C'est l'heure de se coucher. Mais cette fois, c'est le livre qui a envie qu'on lui raconte une histoire avant de dormir. Doucement, ses yeux deviennent lourds, puis se ferment quand on lui fait un bisou et il s'endort…
A little pink mouse invites young readers to interact with a very sleepy little book. They get to go through an entire bedtime ritual with the book, who has already brushed its teeth and gone potty. Read the book a little story and tuck it in cozy and warm. Give it a hug and a kiss and it’s all set for you to close the book very gently and tiptoe away. Good night!
Big, simple, calm graphics, with a gentle style that makes a great addition to the bedtime routine. My daughter loves this book. It's the first one she ever asked for by name.
I read this book with a group of two year olds and their caregivers. It went well and the kids were engaged in putting the book to bed. I think it would work even better one-on-one. The one thing that is a bit strange is that you are invited to read the book a book, which would mean interrupting the book to read another book, which is essentially what I did.
Content Considerations: mentions pee-pee for a bedtime routine.

With each review, I provide Content Considerations, mentioning any objectionable content I come across so that parents and/or conscientious readers (like me) can determine beforehand whether they want to read a book or not. Content surprises are super annoying, especially when you’re 100+ pages in, so here’s my attempt to help you avoid that!

I love it when we discover a book with a unique idea. This one is interactive, but it in a sweet and calm way that makes it still great for a bedtime story. The concept is that your book is getting sleepy so you have to ask it questions, give it a little hug and kiss, and tuck it in for bed. A completely adorable goodnight story that my kids love. The perfect goodnight story for toddlers through kindergarten.
This book was a delight to review! The story revolves around the child establishing a routine before going to bed. But as the chores/tasks are completed, the face of the book eventually starts to fall asleep so the child also gains an emotional and social awareness of what it means to be tired/ fall asleep. Graphic representations of the book were pretty good and the child could actually see that it is the book and not a person falling asleep.
Lots of things get ready for going to sleep, and this book is no exception.
I like a good bedtime book, and this is a bedtime book literally about a bedtime book. It's a pretty unique idea, the book itself getting ready for sleep, and it's fun to interact as the narrator suggests (though in our case it's mostly the reader hugging and kissing the book goodnight rather than the readee).
This unique board book asks readers to gently lull it to sleep. In quiet voices, readers are asked to make sure the book has brushed it's teeth, that it's warm enough, to give it hug, and a kiss, then slowly turn out the lights. This one's definitely different, but I like the interactive quality!
This book did my librarian heart good! Toddlers love acting out daily routines and this book has the cute twist of putting a book to bed instead of a doll or stuffed animal. The illustrations were cute and simple and I loved reading this as much as my toddler did!
This is a wonderful book. Perfect for working on bedtime. I would have given it 5 stars, but who wants to teach their kid to say pee-pee instead of going potty or to the bathroom? I can't believe that made the okay of children's editors.
Absolutely the cutest book ever! My son loves hugging, kissing, and "turning out the light" for this little blue book. He giggles when he closes the book and I say the book went to bed. So simple, but so darling and fun for little ones.

I was kind of torn about whether I think this book is cute or weird...but I guess the two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. It would work well for a baby lapsit, I think. Or even a family storytime, since it's kind of similar to older siblings helping younger kiddos get ready for bed.
The idea of the book is cute - the mouse is helping put the book to sleep for bedtime - but why does a children's book have to ask "did you go pee pee?" Not everyone uses this phrase - why not just ask: "did you go to the bathroom?"
Not a favorite board book. Glad it is only a library book.
The book is getting sleepy. Ask it if it brushed its teeth. Ask it if its warm enough. This is a cute, simple, interactive book that little ones will love playing along with. The only thing I didn't love is that part of the questioning is to ask the book if it went "pee-pee."
This book is a great read for preschool/kindergarten aged children! The illustrations are calm and aged appropriate for a night time book. Simple and interactive concept that allows children to ask the book questions before it goes to bed.
