of the BEST I've read in a very long time.

Lacey is amazing and delivers another HOT read with this series. Pick up the series today, you won't regret it.

My Kinda Song is the third title in the Summer Sisters series, and features Levi and Abby. My Kind of Song is a friends to lovers, contemporary romance with equal parts heat, heart and humor.

Levi is a tattooed, pierced, sexy EMT, who volunteers as a fire fighter and plays guitar in a band. Add to that he is incredibly sweet, kind, caring, protective and loves to cook! He's an incredibly swoon worthy book boyfriend with all his endearing attributes and his dirty mouth certainly doesn't hurt!

Abby is lovely, she's shy, quiet and reserved. She has a love of romance, and is a book editor. She loves fiercely and with her whole heart and I found her to be a very relate-able character.

The chemistry and sexual tension between this pair is both intense and steamy.

I adore the Summer Sisters, and loved how much they appeared within this title. I loved the interaction between Brian (Abby's father) and Levi. You won't forget this pair of inappropriate grandparents, but they didn't appear quite as often as in the previous title.

There is just the right amount of conflict to keep you completely enthralled and engaged with not only Levi and Abby, but the whole Summers family. I will be eagerly awaiting Lexi's story next!

I have been so excited for this book since I first met Levi. Best friends to lovers is one of my all time favorites and this one may be one of my all time favorites. Their 15 year history is filled with lots of ups, downs and a love that has been building deep within. Fed up with waiting and hoping, Abby finally decides its time to make a change. You go girl! And it was exactly what Levi needed to finally wake up. No more fighting the desire and longing they both have, no more denying the emotions and feelings, no more tiptoeing around. And when it finally happened, oh it was so worth the wait! Scorching, burn the sheets up, good job he's a firefighters because DAMN!!!
I think at one point i was yelling at my kindle, and possibly cried too. There's always so much emotion and feeling with this family. I really loved hearing from the other sisters and and of course Gram and Gramps.....they are a highlight in every book. The previous three books and been amazing but there was just something more about this one, definitely a favorite this year!

I was VERY fortunate to receive an ARC copy of the 3rd book in this funny, witty, captivating, swoon worthy, steamy series about 6 sisters (and 2 very naughty grandparents). I am a sucker for friends to lovers stories- they're my favorites. So when I read the blurb for this third book, after reading and falling in love with the story lines, characters and writing style of books 1 and 2, I knew! I knew this story would pull me in and not let go! As with the first 2 books, it's told in dual points of view. Its written so well, you feel the emotions along with the characters. Abby is just a sweet, lovable, down to earth girl. Levi is the sexy best friend... blind to what's right in front him until he's forced to open his eyes. From page 1 to the very end, this story just flows. There are no points in the book where it drags or goes off course. It just flows so smoothly - it captivates the reader. I didn't want to put it down but at the same time did not want the story to end. Definitely, without a doubt, at least a 5 star read. Can't wait to see what the rest of the sisters have in store for us.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, lies, and heartbreak.

If you have not already read the below I would recommend reading those books first:
My Kinda Kisses (Summer Sisters #1)
My Kinda Night (Summer Sisters #2)

This is Abby and Levi’s story. Abby has loved Levi most of her life. For years she has stood to the side as he has been with woman after woman. She knows she needs to move on he is not going to notice her if he never has before. She joins a date site and tries to move on. When Levi’s friend Abby signs up for a dating site he knows he needs to keep an eye on everything. What happens when he starts noticing her a little differently then he used to? He wants her but she is working against him with the dating site. Now he’s got competition that he never had before she was just always around and there for him. Will he be able to get her to see him in a different light? Or will lies and secrets keep these two from ever trusting or building a relationship?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

I absolutely adore this author and her books. The soft landing her books provide are exactly what I need when I'm coming out of overly angsty books. Contemporary romance at its best really. The writing is sweet. The characters are swoony. The storylines make your heart flutter. And it's ask bundled into perfection.

My Kinda Song is the third standalone book in the Summer Sisters series and definitely my favorite out of the three. Sweet. Fun. Light. Simple. Sexy. Lacey Black delivers a captivating romance that hooked me from the first chapter. This friends to lovers romance with have your heart swelling with love and your soul content with happiness.

She's been in love with him for years.
He's only ever looked at her as a friend... until now.

Undeniable chemistry. Unforgettable moments. Hilarious banter. This book and these characters will steal your heart... they sure did mine.

Lacey is always an automatic one-click for me and THIS book is shows me exactly why.

I highly recommend this book.
