Kell Eden and Parker Leipold hate each other’s guts.
They’re the two best students in their program, but that’s where their similarities end. Kell is an omega with a confidence problem, and he just can’t understand why Parker always singles out his best work with the harshest critiques. He’s always been a jerk from the very first moment they met, and Kell is certain it’s because Parker has always lived his life in the lap of luxury.
Parker is an alpha who gives zero f*cks. He knows he’s the best at what he does, and what anyone else thinks about him doesn’t matter—except when it comes to his home life. He’s kept that a big secret, having been cut off by his parents for supporting his estranged brother and four-year-old nephew, who both live with him in his tiny apartment. With them to look after, Parker couldn’t care less about anything else—especially not finding a mate.
When Kell and Parker get assigned as partners for a school project opposites attract, and the two rivals in close proximity find themselves struggling to deal with their unusual and (mostly) unwanted attraction. Especially when they realize they’re next door neighbors.

Yes, other readers complained it was a fast ending which it probably was but it was still a cute short story that I enjoyed. What I really liked about this couple was how Kell wasn’t afraid to call out Parker out on his rude comments. 😂Enjoyable low angst read.
This omegaverse book started out good. Is eleven chapters a novella? Then a lack of depth or something not connecting for me had it becoming a disappointing ‘meh’ read. MC Parker was aloof and hot and a hero for taking care of his brother and nephew. Andrew was nervous and shy and couldn’t understand his feelings for antagonistic art school classmate Parker. He would talk things out with best friend who was non intrusive. Hurt feelings and the big misunderstanding were plot points along with a tentative relationship building as the two opened up somewhat to each other. The alpha/omega lust was there, but it felt low key to me. The book ends abruptly with a brief HEA and future epilogue with bringing new baby home from hospital, no mating or pregnancy on page in this book. If you read this review you read the book! JK 😂
I think this is the first Ashe Moon book that I’ve read and I’m always wary of authors who are new to me because I don’t know if it’s going to be good or if it will just crash and burn. So I’m usually kinda skittish when I start reading, wondering if the next page is where disaster will be.
Luckily, this was great!! The writing was flawless. Characters had character and layers. Plot line was pretty solid if simple. So why only 3 Stars? Well, because it was a pretty low angst, low drama but way too simple to be giving anything above 3 stars, at least in my opinion.
I think I’ll keep reading Ashe Moon. So hopefully the plots get more developed over time!
Kell and Parker are the best artists in their class, and are seen as rivals. Kell doesn’t think Parker likes him, and he’s not a huge fan of the other man. A class project has them working together, and as they work together, they get a bit closer, and a mutual attraction is born.
Parker is keeping a secret, will it being them together or tear them apart when it comes out?
I liked this, but I don’t understand why Parker isn’t up front about his family from the start. Luckily, their misunderstanding was resolved quickly.
This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I liked Kell a lot and for the most part I liked the interactions between him and Parker. But it's much harder for me to like Parker especially when he didn't apologize to Kell for a big misunderstanding that he was at fault for. He explained the truth of things but didn't say "I'm sorry I didn't explain before"
Book is bad, ends at around 85%, and had large spaces between each paragraph, like abnormally large. Lots of errors in writing and the characters were boring. Not an ABO, just mpreg, but the "omegas" all act like women. This is a marketing scheme for page reads.
My Next Door Omega (ARC) was graciously provided to me by the author for an honest review.
"Art in the Omegaverse.."
What a wonderful and welcomed new read I wish I could read all over again. I absolutely loved it and as I feel myself trying not to float away from this present dreamy state, I will attempt to write this new review, and, I will gladly do so.
Having just read, My Next Door Omega by Ashe Moon, I feel like I've come across a new and talented author, one who I will gladly read again. This particular story had me immersed in not only an Omegaverse once again, but also in a story where characters are able to surround themselves with art, as their own beautiful talents are able to flourish. It was such a joy to not only read about the success which had been obtained from all of the hard work from the main characters, Kell and Parker, but, also see how they were both able to grow as a result of one another's support.
My Next Door Omega, was such a sweet, heart-warming, heart-breaking, hopeful, exciting, and, fulfilling read. A read that had an authentic and completely written storyline, with that hint of an alpha-omega connection that was perfectly written as well, all with an epilogue that had all of the feels coming to the surface in full-force.
As I think back to all of the wonderful moments from this story, as there were many, I also wish that there had been more depth to the main and also the heart-breaking sub-plot, as well as more depth to the main characters as well. In addition, I also feel there is still a need for another run through with the editing process for typos and slightly also for pacing. I enjoyed the secondary characters and feel that they were also developed well enough to already elicit the hope for future books. Lastly, the setting was not only very interesting but also extremely realistic as the Omegaverse is always such a pleasure to read. :)
Another brilliant read💙 I received this book for an honest opinion. I know that I always have a good read with Ashe Moon and as of yet have never had a duff book and I still haven't. This book is about Kell who is a talented artist that goes to a prestigious art college but is shy and does not have the confidence in his own talent and worth so is working in retail instead of in his dream job of selling his own pieces like most of the others in his class. Parker seems to have it all, talent that seems to just come naturally to him and where it seems he doesn't even have to work for it, rich parents so he doesn't have to struggle and thinks he's the bee's knees and who seriously gets on Kell nerves what with his perfect aloof manner which irritates Kell especially when his work is the only one Parker seems to always have some bad critique for. In reality Parker is living in a run down flat with his omega brother and nephew and is supporting them seems his rich parents have disinherited him due to his past. Now he's being financially cut off with a job he doesn't like and has a hard time communicating with people instead coming off as abrupt and abrasive. This story is about there friction of discontent and not liking each other to actually starting a relationship but with secrets coming out and wrong impressions it's a hard slog before they get there happy ever after. I liked these characters and of course the secondary characters, William, Nate and Jessie. This author really knows how to get you to feel with these characters and I really didn't like the parents. A very good read and I'm looking forward to Williams book.
My Next Door Omega by author Ashe Moon has the story of Kill and Parker. I think of this story as finding yourself and who you really are on the inside type of story. While the writing is good there is a little bit of an off feeling to this story. Not so much I was off put or didn’t want to read it but it just kept feeling off. Kell and Parker hate each other. Parker is over critical and just cold to everyone. I don’t really get why Kell thinks he is hot at first, but hey to each their own right. Parker is an Alpha he has a lot on his plate. He is taking care of his brother and his brother’s son. His parents are really rich dirtbags who have disowned his brother. Well, Parker is made of better stuff he won’t abandon his family. He works a job he hates and goes to school. That is his life no time for anything else. Kell he is an Omega. He also has a huge confidence problem. He too is working a job he hates and going to school. Now here is where I have trouble with Kell, he won’t go for a better job in the career he wants, but thinks he has good work and hates that Parker cannot see that in his art. To me, these are two opposing ideas that conflict and do not make a ton of sense. But I was willing to go with the fact that is human nature, we don’t always make sense. Overall there is heat in this story and great storytelling that kept me turning the pages. There are places where you have to suspend belief in order to make the characters make sense and there are a few over the top moments. Overall a great must-read story that has good depth.
To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit.):
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth King, 'Save that he kids' series from EM Leya or 'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, but not really an often reread book
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I give this 3.5 stars... I loved Kell, Parker's brother (William) and nephew and they redeemed this story for me. Kell was a wonderful character who needs someone to build him up and help him with his confidence issues. Parker is an all around jerk, (not to his brother or nephew) but everyone else is treated as if they don't really matter. He never once tells Kell sorry for a misunderstanding even though it was because he was acting shady that wrong conclusions were jumped to. Like stated earlier Kell needed someone to build him up a bit, to boost his confidence and Parker's way to do that was criticizing his artwork. *Smacks Parker with a rolled newspaper* That is NOT how it's done Parker! Maybe try explaining what you think he did "wrong" instead of just putting his work down! I will definitely be reading William's story (if one does come out) because he grabbed my attention in his areas of this book.
This is an interesting book and I really enjoyed it. It is well-written, entertaining and the characters are engaging. Kell is an art student who has no confidence in himself or his art. His fellow student, Parker, is an excellent artist but he is very abrasive and doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. When they are put together for a class assignment their attraction to each other is clear. Parker has not told Kell about his past and his family issues so when there is a misunderstanding Kell runs away from him. I wish this story had been longer so there would have been more time for their relationship to develop and more interaction between Kell and Parker. I loved the ending and I hope we get to see more of Parker's brother William in a future book. I was given an ARC to review by the author.
I already love this author and this is one away from previous work, but I feel in love from the first page. Two students both extremely gifted artists but never had anything to do with each other. Kelly an omega and Parker an alpha have been in the same college art classes since freshman year, both not really mixing with the other students. Kelly feels as though Parker is overly critical of his work, always having an opinion that was not greatly constructive. Parker was helping his younger brother and nephew after they found themselves in direct straights, between them school and work he didn't have time for any kind of relationship. Forced to work together on a project both realise that feelings are developing and they have to decide if they want to fight for it.
This is a story with the two main protagonists disliking each other. They are both in the same art class, while one is a beautiful soul, the other is standoffish, rude, obnoxious and happens to be the best in the class. they are pushed together by their teacher, and soon they are discovering so much more about themselves and how they feel about each other. Add in the fact they are now neighbours. I liked the way their romance developed, it was well paced...but... it all went so quickly after that. The author could of taken this a little further, the ending was rushed, I mean we got pretty well all of the answers, but I just think each of the answers deserved more than one line each. There was minimal angst between the two, but lots of nastiness, a little sexy time and a major misunderstanding. Aside from that one small issue, I enjoyed the book.
This was a really sweet story that is full of angst. Parker is a man who is an excellent artist and has an excellent future ahead of him. Now though he is losing his trust fund from his parents because he took in his brother William and his little boy. Kel is another excellent artist, but has no self esteem to speak of and is unable to sell his work because of his shyness. Parker takes exception to that and critiques Kel's works in a cruel fashion. Thrown together they find that they are drawn to each other. Secrets and misunderstandings make it hard to keep their connection. Definitely worth a read. I just hope that the author has plans for William, Parker's brother as he has a great story to tell. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book.
I like this story. Kell is a good person who needs to believe in himself. Parker is a great brother and uncle, but his people skills are non-existent. The two men meet in art class, where they are the most talented students; then they find out that they are neighbors. The men don't get along well at all, then their teacher pairs them up for a project. A new understanding, along with attraction, begins to form between them. I like both Parker and Kell, though each need to be shaken now and then. I like how they become better as individuals, the more time they spend together. I like Kell's friend Jessie and Parker's brother and nephew. And I hope to get to read about William finding a mate who will love him and Nate the way they deserve.
An entertaining book the writing was good if not a bit predictable. The plot was interesting and it was steady throughout the book. There were a couple of things that I would have liked more detail and info. on. I found the story and characters likeable. The characters were developed and thought out. Kell Eden and Parker Leipold are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, Mpreg, art, paintings, family, unhappy workplaces, a friend and so much more in this book. I did like a part towards the end about art studio B and the events there in. I can recommend this book as a good read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
This was a very enjoyable read for a Sunday afternoon. This is not my first book by this author, and once again I enjoyed the writing. You won’t find lengthy descriptions of events and detailed analysis of feelings. With few words, the author conveys very well the mood, the background, the overall sense of two apparent rivals who discover they may definitively become a power couple. Each has a positive influence on the other and it is easy to understand that they will have a bright future. A little drama, conceiling mannequins and supportive side characters add to the feel good storyline.
Beautiful as all the other stories from Ashee Moon, this one talks about Parker and Kell, two incredible artists and men, starting from their creativity they build a life going through all the passion and the uncertainty all of us experience when love is concerned.this story shows how smart and prepared is this writer able to space from fantasy to reality talking of worlds very different from one other with the same capability and the same knowledge. An undoubtedly good reading and a very refreshing story.
This was a fairly short fast paced love story. While it’s well written and an easy read, I had trouble really getting to know the characters. The plot was extremely predictable. I feel like character development was lacking a bit. Also the story ends at about 84% with a long preview of the following book. I would never discourage anyone from reading this book, because it wasn’t bad, it just was missing something for me. I still plan to read the next book in the series.
This story actually started out strong and then...not sure what happened. Went from mature adult to teenage angst reactions in the blink of an eye. Definitely didn't suit the starting point maturity of the characters and definitely the book cover is deceptive in showing mature looking adults.
I did get the feeling that what they were feeling were attributes of a mated pair. I think the author would have done well to have someone explain that to the clueless couple and/or for the reader expecting more from a strong start to a weak/rushed ending.
WOW!! This a great Book. Rivalry can be a double edge sword. Parker is an Alpha who doesn't want to be bothered by anyone. Kell is an Omega dreaming of being an artist. These two attend the same art classes. Both have dreams and ambitions for greater things. Parker has been juggling things he can't control. Kell lives in a world of self doubt and fear. These two end up bringing out the best in each other. ASHE MOON takes these characters to the brink. A happily ever after and great epilogue is AMAZING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!
Another good book from Ashe Moon. Parker is an arrogant but very talented artist. Kell is also a talented artist, but lacks confidence in himself and his work. Kell takes offense to Parker's critic of his work and believes that Parker hates him. Parker and Kell are now teamed together to work on an art project. Watch as secrets are revealed and their relationship sizzle. This is a low angst, sexy read. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
This is a sweet quick read. Kell and Parker both are students at ADA but Parker is a loner and very talented. Kell wants to be the best artist but he can't work up the nerve to put himself out there. He can't figure out why Parker hates him and always puts down his work. There relationship is going great until a misunderstanding happens and Kell runs. Can Parker get his man back. I voluntarily read a arc copy
A good and cute enemies to lovers story. Kell and Parker are both art students in the same class. Parker has always been very arrogant and very critical of Kell's work. As Parker and Kell get to know each other when they're teamed up together for a project, they start getting to know each other and sparks fly. They have a few bumps in the road on their journey to their HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
not gonna lie, Parker pissed me off a lot! lol but i grew to love him. i def loved Kell, but he needs to work on his self esteem. but like they say, opposites attract. i love the struggle and then finally the coming together. they both struggled with wanting each other, but they are pretty perfect together. would def recommend!
Got this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. And honestly a great story. Of too talented men where the attraction is so strong and due to their nature it manifested in dislike. Their journey to taking the chance with each other is well done and both get to see the treasure in the other and fall in love. Abrupt end but still good.
