We all have guilty pleasures.

Mine was the boy my father took in. The guy everyone said I was too good for. The one I knew would ruin me.

But I couldn't help it. The way Noah Greyson's voice sounded when he sang whiskey lullabies to me in the dark; how perfect his arms felt wrapped around my stomach, his nose nuzzled in my hair- that's what made me fall. That intimacy was what made me so very weak. But now millions of women drift off to sleep while Noah sings the love story we wrote, and it was never meant for the world.

The worst mistake I made wasn’t loving him, it was thinking he loved me, too.

At least, that’s what I thought until now…

Title: Whiskey Lullaby

Whiskey Lullaby ...alright, alright, alright. Talk about a rocker romance!
I'm going to be honest here and tell you that I have been in the middle of moving homes... I was on road for over 30+ hours and I didn't pack many books for me to read, just 4. hahaha. Whiskey Lullaby was one of them. I think it says a lot about a book if you can't keep it down while you travel for over 1000 kilometres.

Whiskey Lullaby was surprising very sweet and the end was seriously romantic.
Hannah is a sweetheart. She is the epitome of what a good girl should be. Noah, is the quintessential bad boy, on his way to becoming a rock star. I will say that Noah is a conundrum. He is definitely a true example for the saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover." He is sweet, considerate, thoughtful, hardworking and bloody hot! Hannah is a saint but with a backbone. She doesn't mind getting a little down and dirty, she is most definitely not uptight... I love the fact that Hannah and Noah are such opposites but together, they have this ease to them, a connection that feels organic and real.

Whiskey Lullaby is a true contemporary romance and I have enjoyed reading it thoroughly.

I chose Whiskey Lullaby for a couple different reasons: 1) because I love the duet of the same name that Alison Krauss and Brad Paisley sing and 2) because I love a good ol’ country boy romance.

Initially I really, really enjoyed this story between Noah and Hannah. They meet at one of his gigs in the local bar and he’s immediately taken with her, singling her out with his song choices and making a beeline for her when he’s on break. Even his song choices (‘I met a girl’ and ‘Take your time’, both by Sam Hunt, hummed right along with what I was looking for).

However, unfortunately for this story, I am a huge fan of Sam Hunt. And as a big fan of his, particularly his Montevallo and Between the Pines albums, once I started to notice way too many similarities I couldn’t unnotice them.

"We drove right past
That no trespassing sign
Sat on the tailgate
And watched the planes take off"

These are lyrics from his song ‘Cop Car’, and this EXACT scene happens in the book. Now I could forgive the fact that he sings two Sam Hunt songs to her the night that they meet and that they trespass to go watch some planes, that’s not too much similarity for me. HOWEVER, they also have an almost exact scene from his ‘Speakers’ and several other songs.

And honestly, I was thinking that maybe this was just one of those times when my brain went into overload and started noticing patterns that aren’t really there – UNTIL towards the end. If you aren’t a Sam Hunt fan you may not know that his entire Montevallo album is about him and Hannah Lee. You may also never have heard his song ‘Drinkin’ Too Much’ where he talks about how much he hates himself for ruining what they had and breaking her heart and:

"I know this might seem like a contradiction
The last thing you need is more unwanted attention
But you changed your number, and moved
And this is the only way I could reach you
So wherever you are, turn it up and listen"

Nope, not a coincidence. I don’t fucking buy it.

If you’re interested in this story go listen to a Sam Hunt album instead.

"I can promise you, Noah Greyson is just a dirty little player. Nice to look at, stupid to get involved with."

With Whiskey Lullaby I discovered a new facet of Stevie J. Cole's writing. I'm used to mafia books or even the mind blowing Game series. With this one, the author embarks us on a deeply emotional story. It was sad and at the same time made me laugh. It was raw and  beautiful, and I you ask me, one of the best cocktail ever.

I totally fell in love with Noah and Hannah, as theis feelings were perfectly conveyed.

Hannah, a young nurse needs a reprieve from the weight she caries on her shoulders due to her mom illness. Noah is a guitarist and singer in a local bland. Bad boy his bad reputation him. They are drown to each other, but Hannah and Noah's blossomimg feelings, self doubts, and lives are complicated and what was inevitable eventually happened, they broke apart.

"There was something like gravity pulling me in. Something familiar. Something about her that felt right even though I knew I’d ruin her."

Noah was utterly swoon-worthy, I could almost her him sing and the kindness he hides so well under his tough attitude warmed my heart. He is such a complex and beautiful character! His Grand-Ma is fantastic, I could totally picture her (I just found out she was the author's Grand-Ma, it's incredible, I love her!)

I loved witnessing their first times and the way their relationship evolved all along. The mystery, although a little underwhelming, as to why they ended up at the situation of the beginning of the book, remained intact. Miscommunication and immaturity are common mistakes at this age, and the author brought me back to my young years and first love with this book, in a small town atmosphere that felt real.

WHISKEY LULLABY is a feel-good read, about loss, saying goodbye, family, but also second chances, forgiveness and the ability to open your heart and take a chance. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a sweet emotional read, enjoy!

I just love the title of this book and it seems like stories with "whiskey" in the title have always been good for me so I figured, why not?

The story starts off with Noah and Hannah being apart. We find out that they were together but obviously something happened and Noah is miserable.

We then go back to when Noah and Hannah first meet (in a church since she's a preacher's daughter) and how her anguish draws him in. He later finds out that her Mom is dying of cancer so he tries a few different things to make her feel good.

I thought it was wonderful that they are just friends for a while. Noah doesn't have a great reputation and when Hannah starts staying the night at his house (just sleeping), the gossip in their little town goes crazy even though she's twenty.

description

Noah's also a singer, playing at the local honky tonk every now and then. Naturally, he writes a song for Hannah but she's having a hard time not letting his reputation taint their relationship. And all the town folk regaling her with his wild deeds doesn't help.

I have to hand it to Hannah, she was pretty strong in her convictions. Her Mom helped her see things in a good light as well. It was just circumstances that drove them apart...or caused Noah to leave.

What Noah did to find Hannah was pretty spectacular...and social media at its finest. I was a little concerned that there wouldn't be enough time for "them" at the end and I was right...I felt cheated even if it was pretty amazing.

First time read by this author for me. The title caught my eye and the blurb sealed the deal and I one-clicked. I enjoy a small town setting and the musical element struck a chord as well. I'm always a sucker for a bad boy/preacher's daughter scenario, too. Both characters are very likable and you really want to cheer the bad boy on to victory! This Tin Man really did have a big heart.

The story is a slow start with a past/present plot. I found it a bit one-sided and would have enjoyed a little more present and less past. But the ending is the opposite -- rush to the finish line with very little interaction between the couple. And those letters? Where did they come from? Never got a solid answer regarding those . . . although I drew my own conclusion. I definitely thought there should have been a bit more face-to-face communication considering the angst and problems that separated the two in the first place. But it was a quick "that's all she wrote, folks."

This fell into the "liked-but didn't love" category, along with a P.S. that it coulda, shoulda, woulda if only there had been more time spent directly on relationship issues and a more in-depth resolution.

"...music was his way of saying things that he couldn't."
.

It takes me one whole day to fully digest and come to terms with my emotions because Whiskey Lullaby has wrecked me in the most beautiful yet devastating way.

The way the story was written was both brilliant and captivating! Alternating between the past and the present, we get to fall in love with the pre-heartbreak young adults who are just stumbling into the notion of love, to grow with them and understand their story that eventually leads to the post-break couple trying to come to terms with their mistakes.

I've known and read about the many tales of reformed bad boys, and they have always been my guilty pleasure, but Noah was something else altogether. Perhaps it was Cole's magical pen, or just how realistic Noah's character is...there's something undeniably alluring about their love story that captured my very heart.

From the secondary characters who give awesome pieces of advice (you go, grandma!) to the thoughtful and romantic gestures in the most traditional way, I loved the authentic feeling that I get when I was diving into Whiskey Lullaby.

"He told me all he wanted to do was make me smile, and all I wanted to do was make him feel like he was good enough."

Stevie J.Cole has delivered an epic tale of modern-day Romeo & Juliet weaved with a sense of originality on her take on the classic bad boy/good girl romance.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

I'm abandoning this at almost 40%. I can't take the tension setup by the first chapters. I mean, we know he breaks her heart and that she's still devastated a year after he leaves. So we know that they fall in love, that he leaves, that she's devastated. And then we jump back and get to watch it all happen. And the thing is, I really like Hannah. She's good in that innocent way that comes by choice rather than ignorance. And Noah is an at-heart good guy with a heaping helping of self-hate that you can see is going to be the factor that blows up both their happiness.

Anyway, this is well-written and the characters are interesting. And I'd probably be all over it if I had any hope that Noah wasn't going to blow up Hannah's life exactly as badly as she suspects he will. Giving us those first chapters so I know the depth of the pain in advance just kills me.

I'm abandoning this without rating because I see the appeal and it's very well-written and the characters would normally be just my jam. And while the author's decision to forecast the way she has made this unpalatable for me, others will love that inherent tension and the anticipation knowing that Noah is at the apex of choosing differently (in those first chapters that give everything away) and making all right again for the HEA implicit in the romance genre.

It’s been 2 years since Hannah left home to pursue a career in nursing, but when she learns her mom has cancer, she returns to her childhood home, taking a job at the local ER. She wants to be young and happy, soaking up every minute of her youth, but how can she be carefree when her Momma may not have much time left?

One night at the bar with her best friend, Meg, she hears the voice of an angel—a handsome, tattooed singer, looking right at her. Hannah learns his name is Noah and Meg quickly warns her that Noah is the town bad boy with a bad reputation and a long list of conquests. Even though she’s been warned, Hannah can’t help but be attracted to this off-limits musician.

Hannah runs into Noah sooner than she would’ve expected—at her house, no less. Her father hires troubled young men to work on their farm and he’s hired Noah for the summer. It seems that Noah and Hannah can’t stop running into each other and as much as she wants to deny it, Hannah has a thing for Noah.

But Hannah’s the preacher’s daughter and everyone is warning her about Noah—and everyone is telling Noah that Hannah’s too good for him. This only pushes them together and the chemistry they share is undeniable, like nothing either of them has experienced before. Despite all odds, they want to be together and prove that reputations aren’t everything.

Their whirlwind love gets halted when they suddenly split apart. Hannah leaves Noah, cuts him out of her life and forces him to say goodbye to both the small town and woman he loves.

It’s been a year since Hannah and Noah have broken up and yet Hannah still can’t get over her first love—Noah. Little does she know that despite the fame and fortune Noah has gained the past year, Hannah is all he thinks and cares about. And her life is about to be turned upside down when Noah returns to the place where it all started...

Whiskey Lullaby by Stevie J. Cole is a small-town, second chance romance. It starts with the perfect premise—the preacher’s daughter and the bad boy. We know from the start that Hannah and Noah break up, but we get to watch their romance blossom from the very beginning. Then we get to experience their heartbreak firsthand. Both Hannah and Noah are lovable characters and I kept waiting to see what forced them apart and if they’d end up back together. This was my first Stevie J. Cole read and I’d love to read more by this author—4/5 stars.

Rockstar and regrets.

When Stevie J. Cole said she was writing contemporary, she really did, and damn! my heart melted over and over.

What a beautiful story and that isn't something I've been able to say before from this author who normally delivers dark and angst with L.P. Lovell, well apart from War Hope and that just broke me.

I loved this book!!!
I have a new BBF on my shelf people and his name is Noah Greyson.

Noah Grayson is from the other side of town, a small town that is full of gossip and small minded people that just loves to point the finger and it always pointed at the boy with no parents, a boy they labelled trash but Noah Grayson has a gift and that is to sing and one day his voice would take him from this small town and away from the girl he was just starting to love.

Hannah Blake is the preacher's daughter, a nurse and not someone who listens to the town gossips and thank God she didn't or this beautiful love story would never have blossomed.

Whiskey Lullany is a heartwarming read, a story of first love, opposites attracting, soul mates and second chances, a book to lock yourself away with and absorb all that is Noah and Hannah.

Yes I love dark and angst and I love this author's previous books but I also love the balance and Stevie J Cole nailed contemporary.

"Some people are meant to pass through your life while others are meant to be your life"

"This woman was my muse, the first thing I thought about when I woke up, the last thing I saw in my mind before I fell asleep. Hannah Blake was the definition of my everything"

Swoon Sundays just got better, this is the ideal book to curl up with.

No angst, cheating or drama and hand on heart no-one dies or gets killed, lol.
Told in dual pov's leads to a hea.

"Loving a man like Noah Greyson was like holding a gun to your head and walking towards the edge of a cliff, one way or another, you were going to kill yourself. It was just a question of which way you would go."

Whiskey Lullaby
By: Stevie J. Cole
4.5 Jai Guru Devum, Om Stars

When Stevie J. Cole said she was writing a contemporary romance book, I was like no way! Known for her brutal dark books, I knew I had to read this one to see what her thoughts would be on what a contemporary book would be. Boy oh boy am I glad I read this one!

Growing up the ‘preacher’s daughter’, Hannah has always lived her life in the right way. The way that everyone in the small town of Alabama pictured a preacher’s daughter to be. Never getting into trouble, never getting arrested, never sleeping around.

Hannah is now older and has become a nurse. When her mother is diagnosed with cancer, Hannah moves back to the small town she grew up in to help her father take care of her mother.

Noah is the bad boy that everyone in town talks about. Rumors fly so quickly about the horrible trouble this boy has gotten into, how many condoms he buys, how many girls he’s slept with, how many times he’s been arrested.

But when these two meet, where they come from…which side of the tracks, it doesn’t matter. All Noah wants to do is make the sad girl smile again.

This story broke my heart. Not going to lie! Stevie J. Cole can write a great contemporary romance. The story flowed great and was full of emotions. Toss in a grandma that everyone wants to have and you get a book that you can’t put down till the very last page.

Whiskey Lullaby is not Stevie J Cole’s usual sub-genre. I’ve loved this author’s books in the past and was intrigued by this change in direction.

In truth, I was also apprehensive when I received this book because although I’ve read rock star/musician based books that I’ve enjoyed, it’s not a sub-genre that’s at the top of my list.

However, although Noah is a musician, it’s not about his fame and experiences. Its not a lot of things I thought it might be. It’s deeper than that and I was pleasantly surprised.

This story is definitely character driven and the way their relationships evolve throughout the story brings them to life, making them almost tangible. Of course there are ups and downs but for me it was less about the trials and tribulations and more about them.

This is a heartfelt tale without the dark twists and turns I’ve become accustomed to from Stevie J Cole, but no worse off for it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

Grrr

I have been on a role with this author lately. I loved that she write heroes with no OW (at least once the characters start their involvement). I didn’t like this one, because while he claimed to be in love with the heroine, he pretty much immediately went and screwed somebody else. No excuse for that, it is basically cheating. She wasn’t with anyone of course. They were only broken up for 18 months. It’s not like it was 10 years. Then when they do inevitably get back together, he lies and tells her “there was only ever you”. I also didn’t like that you don’t find this out until almost the end of the book. After thinking I knew her writing style, I was blindsided. BS and really disappointed in the author.

I’ve only read one book by this author and her co-writer, so I was amazed when I discovered that the genre of this standalone is one I really enjoy reading. Whiskey Lullaby’s title I found a tad confusing since I hadn’t read the synopsis which I have to say, was a good move. I love that element of surprise and if you do too, I’d definitely recommend doing the same as me. The pieces slowly started to fall into place with the cover constantly in the back of my mind. Just wow! It’s what dreams are made of! It portrays the male protagonist’s physical appearance as a young man, perfectly. Those jeans, his leather jacket and ooh my, those hands and scruffy beard! A total swoon overload of gorgeousness!

Bad-boy-meets-good-girl and second chance romances are trending a lot these days; thus, for any author to be brave enough to write a novel of this sort, has to be a challenge and a half for them. You see, I never put Noah in the bad-boy category, it is; however, a second chance love story. Even though Noah was a bit of a tearaway as a teenager, had a love ‘em and leave ‘em attitude with the girls and trouble found him easily, his general outlook towards life was by no means negative or disrespectful. I had absolutely no trouble connecting with Noah; I understood him. Shame folk in the small town where he grew up seemed to think differently to me. Their stance showed me how hard it is to rid oneself of a bad reputation and how its ripple effect can change one's future. Thank goodness for his adorable but grumpy grandmother. Her guidance and loving was to my mind crucial for him to grow into the young man he would become. Blinkin’ heck, did she get a chuckle or two out of me, and I thought I had problems with punctuality!

Hannah is the epitome of a good girl. A studious child, she kept out of trouble despite stressful things happening at home, and always put her family first. In other words, she could do no wrong and was totally selfless. I’m not sure young women like Hannah exist nowadays, but I’d be honoured to meet someone like her if there were. Another detail which caught my attention is we’re used to reading about family conflicts and troubled pasts. This is definitely not Hannah’s case. She might not have agreed with her father on various occasions, but she held him in esteem, and the unconditional love that existed between mother and daughter literally floored me.

Cole’s spun a touching story in such a way that not only was I kept stuck to the pages, but it also brought out all the feelings. Jumping between past and present worked well; nonetheless, there was a point in the story when I felt certain details could have been developed a tad more. Observing how Hannah and Noah changed over the years was a joy to read and their slow burn relationship couldn’t have been narrated any better. Bravo Cole!

8**ARC GENEROUSLY PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR ***

3.5 STARS
.
This was my first book by this author, and it was a pretty good read.
.
Noah and Hannah's story developed gradually. This book had past plot and a present plot.
.
Hannah's mother is suffering from Cancer, and she and her family are devastated. Hannah's father always brings in "strays" or misguided people to help them get through by working for him. This time, he has brought in Noah.
.
People say Noah is hopeless. He breaks people's hearts and walks away unscathed. He is the bad boy of the village. Noah also sings. Noah also lives with his grandmother and takes her to church. Noah loves her. Noah thinks he is not good enough for Hannah.
But Noah breaks Hannah's heart.
.
Hannah is the good girl. She believes that Noah is not what everybody says that he is. She sees Noah, and falls in love with him. He is the only one for her.
.
The Plot - The story and the concept of this book were good. It was kind of a second chance rockstar romance trope. But, I had a problem with story telling. A majority of the book was in the past. And there were no alternate chapters between past and present. The present stops at about 15%, and we pick up on present at about 80%. Believe me, the past part twas amazing. Their story was sweet, slow burn and heart breaking. But, I wasn't a big fan of the reason that they got separated. Also, their separation did not last for a big time span. It was only a year. So, I didn't find the need for the story to be told in past and present. It could have been just told in a normal way.
.
I recommend this book. It was a sweet tale, and don't rely solely on my opinion. The reason of separation that I find troubling, will touch greatly to others.

I really enjoyed this book.
It is different for others I have read from Stevie but so good.

This book is about Hannah and Noah.
It is good I loved Hannah she is sweet, sassy and the preacher’s daughter and she falls for the bad boy.
My heart did break for her she returns to her hometown when she finds out her mother has cancer.
She meets bad boy Noah. I have to say I really liked Noah she falls for him and he falls for her. I have to say I want Noah’s grandmother I adore her.
I not going to say anything else but I say read this if you love a good love story with some tears and humor along the way. This book has it all.
Loved the writing and the story and kept turning the pages until the end.

3.5 stars actually.
This was a good written book and I loved both Noah and Hanna.
The problem was that it felt very predictable all the way.
“I don’t want to hurt you” “Don’t hurt her” “I know he is going to hurt me”
And??? Can you guess???
A few years ago I would have given it 5 stars but I have read a lot of fun and easy reads like that so I’m hoping for something more complex and less of a cliche.

This is an emotional story about first love and second chances. It goes back in forth in time and is told in both Noah and Hannah’s POV. Noah is a bad boy with a bad reputation from the wrong side of town. His grandmother was the only person who was ever there for him. The only thing he really has going for him is his singing. Hannah is the preacher’s daughter. She was always the good girl and never got into trouble. She’s a nurse and moved back to town to help her father take care of her sick mother.

Noah and Hannah know they shouldn’t be together but they are drawn to each other and can’t seem to stay away until a big misunderstanding breaks them up. I loved how he went about finding her and trying to win her back! It was definitely unique. Lol. I really did love these two together! They’re complete opposites but end up being really great for each other! I felt the ending was a bit rushed and I wish there were at least a few more chapters. I would really have liked to see more of them after they got back together! Overall, I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend, especially if you like second chance romances!

I loved this book... I loved this story... I loved Hanna and Noah... My only problem was that the author build the story in a slow pace and then ended it a little abruptly... I wanted a little more toward the end... Other than that it was a great read...

I will preface this by saying I loved A Love so Tragicbut I found this to contain a lot of stereotypes and a story I've read many many times.
1) The bad boy who rotates women every night, gets into fights, has tattoos, possess one talent that is their ticket out of the town where said bad boy is misunderstood.
2)Virginal good girl who loves bad boy unconditionally, turns him around and makes him see the error of his ways, sleeps with him (may or may not ruin her reputation) and then gets her heart stomped.
The other minor characters Meg, Trevor and I forget the other one, are also cliches.

So I apologize to those of you who really liked this story. I thought it was just OK. Keep in mind this is just some crazy chicks opinion and you know what they say about opinions....

This is something completely differently from this author I’m so used to her dark books and I was intrigued to see what she would bring and I wasn’t disappointed at all.

Hannah is the typical preachers daughter, growing up she was the good girl who never rocked the boat until Noah. I liked how we got the perfect mix of the past and present so we get to see how their fledgling relationship moves from friends to more and how it all fell apart.

I may have something wrong with me but I love reading a book that breaks me and gives me those feels and Stevie does that with amazing ease. Such a beautiful well written story.

"There was heartbreak written all over his smile but, at that moment, I swear it felt like no one else existed in that crowded bar aside from he and I."

Still reeling from this one!! This beautiful story was so filled with every emotion possible I could not move until I read the entire thing. This is a love story for the ages, not because it was filled with hearts and butterflies, but it was flawed, and real, and just amazingly heart grabbing!! The Author did an amazing job with both characters and broke my heart over and over, just to put it back together that left me smiling long after I read. The secondary characters were hysterical, and it was a heady journey that I wish I could re-live over and over and over!!

"That girl...God, I knew I could hurt hurt and I didn't want to do that, so as much as I felt like the planets lined up to throw us into each other's orbits, I swore to myself I would ignore it and walk away. Some things in life, you just don't want to taint."

Bad boy with a hidden heart of gold falls for the unattainable purity of the Preacher's daughter and they fall deep, it was intoxicating and pulled my heart strings so tight, they were ready to snap. That kind of love just hits you in the feels, even though every mistake they made, small town gossip, everyone telling them it wouldn't work, they just couldn't stay apart. I laughed, I swooned, and I cried...it just had everything!! I wish I could read it for the first time all over again.

"Bad boys really shouldn't have dimples-it makes it all the harder to not let them break your heart in hopes that maybe, just maybe, you could have theirs."

Loved this captivating story about Noah, a really upstanding guy who didn't deserve his horrible reputation. It caused him to hurt Hannah, the perfect girl for him. Noah's grandmother was the hilarious "voice of reason" in that small, narrow minded town, full of busybodies, who needed to mind their own business. I hated that Noah and Hannah walked away from each other. But the surprising ending made it all worthwhile.

Italian Review

To be honest I didn't know if I would have liked a second chance romance but since the author blowed my mind with Bad and she will be at RARE in Rome ... I thought why no?
But my bookish instinct is never wrong because here the problem was exactly the genre. It's sad to say but basically I'm not a person who hardly give second chances so I should already avoid this novel but as I already say I wanted to read something else by this author.
I realized that just as in real life, even in books, I don't like reading about this theme, about couples falling in love, doing a mess and then get back together because in the end you know that in the second chance there is always a happy ending and this means that I already know how the story ends (in addition, the HEA is not one of my favorite endings).

Despite this I have to say tha I liked main characters. Hannah is the classic good girl and Noah is the bad guy with tattoos that strums notes on the guitar and manages make it into the music world. I really liked the the fact that they met at the right time in their lives: when Hanna needed someone to make her smile and distract her from her family situation, when Noah needed someone to believe in him, someone who tell him he was enough.

In my opinion the story is very pretty and if you like second chance I'm sure you will love and appreciate this novel better than me.

3.75 stelle!

***I will forever hate that I was so weak for you, but I was only weak because I loved you. Despite it all.***

Such a sweet and emotional ride...

This book was about music, pain, loss and love. It wasn't very painful, at least for me, but it didn't leave me completely unaffected.

Noah Greyson is known as the bad boy. Not only is he the ladies man, but he has also been arrested and owns a honey-like voice.

Hannah Blake is the preacher's daughter. Missy goody two shoes, who has her own burdens, which is why she is back to the small town.

***“Patience is a virtue; any preacher’s daughter should know that shit.”***

This was a hilarious book. Sure, there were sentimental moments, but the joy and happiness overcomed the sad ones.

One character that grew on me was Noah's grandma. She was strong, lovable and simply hilarious! I fell in love with the old lady.

The main couple was sweet and made me feel all kinds of goofy. I was smiling like an idiot whenever those two interacted.

This book is amazing, I almost have no complaints. Except that the ending was a bit too rushed.

Overall, it's a sweet and funny romance with a HEA.

English Review

"Some people are meant to pass through your life while others are meant to be your life"

Who can say no to a bad boy with a good heart?

Hannah is the preacher's daughter, and that's all you expect someone with that title to be, good, obedient and close to her family.
Noah is the boy whose parents warned you, sexy, player, and problematic.
These guys know each other since Hannah must go back to her small town to take care of her mother, realizing that she has cancer and should help her father with her. Noah lives, can be said, drowned in this place, where everyone knows each other and everyone gets into the affairs of others, until his grandmother goes one day to church and meets the beautiful daughter of the preacher, who changes his existence.

From the beginning you see that they are made for each other, how they complement each other, how they meet and fall in love, making you fall in love too.

This is a second chance love, so I do not want to get too involved in the discord part, but it was so beautiful to see it develop. The chemistry between the protagonists is so great that you can feel it in your own skin.

This is the first contemporary book by Stevie, but she did it as a veteran, the prose is fluid and intelligent. In one moment you are on the edge of the chair, the other laughing and the next with handkerchiefs about to drop the tears.

This book will hit your feelings, but it's okay because you'll feel happy about it in the end.
Makes sense? No. Ok, just run to read it and thank me later 

No. ok, sólo corre a leerlo y agradéceme luego 
