Shimana and the landlord finally kissed, and now she's even more in love than ever--or is she? The group decides to celebrate both Zen and Shimana's birthdays, but when Miura brings a surprise guest to the party, Shimana's love for the landlord is put to the test.
This series. I love it. It still frustrates me. But I love it. Also, Taiga's only 5 years older than Shimana, why does everyone act like their age difference is so shocking and vast? Other series have larger age gaps with everyone encouraging the couple to be together. I don't know, just things I think about.
This wasn't my favourite volume of Dreamin' Sun but I still thoroughly enjoyed it! I think, for me, this didn't make me laugh out loud as much mainly because of Fujiwara's father trying to intervene in his son's personal life which really got my back up because I completely ship Fujiwara and Shimana! But I also really like Zen too and think it's so sad how he vainly pursues Shimana only for him to have his heart repeatedly broken! In addition, there was quite a bit about Miura's backstory in this volume too but since I don't really care much for his character, this didn't really raise his profile in my opinion. I felt incredibly sorry for the girl who liked him though :'( A solid 4 stars.
Plot twist!
This volume didn't stand out as much as others, but it was still very enjoyable! I'm loving this series and it's cute & carefree attitude! My favourite character still remains the same AND THIS SHIP BETTER SAIL. I've already pre-ordered the upcoming volumes and I absolutely cannot wait to get them in the mail!
Just kidding, *this* on is my favorite--I love Chapter 32.5 the MOST. She always hits it right on the mark with the side stories. I can't wait to see more!
Rating: 5 Stars Trigger Warning for Car Accident Involving A Pedestrian This manga just gets better as each volume comes out and I absolutely adore it. This is about a girl named Shimana who moves into a house with three other guys when she runs away from home and shenanigans that go on in her life as she tries to find love. I absolutely adored this seventh volume as the characters in this have grown so much. I did want to attach a trigger warning to this chapter in case anyone is triggered or has experienced a similar experience that may bring up negative emotions. I do not wish for anyone to be triggered so if you do read this please be wary of that. I loved that this manga featured a side story at the beginning. While it was a somewhat self contained story it did also become incorporated into this manga and I loved that. This was such a fun volume as it really showed some characters really growing and coming out of their shell. They are working to try to get to a place that they are happy and it is such an interesting journey to watch. I cannot wait to read the next volume of this manga as it always makes me feel good after I've finished reading it and I have such a fun time when I do read this.
Lol is it really a shoujo if someone doesn't get hit by a car at some point?
ZEN IS SO CUTE I WANT TO CRY. Like ughhhh. Zen is the obvious choice!! I will rant about her crappy "relationship" with the landlord forever. Also he's 22? I definitely thought he was like 26/27, maybe because the one lady that likes him is 27 and also the way he dresses makes him seem older. So the age difference isn't as bad as I thought... but still. I feel like I wouldn't be so adamant about it if it weren't for the fact that beyond the age thing there's zero chemistry between them. It. Doesn't. Make. Sense. I do feel bad for landlord and his insecurities which I wish we could explore better, but he needs a better love interest. Shimana is cute and bubbly, but she just seems like such a child. And while the landlord is still young and immature, it seems more like Shimana looks up to him that is in love with him. Love gets tossed around a lot and it all feels so shallow. There are cute moments and I don't hate the landlord. He's cute and awkward, but ugh I'm annoyed. I feel like they're trying to make the dad the bad guy and while he is a bit controlling and overbearing. He makes valid points.
To be honest, this manga story is typically Shojo manga. The story is full of dream like a tittle excepting Asahi and Manami. The relationship between Asahi and Manami is real. That fact makes me sad.

The description on the back of the manga is a bit misleading...
I thought this one was all right. It's getting more complicated and serious as the story progresses between Shimana and the Landlord. Now with the controlling father of the Landlord it's getting tougher not just for Shimana but everyone else, too.
Fingers crossed things will turn out okay for everyone involved.
3,5/5 This was a funny and cute volume. Shimana is still trying to get closer to the landlord and her and zen are finally back into the house. Miura, the cop is also there and her and zen want to go camping with the others so that’s what they do. The landlord wants to see her alone after dinner but Miura stops him and he sends Zen instead. Zen is obviously happy but he notices how miserable Shimana looks and decides to go get the landlord because he’s the one Shimana was waiting for. In the end they kiss and they couldn’t talk about it right after but everyone notices that something happened. Shimana broke up with the landlord during his birthday but she got him a present: 3 tickets so she can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. He asks for a hug and it was cute. Also Shimana and zen’s birthday are coming up and he wants to go on a date with her to celebrate but taiga wants to join and they fight over it. During her birthday taiga’s dad goes to visit her to her Hs and tells her to stay away from him and don’t say a word about what happened. Shimana feels lonely and she believes she has to deal with it on her own because taiga is always rescuing her. He’s at work but another prosecutor got sick and he has tons of work. Shimana and zen go out and he got her a lot of notes to wish her a happy birthday, a panda hair clip and a note. Shimana is happy and they spend the day together and they go to eat and meet Miura who happens to be there. He tells Shimana that while the landlord dad is around she won’t be able to be with Taiga. Later on, the landlord gets drunk with his co workers and complains about women and people leaving him. He arrives to Shimanas window drunk but he got her flowers and he wants to know what zen got her. He also knows about her dad speaking with her and tells her no to grow apart from him and ignore his dad. Miura goes back to visit the HS girl that got into an accident and in a coma and she’s 22 years old now but he has a girlfriend. The landlord dad arrives to the house because he talked with shimanas parents and they want her back. He believes they shouldn’t live with taiga because they are all underage and if an incident happened taiga would take all the blame. He goes out to talk with his dad and he wants him to stop hanging out with high schoolers and people that are not as rich as them. Shimana steps in and confesses her feelings towards the landlord. She doesn’t want to leave the house because they need to spend time together so he can fall in love with him. His dad would be back later on to bring her back to her house with his family and taiga is grateful but he believes she doesn’t have to try so hard. Once he falls for her he would tell her. Shimana is always pursuing him and it’s lowkey sad because while I believe the landlord had feelings that doesn’t want to admit he could do so much more. Also zens reaction to the flowers was really cute and asahi is lowkey funny. Honestly I don’t remember much of the beginning of this book but it was an average read and it’s funny and entertaining
I started out enjoying this series just for its cute factor. We're seven volumes in, and I feel like there hasn't been much progress in the story itself, nor much character development. It feels like the author is repeating the same events, but with a different skin, over and over again. Shimana, the landlord, and Zen feel like they're just spiraling in the same sequence, while the other characters, like Asahi, Ken, and the landlord's high school friend, all just watch from the background without any real input. This volume felt like it was going to pick up and have some real conflict when Taiga's father shows up, but then it just sort of sputters out. I'll admit, I was left wondering what was going to happen next, but also with the thought "at this point, do I care enough to keep going with this series?" I'll hang in there for at least the next volume, so perhaps the author will make volume 8 explode in some way.
After searching and searching I finally got my hands on a copy of this volume. I truly thought it was going to be impossible without spending absurd amounts of money. Thankfully one popped up in a used book store. I'm so happy to be back in this series. The art style just like with other works from this author is beautiful and cute. I just love it. I'm still having a wonderful time with the story and characters. I'm laughing out loud and everything is adorable. I am not a huge fan of where the romance is going but still can't wait to continue with the series.
Another one I wasn’t completely thrilled with. I’m just not shipping this relationship. Maybe it’s because I worked on cases of minors being sexually abused and manipulated by adults that this kind of makes me “ick”. Plus, this whole “I’m gonna make you fall for me” and “Just wait. I’ll fall for you eventually” mentality is definitely not romantic or sweet. The reason I gave this 3 stars instead of 2 is because Zen’s reactions on the birthday date are hilarious 😆 🐼

Can't really decide how I feel about this. I don't like it entirely but I don't hate it either. Zen still deserves better. We also haven't had any updates to Asahi's revelation that him and Taiyou are brothers. At the same time, I'm shocked that Miura has a girlfriend? And it isn't the girl who was in a coma previously. He's quite similar to Taiyou actually. The aloofness that comes across to people who aren't close to them. Anyway, let's move on.

This story is still just so wishy-washy feeling. I guess after how deep and intense the feelings were in Orange, I expected the same thing from this series...
I mean, heck, I liked the super short side-story intro manga about Shiho and Miura better than the main story.
Gonna keep reading to find out what happens, but I really just...don't love it.
More of a 3.5 star rating; I really don’t like Taiga’s father and wish he could let his son live his own life. I’m glad Shimana had a good birthday, thanks to Zen. I kinda feel bad for Miura and feel more neutral towards him instead of dislike for him. Also, I’m still very much team Zen and want him to be happy.
Sudah omongannya nyengit, eh, masih bawa bawa adiknya yang disuruh deketin Shimana. Ternyata juga dia tuh mata-mata bapaknya landlord. Dosamu akeehh to, mas mas... Masih untung dia ngga ikutan naksir Shimana, satu tipikal di banyak manga atau drama.
Duh, saking lamanya ngga update, sampe lupa ni volume sampe dimana hahaha...
Volume Review: 5/5 I like Miura-kun even though he's kind of interfering and there's an interesting backstory about him in this one. Taiyou's dad is messing everything around but it's making Taiyou think. Looking forward to the end of the series.
