- The story of crayola gives us the history of crayola and its creators- Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith. We get to see how they developed the company and what their inspiration was! At the end of the book, there’s a small section that relates to subjects like social studies and math. Lastly, there’s a quiz that readers can take to check what they learned by reading this.
- I thought the book was a little boring. I personally don’t like reading anything about history. But, I really liked that the book was super interactive for children! One of my favorite aspects of the book was the small quiz at the end to check for understanding.

I really liked reading this book. It was very simple yet colorful. It was obviously geared toward small children and I will surely use it in my classroom library. The storyline is not meant for an adult, yet it has many interesting facts that most adults may not know. The entire book is very colorful. From the cover to the short quiz on the last page. The book does a great job of describing the story of Crayola and gives the reader a clear understanding of the text. The text is surrounded by color and each illustration matches the time period described on that page of the story.

Read aloud to my husband while he was cooking. We learned a lot we didn't know about crayons—who came up with them, how they were made, and how Crayola went on to market and produce them.

Fun history of Crayola crayons. Perfect for curious kids. I wish the History of Fun Stuff had been around when I was a kid.
Written in four chapters, readers will learn the history of drawing from ancient times to today, the problem with early wax crayons and solutions that led to the development of Crayola Crayons, and loads of fun facts. Makes me want to get a box of 64 crayons with the sharpener in the back!
