As a human being, Artie Buckle is a grade-A schmuck. But he's a pretty damn fine cop. Good thing, because Brick City is under siege from its citizenry and only an unlikely partnership with a mysterious, tentacled, extra-dimensional being can put an end to the escalating crime problem. Thing is, there's a danger far greater than cub scouts robbing banks . . . oh my! Across space and time lies a far greater threat, not only to Brick City but to the world! Holy crap! Can the two get past their differences and save the planet? Well, of course they can, but getting there is gonna be a helluva fun ride.
* An epic genre mash-up: horror, humor, crime, and science fiction!
This was weird, yet fun. I didn't know what I was getting into and I fell hard for the idea of a horrible monster turning into a cop and being saddled with the one officer who does not want it near him. We've slipped into Invader Zim silliness, where nothing makes sense except the cliches. The art suits the content. The characters are two-dimensional, yet willing to evolve. There's a million things that could go wrong with such an attempt and the team pulls through with consistent inconsistency. You can tell they had fun reworking the cop/monster genre.
(I'm experimenting with a personal checklist in order to understand what I look for in the genre. This got 25.25/50)

This comic series reminds me of The Goon with its attitude and its absurdist humor. The art maybe not everybody's cup of tea but if you can pass and imbrace the humor and horror, you made have your next favorite comedy series.
