Now the drama starts.... Moe being heartbroken thinking something else.. not opening up to Ebi about it.. and Ebi not knowing whats going on and wondering why she's sad all of a sudden... 😑😑😑😑 and this bish.... who is liking Ebi... ugh He better not do something stupid... my heart hurts for both.. JUST GO ON A DATE... GET MARRIED..
I don’t understand how Moe-Chan hasn’t figured out that crying everything single time she does something she thinks is embarrassing is actually embarrassing? LOL
This continues to be a really sweet series. I love seeing Ebihara come into his feelings for Moe, and it's just so full of blushing I can hardly stand it! I can't wait for more in this series!
I truly just can't get enough of these two, and the people around them rooting for them to have a relationship. Age gaps can be hard, but this one is done REALLY WELL!!!
moe sasaki has a five-alarm crush on her local fireman but she has no clue that he actually likes her back. she keeps trying to douse her feeling for him or, at the very least, hide them.
kyosuke ebihara has intense self-control, choosing to not act of his feeling for one woman and one woman only. he’s hesitant to reciprocate because of their age difference. for a fireman, he’s really good at keeping anything from heating up.
🔥 age gap 🔥 firefighter 🔥 slow-burn
SPOILERS
moe jolts awake in the middle of her lecture after having a near wet dream about a hot-as-hell fireman. she dreamed that he kissed her deeply while shirtless, backing her up against the nearest wall. the only hard surface she’s pressed against this actually the table of her desk.
mana enomoto is an actress on a tv drama, rescute. she’ll be shadowing the fire station for the next few weeks. in the last volume, kyosuke reduced her from a carwreck and ever since, she’s been slightly obsessive over him. she revealed her feelings to him but he politely rejected her.
okay so that little pat pat on the head was a little demeaning. why treat her like a little kid? & at the restaurant he wiped a crumb from her cheek right after doing the same to her little brother.
i’ve aged her up in my head to twenty-year old college student. there ain’t no way a grown ass man should date a high school students is in any way okay. the only acceptable solution is to consider her a grown woman without teen in her name.
moe bakes some cupcakes and delivers them to the fire station after her lectures for the day. she hands it off to the fire chief after the crowd of onlookers watching mana, a popular tv actress chatting with the hottest fireman in the unit, kyosuke. the fire chief gives kyosuke the cupcakes and tells him that moe stopped by and seemed off, and not her usual upbeat self. moe makes the foam in a latte spell out agony which was pretty impressive, albeit sad. i did like that he called to check-in on her, although he’s a bit dumb to not immediately know why. he was sweet though to ask her to vent to him.
kyosuke has two brothers, one three years older and another eight years younger than him. i liked that kyosuke was irritated at the sight of moe being popular with other guys on campus. the eyebrow twitch. the squeezed water bottle. later on, they get trapped inside the storage closet on campus. hello, forced proximity trope.
for the title of the mange being my boyfriend in orange, he sure isn’t her boyfriend yet.
This story is ooey-gooey sweet and a ridiculously slow burn. That's not a bad thing, necessarily, but I'm finding myself wishing it would hurry up. The last three volumes have felt like more or less the same thing, though we are learning more about the characters and their lives.
I'm still not exactly sure what the age difference between the two main characters is, either. All of the adults seem to not be bothered by it, but I am still just wondering if I should be cheering them on or shaking my head at them, haha! It would appear that age is the main hangup of the story, though. I'm just confused, I guess.
Still enjoying it, but haltingly, if that makes sense. I've decided to continue on a volume-by-volume basis, rather than just plow through the whole series (though I only have five volumes left and they are all rather quick reads). So far, I'm still willing to continue and wanting to see what happens!
3.5 stars...again. Ugh...I LIKE this...I just blew through volumes 2-4 in one sitting...but I don't LOVE it. I don't know...it's so cute and I think things are being handled well with the age gap...but it's getting kinda old fast. It's just not ENOUGH for me. And while I think it's totally appropriate...it's not making for the best reading experience for me, personally.
Volumes 1-6 are free with Comixology Unlimited...and I am not sure if I will continue with the series after that. We will see. It's a good series, love the artwork, like the characters...but I think it's just not quite what I want right now and I don't think it will be worth the investment (for me) to buy the rest of the series.
I'm finally starting to keep the firefighter characters straight (I literally got them confused all the time, but now I'm starting to recognize their personalities in the series). But I really just want more from Kyosuke. Like his thought process on why he is holding himself back from Moe? Is it her age? It's hard for me to tell what his hang ups are and I want to know!
KU only has this up to volume 6, so hopefully I'll get more of an idea in the next two volumes.
Aaaaa the idol pop was really irritating. I don't know why. I kinda felt bad for Moe :( So many feelings in this volume, it was adorable! Moe is somewhat starting to grow and starting to not be the weak girl in the first volume. Ebihara is aswell growing.
This isn’t the best manga series I’ve read. I can’t think of anything that really makes it special compared to others of its kind. It is interesting enough to keep reading.
I am enjoying the little moments between Ebi and Moe, they're so precious. The introduction of the idol rival was a fun new rival, but I wish it lasted more than just a volume.
Oh my gosh, laughed out loud with this one! To thank Moe for a gift, Ebi decided to take her on what she assumes is a date, but it's to a fire museum! Lots of cute moments in this one!
this series isn’t even jaw dropping but I can’t stop reading it. I’m 100% invested for some reason. Props to the author for knowing how to pull in a reader 😂
